Post a Beg Now!

Offer Withdrawn

Posted by Eve2012 on 2012-05-08 10:58:16

I can't delete any comments I left in response to some people begs, so I'm making a general post. I am no longer offering to pay for referrals on begslist. I don't know if any of you have read my beg but I'm a serious person when it comes to getting money because I need it. My situation does not give me the luxury to pick and choose how I get it.That is the reason I offered the deal that I did. quite a few people have signed up and done nothing. I do understand hat this is begslist but how can you seriously expect people to help you if you don't help yourself. Since I have posted here I received 3 false claims of help all turned out to be scams. So I wish you all many blessings but it is void except that individual that express interest yesterday and to the woman who wanted to participate a couple days ago. the door is always open to you. The only reason I would leave my beg posted on here is because I still have a little faith left that people other than scammers are reading the begs.

Pregnant, Sick, and Desperate! Please Help!

Posted by stressedtothemax on 2011-12-24 23:58:59

Hello... I am hesitant to post this as it feels a bit shameful and embarrassing. But times are extremely desperate and as the clock ticks, time is running out. I am a newly diagnosed HIV positive woman who is also pregnant with some other health issues as well. I've been unemployed for some time, and regardless of sending out my resume and filling out countless applications daily, I have been unable to obtain a job. I recently received a notice that if I don't come up with $3000 by January, my home will be put in foreclosure. I have hardly enough in my bank account for groceries, let alone any other bills and had the gas/hot water shut off just a few days ago. Things just keep getting worse! I'm willing to do anything I can for work, but so far no legit offers have come through. At this point, I am completely desperate. I don't want to be out on the street sick and pregnant. I have no family to back me up and am pretty much alone. So now I've reduced myself to begging. Begging for employment or any help anyone can give period. Nothing is too small. If anyone can find it in their heart to help at all, I've included a paypal link. Please don't judge me. I am not lazy, do not use illegal drugs or participate in any illegal behavior and I do not feel good posting this. Times are just so tough and the stress is killing me. I just want to keep my home! I want to To any one that can help, thank you... so, so much. It will be VERY much appreciated.

Paying medical bills not covered

Posted by SpiritualBeing on 2011-11-30 17:58:12

I am disabled and my medicare did not cover $8000 in expenses. I cant work and can only try to participate in good will activities for others when Im feeling fairly well. I tried the other avenues for public or private assistance. The only things left are to go door to door or stand on the highway with a sign like Ive seen others do. I couldn't even do that because of limited muscle and breathing capability. So something like appeal to a broad area like I'm doing could produce assistance, or I'm totally on my own and will have to anticipate a miracle and/or the end of the need for this kind of assistance. At least use your thoughts in the best way you know how for myself and others. I am doing so.

Logan's Heros

Posted by cori00125 on 2011-09-17 17:58:47

I am a 32 year old working mom of three beautiful children and I have the most wonderful husband anyone could ask for. We have the perfect mid-west life. We both work full time (and enjoy what we do), have a nice home, we're able to afford some luxuries in life although in moderation, that is enough for me. I enjoy cooking, and entertaining in my time off from work, and spending family time with my kids, parents, and neighbors. My children are Jordon (age 13), Logan (age 10), and Brianna (age 9). The kids are active in sports, and in our small community we are well known, and frequently can be seen volunteering at community events, church, and our local high school, of which we are both alumni. I live less than two miles from the home I grew up in. Sounds perfect if you ask me.

On February 18th, 2011 our son Logan (age 10) was diagnosed with a large brain tumor. He was not having many symptoms only occasional headaches. I was concerned that he may have been developing migraines and so I took him to see our family physician. His physical exam was normal including a rather thorough neurological exam. Dr. Arntz agreed with my initial thought and prescribed him some migraine medication. What a relief! He asked us to get a CT scan of Logan's head only as a precaution and he even stated that he didn't think there was any real concern, just a precaution. 5 days later, we were heading to the University of Michigan; Mott's childrens hospital because his precautionary CT scan had confirmed the worst for us. A 6 cm brain tumor in the posterior fossa of Logan's brain. Causing the cerebral spinal fluid to back up and create pressure in his head (hence the headaches).

Before leaving the house for the hospital we gave Logan a brief description of the problem, and explained to him that we didn't know what was going to happen next but we were going to the hospital to find out. You could see the worry on him but he was tough, shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, I guess I better call it something, I think I'll name it Steve." So off we went, notifying family on the way to the hospital, and completely sick to my stomach.

