Help Me Please!!
Posted by HelpNow27 on 2012-05-23 15:58:23
I have graduated in April 2008 with a Bachelor Degree in Human Biology. I worked in the Healthcare Industry for several years. I am currently unemployed sine my company went bankrupt and can not find a job that pays decent so I can make my student loan payments that are $670 per month and support my family. I have $58,000 in student loan debt the original balance was around 40,000 but I had to stop making payments until last year because I could not make a living at all with a $12/hr job to pay for mortgage and other living expenses. Sallie Mae is just saying that they can not do anything about it the only thing I can do is pay interest only and reduce my payment by like $200 and that is for 30 years. Please help me get out of this burden sometimes I ask myself why I ever went to school and if it was really worth it all because some of my friends that have no school are doing better than I am. I guess that is they way you live the American Dream!! This is just crazy that there is no law that protects students when they are in situations like this especially in a economic crisis. Please, I really want to be able to save my marriage, house and be able to provide for my daugther. If anyone is reading this and is willing to donate I would really appreciate anything you give. Also I understand that there are much worse situations out there and people in a greater need of help that is also understandable however I will end up on the street and my loan will go int default if I can not make the payment and I dont think it can get worse than that as far as student loans are concerned and Financial problems. I wish I could someday help someone myself or in any other way. Please people every little helps. God Bless! AJ

Help me get married!
Posted by kendrashue on 2012-03-29 09:58:40
I have $10,043 in medical bill debt from an accident in January 2010 where someone hit me with a 4-wheeler, putting me in a coma for 2 months and then physical therapy and rehab after that. The original bill was $200,000 for the medical costs, but I received a scholarship to cover 95% of the cost because I didn't have health insurance at the time. While I was in a coma, I lost my apartment, fell behind on payments on my school loans, and my bills were sent to collections. Ashland Kentucky is a small town, and we're kind of a small family so I didn't want to press charges on the person who hit me. But when I met my fiancé and we started talking about marriage, I discussed my situation with a lawyer to determine what I should do.
We want to be able to buy a house in the future, but with this debt the lawyer was afraid that my credit will hinder that. The lawyer was also afraid that since my bills are in collections that if I get married that the creditors would seize my fiancéâs assets. My fiancé doesn't have much, but we are sharing his truck since I lost my car and if the creditors took his truck we'd be out the $10,000 remaining on the truck loan and without a vehicle. I decided I would try to press charges just for the cost of filing bankruptcy, but the person who hit me was the sheriffâs son. No police report was ever filed. Small town politics are good in most situations. This is not one of them.
The lawyer tried to do what he could, but Kentuckyâs statute of limitations for filing suit against someone is 1 year. By the time I decided I needed to sue, it was too late. So Iâm stuck with a bill I canât pay and itâs the only thing keeping me from marrying the man I love. My mother is a medical transcriptionist in West Virginia, and sheâs barely making enough to support herself and her boyfriend so I canât ask her for help. My father has been in prison my entire life so I donât really have anyone to turn to for assistance with this. My fiancéâs parents have been very helpful, but they only have so much to help with and they canât assist us with the bankruptcy.
Me and Trey (my fiancé) are paying for the wedding and the honeymoon entirely by ourselves, on top of keeping up with rent and truck payments and regular bills. Like I said, weâre happy and weâre doing okay living a humble lifestyle. Other people have it worse, I get that and Iâm grateful for the love Iâve found and the life I get to spend with him. We wanted to get married in June, but at the rate weâre able to save towards the cost of filing bankruptcy, it could be next year before we could get married, and neither of us want to wait that long.
I already spoke to 1 lawyer and was quoted $1500, two payments of $750. Our finances are so carefully budgeted that and stretched so thin that we just can't do that. My fiancé has stopped eating breakfast and lunch to save money, started riding his bike to work and is doing everything he can to save money. Weâve set aside $300 towards the filing cost. Itâs taken us 4 months to do that. We intended on using our tax returns to file, but mine was taken by the creditors and we used his to try to get ahead on our bills. So hereâs what Iâm asking: any donation towards the cost of filing my bankruptcy would be a huge blessing right now. Some members of our church have offered to assist us, and someone referred us to this site. I
think itâs a great thing that people are willing to help complete strangers out and I wish that I had the resources to help others at this time. Weâve already agreed that we will do whatever we can to help others in need on this site once we can start setting more money aside once weâre married. But right now, I need $1200 total to cover the cost of my bankruptcy, so any donation towards that would be a blessing. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, God Bless!

