Need $15k Family Emergency must relocate to AZ ASAP
Posted by mjc102853 on 2012-05-14 14:58:40
Please help me I am in a really bad spot. In 2006 husband died..we owned an internet cafe. In 2007 I closed cafe & started looking for another IT job...no luck even for data entry or help desk (still looking but am told I don't have current skills & no money to get update/education). Tried to sell off all store stock & in 2009 Ebay/Craig's list sales became slim. Cashed in bonds/savings acts/401k/stocks to make ends meet. Eventually in 2010 no more corners to take from & part-time jobs just not meeting all obligations. Now son-in-law in AZ has health problems & daughter+2 grandaughters need help desperately. He had gall bladder removed a year ago & he is one of a few that cannot easily live without it...having really tough time with digestion & weight loss. No time to sell everything. WILL DONATE ALL NON-PERSONAL ITEMS TO CHARITY(s) OF YOUR CHOICE. ONLY WANT TO KEEP LIVING ROOM FURNITURE, 2 DRESSERS, CARD/TRAY TABLES & PERSONAL CLOTHES/KITCHEN/FAMILY ITEMS & COMPUTER. Help Those In Need - Lost Job, Behind in Monthly Bills
Posted by ariso56 on 2012-04-09 11:58:14
My sitiutation is not uncommon. I was promised to be re-hired and my employer decided to hire someone less experienced than me instead. Leaving me with no options as my field of work experience for the last 10 years has been in 'groundskeeping'. And all prospective employers have already hired their crews.
I live 12 miles outside the major city and with the rising cost of gas it is almost impossible to drive in to seek work on a daily basis. I have been going in 2 to 3 times a week with no results.
My monthly bills are begining to pile up on me. My 1990 Jeep is in fair shape, though it needs repairs.
I have 6 weeks to get caught up and meet my obligations which now total $2500.00.
Anything given would be so very much appreciated.

Lost Job, Behind in Monthly Bills
Posted by robbedore on 2012-04-09 10:58:50
My situation is not uncommon. Lost my Job in September, and applied for unemployment. Because of the reason i was let go from my Job, i was assessed a penalty, and could not receive unemployment until after Christmas.
Christmas came and went, and unemployment is still messing me around. I have applied for several jobs, and never heard a thing from any of them. During all of this time, i also had to deal with medical issues my wife has, which put her out of work as well, but because she only worked part time, unfortunately she doesn't qualify for Unemployment. She had amputations on both of her feet, so she has to spend most of her time in her wheelchair.
I have exhausted all of my options, and don't know what else i can do.
I have 1 week to get caught up and meet my obligations which now total $2500.00.

Trying to Start a New Life
Posted by midwestguy on 2012-01-13 19:58:32
Hi. I'm a young man of 34 years, still single, but enjoying life. I was well educated growing up and studied business in college. I've had some recent hard times with the economy just as everyone else has. But I was prepared and was able to survive on money I had saved up. But that wasn't enough, I had to cash in my retirement account in order to still make ends meet. Being the business-minded person I am, I took a hard look at my finances and cut back on every single thing I could. But even then, my expenses still seemed to be more than my income. I requested my student loan payments to be reduced based on economic hardship and found myself borrowing against my credit cards each month in order meet my financial obligations. Now, I've found myself borrowing on one credit card just to make the payment on another credit. I did this just to stay current on my monthly payments so I wouldn't ruin my credit. My credit rating is very important to me and I don't want to risk it being lowered.
Right now, here at the beginning of the year, I'm just trying to get a new start on life. I'm wanting to wipe out most of my debt so that I no longer have to worry and be stressed about that day after day and be able to concentrate on the more important things in my life. I've started clearing out a lot of clutter in my life. I've gone through a lot of my storage boxes and getting rid of things I no longer need. I'm selling my car that has been giving me issues since the summer and now needs a repair that will cost over $800. I'm making plans of moving to another part of the country which I feel has a lot more opportunity for me. I want to get more involved in the lives of our youth. I'm starting a website which gives tips on money management and plan to integrate a monthly email newsletter as well. I want to organize local meetups for youth to teach them about money. I was also recently hired as a tutor for an online tutoring company. And I want to get involved with Big Brothers too.
I feel that making these plans are the direction I'm being called towards. I feel it's right within my soul. And I feel there will be many positive aspects to this later on the down the road. But the truth is, I'm still in debt. I'm still trying to work on my financial obligations. The tutoring company I was hired with is a new company and was supposed to be live in January. But I was recently told there were some complications with the website and it may not be until March or April before we could start. So that was income I was counting on that's not happening right away. Add to that, I'm in the middle of moving and came across unforseen expenses that I was not expecting. Having no current job, I'm trying to find ways of paying for those. And since I'm moving, it's kind of difficult looking for a job. And since I have no job and no income, I'm really not sure how I'm going to afford a place to live once I do arrive.
So, as you can see, even though I've been trying to make some positive moves in my life, it's becoming increasingly difficult due to the lack of income and the increase in debt I have. So it would be a great help if you're able to make a small donation. Then I can start moving forward and changing my life for the better. Thanks so much for your consideration.