Three days later we would embark on the scariest days of my life. Logan was promptly scheduled for surgery the following Monday and we were told there was a high probability that the tumor was cancerous. Dr. Cormac Maher performed 14 hours of brain surgery on Logan on Monday February 21st, and confirmed our fears that Logan indeed had a cancerous brain tumor called medulloblastoma. Then more bad news the post operative MRI showed that they had been able to remove all of the tumor and Logan would need more surgery. The next day he underwent another 6 hours of brain surgery. We caught it early but based on where the tumor sat he may not be able to talk or walk normally for 3-6 months. Lucky for us he talks and walks very well all things considered. But there has been radiation therapy and chemo therapy will continue until February or March of next year. There is a 75-80% chance of survivability, I feel blessed with those odds.

Logan is doing very well but this situation has put an incredible financial burden on us. I am falling behind on bills and need help. Andy is working constantly and I even started a second job on the weekends to try to help supplement the lost income from prescriptions, gas to and from the hospital, and just having to take time off work for appointments and Logan's sick days... I don't know what else to do. The banks have tried thankfully to work with us but our circumstance is not going to change for quite awhile longer. Our family's do not have a lot of money, and have already tried to help so much that I think it may be putting a strain on them as well. The church sends gas cards occasionally but there is just not enough to keep us going for the next year.

Here' s the kicker, Logan started his own Relay for Life team. I had taken him to a local expo about 3 weeks after he had been discharged from the hospital because I thought it would be good exercise for him to walk around and there would be lot's to look at, and there was a booth for the American Cancer Society. He walked up to the lady at the booth and he said " How old do you have to be to have a team?" She signed him up on the spot. Logan Bailey's Super Survivors have raised $8300.00 for the American Cancer Society! He's only a little more than $1600.00 away from his goal of raising $10000.00 for the Relay for Life. We've held auctions, bake sales, and concerts. It's been a wonderful distraction for him and he is super excited about reaching that fund-raising goal. We have asked our friends to contribute to his goals in lieu of giving us personal financial assistance. It's more important to me that his endeavors to do more for others, are successful.

We cannot change Logan's circumstance. He will always be a brain cancer survivor, and I will forever be a medullo-mom. But, if we can make this even minutely easier for others having to face it after us then we will do it. Logan donated "Steve the brain tumor" to medical research and he volunteered to participate in a medical research trial for his treatments. We hope that the money raised for the American Cancer Society will make a difference in research and support for anyone suffering with a cancer diagnosis. We hope that the research will make the work of wonderful, selfless, people like Dr. Maher and his team easier and more successful. If I had been diagnosed with this same type of cancer at the age of ten it would have been a terminal diagnosis... the research is working!!

I need help, I need financial help for my family so that we can stop the worrying over finances and concentrate on bringing our entire family through this successfully looking at it in a positive light and remembering that we did it with hearts full of love and with others in mind. Logan is a truly remarkable child and I am so proud of him. I anxiously await your response Thank you for your consideration.

Opportunity to Participate in People to People for our 13 yr old honor student

Posted by teachercopparents on 2011-09-06 21:58:43

We were thrilled to receive a letter from People to People that our daughter had an opportunity to travel to Italy, Sicily, and Greece for 20 days to participate in a community help program. She is a pre-AP student, volleyball player, cross country runner, softball player, basketball player. She wants to be a Pediatrician.

I would love for her to take advantage of this life enhancing opportunity. My husband is a cop and I am a kindergarten teacher. The cost of the trip is $6500.00. If anyone is able to help it would make a big difference in our little girl's life.

The Usual Tuition Trouble Story

Posted by Ryoji on 2011-08-22 14:58:30

I am a Junior in college with Dance Performance as my area of expertise. I also participate in the local Christian Service Fraternity. I wish to avoid sob stories because to be honest I feel that God has blessed me with an overall very good life. I am not one usually to ask for money or help but unfortunately, the predicament that has been thrust upon me is becoming to difficult for me to bear alone.
Even if I wished to transfer schools to one that is less expensive, as of right now, I can't due to holds on my account preventing my transcript and credits from transferring, thus resulting in my having to start college all over again as a freshmen.
The total amount past due is just over $12,000. Any amount, little or small is greatly appreciated.
Feel free to contact at my email, ryojimayakin@rocketmail.com, so as to ask me any questions about my said field of study, future plans and current activities. I feel that as this is your investment, as a proper business professional I should at least let you know about whom you are investing in (it is called "show business" after all).

Family soon to have no electricity, no home, and no future.

Sunday at church I was overwhelmed with emotions and couldn’t control my tears as I heard the choir and sang along with them. I was hoping God would hear me because my husband, family, and I are in such a hopeless financial situation that there is nowhere to turn and we can’t live normal lives due to our debt.

