I need help for renting a house

Posted by Lonelykitty on 2012-05-15 11:58:00

I live in the bay area and rents on houses are very high.Since I really need a yard and garage,an apartment won't do.I also need room to set my photography equipment and a room to use as a library for how to books.having people over is just too disruptive in a multiple building.I just don't have enough room and I need more space for my business to get it going.Lack of space is making it very hard,as well as lack of privacy.

Money to start my new life

Posted by shan on 2012-04-04 21:58:43

After my mum and step dad both passed of suicide when i was 17 I was left alone in my mums house, all the bills got transfered to my name,as it was a 3 bedroom house I had bills coming from every direction, I was then moved to a 2 bedroom house in hope that when my brother came out of prison he would have a place to live, the bills still piled up and he didnt come out to help as i had hoped for.
I started studying a course im in love with and passionate about spending every penny to travel 60 miles a day i barely even have bread in the house at times.
Im coming to the end of my course which is photography and special effects media makeup and unlike all the other girls on my course, i dont have a kit i have been trying to save but when you live on nothing its hard and its upsetting they all have parents to pay for any equiptment they want.
I have a brilliant business idea which relates to my course and i really need a kit, every penny counts and id be deeply greatful for any help to fulfil my dream. Thank you all God bless your souls xxx

Getting back into work after serious illness

Posted by CarySerendipity on 2012-01-24 07:58:27

My name is Kacey and 2011 proved to be a bad year for me. I am a Freelance Media Consultant and was quite happy with what I was doing and achieved. Unfortunately due to severe stress (brought on by serious family situations and illness) I suffered a stroke the beginning of that year. I consider myself lucky because paralysis was only temporary and I'm back up and about walking around. I was only 44 years old when this happened and now registered with the hospital for the rest of my life. They even carried out a brain scan to make sure I didn't have a brain tumour. I was given the all clear with that. On top of that I also suffered a bout of colitis soon after. I've lived with the disease for ten years and manage it extremely well, I live with it and lead as happy and healthy life as I can. BUT it was the stroke that turned my life upside down and it has taken a while to get my head around it. I had no support from family but I thank goodness for close friends who have helped me through this health issue.

I now want to get back to my freelance work and during 2011 I continued helping out with a local community newspaper writing articles and taking photographs when I could. It was then I discovered that my hand writing had been affected by the stroke, but I'm getting there and my hand writing is getting better! I also found the quality of my photographs were also affected and not as good as before I had the stroke, they are not as clear and concise as they could be with a little digital camera I have. It has no anti shake. And yet my earlier photos are now attracting interest and people are now asking if I can be booked for taking photos for them. I'd love to do it and I'm just pleased that the community newspaper that I volunteer for have been supportive throughout. HOWEVER if I am going to add to my work experience and concentrate on my photography and writing I need to invest in some new photography equipment and a laptop to move onto new career challenges.

Effectively, after a year out I am starting out from the beginning again with being a Media Consultant and asking for help to achieve this. I have never asked for help before with my work, so hope that whoever is out there reading this can help towards achieving the camera equipment and laptop I need to progress into my photography sphere. I also plan to study at college a part-time photography course from September 2012. It'll last 3 years but it will be worth it and a qualification at the end of it. Just because I had a stroke does not mean the end. It just means adapting and getting the best out of life that I can. Anything is possible so don't write me off just yet!

Thank you for reading this true life whoever you may be.

Camera

Posted by elceekei on 2011-10-23 14:58:21

Hi there,

I am a high school student, graduating next year and a practicing photography. I own an outdated Sanyo digital camera which I sticked with until it broke down a few days ago. Since I come from a not-so-well-off family, I do not have the money to buy a replacement.

I know what I ask for is somewhat really unnecessary for the many of you out there, but those who are willing, I am humbly asking for some bucks to buy a $533 camera, which I hope isn't a lot for you folks out there (it is already an exorbitant amount, where I live). It's a Canon EOS 1100D (Rebel T3 in the US), a pretty basic DSLR with the most basic features.

It's my dream camera.

If you have a used camera though, you can also give it to me if you like.

Since I don't have a PayPal account (I don't want to get involved in online banking) please do contact me here or at my e-mail.

Your donation can mean a lot for me. You can help a starving guy find a job in the future. ;)

Any amount you can donate can be a big help. :)

Thank you very much.

