My partner has recently left me, several weeks after being made redundant from my work.

I am now responsible for paying the bills for this month, and with the cost of trying to sort things out with my partner I am short of money to cover utility bills etc.

Any donation will help me to get back on my feet and cover my outstanding bills

thank you so much

Please help with some outstanding medical bills, thank you.

Posted by RERKSE on 2012-05-08 20:58:32

I have several outstanding medical bills which have not only seriously affected my credit but just make me feel badly, nervous & ashamed they aren't paid yet. One of the biggest is for $200 for a replacement motorized scooter I needed in 2009. My Medicare paid all except this amount & I have been unable to pay it at all. Shortly after this replacement scooter was ordered I was in a head-on collision that set me back medically so severely I am still recovering. My medical needs tripled as did my monthly costs. I have been physically disabled since early childhood & I am in my early 50s now. Because I am on disability, thus a limited income, I am always struggling to meet my bills & have exhausted all my former resources. I am trusting God daily for my needs, but I don't know at this point how to pay many unpaid, overdue bills with nothing in the bank.

Thank you for taking time to read my post. I never knew about this site & came across it by chance & I am taking the chance the lucky penny I found today is a sign help is on the way.

A full-time student seeking a sponsor/any help at all

Posted by Raqib on 2012-05-08 17:58:52

My name is Rocky, I'm a 20 year old full-time college student living alone with a kitten, enrolled at North Lake College in Irving, Texas.

I'm relying solely on Financial Aid to survive right now, as I cannot find a job anywhere that is willing to hire a full-time student.

Out of the four classes I took this semester, I failed one. I spent a lot of time just looking for a job, as a result, that cut heavily into my study time.

I have an outstanding medical bill, and I unfortunately received my first-ever speeding ticket today- both I most likely will not be able to pay off anytime soon.

I'm seeking help from anyone I can possibly receive it from. Anything from donations, to even any jobs you may have for me in my local area will benefit me. If there are any positions you can hire me for, please do tell me.

Thanks in advance. - Rocky

Veteran needs help paying school loans

Posted by johntlee1983 on 2012-03-13 11:58:35

I am a veteran who has $10,000 in outstanding school loans. I have used all of my MSGI money up on schooling. The little I owe is just sitting there as of now. I am unable to pay on this due to a recent divorce and my ex-wife leaving. I kept all of the bills, and I have full custody of the kids. She does not pay any money in child support. I have to put my kids in childcare so I can attend work and this has consumed all of my extra money that I was using to pay on my school loans. I would normally never ask for money. But over the past 2 yrs things have changed for me drastically and I am at a lost. Backed into a corner and don't have any idea how to get out. I will take any help I can get at this point.

Family of three desperate for financial help

Posted by tiffeny on 2012-03-03 04:58:15

We are a family of three and currently our take home pay is $1760.00 which is not enough money to cover our daily/monthly expenses. I am no longer employed full time and went from a $65,000 a year job to zero. My husbands company was forced to file bankruptcy and his pay was cut from $2400.00 per month to $1760.00 per month.

Our daughter is a senior in high school and is currently not employed. We have one car paid off but are still paying $615.00 per month on the other vehicle. Most of our credit cards are paid off but the ones that are not have been sent to collections. We have a couple old personal loans that we are still paying on. We have several past due Payday loans outstanding and the fees continue to accrue until they are paid off. We have already borrowed from family members so that is no longer an option.

The money will be used to help pay our utilities, rent and food for the three of us and food for our dog and cat. The utilities consist of lights, heat, water, sewer, phone and mandatory city garbage pick-up.

Also, we currently do not have medical insurance so have not been able to have exams or see a doctor for unexpected injuries. Anything would be appreciated to help us get our lives back on track again. Thank you for reading this. Have a good day.
I'll try to keep this short and sweet.
I'm 20 years old, working as an operator at a machine shop just a few miles from my current apartment.
About a month ago, the president of our company announced that they were going to be moving the shop in a few months. He did not, however, mention that this would cause a lot of us to lose hours due to a lack of received work orders for our CURRENT location.
I already had a couple of outstanding loans from before things went south at work. Just a couple of hundred dollars for electricity or rent that I figured I could pay back quickly taking the shops pay rate into account. However, now that I've been going without more than 10 hours of work a week for almost three weeks paying my loans back is becoming more of a game of trying to scrape together my minimum payment amount while also somehow managing rent, bills, and food money. I've gotten to the point where I'm eating about a meal a day and spending as little time in my apartment as possible to cut back on water and electricity expenses.
The real kicker of this whole situation is that my lease will be expiring 3/19/2012, and I need to manage to get a new apartment before then. With the two outstanding loans, moving expenses, leasing deposits and application fees...well, it's starting to look like I might be living under a bridge next month...
Most people my age would turn to there parents for help, but I don't really have any such luck. Both of my parents just kind of jumped ship as soon as I graduated High School. Last I heard from mom she was using meth, and Dad isn't faring much better...
Please, help me avoid homelessness and give what you can so I can manage a standard, stable adult life.

