Hi, my name is Daniel and I would like to start by saying thank you for taking the time to consider donating towards my education. I recently moved to Seattle for a change and I do love it here, but it is time to get back into school to finish my degree in networking and web-design. I am working a full time job and am all set to start school in June, but I still need a certain amount of help making the educational ends meet. By donating, you would not only be donating towards the acquisition of a physical item, but also towards my peace of mind and a gradual sense of accomplishment. I would like to be at a place in my life where I do not need to ask for help, but that is not the reality of my situation.

In 2009, I was made homeless by Hurricane Ida in Virginia. That same year, I became disabled with COPD, sciatica and fibromyalgia. It has been a long, slow process of recovery,pain, poverty,and the accompanying humiliation. I have had to give up my car, my cottage, and my job.

However, thanks to the efforts of very dear friends and some self-made luck I finally have a stable living situation, and the strength to embark on a new career as a writer and self-publisher of Spiritual and New Age materials.
Writing is where I find my greatest joy, (followed closely by my painting) and my experiences have given me rewards of perspective that makes the challenges I still contend with somehow worth it. I'm looking to help others find the inner strength and hope that I found through my own crisis.

My computer, however, is almost 8 years old and between the "pages not responsive" and "Chrome has crashed", system crashes and stalls, etc it routinely takes me up to 3 hours to upload anything to the site. I have very limited energy, and this can take up an entire day.
The the age of the machine means that it is limited in terms of upgrades and networking.
I've learned and done all I can to keep it running this long, but now I need a new one if I am going to be able to do the kind of heavy-duty publishing and posting to make it in this field and become self-sufficient.
I am looking for $5,000+ to cover the following costs:

I decided to change professions from installing cables for networking to trying to get a tefl certification. And teach english to other poeple in the world. It's a great opportunity for anybody i think. Every body i know is loseing there job and i am trying hard to work myself. Other then the minimum wage trap i can't find anything. Every company i know is shutting down it's really gotten bad in San Antonio for my feild of work. I am begging for help and thats something i never thought i would do. I wish i could be funny or whitty right now like entertainment for money. However the fact is. I have no idea what to do with my life other then this right now. I hate liveing off unemployment i am fully capabil of working and am trying to. But Nobody is hireing for what i am good at. Please help me out.

Hi, I'm new to this so please bear with me.....

I am a 35 year old single mother of four beautiful children aged 10, 9, 5 and 5 months. I have a spinal injury that after many tests and consultations with Dr's and Neurosurgeons is inoperable and I now have to just 'deal with the pain', which I do, without medication, as I didn't want to add another problem to my ever growing list of health related issues that stem from the issues with my spine.

I discovered just over a year ago that I have a brother and sister (twins) who are 10 years younger than me. It was a massive shock but since finding out about each other we communicate on an almost daily basis through a social networking site and on skype and it feels like we have always known about each other. My children have no-one apart from myself and my mum and to have discovered my siblings and their children has been brilliant for us all.

We desperately want to go and see my brother and sister and their families but we need to fly and to be able to do so we all need a passport, which, having worked it out, is going to be very costly.

I have managed to find someone I know who falls into several of the categories to countersign our passport application forms so I have managed to save some money there and I have, through selling some items on ebay, managed to raise the money for all the photos to be taken and for copies of all of our full birth certificates, but the actual cost of the passports is proving harder to raise the money for.

I am embarrassed and ashamed that I am having to 'beg' for help but I do not want to go down the route of having to borrow the money from a loan company as the interest rates are astronomical and as desperate as I am to meet my siblings, I do not want to do so by getting us into debt as I spent 10 years paying debts off and we now live debt free, buying only what we can afford. We live within our means, do not holiday; in fact my children have never been fortunate enough to holiday; this is something I feel very upset about as I have many happy memories from my childhood family holidays....It breaks my heart when holiday adverts are on the television.

Any help will be gratefully received, no matter how small as we are all too aware - every penny helps!!