Unfortunately, myself and my partner in have found ourselves a little short on paying the project expenses, which has halted production, temporarily.. I'm not asking for much. If you can spare $10, $15 or $20 that would be fantastic. Honestly, I'd rather have five people spare $20 than one person send us $100, so smaller numbers are better.
Every little bit brings us much closer to our goal and help us meet our self-imposed deadlines without upsetting the contributors who have already volunteered their original work.
I have been writing most of my life and anyone who has ever written fiction will tell you, there are more writers than markets. Adding a new market to the world would be doing a service to both aspiring authors and to people who enjoy short fictions. Also, We never plan to charge subscription fees (most online publications of this sort don't).
If you do choose to help us out, please send an email to hipsterfight@gmail.com, so we can keep you updated on the project if you wish. Also, if you give us permission, we'll include your name in a list of special thanks.
And finally, thank you. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read this, even if you choose not to send any assistance our way.
Wolves at the door

Well, this is embarrassing, but for the sake of my children I am doing it anyway.
I have a problem with bailiffs. My husband left me and also left me with all his unpaid debts as well as three children to support. I lost my job a year ago and have not been able to find another yet, although I have been trying. I am on benefits, but they do not cover the debts or the mortgage payments I need to make. I am trying to sell the house, and the mortgage company are being fairly reasonable, but even so, if I do not sell in time, I will also lose my house. If I can sell, I can pay my debts and move into rented with some money left over. But that's a long shot in the current market.
However, the most urgent problem is the bailiffs. They are demanding immediate payment of £2,020 (approx $3,300 USD) or they will take my possessions to auction to cover the debt. It's a joke, my paltry possessions will not cover the debt, but they will take them anyway. The longer the debt goes unpaid, the more "interest" they are adding to the bill and they refuse to take instalments, saying my husband broke the original agreement with them and now it's too late for that. Unfortunately, they are legally allowed to do this, (since we had an earlier agreement with them and they have what is called a levy on the house contents) as well as intimidate, threaten and even break into my house to collect my stuff. It's a frightening situation. I am afraid to answer the door in my own home and I have had to tell the kids not to either, because they are not above forcing their way in past them. I have tried the police, but they say it's all legal and they cannot help me, even if these men break in (in fact, they will help THEM to do so, because I owe the money) Itâs unbelievable, but it's true. I have even asked the help of a solicitor, but he says the same thing, unless the law is changed, there is nothing he can do. No one appears to be trying to find my husband, and I do not have the resources to look.
I hate having to ask, but I am terrified of these men. I can't eat or sleep and I am worried about the effect this is having on the kids.
I hope there is someone (or several people maybe) who can help me out of this mess I have been left with.
Thank you for your time.
Hope.
unbreak my heart....

I'm raising funds for ICD replacement surgery, to go see a HOCM specialist (Dr. Craig Asher) at Cleveland Clinic in S. Florida and to have advanced testing through Vanderbilt Autonomic Center in Tennessee.
I don't want to admit I need help; I've always been a strong, independent person who took care of everything and everyone. In August 2009, my whole world changed. After my procedure, I applied for disability and was turned down twice and had to hire an attorney. I went from being "super" mom, wife & friend and care taker of an Autistic son to being the one who had to be taken care of.
So how did I get to the point I have to ask others for help? Shortly before Father's Day 2009, I fell and broke my foot. When it didn't heal, I went to my primary with a broken foot and came out with a broken heart. After the shock wore off from the doctor telling me that I was going to die if I didn't have valve surgery; I started asking questions.
I didn't quite believe him and thought he was over reacting when he told me I was going to die because I walked and ran 3-5 times weekly and even did strenuous yard work. I felt fine and have 4 children aged 9-26 and kept up with them and stayed very active in things they did; but I was a ticking time bomb just waiting for the right time for my heart to stop.
He sent me to several specialists who said I had nothing really wrong, just some mild valve problems associated with aging; which was a huge relief. Everything seemed normal except my EKG's; they showed I had a huge amount of PVC's (premature ventricular contractions) roughly 50,000 âextraâ heartbeats daily.
My heart didn't really beat fully; it only quivered like a bowl of jello day in day out. The problem with it beating like this is, the heart becomes very ineffective at pumping and your cardiac output drops and heart muscle damage can occur.
The cardiologist and electrophysiologist I saw did extensive testing and recommended more testing in the hospital. I went in for a sleep study, Tilt table test and EP Study with Ablation. The sleep study revealed I had moderately severe sleep apnea and my oxygen goes from 99% down to 73% at night making it very dangerous for me when I sleep.