I was raised by a single mother and I live in a 4room house with my mom, sister and brother. I enrolled at a university in 2009 but my brother lost his job and i was excluded the following year cause i couldnt pay the fees and my mom didnt qualify for a loan. My mom cant afford to put food on the table and the university I was attending is taking me to court for outstanding fees. I am pleading with anyone who can help me pay off my fees to do so because I might go to jail on the 20th of march( my court date) since I cant pay their fees let alone a lawyer. Help me move forward with my life I dont wanna be another sad black story of a child who died helpless in the hood. Please assist me in raising money for ny fees./

We need help with taxes

Posted by nt1962 on 2012-02-17 15:58:59

We desperately need your help! We are a small church located in an economically disadvantaged community. We own a house that was deeded over to us by a former pastor and are at risk of losing that property because of our inability to pay some past due taxes on the property.

The house was deeded to the church over 30 years ago by a former pastor of the church who had become ill and subsequently passed away. The house is not located in the same community as the church. (In fact, it is some distance away from the church, and therefore could not be utilized for church-related purposes which would have taken it off of the tax roll). As a result of gentrification in that community, the property values have increased tremendously. The property tax assessment for the property owned by the church escalated to staggering heights during the housing bubble.

Because of this the church has had much difficulty keeping up with all of the taxes on the property (a general tax, a school tax, and a village tax). The rental income from the property is used to assist the church with operating expenses, maintenance of all of the church properties, as well as paying the taxes. Finally, reassessment in the last couple of years has brought down the amount of taxes to be paid and we are better able to handle some of the current taxes due, but some of the older taxes were sold and consolidated in tax lien sales. The consolidation of the prior taxes due has hurt us tremendously. Numerous times the unpaid taxes were consolidated prior to our completion of raising enough funds to pay off some of them in their unconsolidated state. Individually some were $1,000 to $3,000 respectively. They have been consolidated totaling almost $19,000. We are not permitted to pay the liens individually which was viable, we have to pay them in total.

There is a holding company based in the community where the house is located which purchased those liens. That company is now a few months away from being able to begin foreclosure proceedings and take a valuable piece of real estate out from under the church. This would be devastating to the church.

The church has been in the process of trying to sell the house and use the proceeds from the sale to build a much needed new church building in the community it is located as well as to pay off those outstanding liens at closing, and to unload a property that was once a blessing to the church, but has long since become a burden. We don’t want to lose the property. We want to be able to sell it. We had some offers on the house, but at the last minute a promising deal fell through. Previously interested buyers, for some reason now, are less interested. We feel it is possible that there may some collusion within the community where the house is located to wait for the lien process to move forward and that potential purchasers connected with the holding company will be able to take the property and flip it to tremendous financial advantage, while leaving the church with nothing for thirty years of struggling to take care of the property.

It is important that we are allowed to sell the house and build our new church. We are in the final stages of making the new building a reality. All we have to do is secure the construction financing. Receipt of a commitment letter for the sale of the house is all that stands in the way of a 40+ year dream for the congregation. It would give us the down-payment that we need to move forward.

With the construction of a new church, we would be able to operate before and after school programs, have handicap accessible restrooms, and provide better services to the community. We have a senior citizens housing complex across the street from our church, and many of the residents would attend our church but they are unable to climb up and down the stairs to the single-person restrooms in the basement. We also operate a summer day camp which would benefit greatly from having more space in which to operate. We would be able to accommodate many more youngsters, many of whose families are unable to afford the other summer camps operating in the area. We have had to turn down prospective campers because of space constraints.

Our congregational makeup has changed over the years. The financial impact of that changed has been coupled with the severe impact of the economic downturn on our community. We have more retirees now on fixed income, youth, and small children, many of whom have young mothers, and some people who are working age, mostly with working class wages. We need to build a church to better meet the needs of our congregation and community. We operate a food pantry and soup kitchen which would be able to open more days a week with bigger pantry space and a modern commercial kitchen.

As I stated, we are in the final stages of the building project. We have our permits, plans, and contractor selected. We are ready to obtain financing. The congregation, which has always striven to do much with little, has invested much in this projected over the years and the sale of this property owned by the church is the one thing that stands in the way of it happening. Please do not let us lose this property just so a few people can make a quick buck. Help us to pay off these tax liens so that our church will be able to help transform an entire community!

unemployed musician would appreciate some help

Posted by musicman83 on 2012-02-07 17:58:53

I guess to begin I should say I'm not in a life or death situation but I really could use some help.

Since I graduated from university, studying music I have worked in customer service as there were not a lot of jobs available where I live, but I was laid off from my job 12 months ago and got behind with my rent by a couple of months, which landed me in £600 worth of debt on top of the debts I had accumulated as a student.

However I found a new job after a couple of months and everything seemed to be looking like it would work out but after a month of working there I had to take 2 days off sick and my new employer decided to terminate my employment. I went back to applying for jobs and selling my stuff to pawn shops to try and make ends meet, receiving benefits but although I could eat and keep a roof over my head I couldn't pay off my outstanding rent.