We struggle to buy grocer everyday and keep our children in school. We don’t even have enough for the fees for them to start on august 1st. All fees must be paid by July 27th or they won’t be able to attend. This is a public school. My husband has always had a full time job and many times he’s had two jobs. I work part time when I can and home school my smaller children.

We only have one old van so I take everyone to school, work, etc. We have nine children. Two are on their own with families. Seven still live at home. Two of them have families. One son was laid off of his job last month and had to move back in with us. He has been desperately trying to find a job but nothing has come in yet. One our sons got into some trouble and we tried to help him but it’s escalated and he’s ended up in trouble with the law. My husband and I tried financially to help keep him afloat, including getting a car for him in our name. Our son lost his job because of all of the trouble and we were left paying his car until it was repossessed. Now we are paying for a car we don’t have. Paying lawyers, court fees, bonds, and so much more has drained us.

We started getting loans on our wedding rings and many items in our home. We couldn’t keep up with the interest due every month and normal bills. We took out payday loans. What a mistake! Our banks became horribly overdrawn. We filed a Chapter 13 in hope of saving ourselves. We had filed before when we were younger and first married. We didn’t know any better and made huge mistakes. Our 13 now has us paying such a huge amount of $1,200 a month that we fell behind immediately because of the other debt.

Our son’s troubles have kept us from paying our debt and just being able to live. Our son is innocent. That’s why we continue to stand by him, it breaks our heart to think of him going to jail for something he didn’t do. Our Chapter 13 is going to dismiss us if we can’s pay what we’re behind. It’s almost $5,000. Our Xcel bill is going to be turned off. We owe Xcel $4,000, and our water bill is $400 and ready to be turned off also. We will be behind $1,500 on our rent by this Friday. We’re being sued for almost a thousand dollars for a pizza check that was returned by our bank. We can’t buy groceries and gas for us to get to work. We’ve been getting small loans on our children’s items to help get small amounts of food.

We’re so embarrassed. We don’t have any family who can help and we haven’t kept in touch with friends. We’re always busy with our family so we don’t have time to socialize. We feel so sorry for our children. They had to be embarrasses all of last year at school because we stilled owed fees and they couldn’t participate in school activities. They are trying to work jobs while attending school but we are so far behind that we just can’t catch up.

People who know us think we have no problems, especially financially, but we are so depressed and sad. We can’t sleep or function in our everyday lives. It has affected our whole family and it is tearing us apart. We have lost the respect of our older children because we couldn’t keep our selves together financially. Please, if you’re reading my letter, if you can help in any way, or know someone who can help, please help us. We’re good people who work hard but are guilty of having big hearts. We’ve been married for 32 years. We don’t drink, smoke, do drugs, go out, or party in any way. We believe in God and hope our prayers and faith will get us through this.

My family and I need help. We don’t know where to turn and the depression making us sick. Especially my husband. We’re going through the motions of living but were not. Please help us and our children so we can get our lives on track and start living and enjoying life. We will find a way to repay as much as possible as soon as we can.

Sincerely,
A person who is in need for her family.

Very Sad Single Mom

Posted by ScaredMom on 2011-07-10 20:58:50

I am a single mom, and lost my job almost 2 years ago. I spoke to my lender about getting a HAMP loan modification last year. My lender just got back to me and said they don't participate in the HAMP program. My daughter and I have lived in our home for 15 years, and it is the only home she has ever known. My daughter's father paid for her to go to catholic school, and I put her in high school last year, and promised to pay her tuition before school starts this year. I know this probably sounds like a luxury problem to a lot of people, but having to tell your child that she will lose her home, her school, and I have no idea where we are going to live. She can live with her father, but I know she will be terrified as to where I will live. I have no family, and I know of no one that has any extra money that can help. I've been doing odd jobs just to keep the utilities on, and to buy food. Any pride I may have had left, is now gone. I'm asking for help from anyone, I know that the worst that can happen, is nothing. I'm just hoping there is someone out there that can help.

Tuition Assistance - $7000 Needed to Graduate!!!!

Posted by sparky on 2011-04-28 09:58:49

I am a 40+ year old lady who lost my job like so many others during this economic crises. I have not been able to obtain employment and have been trying for 3 years to do so. Almost very contact after my submission of a resume, I know was due to a lack of a college degree. I decided to try to finish my last few classes, even by studying and taking tests where no attendance to school is required, you do all self teaching, by studying the text books they recommend...I needed 2 classes for graduation and had to attend the school in order to participate. After some time, I applied for the Stimulus grant in order to take the courses, applied for financial aid, and even supplied more forms in order to get th full amount in order to cover the tuition in order to graduate. During the semester, it was determined thart the amount allowed was based on the number of credits. I experienced an accident where I broke my ribs, clavicle, lacerated my spleen, bruised my lung, had 10 stitches on my forehead and had a concussion. I was still able to finish the last assignments from the hospital and home in order to complete the requirements and I now cannot graduate next month due to the outstanding balance. I have been trying to speak with the school, have offered to work off the balance and have had no success. I would appreciate any help in my attempt to raise the money in order to graduate.