Income
Posted by oliver12 on 2011-12-19 08:58:31
I am currently employed, however I am not able to make my monthly financial obligations with my current salary. I need additional income or a better/different job.
I work for a wonderful retailer currently. Human Resources is what I have done in the past. 2 Years my company had to close their doors so my part-time job evolved into full-time. It's just not enough income to support my children and I.
If anyone out there has employment or knows of an employer looking for H.R. work or a part-time job of any kind, I would appreciate the assistance.
Thank you for your time.

Designer Needs Help - Hardware Down, Can not Work
Posted by Ninety3 on 2011-09-13 13:58:42
First, thank you for your time.
So here is my beg;
Currently I care for an elderly family member and supplement my income through Graphic & Web Design, as well as repairing computers for others.
As I have recently had several hardware meltdowns, I am not able to complete & honor current obligations, nor generate the income needed to replace needed hardware and/or complete repairs, or contract new projects.
I have no use for greed, and thus am not looking to get rich. Just looking to gain enough to replace and/or fix what I need.
Any amount can help, it all adds up. And thank you so much.

Nearly Destitute

My problem started in July 2010. I was involved in an auto accident. I rear-ended a woman, who in turn rear-ended the person in front of her. The reason it happened was that the person in front of me hit their gas and got over to an open spot in the lane to my left. This move was so fast I didn't have room to either side and I saw the reason that driver moved was the cars in front of him or her were at a dead stop. We were traveling uphill so I was unable to see past the car and I had no idea people were stopped. I had less than a second to hit my brakes. Luckily no body was injured.
Here is where the story gets ugly. My mom had paid my auto insurance but she lost her job so I started to pay the premiums. I told my insurance agent to automatically deduct the premium and I gave her my bank information. So I was under the impression I had insurance. I did not. The agent only charged me for one month's premium and never set up the automatic deduction. Great. But there seemed to be a silver lining...the two other vehicles involved in the accident drove away before the police arrived. I did not get a ticket, I was completely sober and cooperative, and the police were surprised two victims of an accident would just drive away. Both parties got all of my information, they drove away before I got theirs. At the time of the accident I wasn't worried because I thought I had insurance.
When I called my agent I was informed that my policy lapsed because I hadn't paid my monthly premium.
I was curious if the fact that both of these people drove away would take the heat off of me. The police thought this was possible, after all, how can they prove they didn't smash up their vehicles further after they drove away to get more insurance money?
It gets worse. I left my job a few years ago because I had a job all but promised to me in Denver. Obviously, I didn't get the job in Denver. Not sure why, I aced the interview. So with no steady income (I was used to making about 42k yearly) I held hope I'd land a good job and had no choice to but to survive on a credit card for food and gas. That good job never came along. I ended up working overnights as a nurse assistant in the mental health unit. I've been drowning in debt, I had to get a car from what some consider a predatory lending car lot. I lost the hospital job in April for 'misconduct' (I worked nights and someone reported that I was sleeping, I wasn't but they didn't believe me so now I don't qualify for unemployment.) So, no income to pay for that vehicle and it got repossessed. But the best part is I got a letter in January 2011 stating that I owe one of the parties involved in the accident around 5k. I don't have it. If I had the money I would write both of the drivers involved in that accident fat checks right now, but I simply do not have the resources. The letter from the state dept of transportation stated that my license would be suspended unless I came up with the money. So I called the agency, and from my conversation with the state employee it sounded like my case would be reviewed. Nope. A collection agency sent me a letter saying in total I owe nearly 35k for the two cars and my credit cards.
