My husband is a disabled, retired Army veteran. About 10 years ago he purchased a camp in Maine that he planned to fix up and move into for his retirement. Unfortunately he has suffered flood damage twice, once he had flood insurance, or thought he did, but the insurance company refused to pay saying they hadn't processed the payment on the day he opened the policy and the flooding occured over the weekend so he was not covered! The second flooding FEMA came in and didn't bother going under the house so they only gave him $800! Both times the flooding destroyed all the insulation and a great deal of work. He now has to jack up the house, have a foundation put in, then level everything in the house. He cannot live there. He applied for an equity loan from the bank as the property is valued at $139K and there is no mortgage. But we have moved to Nevada as I was offered a job here that paid better than back east. We want nothing more than to get this house fixed up in Maine so we can either sell it or possibly retire there. Right now if someone was willing to give an equity loan of $40,000, we would take that instead of begging. Please consider helping us before this Maine house gets flooded again and we lose everything there. If each person who reads this can only give $1, it wouldn't take long to reach our goal and then we could give back in the future!

Hello, I am a student wanting to accomplish my dream by obtaining my degree in biology. I have been in school thus far for three years and have one more to go. However, I can't afford to go anymore. I recently lost my job, have no finacial aid coming in, and my parents basicaly told me I'm on my own. I don't have bad parents they just can't afford it. I have been stuggling for some time now and I came across this site. I'm not a lazy person looking to get by on others I am a hard worker and am looking for another job. I just have been having the worse of luck and cant afford to apply for a loan. I am looking for help. Please if you can just donate. I spent 5 years working so hard to achieve my goal of becoming the first person in my family to get their college degree. One year shy of graduating I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I lost my job and had to go down to part time due to health problems, and I no longer have the ability to continue on with my dream. I physically can not do it. My medical bills continue to mount and I now have $75,000 in student loans I have to pay back for something I will never be able to use. MS is an expensive disease to have, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I am devastated and completely lost. I am out of options and money and each day that passes is bringing more stress than the one before. I am doing everything I can but I can't keep up with the collection calls anymore. It's so hard to come on this site and ask for assistance, but when you have four small kids you have to do what's best for them. My husband is the only one working Full-time and I am not able to go back to work due to the expenses for childcare. We have an 8 yr old son, 5 yr old daughter, almost 3 year old, and a 4 month old son. With just one person working, each month we are living paycheck to paycheck, but having to get loans and when my husband gets paid all of our money is gone. My heart hurts for my family because I have to see us struggle and not have. There are many times that we don't know where our next meal is coming from or how my husband will get to work in order to pay bills and support us. I have tried working online but have been unsuccessful. Each time though God has provided for my family and we are still blessed. Please if anyone can help my family out. We really need you. A few years ago my wife and I divorced. I got stuck with her car payment, student loans, legal fees, and credit card bills. She was awarded our house, but because it was purchased under a VA loan, it remained in my name. She hasn't made a single payment on it in over two and a half years and it is now in foreclosure. My credit is shot. I am a union electrician and due to a bad economy I have been out of work for two out of the last three years. Things got so bad for me that I went over two years without seeing my children. A few months ago I was finally able to borrow enough money from friends to get an attorney and get visitation of my kids again. With all my ex wife's bills that I am responsible for, plus child support and my own cost of living, I am unable to stay afloat. I am drowning in debt and the stress is taking a toll on my body, as I have been gaining a great amount of weight. I know the economy is bad for many people, and I am ashamed and embarassed that it has come to this for me, but I am turning to the many good samaritans that I know are out there and asking you for your help. I am a good person and when times were good for me I always helped the less fortunate when and where I could. Now I, unfortunately, am the less fortunate and I need your help. Hello everyone, my name is Ryan and I am 18 years old. I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after witnessing the sudden death of the closest person to me in the ENTIRE world, my best friend who lost his life 7 months ago. Many times I become anxious or depressed, and my SSRI medication allows me to function in a normal society. I am currently and constantly looking for work, however I have been unsuccessful in the past few weeks. I can no longer afford to pay for my medicines, and I can not afford to pay for my doctor visits. Without getting back on my medications it will be difficult to acquire a job and without income I may end up homeless. I never thought I could resort to this, but I am begging for help. I have a 2 year old baby. Last week a man shows up at my house (that I was renting from my mother.) And he says to me"I just bought your house at the tax sale, I'm going to start the eviction paper." The thing is, my own mother betrayed me by not telling me or give me any notice. I am a single mother who lives paycheck to paycheck. I don't have any money to move, give first and last months rent, switch utilities, etc. I can't drive due to a car accident that I had which left me legally blind in my left eye.I know the economy isn't great and a lot of people are suffering financially but if you are one of those fortunate people that can help someone, please find it in your heart to help me get on my feet, for the sake of my child. I can't bear to think of living in a homeless shelter with him. Anything can help. I will be eternally grateful to whoever helps me. I have never begged for money or help and to be completely honest I hate that I am sitting writing this now, I am normally the kind of person that just gets on and deals with a situation.