I appreicate you taking the time to read my request!

Please Help With My Dream, I Promise to Give Back

I am a 19-year-old student of sociocultural anthropology who also has a strong interest in ecology and the environment. My life's dream is to one day start my own ecotourism company that employs local people in developing nations, encourages responsible and environmental-oriented travel, increases cultural awareness, and gives back to the community. In the past I've been lucky enough to participate in several overseas tours with such companies; I financed my most recent trip by working the night shift in the dairy and frozen foods department of a local supermarket for several months. However, the one nation that I have always dreamed of working in is Zambia: a landlocked nation in southern Africa brimming with diverse landscapes, breathtaking natural beauty, and friendly people. Unfortunately, poverty remains an ongoing problem in some rural parts of this nation. My ultimate goal when visiting Zambia is to communicate with some of the local people in their own languages (I've been studying Bemba and Nyanja) in an attempt to better understand the social, political and economic climate of Zambia, support local lodges, hostels and safari guides, and learn more firsthand about environmental issues in this beautiful and fascinating land. Of course I always prefer to work hard for such travel and research opportunities, and will be perfectly honest when I say that there are many people on this website who need cash donations for reasons far more vital than mine. For a student who is currently unable to find work, I am unsure of how I'd pay for a trip to Zambia at some point next winter. I will continue to search for work and strive towards once again earning the money myself, but if anyone wishes to supplement the costs of my travel with a very small donation, I will certainly be thankful! If I can find 2,000 people who can each give just 50 cents, I will be well on my way towards realizing this dream. Thank you for your time and support!

So close but yet so far.........

Posted by sholman on 2011-03-31 11:58:21

I am a junior psychology major, human development minor attending Howard University. Thus far, school has had its ups and downs. However I have been able to maintain an acceptable grade point average of 3.46 and a position on the Deans Honor Roll. I have been honored to be a part of Howard University Swahili Language Flagship program, which allowed me the opportunity to participate in a study abroad trip to Kenya and Tanzania, East Africa. I have also been a committed volunteer to the Capital Area Food Bank, and a encouraging Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts of the Nations Capital.
For as long as I can remember, I have been dedicating myself to giving back to my community. I am writing this letter in hopes that this one time the community will help me. I am a 20 year old African American woman from the inner city of Brooklyn, NY. My mother is a struggling single parent of two, living on Unemployment benefits. With the cost of living and rise in the economy, paying my tuition is impossible for her to manage now. I have tried reaching out to my father; however, instead of committing himself to my life, he preferred the street life.
This financial burden is hampering my abilities to achieve. The thought of having such an outstanding balance in all of my living expenses worries me. With no way of paying these expenses, I think about the possibility that I might have to withdraw from Howard University and go back home. It angers me to know that I am so close to accomplishing my goals and the only thing holding me back is money.
I have been applying for many scholarships, some have been beneficial others not so much. The scholarships that I have received have barely paid for my tuition each semester. Unfortunately I cannot take out a loan because I need a cosigner and my mother is the only one willing to cosign a loan for me. Unfortunately, my mother is not eligible to be a cosigner. I have exhausted all possibilities to help assist with my expenses. I have contacted many different public offices in hopes that they would be able to help with my past due rent and living expenses. However, most of the programs that are offered require the applicants to either have a child or a person over 65 years old. I have tried contacting the provost of my university to see if there is anything that I can do to get extra funding.
With that said, I am seeking sponsorship or any contributions towards my endeavors. If you are unable to contribute, but are aware of other resources that would be of interest, please contact me. I assure you that these contributions are for a good cause. It will allow me to my tenure at Howard University and further my career as a neuropsychologist. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanking You In Advance

Helping a community be a community

We are attempting to start a gym/community center for the small town we live in. It use to be a great place to raise a family, but has begun to fall into despair. Children are getting into trouble because parents work two to three jobs to make ends meet. Even when their parents are home, there's no where left to go as a family. I have two sons. I coach all the sports they participate in. When their season ends, I watch helplessly as my team and my kids get into trouble.
We are looking for donations in the form of money or equipment needed to put this plan in motion.
Once the center is up and running we will pay forward any kindness given to us.
I thank you, as does the future of our town.