Then after a few months of looking for work I was helping my mum's friend out with some heavy lifting and helping with her garden work as she lives alone and ended up with a really bad inguinal hernia which left me incapacitated until I could get surgery, I had the surgery which fixed the problem but the surgeon advised me the hernia was a very large one and they had to make a 7 inch incision in order to be able to remove it which left me bedridden for a couple of weeks after.

Then the worst thing happened, I was offered an interview for my dream job a few days after my surgery, I explained my situation and told the employer how much I wanted this job but they said they were really sorry but they needed someone immediately and could not wait.

One of my friends told me about these websites where people help out people in bad money situations. So I guess I'm hoping someone can see fit to help me because I'm not doing too well resolving my problems alone.

My plan is to try and get as much of the £600 rent I owe so I can pay my rent off and re-locate as jobs are so scarce where I live.
I spoke to my landlord and asked if I could move out to re-locate and pay them back when I get a job but they said they're sorry but I need to pay up to date before I move out, so I'm stuck here with no job prospects, I can't just leave owing them this money and run away from the debt because I feel I am a moral and generally decent person and after the understanding and patience they have shown me in putting up with this situation for a year, running out on them would be a disgraceful thing to do to them.

Thank you for reading this and if you can help me sort myself out I will be eternally grateful to you

debilitating mood disorders

Posted by rockmama on 2012-02-05 14:58:38

I am a single mother of a 3 yr old girl. One who just can't seem to get ahead. Or even even. Bills that are due, some being paid with what little I have are limited to the necessities. I am getting help from my state with food and healthcare and that is wonderful. But here is where my downside comes into play. On 1/28/12, due to (see subject title) I had to quit my job. A job in which I love, in a field that i love, that i still have (outstanding) school loans required for me to be licensed in the field. Hold on now, this does tie together...I quit drinking 3 years ago,(I am past my 20's if that means anything.) I found though, once I quit drinking, that I had been self- medicating for partially debilitating mental illnesses. Though I have been doing my part since quitting the drink (therapy, psychiatry, and just holding on for dear life), I cannot seem to get to where I need/want to be, to be able to continue to provide for my kiddo. My credit is shot, I wasn't approved for a car loan of ANY sort (CARHOP DENIED ME!)and my car is dying. The anxiety I feel every day when I wake up and find that I have to take 10 or so pills to make it through the day, and then still figure out how to pay for my car insurance. And rent and phone bills and electricity blah blah blah, you get the picture. My credit cards (in which I have to use to purchase clothing for myself and my daughter) are maxed. My little one bedroom apartment just doesn't accommodate for myself and my 3 year old. She has no place to play outside, except for a pavement parking lot, all the while trying to shield her from the illegal activities which take place around here. I am in the process of starting to apply for disability, because that is all i know to do for the time being. I will be applying for housing assistance, I gotta get out of this place.
I don't know whom may be out there, and whom may be reading this, I hope at least someone does. What I really hope, is that there may be some helpful, generous, kind and empathetic soul who might be able to help me with this huge anxiety ridden request for help. I have never done anything like this before, for the worst quality I possess is asking for help. Or lack of being able to do so. But, here goes nothin!

Overwhelmed with flood damages and the repair expenses

Posted by ravensrun65 on 2012-01-25 18:58:00

After being away since 1997, I've come back to care for my disabled mother. I myself have degenerative bone and disc disease of the spine. Making it impossible for me to do any of the labor. The building use to be a bar with an apartment upstairs. Due to her disabilities, she lives on the bar level. Years ago they had a porch added, which is partially cantilevered improperly. Someone installed a shower on the bar level, in the process, they cut a main beam rather than get a longer piece of pipe. I'm not able to find out when the unit was installed, but it was long enough ago that now the bar level bathrooms(yes, both mens and ladies rooms are still in there), and the apartment floors are all sloped. If memory serves me, lolly columns should stop/possibly reverse this.
The well is working when it wants to, the water runs, then shuts itself off, anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes later, it comes back on. The furnace had a burned out blower part which I'm paying the bill off, leaving less than $75 cash after covering the expenses of this building each month. And the plumber said it would be close to $200 just to start fixing the well issue. Not even knowing if it is the pump or not.
The weather here is too much for my body without access to hot water therapy. I don't know how long it will be before I can no longer handle the pain in these temps. I am rather desperate for any help at all. I'm 46, single, and have no one to help me without paying hefty fee's. This building is in dire need of repairs. If anyone could please find it in their heart to help two women that have no one to lend a hand...PLEASE HELP?

Posted by ravensrun65 on 2012-01-25 17:58:59

College student desperate for a miracle!

Posted by poohnerd07 on 2012-01-03 23:58:22

I am a Senior in College and I am only one year away from graduating. But, I can't graduate because my transcript is on hold due to an outstanding balance of $20,000. My dad had to have emergency surgery so I couldn't pay for college. I have been working but I am no where near completing my goal. I have been making excellent grades and working so hard. Its hard for me to think that it will all go to waste if nothing can be done to pay this off. I would greatly appreciate any donation you could give me.