I have slipped into a seriously bad financial situation, I lost my job and have got myself into a cycle of payday loans I just cant control the situation anymore. I really need help and quickly.

I am becoming very depressed and have pretty much sold every thing I own to try and raise extra money, it is effecting my relationship and my family are starting to become effected too.

I need around $1000, this is to cover fuel and car expenses so I can get out and work when I can also hunt for a job as well as general living, any money I do get is given straight to payday lenders.

Any help at all will be massively appreciated, I know there are a lot of people in the world who have the means to help, although I am not expecting any donations I am desperate and you know what they say about desperate times.

I am waiting on Social Security disability but that can take 8 more months so I am going to try a different approach to asking for help, instead of asking for one person to donate all I need I am asking each person who comes across this ad and reads it to send me one US nickle, heck even a US penny will do, it all adds up and if enough people send me a penny or a nickle I will be able to catch up my utilities so I do not loose my rent assistance and end up homeless. I just completed my legal studies and I would like to sit for the July Bar. After taking out a six figure debt, I am unable to get a loan to cover the cost of taking the bar in July. The reason I have been refused a private loan is because of my high student loan balance(ironically)

Hello, my name is mollie. I came abroad to run away from my problems and start a new life for myself. I have no real family back at home and nowhere to go. I am writing this because my mom has fallen on rough times and I am trying to find ways to help her but am currently running out of options. My mom is a phenomenal person, she raised me and my sister practically single handedly after my dad took off. While she was doing this she put her self through a masters program and achieved her dream job! To top this all off she did this while diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis!!! Well that disease has started taking her down hill and now she is looking to have to retire early because her health is going down to fast, to the point I am very worried. When my dad left, he pulled the medical insurance from under her and now she is left with a mound of debt which she cannot get out of. I have been selling about all my possessions, taking additional jobs etc… to try and find ways I can help more but as I said am out of options and looking for any kind souls to throw anything our way to help her out. I appreciate anything that you can do and thank you for your kindness.

Hello. Im writing this with my pride put aside because i've let the love of my life down as far as im concerned and need help in order to pay the remaining past due rent for this month. This is not easy for me to do because of the overwhelming feeling of failure that just eats me up inside. We have been together for more than 12 yrs now and we have always managed somehow to make it through some extremely difficult times. This women is an Angel of Mercy for those who know her and to her family she is simply the rock. She is 1 of 5 sisters, all having 2 children a piece, and to which all 10 children she has taken in under our roof for extended periods through all the years i've known her. She is the most positive and giving person I have ever met! I LIVE FOR THIS WOMEN and have always reassured her that I could never at any cost, no matter how tough things got, give her reason for serious concern or not be able to get us past any finacial issues no matter how bad it looks. Yes im feeling very sorry for myself because I was a truck driver and lost my job because of an accident that was my fault and where knowone was injured, resulted in a dollar amount that was too high for my company to retain insurance in order for me to continue in thier employment. Week to week we got by and then back in December the freight slowed and my checks that the bulk of our bills and all the rent came out of, was now barely making the household bills. We fell behind Dec and Jan rent and was given such a break from an understanding landlord and we caught up in Feb with every dime of our tax refund given to a thankful landlord but one that stated, from that point on, we must be on time. After all the struggle we went through and the extreme patients and understanding of our landlord....now i've lost my job! We have spent the first half of this month calling and talking to and submitting applications to so many programs for assistance but getting turned away with no solutions. We have no more time and if forced to moved i will have let down the last person on earth that deserves it. Our rent is $675 a month and sent $300 yesterday and it was everything we had. we need $375 and nothing more. if anyone can help, you will find knowone more greatful beyond words can trully express and any additional info needed for your consideration can be provided if requested.