First, A little about myself. I am a single father to a grown daughter, an out of work bartender, and a lover of travel and photography. As a single parent i have made a lot of sacrifices over the years( i am not complaining, just stating the facts). I am very proud of my daughter and would never change a moment. Now that my child is all grown up and out on her own, I would like to learn to be a little selfish and enjoy the years I have left. Beside my child my biggest loves are travel and photography. I would like to put the two together and create a business that I can enjoy and be proud of. Now that I finally have the focus on what I want out of life, I find myself out of work and out of money. All I do now is try to find work to pay the bills and I find myself living day to day. I'm hoping that maybe someone out there knows what it is like to have a dream... a dream that is slowly slipping away. Please find it in your heart to give little. Something. Anything. Every little bit will help me achieve the dream of having my very own business. Travel photography isn't for everyone, but to me its a dream that I have put off for a very long time. Thank you for taking the time. joey

Family split - kids needs urgent assistance

Posted by geoffinneed on 2011-09-02 13:58:05

My wife had me removed from the SE Asian country we lived in and from where I made a living. I am back in Australia now, without work, on the dole and my kids need $3,000 for school fees, but it's more complicated than that. If I can't get the money within a week, the ex will move them out of the rented house and take them to another city staying with relatives. That will mean all my valuables - professional photography and video material and personal stuff there will be thrown out. She certainly wont protect my belongings but that is not the big deal - it's getting my kids, 14 and nearly 12, back in school. My son is particularly depressed and scared about all this. I am prepared to pay my way out of this when I secure work or work on your project if that can work. I sincerely need help on this so I hope you can help. Regards Geoff

Photo Gallery Business

Posted by Jogdish on 2011-07-18 00:58:16

I have started photography about 2 years ago, and it has grown to be my passion. I am looking to open up a photo gallery with some of my photos in San Diego, California, to bring more art and culture to people. My family and I are moving there from Las Vegas to start a new chapter.

The money would be used to buy new camera equipment and operational money to run and market the gallery.

My wife and I like to give our time to help people, so part of the sales will go towards, children with mental and physical disabilities. There is a place down here in Las Vegas called: Opportunity Village. If you Google it, it will give you an idea of the great things the people are doing for these disadvantaged kids. And I would like to contribute to things like that through my photography.

iMacs for teenagers at work

Posted by snooper71 on 2011-05-05 05:58:10

I have been working in a juvenile transition home for 10 years as a night guard and recently I have been aware of some of the teenagers being into photography and video editing. Having had used Apple products myself for the past 6 years, I thought it would be nice if those teenagers could be given something nice to work with. Generally speaking, those teenagers some from broken home or home where parents neglect them. In 90% of the cases, our day staff (social workers) succeed in finding their "place" in society. Some finding jobs, some continuing post high school studies. But a nice helping hand is always good.

In the past, we have received bikes from local sports shops, ipods from walmart, outdoors sports equipment (basketball and volleyball nets) Most donations were significant but none where the teenagers could explore their creativity on a more artistic level.

I am therefore, in their names, "begging" for either iMacs, Macbooks or money to acquire them for our residents. Any money donations can be sent to my paypal. For actual HARDWARE donations, you can contact me at email address snooper71 @ GMAIL . COM where i will provide you with the resident address and business info that you may need to "write off" your donations

thanks
Steve

Just trying to make it back home.

Posted by vslayer21 on 2010-11-05 14:58:58

Hello, my name is Jacob. I'm 26 years old and recently moved back to a small town in Alabama, from Charlotte NC.
I lived in Charlotte for over 6 years while I attended college and made a life in the city. I worked and was a full
time student and barely made it by but always seemed to make it, thanks to hard work and amazing friends I didn't know
until I live in the Queen City. After graduating college I was forced to moved back home after the full time job I had,
was cut to one day a week. It was extremely short notice and I had nothing saved to live off of, and despite my efforts
I was unable to find another job right away.

But the bills kept coming in, most importantly rent and power.
That was the reason I was forced to move back to Alabama with family, living my life behind. It's been months
now and I still can't get ahead. I have student loan payments I had family cosign for so I have to keep them up, and the
job market in this town almost imaginary. Especially for someone with a degree in graphic art. SO what I'm asking is for
anyone that can spare anything, a dollar, change, whatever it adds up, to helping me get back to where I was happiest I'd
appreciate it.

I have a plan to start a photography/design business with one of my friends I just have to make it back and it doesn't look
like I can do it alone. Also I know there are people in more need than I am. All I can say is that if this helps and can get
back to where I want/need to be in my life, believe me I'll be paying if forward and helping others. Thank you for your time
if your reading this, and any help you may be able to offer.