The tilt table test was the first inkling that something dangerous was going on inside. I fainted and had no palpable pulse; which is a very rare thing to happen. I was diagnosed with Dysautonomia - Neurocardiogenic Syncope and Orthostatic Intolerance.
I then had an ablation to burn the extra pathways in my heart and get rid of the pvc's I was living with daily. I was told this would be a relatively easy process and given a 95% success rate to get rid of the extra beats completely but it never crossed my mind that anything would happen.
What preliminary tests failed to show, is the pattern and origin of my arrhythmias were in a very dangerous spot to ablate - the RV Apex â in the bottom thin underside of the heart.
During the EP Study, I went into cardiac arrest and my heart stopped completely with no rhythm they could shock (Asystole), some how it started again for a few minutes but then stopped again. They were able to shock me back to normal sinus rhythm and luckily, the third time it stopped; it restarted on it's own so I didn't have to be shocked again.
I was diagnosed with Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia; a very dangerous, life threatening arrhythmia. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days trying to find a cause and to be prepped for an ICD (implantable cardiac defibrillator).
It took a cardiac catherization to finally find the problem and to show I had HOCM (obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) and internal high pressures in my valves.
My regular EP had to go out of town after the first procedure, so his partner had to do the implant; he wasn't as skilled as my regular dr and botched the lead implants.
When they checked the leads the next day before releasing me, they found a problem with the lead placement but the dr said it was "ok" and sent me home. Since then, I've had nothing but problems with the unit and been told by several other EP's I need to have the leads replaced and the ICD could be causing part of my problems.
Doctors think my other problems are related to HOCM (obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) and Autonomic nervous system failure and when I faint, my heart stops briefly causing damage each time this happens.
After the procedure, my body started failing from the damage it sustained the 4 times my heart stopped. My original cardiologist told me I would be in a wheel chair and totally dependent on others for everything by the time I'm 50; which is daunting because in March I'll be 45 and I can't deny the facts - my body is failing.
I was put on 10,000g sodium daily, water/fluid loading, Midodrine (insurance won't cover it $312 - 30 day supply), Propanolol, Pantoprazole, pain meds, suppression hose and binders as well as having to stay supine the majority of the day - which caused my heart failure to worsen and my EF (ejection fraction) to go down.
Nothing the doctor's have tried has helped, I still faint and my heart stops on a daily basis and I never know from one day to the next if something is going to trigger fluid build up and I have an acute attack.
In June 2011 I fainted falling into the side of my tiled tub, lacerating the side of my head in the process, severely sprained my neck and suffered a concussion. After that episode, I became a bit more cautious with every move I make because the dr found declining neurological functioning and mild brain damage; he said any more falls could lead to permanent major brain damage.
With so many previous medical bills and co-pays, I can't afford the 20% co-insurance to have my ICD replaced and Mayo Clinic wants a $5,000 deposit up front even with insurance. My ICD alone is $125,000, leads another $30,000 and then there's the doctor and hospital fees; which I won't know the cost until the procedure is done.
Each heart rhythm specialist and cardiologist I see tell me there is nothing more they can do after going over my history and treatments; I have a long hard fight to go and I have to just be thankful each day I'm alive. Some days I'm really glad I made it through, other days when the problems and pain take over; I wish the dr's had let me die.
I developed PTSD after the procedure, panic disorder and extreme agoraphobia. I went into such a deep depression over my health issues, I was afraid I would never see the lighter side of things again. I finally went to see a psychologist who prescribed Lamictal and diagnosed me with Bi-Polar disorder which has helped greatly but I still struggle on a daily basis.
One day we were just the ânormalâ every day family and the toughest thing we had to deal with is a child with Autism. Then; our whole lives changed in an instant we were dealing with mounting medical bills, expensive prescriptions, tests, appointments, loss of income and dealing with the possibility of death on a daily basis.
You just never know what the day may bring, so keep those you love close to you and never take one second for granted.
From the bottom of my heart thank you - even if it's support to say hey; I'm here if you need to talk or I know how you're feeling.

HELP! Marooned in South Africa!
Posted by hairybuilder_33 on 2012-01-14 06:58:34
After we were married we looked round and decided to give âthe new South Africaâ a chance. What a mistake that has turned out to be! The work situation for white people only held out until 2009. I am a self employed builder and carpenter with some 12 years experience and many successful projects to my name. My wife Lee is hunting for a job at present, she was retrenched in December. Due to the fact that we have legislation here in SA that denotes which jobs can be given to whites and which have to be given to non-whites. Here I fall into problematic territory. There are practically no jobs that I can even apply for! We have been surviving on small jobs to keep money coming in, however the situation for whites here is getting worse. As a sole trader I am unable to apply for tenders, quotes etc. This makes finding profitable jobs almost impossible. The jobs that come in usually get me around 100 rand per day (equivalent to 20 US dollars per day). It is barely enough to feed the three of us. Food prices are rising rapidly here. We are getting nowhere! The downturn here made short work of what savings we had. The only saving grace has been that we have stayed out of debt. I honestly donât know how much longer we can stay that way.
