MS ruined my dream

Posted by daydreamer on 2012-05-22 13:58:59

I spent 5 years working so hard to achieve my goal of becoming the first person in my family to get their college degree. One year shy of graduating I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I lost my job and had to go down to part time due to health problems, and I no longer have the ability to continue on with my dream. I physically can not do it. My medical bills continue to mount and I now have $75,000 in student loans I have to pay back for something I will never be able to use. MS is an expensive disease to have, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I am devastated and completely lost. I am out of options and money and each day that passes is bringing more stress than the one before. I am doing everything I can but I can't keep up with the collection calls anymore. If you feel it in your heart to help I can promise your kindness will not go unrewarded.

Save our home and my Mother's memory.

Posted by jamesad1984 on 2012-01-24 09:58:41

I would like to post a message as it has now got to a serious stage where me and my family will lose our house.
I'm a 26 year old man who lives with my 2 younger sisters 17 & 20 and my mother of 50 who has terminal cancer. Our father passed away 4 years ago from a heart attack and we have been struggling ever since to keep our home.
My father racked up debts without anyone knowing until his death of upwards of £75000, when he passed away we had to remortgage our house and my mother cashed in on her life insurance so we could keep the house.
Now as my mother has terminal cancer and has no life insurance me and my sisters are looking at becoming homeless, I work full time in an office job but my wage is not enough to save the house and banks can only lend me up to £20000 to pay off the mortgage. The figure of the mortgage is at £60000.
Both my sisters are still in full time education and can't contribute, I have asked friends and families to help and have managed to get £20000 and i'm so grateful for there help.
To keep the family home which I have lived in all my life I require another £20000, I don't expect to raise this amount but literally every penny counts to help keep the house and me and my sisters together in this stressful time.
Ideally I want to sort this all out before my mother passes so she knows that her kids are ok.
Please help even if its just a small amount it all adds up. Me and my family will be eternally grateful for your help.

Thank you

Grave Stone For My Mother

Posted by alienannie on 2011-12-17 16:58:31

My dear Mother passed away at the end of September 2011. Her insurance barely covered her service. I am trying to find ways to earn money to buy her a grave stone. One that I can also put my Father's name on when he passes. He is 83. I'm disabled and live on $700 a month. Rent, utilities and food takes it all. So, it is difficult to save very much. I find odd jobs when possible. If you would be able to contribute a few dollars to help I would be forever greatful and will surely pay-it-forward when I can. Thank You!

URGENT: My fathers medical bills.

Posted by frankverrall on 2011-12-06 21:58:59

My dad is 83, he has a mortgage of around $30,000. Because of his age, he is unemployed. We are from New Zealand

He took out a mortgage on the house to cover medical bills. Such as surgery and home-help. Medications, travel etc.

He's been in a wheelchair and I'm struggling to look after him. I'm 22, I even stopped studying to look after him. I don't know what to do, because of this I can't get my education.

His wife (my mother) died in an accident on feburary 22nd this year while she was working in one of the buildings in christchurch destroyed by the earthquake.

I never thought about begging in my life before, But it has come down to this.

I plead to all of you, PLEASE help me. Help me to clear my fathers debt. Our whole family is destroyed because of this.

It's hasn't gotten better, it's only deteriorating.

Your thankful donation will go straight to paying off his mortgage. I wish by the time my father passes away, he will pass knowing he is debt and worry free.

Please help me, anything.. Big or small, Thank you so much

Truck Fire Surviver

Posted by truckfiresurviver on 2011-11-16 08:58:44

Hello. I am a commercial big rig driver by occupation. My story is 100% verifiable. I'm in dire straits as a result of an on the job injury that occurred on 9/20/11. On that day I was operating a tractor trailer in Lamar, Pa delivering a load from Ohio to New Jersey when the truck I was driving caught fire and exploded. I had to jump out of the truck while it was burning, minutes before it exploded, injuring me in the process. The truck was incinerated. There was no driver error. Everybody tells me that I'm lucky to be alive. I've been out of work ever since. I have legal representation in a workers comp case pending in Pa. My lawyer informed me that it may take up to a year before I start receiving workers comp benefits, because my employer failed to have workers comp insurance while operating in Pa. In the meantime I have absolutely no income. I already lost my home since the incident and is now staying with a relative in his living room. My car was towed for expired registration. My bill to get my car out of the tow yard is now $2500 and rising daily. If I dont have the money to pay the bill I will lose my car in less than two weeks. I'm in daily pain from and in serious need of post er medical treatment for my injuries but, without medical insurance, I'm forced to wait for medical treatment until I begin receiving workers comp benefits. Each and every day that passes I'm sinking deeper and deeper into destitution, anxiety and depression.I have a 6 year old daughter and cant provide even food for her, much less clothes and school supplies. I applied for welfare but the nc dept of social services told me that I dont qualify for public assistance because I have only joint custody of my daughter. Despite my explanation to DSS, that due to the nature of my occupation(over the road commercial transportation)I cant have full custody of my child, I was still denied public assistance. I cant return to work until my injuries are treated. I dont know what else to do but reach out to people for financial help via Beglist.com. My situation is 100% verifiable. If you have any questions please call 980-345-7601 and ask for Wayne. Any and all help that you can provide me will be truly appreciated