In February I was on my way to a friend's house and I was pulled over because my temp tags were expired. The officer ran my license and I was handcuffed and taken to jail. I have never been arrested, and my driving record is excellent. The officer even thought it was silly. Regardless, now I have a court date in early July and I have the public defender taking my case. He said I either need to pay $1000 fine, or spend a minimum of 2 days in jail. So it looks as if I will be in jail at least 2 days because I have no money. Being without a vehicle is no picnic. My job search is limited to places on a bus route close to my home in Kansas City. I have no friends or family with that kind of money. I am not a drug addict, or a criminal. My career tanked, and I've kept falling through the cracks. I stay positive and I love life, but the anxiety and absence of pride in my life are making me isolate more. I can't afford to do anything. Luckily my brother is letting me stay in a spare room at his place or I may be homeless. I am a hard worker, I have a bachelor's degree, and I am a pleasant person to work with. But I have no car, no money, horrible credit, and bleak job prospects. Please do not think I feel sorry for myself. I've made stupid decisions that got me where I am. I take responsibility for putting myself in situations where these things happened. And especially for not paying attention to my financial obligations (the insurance premium). That being said, all I can do is look forward and do the best I can to get back on my feet. At this moment I feel like a wet puppy who is trying unsuccessfully to jump out of the tub during a bath. I need help. I don't know who to turn to. I've wanted to volunteer at some places to meet people and network but without a vehicle and a suspended license I can't even volunteer at most places. Please, if anyone can help, contact me with suggestions. I desperately need to file for bankruptcy but that costs around 1,800.00 and I can't afford that.
I also have around 27k in student loan debt. That debt along with the approximately 35k in unsecured debt leaves me with a very large amount of money that I have no realistic chance of paying back. The student loans will not be affected if I file for bankruptcy. Which is fine. As a matter of pride and doing what is right I don't like that my debts can simply be written off, but that is seemingly my only option. I would love to volunteer for a charity of my debtor's choosing to start to contribute something, but that proposal often times ends up sounding like a mutated version of indentured servitude.
I apologize for the rambling. This is the first time I have ever written all of this down at once and I feel better.
Thank you for your time.

Trying to fix what's broken and move forward
Posted by sunshine_girl76 on 2011-05-01 10:58:31
I'm a 35 year old woman who got divorced last year. Over the course of the past year, I have been finding it harder and harder to make ends meet and am struggling to stay afloat financially. I do not receive alimony from my former husband and have two jobs (one full-time and one part-time.) Divorce is expensive, and I've had a significant outlay of cash in the past year to cover the costs associated with that -- everything from court costs to moving expenses (I've had to move twice -- most recently because my previous landlord went bankrupt and the place I was renting went into foreclosure.) It goes without saying that money is extremely tight for me right now and I am barely keeping my head above water.
I am working hard to get my financial life back on track, cut expenses, and build an emergency fund. However, due to some recent health problems, my medical bills are currently much higher than I typically plan for and I am asking for help in order to fulfill these obligations as well as to get me through these next few months.
I'm trimming my budget wherever I can, living simply, and selling off items that I no longer need/use/want in order to raise a little extra cash, but I have decided to also turn to the kindness of others and would be deeply appreciative of contributions in any amount. Please know that as my financial situation improves, I will look for any and all opportunities to "pay it forward," so to speak, to find others in need and support them to the best of my ability.
Thank you for your consideration and kind support.