You may be wondering where all of this is leading to, let me explain. We have applied for many jobs in the UK over the last 2 years. We have been accepted for several positions with included accomodation. As a UK citizen I can return with my family and work there. However, We cannot get enough money together to relocate the three of us back to the UK! Our target is 5000 US dollars. This will allow my family and I to get flights with some left over to see to emergencies. (with a five year old you never know!!!)
Any donation is most appreciated by the three of us.
hello, please, please, any help is greatly appreciated

Some background:
I am a mother of three wonderful children. I was married to their father for ten years, unfortunately. as with too many these days, it did not work out. I do not regret our marriage, for it gave me three wonderful children who are all almost grown now. 21, 19, 16. When we were married, we both decided it best for me to stay home with the children and raise them within our family, although this is pretty rare these days. Once we divoced though, I could only find manual type (cashier, inventory, stock, etc) work as I was married straight out of high school and did not try to go back to work until they were all in school. I did not mind working sometimes three different jobs in order to have full time hours yet work around the kids school schedule, son's physical therapy and the usual "Mom" stuff. People kept saying go back to school, but I could not figure out how to work three jobs, be the full time mom and dad and add school. Unfortunately five years ago I started feeling ill, like the flu that never went away. I kept working through it, with my kids being older as much as I knew I needed to be there, I knew I needed to pay the rent/bills too, so I started working split shifts at the grocery store. I'd go in at 6 am until 2pm, come home, be here for after school and dinner, then rush back at six and work until 11 pm. All the while I was getting sicker. I was hospitalized three times during this period. Unfortunately no one seems to want to agree with whats wrong with me, I have heard several diagnosis over the years, but RA is the one and only proven ailment, although they feel I have an overlapping autoimmune disease. I have no insurance right now, and hoping to get the state insurance soon, but I have a feeling treatment is a long ways away.
I did not want to go the ssdi route until I had no other choice. Too bad that's not how the system works. I, for the last three years have been dealing with such pain and illness, a "real job" became out of the question, so I'd work here and there, whenever I could get work and be able to do it, as some days are a little better than others. Believe me, nothing is below me, I'm happy to scrub toilets, clean dog poo, I will do anything legal to make it, most days now though I feel so bad I can't do much .Well, I have finally reached that "I can't do stage", just yesterday my daughter had to get me out of bed as I could not move. Problem is, SSDI takes up to two years to get, which I didn't realize, so now due to my inane pride, I am absolutely stuck. I just know if I can get on top of the important bills, I will be able to continue as I have (fingers crossed) until the SSDI is accepted, which I did finally file for.
More important than anything else, I need to get some food in the house for my son. I truly don't care if I eat, as long as its enough to survive, which believe it or not is very little. However, I want my growing son to be able to eat when he's hungry and have good healthy choices along with the occasional treat. My 19 year old is very self sufficient and has moved into her own apartment and after taking college courses all through high school is on the right track. My 21 year old moved out when she graduated high school and she too finished college and is self sufficient. (she has now moved back in with her daughter) That's why I only mentioned my son. I have plenty of clothes I can donate as he grew so fast, many very nice, and also more than willing to repay any amount, just can't promise when.
Please, any help at all, anything, is greatly appreciated. Food is first and there is a very cheap store nearby where I can grocery shop. Bills are secondary right now, so believe me, every bit helps. Thanks for reading my story and giving your time and any help you may be able to handle.
Military Family needs help
Posted by Militaryfamily on 2012-01-10 22:58:06
3 years pass and I was remarried. Due to the unfortunate loss of my father we came into an inheritance, we were able to balance out our debt and for once we felt some relief. Still with only 8 days a month we yet again went back to court to try and obtain more access in the summer. As with all messy divorces my ex was unwilling to budge and wanted no more than 2 non-consecutive weeks in the summer for access. Luckily for us we were granted a full month each year.
