I wouldn’t normally do this but I so want to go see me son compete in the 2012 London Olympics in the sport of Judo. My son will be given tickets to his event for us watch him compete. But neither his sister, my mother nor I have the money for airfare and hotel. I live on a very small pension and SSDI, which isn’t very much. I live with my mom helping here out since my dad passed away last year and she as well does not have much money either. I have no credit cards and had to file bankruptcy due to the lack of unable to work because of me disabilities and the state finally put me on SSDI and that isn’t that much. My son has been doing judo since he was 7yr old. When he took his 1st Junior National Championship at the age of 8 in Hilo, he came off the plane and told me we was going to go to the Olympic. He never lost that goal. He is now going for the 2nd time around. . Back in 2004 due to layoff and my job being outsourced I ended taking a earlier retirement. My son headed off to college with a partial scholarship in judo. I helped support him in rent, phones, car, insurance, as well as airfare to travel to many international tournaments to help him qualify for a spot on the 2008 Olympic team. I even went back to work using almost all of my funds including my saving and 401k’etc just to get him to the level that he needed to be at and because of that I was unable to go to China in 2008 when he went to his 1st Olympic games because I spent it all getting him there. Then in 2009 I got laid off because the job was being outsource but when I tired finding work I was unable to and the state finally tested me and told me because of my disability that I could no longer work and then put me on SSDI. So if your willing to help that would be a blessing but if you not I understand.

Hi, I'm a 40 year old woman mother of two pre-adolescent boys, I am seeking your financial help to buy food because I can not work because of two serious illnesses that struck me: In 2004 I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and personality in 2010 cancer of the breast. It is very hard to support my kids with my small pension.

The main reason I joined the police department is to help others. Unfortunately, due to the economic downfall, I have not had a raise in five years and opportunities for overtime are slim. I am making under basic officer pay, which is not that much. In addition, cost of leaving, healthcare, lawyer fees and pension contributions have skyrocketed. Many of my brother’s in blue have lost their homes and even had their vehicles repossessed (yes at the police station). I have been lucky to keep my job and am very thankful for that. My wife and kid both had inpatient surgery costing me thousands out of pocket. Due to my wife having complications with childbirth, an unknown blood disorder, and debilitating lower back/hip pain, I will continue looking for a cure for her no matter what the cost. I love my family and will do anything for them. With that said, I have $32,000 in student loans that I am unable to pay at this time and I am at risk of defaulting which will devastate my chances of applying for a much needed car loan. I am asking for any financial assistance to help me pay off my student loan and medical expenses. It is my greatest joy to help those that are in need and yes even die trying. I am in desperate need of your assistance. Thank you.

Hi there - I am 51 and my partner is 57. We have worked all our lives but lost everything, all our savings, in a small business venture 8 years ago. We both work full time and have moved to a remote part of Australia where housing is cheaper as the housing market in Australia is one of the most expensive in the world and we would like to own one before it is too late. Time is fast running out for that to ever happen, due to our ages and income levels. I am terrified of winding up in the public housing system in 8 years, living on the Government pension of approx $585 per fortnight for the both of us. We are also in debt for $22,000 and we faithfully make these repayments each month. We just need a break to buy our own, simple & cheap house, we are both hard workers but our situation long term is bleak. I am so tired of struggling and never getting anywhere and time is so quickly passing by. Any help will be greatfully appreciated. No scammers etc please.

My Beautiful wife died on April 13th the year before last – nearly a thousand days ago. God colected her when I went to the shops and she was on her own. 37 years we were together. I made a mess of the finanses because I thought I could pay off the morgage and leave enough for the bills. It didn’t happen like that and I cant pay them. I sold the car for the overdraft strate away. I’ve had no work since I took early retirment to look after her. Now I’m in my sixties, nobody will have me to work, and its 4 yers before my pension. I am ashamed to ask but I don’t know what else to do. Can you spare me some to pay my bills? Thank you if you can. And thank you if you can’t anyway. After my owner's husband died three years ago, she's had to make a go of it alone and take a series of manual labor jobs to try and support herself and me, her 6-yr-old pet dog. She does not receive any widow's pension as her husband was self-employed and so she has accumulated credit card debt because her own self-employment salary does not cover all of her utility and insurance bills, and some of my vet bills (I had an abcessed tooth, I'm ashamed to say, and that turned into a $400 procedure), and so she's been charging big bills such as auto insurance and machine repairs to her credit card. She says her truck is 15 years old and has over 130,000 miles on it, so she mostly commutes to our nearest town for yard work whenever it's available. She enjoys hard work, but right now, there's not enough of it around to cover our monthly expenses and so she's had to take out loans and we are getting deeper into debt each month. Please help this furry e-panhandler and her mom if you can.

Hi. I live on a small pension and make extra money by recycling. Recently my bike and trailer i use to collect items with were stolen. this has almost cut my income in half not being able to collect like i was. I have been trying to save up for a new bike and trailer. but with my income now half what it was this is just not possible. Please if you can i would very much appreciate the help. Just imagine if as little as 300 dollars could give you the means to earn a decent living. A hand up is all i ask. to once again have the means to support myself.

I've never done this before(begging for help) but I'm desperate and at my wits end financially. I'm really struggling right now trying to catch up on overdue bills and buying food and basic necessities. The past few months have been really difficult, due to my father passing away..I spent alot of money on parking at the hospital as well as gas driving to and from to visit him. As well as Christmas being a HUGE financial burden...if anyone out there can help me out, I'd be forever grateful and most definitely pay it forward when I'm financially able to. I'm a single parent of four kids, ranging in age from 6 to 16 and unfortunately their father can't help as he's on a disability pension. I can prove to whoever helps me that I'm on social assistance if need be. Thanks

Yes, I'm really 70, and I've had to self-fund my PhD program for the past five years from my small pension because no school or other source was willing to fund someone of my age. Now I'm ready to defend my thesis, but the piggy bank is truly empty, and I'll probably be unable to attend my graduation (in South Africa) this fall.