Help if you can~Friend in need of Heart Operation in England
Posted by poweoflove on 2011-04-30 20:58:59
I don't normally get involved in something like this but the person that
is in need is a very good friend of mine from England. So I am asking
for your help to raise some money to go towards a heart operation.
This person is currently in the hospital so time is of the essence.
Over there, their healthcare system is pretty much good for those that
live in the right postcode of the Country. Unfortunately, my friend does
not. Therefore, this operation that he needs to have done, has to be
paid for up front.
While the amount there in England is 75,000 pounds, here in the USA,
that equals $123,000.
As you can see it's no small deal, but I think the important thing is
that people feel good when they something to someone whose life depends
on their generosity. The PayPal address below is a special address set up
for donations for him.
No one should be told they have to die because they live in the wrong
postcode, especially at the age of 47. He's really a great guy and would
give you the shirt off his back. But he is a very private person. His
Brother in England has been keeping me informed and he is the original
person that has started this attempt to raise enough to get the
operation. So while he is asking friends in his country, I am asking
friends in the USA and from other countries that I know.
I know things are tough all over and we have our obligations to meet,
but if any of you can spare anything to help out, it would be deeply
appreciated. This isn't a come-on. This is a true situation and a sad
one. Wouldn't matter if it was $1.00, it would still help raise the
funds needed.
I would ask that the donation be put into my PayPal account under

certainly understand if you are not able to help but appreciate you
taking the time to read this. Thank you in advance.

P.S. The following is information that I received from the Brother and
from the patient himself. I felt it necessary to include in this.

Yes, the medical situation is strange, it was, and should still be an
amazing health care system. Everyone pays into it through their taxes,
and then you get free health care, operation, medicines etc.
Trouble is, they are now realizing that the NHS as we call it, national
health service, is a bottomless pit, the more money the government throw
in, the more they can. It will always use whatever funds it has, and
they don't like it.
So now they are limiting some of the more expensive treatment and
medicines. Hence the postcode lottery. If you live in the wrong
postcode, you don't get the surgery.
The heart problem, is a basically a defect that he had from birth, a lot
of people don't know they have a problem, until one day they drop down
dead, and by then obviously its too late. In fact, usually people
don't even get to his age of 47. (I know he's not really old or
anything, that is just what the experts say!).
The problem is, in his case is that instead of just being a birth
defect, there is also a family history of heart problems and added to
this, the fact that the defect has been very slowly getting worse.
Already having one heart surgery done about 4 years ago, it didn't last.
*From the Patient
To do the full op privately would cost over £75000, including the
follow-up care. Where as I'd be happy with just the injections, and
possibly a new, better, icd being fitted. That would be a lot cheaper,
and while wouldn't be a proper fix, it would remove the risk of sudden
death. I guess all will be revealed eventually as to what they are
planning
*From the Brother. Keep in mind that this is just part of what needs to
be done. The cheaper version.
As for what has to be done, and the exact name of the condition, I am
not sure of the medical terms. The injections you were talking about,
are not stem cells nor are they clinical trials. They are to help
restructure part of the heart, some parts are over grown, and need to be
reduced in size, this can be done through through a series of controlled
injections, that will kill off specific parts of the tissue, thus
reducing its size, enabling the chambers to hold more blood, and for the
heart to be less restricted in its movement.
Another part of the procedure, is a kind of re-wiring of the heart. The
electric pulse, runs around the heart in a particular way, causing it to
beat. But in his case, the pulses are not traveling on the routes they
should be, and this needs to be corrected.
By performing these two sets of procedures, he would not be totally
cured, BUT, he would be stable, not have constant chest pains, and the
risk of sudden death syndrome, would be drastically reduced!
is in need is a very good friend of mine from England.
I would ask that the donation be put into my PayPal account under
mystereedonors@gmail.com and I will forward it over to England. I

FAMILY LOSING THEIR HOME JULY 2011. PLEASE HELP US IF YOU CAN.