With that good news came notice to us that we were to be posted to the same city my children lived. Once we were posted to the same city the military deemed that I was to deploy to Afghanistan, with this came a lot of training and travel to complete this all while my wife was pregnant with our son. As I know being in the military not everything will go as planed, I missed the birth of my son. Once my rotation was complete we were able to make new attempts to have more access to my children (in the original agreement between my ex-wife and myself we agreed to a set amount for child support).
Once my ex-wife found out about us wanting to have the children 50/50 she asked for an increase in child support and put my two boys into hockey to try and burden us financially. Needless to say hockey is very expensive and with the increase in child support (equivalent to another mortgage) we started to sink into debt again. My wife was unable to work due to child care costs of over $780/month, legal bills thru the roof and a vindictive ex-wife making all attempts to keep me from my children.
As if that wasnât enough, my lawyer was suspended from practice, my wifeâs and my 19 month old has now been diagnosed as possibly having celiac disease.
To sum it up, we are left with $200 per paycheque to buy groceries, gas for the car and anything else that may come up which in turn we needed to rely on our credit cards. Trying to get my children 50/50 is at a stand still now because no lawyer will take us on unless we have $2000 as a retainer, we donât qualify for legal aid due to the fact that on paper I make too much.
So this is why I have turned to asking for help, to regain financial stability, gain access to my children and try and provide for my 3 boys and remove the stress from my wife. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We thank you for taking the time to read this.

Unfortunately, graduation did not come with the tools to start out. I need professional versions of these products so that I have no trouble with marketing and selling my work:
Adobe Creative suite design premium or master collection
Autodesk 3ds max/maya
Finale music notation
I also need a desktop computer capable of running the full versions of these programs. A Macintosh would be ideal, with a touch screen monitor so that I can use my monitor like a drawing board, and a MIDI capable keyboard so that I can do composition.
I need all the help I can get. I have student loans that need paying off, and I know that I can really make some money if only I had the right tools.

I CANT WORK DUE TO ILLNESS
Posted by yoco2012 on 2011-11-18 08:58:04
About 2 years ago I started getting ill after moving into a apartment. I am a asthmatic and the 1st year after moving in to my apartment I got bronchitis 7 times, Pneumonia 2 times, 2 colds, 1 flu and mono. I quickly used up all my sick time and had also used up all my FLMA time. One day I had to go to the hospital from work and my employer fired me for it.
I filed for unemployment and won but my Pulmonologist
recommended that I find some other work then call center work due to my respiratory problems. I have a anxiety disorder and recently found out why. I was diagnosed with a hyperactive thyroid and I have a small cyst or growth on my thyroid gland. I started experiencing uncontrolled anxiety and fatigue. I went to counseling for the anxiety but it didnâÂÂt help much.
I recently moved out of the apartment that was possibly the cause of some of my respiratory problems because we found mold in the hallway outside of our apartment and believed it was in the building too. I have continued to become frequently ill and my fatigue, anxiety, and asthma are making it impossible for me to find a job. I canâÂÂt get disability for my asthma because my O2 levels are not low enough.
We moved into a doublewide manufactured home we bought this with a small settlement I received after a truck ran off the road and hit me when I was putting my then 2 year old into her car seat. I was injured but she luckily was ok. The other driver took off on foot. This happened this winter and even after that I have suffered extreme fatigue. Our old car was totaled out and the car we replaced it with turned out to be a lemon. In less than 3,000 miles it blew the transmission and the rear axel broke. It over heated, and we also replaced the battery, 2 pulleys, and the AC went out.
We spent over $4000 in the different repairs on the car and used all of the money from what we had left from the settlement we were going to use to replace the original roof of our house from 1988. Our roof has already had leaks and needs to be replaced
My wife is trying to find work but she has seizures and canâÂÂt drive. My wife has only had 2 jobs her whole life and is having a hard time finding work. Now we are in trouble because we have no income and bills keep coming. My parentâÂÂs just filed for bankruptcy and cant help us and my wifeâÂÂs parents are unemployed.
We need help with our bills and to pay for our basic needâÂÂs
Our bills are as followed.
Lot Rent 410.00 per month
Water/trash/sewer $100.00 approximately per month.
Phone and internet for two cell phones $150.00 (my wife and 3 year old have seizures and need a cell phone).
Car and home owner insurance $154.00 per month.
Power bill between $100-$300 per month (I live in phoenix, AZ and it gets hot).
We also are paying $100.00 per month to pay the fee for breaking the lease at the apartment that was causing me to get sick so often. We still owe $1,100.00
To put a new roof on our house will cost about $4,000
I wish I never had medical problems so I didnâÂÂt have to ask for help. I ask you please if you can help us in any way it would mean so much to us.
Thank you so much,
Joe and family,
