I know God will get me through this....

*our monthly condo maintanence fee of $258.00 for the past 3 months.
*I have a $160.00 car insurance payment due on 6-10-12, this will keep my paid until 10-10-12.
*The divorce attorney is asking for a $2500.00 retainer.
*June health insurance of $555.00.
*The numerous unpaid medical expenses.
I make it happen with the rest of the things my boys and I need. In July of 2012 I will recieve Medicare, since I will then have been on disability for 2 years. I think that will make things somewhat easier on me. As a note, lymphoma is not being treated right now. Thank goodness the nodules have remained stable, though if there is any change I will probably have to start some sort of treatment.
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Since almost dying in 2010, I have a renewed faith in God (though I have always been a believer). I know that God walks beside me and my children and the He watches over us. Prayers to all that are on this site, whether asking for help or giving it.

I am desperate. I have never been in a situation such as this before. I have numerous ailments and require electricity in order to take my daily breathing treatments. I have diabetes, severe asthma, fibromyalgia, arthtitis, and severe high blood pressure. No, I do not smoke, drink or use drugs. I don't even have a cell phone.
Any help you can offer would be very appreciated. Asking for financial help is the most difficult thing I have ever done.

I am in dire need of financial assistance as I have been unable to locate stable employment. I have and continue to apply for numerous jobs to no avail and have gotten behind on my rent and bills. Anyday now, I'm sure to get an eviction notice as I am unable to come up with enough money to catch up. The little that I make only covers the main bills such as utilities, food, phone. I have tried charities in my area but have been denied as they want me to actually receive an eviction notice. I'm trying to prevent that as its not guaranteed the landlord would accept it if it came to this point.
My main concern is the rent as I need a roof over my head. Right now I'm behind $600.00. I would be most grateful if you can assist in any way possible.
My goal is to continue to keep applying for jobs as I have faith that one day, hopefully soon, I will find employment.
Thank you,

I'm 25 years old, married to a wonderful woman, and have two step children, and one child of my own. About three years ago, after experiencing excruciating pain in my left leg and coughing fits that caused me to pass out, A very large blood clot was found in my left leg. Pieces of this clot were breaking off, and damaging my lungs causing the coughing fits. I was hospitalized for an entire month while the doctors pumped me full of blood thinners to alleviate the clot. I was forced to quit my job, and go on medical disability. The blood clot, despite numerous drugs and procedures, persists to this day. I am unable to work, and state disability lasts for only one year. My wife, bless her heart has supported me through this entire ordeal, but she works for a local fast food chain, and makes very little money. Between taking care of the children, paying my medical bills, paying the utilities, and keeping a roof over our heads... there just isn't enough money to go around. Utilities are past due, we cant afford my medication and to top things off, my step-sons fourth birthday is in 15 days, and we cant even afford a gift. The walls are closing in around us, and we have no where to turn. If you can find it in your heart to help us, even a little, god bless you. You will always be in our prayers, and our hearts for helping us through this ordeal.

Someone steal ALL your money.
Someone created false checks with our bankâs routing number and account number but put a personâs individual name with erroneous address and duplicated the check numerous time to where it totally wiped out our checking account and put six additional fake checks onto our overdraft protection. This person even changed the name of the bank from Fifth Third to First Bank of Clewiston on the face of the check and no one has caught her. She wrote numerous checks to Publix, Sweetbay, Murphy, Winn Dixie, etc. and has gotten away with this. Meanwhile, you, the concerned citizens, are suffering from what she has done because we have been financially damaged by her actions. All of this can be verified with Fifth Third Bank (Fraud Investigation Case # 2011-027001 filed September 2011) call Angela Jones phone 239-772-1122. We have been suffering that long and need your help NOW.
We are a dual purpose organization which saves animals from being destroyed because their days have expired and work with some of the animals to teach them to serve the public as a service dog. The daily feeding and caring for the animals has been a financial need which the President of the group (Shirley Lucas) has been financially supporting the animals but this robbery is causing us to lose the 13 acres it utilizes to practice its training of the personnel and dogs. These are search and rescue maneuvers for missing children and elderly persons plus response to disaster situations. This property is essential in the operations and drills for the group. The property is Lee County parcel ID # 03-44-27-06-00000.0050 being located at 155 Greenbriar Blvd., Lehigh Acres, FL. 33972
K-9 Search and Rescue of South Florida, Inc. is greatly in need of financial support and seeks assistance in saving the animals and the property through your IMMEDIATE response of a donation or sponsorship or grant. The land will be auctioned on this upcoming Tuesday, April 3rd, if the approx. $8,000 is not paid in full no later than 10am. If we lose this land the free services we provide to the community will be greatly diminished.
This is happening to us not because of anything we have done but because someone has stolen from us. Just remember this could have happened to your family⦠and wouldnât you want someone to come help them?
Please help us save this land and keep our organization afloat. You can assist by sending your tax deductible donation through your own PayPal account or using a credit/debit card or making a deposit into our bank account. Hereâs the information: 1) go to PayPal to use your credit or debit card even if you do not have a private account and put the groupâs email address as the receiptant: LeeCtyFLSAR@aol.com or 2) go to any FLOIRDA GULF BANK and tell them you want to donate to our organization and they will know how to handle it. There are 7 branches throughout Lee County. You can confirm this by calling the bank (239-433-6020), ask for either Jackie, Sherrie, Glenis or Sylvia http://www.floridagulfbank.com/locations.html
ANY amount will help. Even $5 will help pay for food for the animals.
TIME is of the utmost essence. Please respond today.
Sincerely,
Shirley Lucas