if you can, please help

Please Help a Graduate Pay Her $275,000 Student Loans

Posted by Tiffcat on 2011-10-10 18:58:49

Dear Reader:
I am currently an unemployed law school graduate who has over $275,000 in student loans to pay (college, law school, and bar study loans combined). I went to school with the goal of increasing my ability to earn a good living but I cannot find a job to save my life. I have been rejected from retail and restaurant jobs because I'm overqualified while being rejected from law firms because I am under qualified. I am now sinking into a deep state of depression over the fact that the tiny bit of savings I have left in the bank to pay my bills is rapidly shrinking as each month passes. School should not cost so much, especially if there is little promise for employment following graduation.

Unlike the average person who could use a little extra cash for something, I am nearing complete homelessness. My struggle is not with credit card debt but with educational debt and the fact that I'm unemployed and cannot convince any employer to hire me. Without an income and bills mounting, I will end up on the street by January. With little hope left, I issue this beg for help.

I would love to go and see my grandma

Posted by Desperateforhelp on 2011-09-15 14:58:51

My grandmother lives in Arizona and she is getting ready to turn 80. She is not in very good health due to age. My grandma has been like a mom to me and I would love to go and see her but plane tickets from MI to arizona are going for 450 each and I just cannot afford to go and see her. I'm afraid that I won't be able to see her before she passes and since she wants cremation there will be no closure what so ever. If you would like to help me get a plane ticket to see my grandma great if not please keep me in your prayers that I will find a way to go. Thanks have a great day

TAPVR BABY

His After giving birth to my son I thought all we had to worry about was maternity leave. Oh how I was wrong. On Dec. 24, 2010 our lives changed forever. I brought my son who was 2.5 monts old to the ER. There we thought he was just sick with pnuemonia. Three days later we find out he has a congenital heart condition TAPVR. Omg! That's the last thing we expected! While wainting for surgery our son contracted RSV virus and had 2 feet of his intestines removed. Before they could put his intestines back in his belly they sat outside his body for 3 days in a plascit bag hanging from his bed. Eventually he had surgery and is ok so far. We still have lots of physical therapy to go through. My husband and I take turns staying home to assist his needs. My mom was here to help butall of the sudden she became ill and passes away. Omg! We have been through so much this year and we desperatly need help with our medical bills. If anyone can help we would greatly appreciate it. Life is short so be kind to others while you can. I miss my mom very much but my son is still here so I know she gave her life to help him recover. Thank you!

Stage 4 liver cancer......

Hello, my name is Katie. Currently I am taking care of my girlfriend that has stage 4 liver, breast and bone cancer. She recently lost her husband of 12 years to brain cancer. She is left with many medical bills which we all know will not be paid off before her demise. However she continues to make monthly payments on the debts left behind by her husband. It's a monthly struggle to buy groceries, pay on the electric and keep up with the rent. I'd like to for once before she passes on help her out financially. She needs $55,953.99. I don't expect that much for I know that no one would donate that kind of assistance. However, I would not turn away any assistance for her.

I Need Survival Funds

Posted by kween1982 on 2011-05-01 01:58:10

I have been out of work for almost 8 months now and have sold as many belongings as I could. I've tried to live as frugally as possible, but the bills are piling up and I'm dealing with mental illness on top of that.

Please help me get on my feet. I need to keep my cell phone on for potential employers, bus passes, food and medication.

Anything donated is greatly appreciated.

Janice

I Just Need a Hand Up

Posted by mickeyalley on 2011-01-24 12:58:58

I am a simple person with few needs. I make do with little and give when I am able. Right now, I'm asking. Not a whole lot, just enough to fund me during my job search. Bus passes, copy fees, and other expenses accrued in looking for a job add up.

For example, my shoelace broke the other day, and I sewed it back together to get me through until I have money to buy new shoelaces. "Shoelaces or a bag of beans" are choices I must make at this stage of my life. And, we all know, we can't eat shoelaces.

Any amount would be appreciated, and I look forward to the day (soon!) when I am gainfully employed and able to give back through this site. Thank you so much.

Please Help Me Get My Dog Out From The Pound

Posted by GodzJewel on 2010-11-01 08:58:58

My dog was picked up for biting someone who was on our property uninvited. He was chained, with no way to harm anyone unless they came close to him. He barks to warn us when someone is on our property, and also to warn the intruder to leave. For some unknown reason, the person continued to walk toward him, and got nipped on the hand. Unfortunately, it was enough to break the skin.

Now, I'm told that I can't get him back unless I have a 6-ft. fence put up around our property. We already have one about 4-ft., but the hurricane messed up some of it and busted in our gate. Now it's gonna cost about $3000 to have an 8-ft. fence installed. Meanwhile, my dog is staying at the pound, and I'm getting sicker and sicker as each day passes that something will happen to him.

I would be very grateful for any donation amount that brings me closer to the $3000. Thank you in advance.