I don't know where to start with this mess. I lost my job of 7 years as an Operations Manager February 2009 along with all the benefits, I never received unemployment from the State of Illinois because my former out of state employer never paid their tax obligations to Illinois. March 2009 my wife suffered a brain aneurysm and was hospitalized for 15 days but survived. She then lost her job April 2009. May 2009 the coil that they put on the aneurysm shifted and she had to have brain surgery all over again. Her medical bills exceed $500,000 of which we were responsible for $25,000 thanks to insurance. The little money she got from unemployment basically kept us living and able to pay for basic living expenses and utilities. We have been unable to make a mortgage payment since February 2010, we have done everything we can to survive this far. Our credit is now ruined, 401k is long gone and our home is in foreclosure. As of the date of this post we owe Chase Mortgage $16,000 plus Attorney fees to get the house out of foreclosure. Our next court date is June 15, 2011 at the Will County IL court house and if the mortgage is not paid we will be ordered to be out by July 15th, 2011. We are scared and have nobody to turn to. We have turned to so many agencies for help and we hear the same thing over and over. We go to the local food pantry twice a month and live off of whatever they give us. We have a 13 year old daughter and 3 dogs who are also like our children. We have a 10 year old and 13 year old car and have absolutely no where to turn for assistance. We spend 40 hours a week searching for jobs and are trying to stay positive but everything looks so grim. We have been through two loan modifications with Chase Mortgage and denied because we are both unemployed. If we can get the house caught up on mortgage payments this will buy us some more time until one of us gets a job, otherwise we will be living in our car this summer with no where to go.
We need almost $20,000 by June 15th, 2011 to get back on track with our mortgage. We really don't know how much more we can stand. Our lives have seriously taken a turn for the worse in the past two years. We have never needed to ask anyone for assistance and have always provided for ourselves. We are good people who just can't catch a break.
Please find it in your heart to help my family and I. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Please even if you can only donate a dollar, anything is better then nothing at all. I will be happy to provide you with all the proof you need if you don't believe our horrible situation. Thank you and God Bless!!!

I am about to lose my job

I have nevery had to resort to bewging, bu I now have to swallow my pride. When I see the people on the street with signs "please donate-I need to eat", I an one step away from joining them.
I am 58 years old, havew had a good jog. But now, as is every corporation's sweet dream, my job is being outsourced and I wil be without work.
Unfortunately, I have had to help family members in the same situation. And now, I have no one to turn to.
I have had to use credit cards to pay the utility bille, water, sdewage. I don't use the telephone any more because it is an added expense.
I have multiple sclerosis and have had to lie to employers to keep my job, I have not had any relapse, abd have been able to work. I am a hard worker, and have worked on contract for the same compamy fopr 5 years. That means I have ahd no benefits, vacations, or sick time.
I have avoiut $8,000.00 in credit debt between car repairs, medical bills, and paying for every day expenses (food, gas, utilities).
The medical bills are from the mediction that I take with MS, self-injectible medication which I can't afford.
I am asking for help to pay off this debt to prepare for unemployment. I have done everything from project management to tech support, so I am already looking for work to prepare the minute they say our jobs are ended.
Until I am gainfully employed again, it will be difficult to meet my obligations. Please find it in your heart to help the less fortunate.
Unfortunateky, I have had yo help out

Hi, my name is Tiffany Cooley. I am a 23 year old college student living in St. Louis, Mo. I've always tried to remain strong and fight my battles as well as bear the burdens of others. I have been a mother to my younger brother and sister since i was a small child due to my parents' chemical dependancy. We were removed from their custody in 1996 and placed in the care of my aunt. I currently care for my mother. We lived in and out of homeless shelters when i was younger and my mother never recovered from that lifestyle. I got my own place and took her in off of the streets and now am her primary support system. Myself and my younger brother are both college students and our little sister is a junior in highschool. Due to her rebellious ways she was put out of school recently which in turn caused my aunt to put her out. With that being said, I had to take her in and now its just getting harder and harder to make ends meet. My bills are passed due and in threat of disconnection, my lease expires next month on Nov 14th, but i wont be able to renew because they are going up 25 dollars on the rent so I cant afford to stay here. Its hard to find a new place whben i dont have money for a security deposit. And the stress is becoming emotionally and physically overwrhelming. I am a sickel cell anemia patient, trying to go to school, maintain a household, pay a car note and insurance, care for my mother, raise a 16 year old and stay healthy with no help. I work monday through friday but my income is not nearly enough for my obligations and responsibilities I would not be on this website if i didnt really sincerely need help. I've never asked for a hand-out, Im not that type of person,. I am just in over my head right now and i really need some assistance, especially to ensure that I have a place for my sister and I to live next month. Please someone, help, every little bit makes a difference. My direct email if you would like to contact me is N_Bailey54@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity and please be aware that i would do the same for you.