We need help with taxes
Posted by nt1962 on 2012-02-17 15:58:59
The house was deeded to the church over 30 years ago by a former pastor of the church who had become ill and subsequently passed away. The house is not located in the same community as the church. (In fact, it is some distance away from the church, and therefore could not be utilized for church-related purposes which would have taken it off of the tax roll). As a result of gentrification in that community, the property values have increased tremendously. The property tax assessment for the property owned by the church escalated to staggering heights during the housing bubble.
Because of this the church has had much difficulty keeping up with all of the taxes on the property (a general tax, a school tax, and a village tax). The rental income from the property is used to assist the church with operating expenses, maintenance of all of the church properties, as well as paying the taxes. Finally, reassessment in the last couple of years has brought down the amount of taxes to be paid and we are better able to handle some of the current taxes due, but some of the older taxes were sold and consolidated in tax lien sales. The consolidation of the prior taxes due has hurt us tremendously. Numerous times the unpaid taxes were consolidated prior to our completion of raising enough funds to pay off some of them in their unconsolidated state. Individually some were $1,000 to $3,000 respectively. They have been consolidated totaling almost $19,000. We are not permitted to pay the liens individually which was viable, we have to pay them in total.
There is a holding company based in the community where the house is located which purchased those liens. That company is now a few months away from being able to begin foreclosure proceedings and take a valuable piece of real estate out from under the church. This would be devastating to the church.
The church has been in the process of trying to sell the house and use the proceeds from the sale to build a much needed new church building in the community it is located as well as to pay off those outstanding liens at closing, and to unload a property that was once a blessing to the church, but has long since become a burden. We donât want to lose the property. We want to be able to sell it. We had some offers on the house, but at the last minute a promising deal fell through. Previously interested buyers, for some reason now, are less interested. We feel it is possible that there may some collusion within the community where the house is located to wait for the lien process to move forward and that potential purchasers connected with the holding company will be able to take the property and flip it to tremendous financial advantage, while leaving the church with nothing for thirty years of struggling to take care of the property.
It is important that we are allowed to sell the house and build our new church. We are in the final stages of making the new building a reality. All we have to do is secure the construction financing. Receipt of a commitment letter for the sale of the house is all that stands in the way of a 40+ year dream for the congregation. It would give us the down-payment that we need to move forward.
With the construction of a new church, we would be able to operate before and after school programs, have handicap accessible restrooms, and provide better services to the community. We have a senior citizens housing complex across the street from our church, and many of the residents would attend our church but they are unable to climb up and down the stairs to the single-person restrooms in the basement. We also operate a summer day camp which would benefit greatly from having more space in which to operate. We would be able to accommodate many more youngsters, many of whose families are unable to afford the other summer camps operating in the area. We have had to turn down prospective campers because of space constraints.
Our congregational makeup has changed over the years. The financial impact of that changed has been coupled with the severe impact of the economic downturn on our community. We have more retirees now on fixed income, youth, and small children, many of whom have young mothers, and some people who are working age, mostly with working class wages. We need to build a church to better meet the needs of our congregation and community. We operate a food pantry and soup kitchen which would be able to open more days a week with bigger pantry space and a modern commercial kitchen.
As I stated, we are in the final stages of the building project. We have our permits, plans, and contractor selected. We are ready to obtain financing. The congregation, which has always striven to do much with little, has invested much in this projected over the years and the sale of this property owned by the church is the one thing that stands in the way of it happening. Please do not let us lose this property just so a few people can make a quick buck. Help us to pay off these tax liens so that our church will be able to help transform an entire community!