I am disabled and tried to better my future and put my kids through college by retraining myself in IT/Networking field.After 911 hapened everything changed.Now I would need a security clearance to obtain employement and employers aren't willing to pay for one.I have a Associates Degree and Networking Diploma i can't use and left with 40,000 in student loans and bad credit.After Graduation I was informed by SSI that they made a mistake in overpayment and they are taking the 26,000 out of my monthly checks..I have two children still living with me, one is autistic and the other has ADHD..Please help..I cant even afford my diabetic medication and doctor bill copays..anything will do..trying to pay for the 40,000 I owe in loans and fix my credit.

I passed my 10th in 2004 with 65% marks, and 12th 62% marks from WestBengl Govt. School Bord, And appeared in Joint Entrance Exam for Medical (Doctor), As my financial condition is bad So I did not continue my study, and trying to find some job, and got a small job, of $45 per month.And I started my study once again from Brainware institue of Hardware and Networking, and PTU. That is a BSc. Cours, my Fees is about $ 40 per month, so its not possible to continue my study once again as I run my family. My father is a poor farmer in a remote village, and I lost my mother in childhood, I have 1 brother and 1 Sister, and Friend I am in a big problem now, don't know what to do, If any one can help me to continue my study by paying 1 or 2 penny or $1 or $2 I would be great full to you through out my life. I have been out of a full time job for the last 2 1/2 yrs living at home with my dad which has been a total wreck. I moved in with him after I lost my job working for Pepsi back in June of 2008. I did end up going back to school for computer networking & I am currently A+ certified as a computer technician. I have managed to get short term contracts to pay the small bills that I have but nothing has come through that will allow me to get my own place. Living in his place has been a total disaster...he suffers from a crack cocaine addiction so that means he is constantly going through mood changes that I suffer from, he is constantly begging, I don't have much privacy & he is all around rude. I don't leave out of my room unless im eating, going to the bathroom, or leaving out of the front door. I have 2 sons's 15yrs old and 6yrs old and I don't want my kids here because I stay confined to my room & don't want my kids to feel confined. I often come home to the smell of crack being smoked throughout the house & it makes my stomach turn. I would like to purchase a foreclosed home for me & my kids that I can call my own. Everything here that I speak of can be confirmed.... I am asking everyone who reads this & cares or who can even relate to this situation please donate what you can. Even if I can't buy a home from the donations recieved I will get my own place and pay the rent up for at least a year & will have a nest egg to keep me going until I find another job. This is not for paying of credit cards, to make a million bucks, or for that luxuary vacation....This is to put me in my own home and for me to have a piece of mind. Alright, I don't mean to be another pointless beg. However, I hope to appeal to the smokers out there. I'm a college student who just lost his veteran's benefits.

I'm going full-time for IT-Networking, and schoolwork keeps me bogged down too much to try to work. I do odd jobs when possible, but that's few and far between. After handling other necessities, I only get a pack or two.

All in all, Any donations to keep me sane will be greatly appreciated. In fact, For any donation of 5 dollars (about the cost of a pack) I can offer a PC cleaning safely and remotely.

I'm past disillusioned. Friends and family always say "It will get better." I'm so sick of hearing that. After sending out easily THOUSANDS of resumes and only having a handful of interviews (that I'm fairly certain I rocked), I have nothing to show for my life. Unable to pay rent or bills, parents no longer able to help. All I do with my life is work odd jobs and apply for work. It's so disheartening. Networking and nepotism seems to be the only way to get a job these days, even if you excelled at a great school like I did.

I hate that it's come to begging for money. I just. Want. To. Work. I'm in LA and am looking to find work somewhere on the business side of the entertainment industry. My BS is in Econ w/ a focus in Entertainment. My background is in PR, Social Media, and as an Admin/Exec Assistant. (Resume available if you need it.) I have never done this sort of thing, but here goes. My name is James and I was put out of work in July 2009 and told to thank our president for it! Since then I have been unable to find any work. I am married and have 3 little girls, ages 3 to 10. My wife is unable to work due to a head injury from an accident in November 2009. Needless to say, things are extremely tight, I can either pay the rent, or pay utilities with my unemployment checks. We have run into a brick wall. I have a college degree in networking, but cannot find any work within a 50 mile range of where we live. Hi, I'm Chris, I am 23, an employed college student & I live in southern California.