Hi All!
I'm studying to be a high school teacher and working towards my credential. With student teaching and other obligations, it's nearly impossible to work since they require a full-time student teaching commitment. In addition, I have several years of school loans to pay off in addition to current tuition to cover. My overall school bills are in the ballpark of $35,000 and growing.
I know some of you out there will hopefully feel that teaching is a noble enough to profession to support and will hopefully have a generous enough heart to help me get to where I can change the lives of students in the classroom.
I greatly appreciate your support, because, without it I would likely not be able to finish the necessary schooling to make becoming a teacher a reality!

I am an expatriate working in UAE for 3 years, I am the breadwinner in the family of 7, the soul financial source, due to medical illness in the family, my mother had a mild stroke last mar 2010 as a result of her diabetis, and prior to this she's been in and out of the hospital on 2 occasions only this year, with this and all the other needs of the family to take into consideration, my salary alone is not enough to pay for the hospital bills, medications, diagnostic procedures for my mother, I ended up acquiring loans from banks which in turn only add up to my rocketing expenses, now my rent for the flat is already past due, the cheque which was paid to the land lord already bounces, now I was given only a month to settle my obligations to the landlord, otherwise they will file a case against me for the bounce cheque, and here in the UAE,the bounce cheque law is strict and I can end up in jail because of this, that's why, much to my despair, i came to ask for help in order for me to be able to pay my rent. I need to raised $2500, in order for me to pay off my rent. I hope there will be people who will find it in their hearts to help me as I am really desperate for help. Even a bit of help will be much appreciated and I will be praying that God will bless all of you more for the help you have provided to strangers like me.
Donating $1 can actually change someone's life for...

Donating $1 can actually change someone's life for the better. Many postings on this site may sound false or unbelievable from people just looking for an easy way out, but if you continue reading, you will understand that this posting is actually sincere and worth the time spent reading.
About two years ago, I began a new profession of teaching English to those of other languages. It has been a rewarding and fruitful experience, but as you may know, teachers do not get paid a high salary especially those teaching abroad to foreign students.
For those unfamiliar with ESL/TEFL (English as a Second Language/Teaching English as a Foreign Language) it allows Native speakers like myself to spread the knowledge of English for those who wish to learn it in their home countries. I have been a Certified ESL/TEFL/TESOL Instructor since 2007 and it has been an enjoyable experience. As you may know, teachers in general do not get paid a high salary and ESL Teachers are paid even less. Being an ESL Teacher often means long hours of work for little pay and travelling to multiple destinations in one day to teach a variety of students. ESL Teachers do not expect to become rich teaching English, they do it for other reasons. I do it for C.A.R.E., four major reasons:
C-Cultures, infusing cultures and learning of yourself with others.
A-Achievement,knowing you have taught someone something in which they can use.
R-Results, the English they learn can be used to advance them in today's global economy.
E-Enrichment, providing a service in which communication can bring people together for years to come.
I am currently teaching in Ukraine, but I have a new teaching job opportunity in a new country that I would like to get to. Not only for the chance of teaching new students in a new culture, but a tremendous demand for language schools which in could turn into a what I have been hoping to do, opening my own language center. I have been planning this for months as the academic year was coming to a close at my current school, what I didn't plan for was my school not fulfilling their obligations in the contract for a year end completion bonus. This completion bonus was a major part of my relocation funds. Even though the summer has past and I continue to work towards my goal, it seems the end is moving farther away at a greater rate of speed than which I am going.
I am not asking for one individual to give the entire amount or pay the relocation expense, but only a small donation. Even if it is the cost of the average fast food meal, it will be greatly appreciated. If everyone just tells one friend and they donate, small donations can be very powerful.
Please visit my website at www.worldestiny.com (currently disabled, please feel free to visit the free web hosting site at http://worldestiny.freetzi.com) and see for yourself. Before my website was disabled it was ranked in the TOP 30 in Google search results for learning English online. I would like to keep it running and eventually open my own learning center. I offer educational games and learning activities among other things for students and teachers. I am just an honest person trying to create a better world through education, one student at a time.
As you can see, I am not simply begging for money or making a story for you to read. But, in reality, a way to help more people other than just myself.
I appreciate your time in reading my request. Thank you.
