I am trying to raise money for a small vacation for my kids who really need some time away and so i am selling some things. I have (2) identical black stools that came from JC Penny's Makeup Dept. Very large and in great shape. They are 26" and have wide seats. Seats are upholstered in black and the backrest is grey vynil with the logo "Lancome Paris" on the back. Has a small tear on the back of one chair but can be easily fixed. Very unique stools. I am selling both for $60 or $35 each. My mom has always given up everything for herself in order to make others happy, but it's time to change that. I want to do something for her because she deserves to live a dream and see Ireland, like she has always talked about.

Whenever I've traveled to places around world, including Ireland, my mom has shrugged it off and decided that making me happy is more important than her own happiness. Even though I appreciate it, it's hard to see her put away her own dreams in order to make mine a reality. She says that she'll go in the fall when my cousin is studying abroad there, but I know that she will decide that the money should be used for when I study in Paris in the spring.

Since I'm a broke college student who has no way of coming up with such a large amount of money, I'm asking for small donations of just $5-$10. Hopefully I'll be able to raise around $3,000 to buy two plane tickets and to plan a trip around Ireland for both my mom and dad. The best part is that I'm going to give it to her as a gift on Mother's Day, so she'll have no idea that it's even coming!

I am a 52 year old male with a permanent shoulder disability. I take Vicodin 750ES for pain management as well as paroxetine for stress and depression on a daily basis. I have been fighting disability for 4-1/2 years now and will finally get in front of an administrative law judge very soon. I have been searching for employment during this time as well but with no luck. Walmart would not even hire me as a greeter due to my medication history. Before the injury I was one of this areas leading computer technicians. I still have the knowledge but not the physical ability to do this work. All of this may be too little too late. The bank wants to repossess my vehicle and the landlord wants to evict me. I have sold most all of my personal belongings and furniture to maintain an existence. Due to my ongoing struggle with Social Security the only public assistance I qualify for is food stamps. I need to raise $1000.00 as soon as possible to keep a roof over my head and transportation for medical reasons as well as preserve what little dignity I have left. 6 months ago I had what I thought was a very happy family with my partner and baby girl, Ella May who is 3 years old.