Veteran Husband recently passed away, no where to turn.
Posted by airbrshldy on 2012-02-11 10:58:09
My husband, who is a Vietnam vet, passed away recently (October 8th, 2011) from Bone and Lung Cancer at home. First of all, he wanted to spend the rest of his life home with me and our pets (three Mini Dachshunds and two kitties). Also, the VA wouldn't be able to control his pain enough so that he could enjoy the remainder of his life so he went under Hospice care. They strive for quality of life and they were amazing.
The problem with that was that when you die at home, the VA covers nothing at all. Had he died in the VA they would've covered his funeral expenses. We didn't have life insurance. He had started a policy, but the bill for the first payment came in on Monday, the 10th. He died Saturday the 8th.
He died here at home and then was placed in the funeral home morgue until we could come up with enough of a down payment for his funeral (I believe it was $2000.00) I still owe something around $5,000. He stayed in that morgue for around three weeks before we could gather up that money. Not a good way to treat a vet at all.
I had left my job to take care of and be with him until he died, this is what he wanted. We didn't have insurance or any kind of state medical help. We lived on his disability check that he received monthly. There are no survivor benefits, VA or Social Security I've been told either. We had only been married a year. We have been together since 2002, but got married Sept. 21, 2010. We had our first anniversary a couple weeks before he died. As far as I know, SS people have told me we must have been married for ten years in order to get any kind of survivor benefits.
We had sold our boat, truck, and spent any money that we had toward our living expenses and to help with down-payment on funeral.
Now, I'm back to work but it is part time, I make $7.50 per hour (sometimes as little as 20 hours every two weeks). Telephone survey taker. I don't qualify for state help other than food stamps.
I've been looking for work since he died and not getting any responses at all. I am on the Michworks website numerous times a day, every day besides checking the local papers, and any other things I can think of.
Right now as I write this, I am due to lose our home (we rented this for the last nine years). My rent was due on the first. I have borrowed money, sold household items, and gotten help from the area charity places that I could. Every month has been a struggle and every month I think "okay, I've gotten the rent paid this month and I SHOULD have a new job by the next time the rent is due", but sadly it is not working that way. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm beginning to lose faith. I absolutely cannot get rid of our pets either. I promised I would never let anything happen to them and I wont. Besides, they are our little ones, our family that we had together. They are also what is keeping me going. I cannot imagine life without them and him too.
I am at the end of my rope now. I didn't want to resort to this and it really is a blow but I don't know what else to do anymore.
I hope that there is someone out there that will read this and be able to help me somehow.
Thank you so much.
Please help me clear debt that is drowning me

I have, for the last 15 years, struggled to make ends meet, following periods of ill-health, bad luck and catastrophic decision making. My circumstances are now very desperate indeed, and have even considered suicide.
In 1997 I suffered from a period of depression, that became so severe that I was forced to give up my job, and borrowed money to cover my mortgage and keep my house. Unfortunately the repayments on this ever increasing debt snowballed, and I found myself unable to meet my mortgage and household bills. I had ploughed my life savings into the home, and lost it all.
In 2006 I was approached by a friend, who was concerned for my financial circumstances, and suggested that we buy an old property, renovate it and sell it for a profit. I was desperate to make some money, and trusted my friend. I would refer you to full details of this in my Beg, as the project ended in complete failure having been ripped off by an unscrupulous builder. Work that should have taken 3 months took in excess of 9, and I ended up carrying out all the work myself. I regularly worked at the house from the early hours until well past midnight. The long hours left me exhausted, and in October 2008 I had a breakdown. I simply couldnât carry on, and collapsed at work. My employer at the time was an unforgiving and vindictive man, and he said that I would be suspended if my work didnât improve. I was afraid that I would lose my job, and under considerable psychological pressure from my employer I was forced to resign.
Following the failed business venture, which had plunged me into further debt, my breakdown and subsequent loss of my job, I simply couldnât cope and pushed me into a long period of depression that became so severe that I planned to take my life. At the time I was so ill that I was unable to hold down a job, and this simply added to my woes - whilst out of work and undergoing intensive counselling I borrowed further. By the end of 2009 I was £15,000 ($23,250) in debt. I desperately want to rebuild my life now, but it is difficult to do so when I am saddled with a debt that is crippling me. Between 2009 and December 2010 my debt increased - there is no answer to it, and I will never ever me able to clear the £18,000 ($27,900) that I now owe. It is a debt that cripples me and prevents me from having a normal, happy life. I am 50 in February 2012, but have no future. I am tired of being worried, stressed, unable to sleep, and being depressed. Please, please help me start my life all over again. Please read my full story, and contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.
Looking for a kind person that knows the importance of a nice smile.