I am currently living in the Irvine area w/my family. My family is poor to the point of being destitute. I literally do not eat breakfast or lunch since we either do not have food or the food is of such low quality it will make me physically ill to eat it. I buy & only drink distilled water from a local market because it is the only clean source of water available due to contaminants in the public water system as well as the public water is mostly unfiltered reclaimed runoff water.

Educationally I am currently a student that wishes to study culinary arts but is forced to learn networking protocols due to lack of funding. Culinary schools are a specialty school which require a lot of money to attend. I am training for my CCNA+Linux Admin Certs at a local community college.

My first job was to a physician doing medical claims billing part time. This position had me mostly behind a terminal looking at a blinking monitor keeping track of patient records. Starting $8/hr end 9.50/hr. After leaving due to hours being cutback I got a temp job for a company collecting on medical leins. That didn't work out, so a couple months later got a job as a part of the Technical services dept at UCI medical center. Due to having a personal falling out with my parents at the time I was supposed to be hired, I was kicked out. Unable to go to the interview without a car I missed the opportunity until several months later when the position was needed to be filled again. At this point the project that the position was for had already been completed & the final checks were being done. The position only lasted 3 weeks. $15/hr for doing desktop support @ UCI medical center.

After working at UCI a "friend" of mine whom I've known since freshman year of high school told me he could get me a job at his work. Of course after several months of hearing nothing back I realize its just more of the So-cal area bullshit I am so used to.

Since then I have been hired as a model. The agency is setup so that the company accepts models which the models pay into a certain amount ($30) for the service of being sent information on potential upcoming modeling jobs(underwear ads, online catalog modeling etc).

Throughout all of this I've never made enough money to live independently from family financial support due to the unreasonably high cost of living in this area. $800 - $1200 to rent an APARTMENT. $500 - $900 to rent a SINGLE ROOM, NO GUESTS/GF. This amount may or many not include utilities.

The point of the post is to get help. Help by getting donations to help me start a home business in the style of the cottage industry. I have a small business opportunity I could start with $800-$1000 investment that would start me off on the path to independence. Through this I would be selling a specialized product which should net me an income of 3k per month which would allow me to reinvest into the business & provide me with financial independence until I am able to attend a nice Culinary University.

My dream is to be able to attend a nice cooking school & learn to be a skilled Chef.

I need help with rent and additional bills. I am looking to raise $975.00. In short, I lost my job on 12/11/09, unemployment has turned me down for the $182.00 per week that they originally said I was entitled to. I'm going through the appeal process.

I contracted to mentor class on Wednesday night for one month and get paid $600.00. I'm ashamed to say that I asked those people to pay me in advance. Now I have to get to them for the next three week which is approximately 25 mile each way. My rent is $975.00. Not to mention any other bills. I have taken out a car title loan of $900.00. That just makes another bill that has ridiculous interest of $290.00 per month for 12 months. I have turned in all of my gold for cash, got $380.00 from that. I told a few people in a jokenly manner that I had a thought to commit a crime the other day. I'm really serious. My spirits are very low. I have sat in this chair some days sending out resumes until I had to add cushions and my hand was swollen. Honest to God, there is no greater pressure than not having your rent money. I'm praying, networking, I'm applying for any kind of job. I'm under-qualified, I'm over-qualified, and I owe everybody. I have just run out of resources. I realize that things could be alot worst, like the victims in Haiti. I'd like to get myself back in shape to possibly assist in that effort. I normally watch another network for the news, but I happen to catch a reporter talking about this website. I believe in miracles because it is certainly one that I am still in this apartment. I truly believe that someone will accept my plea. I will be forever grateful and pass the blessing.
