How can I help the poor and needy people? you may ask. I'll tell you how. I'm a poor minister, currently working in a factory. I drive an old, rusty 1985 Chevy Citation. My mechanic tells me I need a newer car right away but I don't have any money for one. It's so rusty the frame has cracked. It's literally being held together with a wire and chain so the frame doesn't rub on a back tire and give me a flat. And I need this to drive 12 miles and back to work every day to keep my paychecks coming in and for my ministry activities. And now the transmission is starting to go too. I can get a newer one right now for $5,000 that would last me for years but have no money and bad credit. So if you're asking the question, "How can I help the poor and needy people?" here's how. Some moths ago, I came home from a normal day at work, happy to see my two little boys (Josh 3 and Liam 4 months) and what I used to consider my better half. I walked in to find the house empty - no note, no indication of what had happened. I toyed around with calling the police, but it was clear this wasn't a missing persons case, or a robbery or anything else other than what it was. Everything was gone. Phone disconnected, bank accounts cleared out, credit cards closed. Suddenly it was me, the house and the car and nothing else. After a few days of searching, talking to family, friends and yes even filing a police report - not they cared much - I discovered I had been dumped for a guy my wife had been seeing for months. We has only just signed the lease less than a month before, and I thought we were really happy together. There were no signs - nothing that I saw at least. This really isn't the part that hurts, I can live with all this; it's her life and her decision. What really hurts is not seeing my boys.

During the first few days I didn't work, too busy trying to piece together what had gone on and why and how it had come to this right under my nose. The rent still needed to be paid, even though the house was unfurnished and too big for me alone. I was (and still am) locked into the lease! Problem number one.

Problem number two is rather more complex. Last Friday I received two letters. The first from a solicitor (our version of what you would call a lawyer) informing me of divorce proceedings and the second was sent a letter from the Child Support Agency informing me my wife is seeking child support payments from me. Now, I'm no deadbeat dad! I think all parents should pay for their children's needs but here I am - rent on a house I don't need, no furniture (some friends have lent me a TV and cooking utensils and a couch), no money to contest the proceedings and on top of that she wants me to pay child support while she's shacked up and living a 'normal' life with my boys, whom I haven't seen since.

I've seen a solicitor who advised me he wouldn't bill me for the first meeting - we talked about the situation, and what he could do from here... It requires more than I have, to achieve what I want and what I think is fair! All I want to do is split our assets 60/40 her favour (she has the kids). Get out of this lease that I'm legally locked into, and get shared custody of my beautiful little boys. Problem is she has the assets and without a court order to either return a portion to me or divest herself of some of the assets so I can be compensated, I can't pay a solicitor and barrister to get the money to do all this. Once it's all settled I'll happily pay my child support requirements, see my boys and leave her out of my life, seeing that's what she wants.

My solicitor has told me I could be up for as much as $10,000, but $6000 should be a good starting point. His firm wont proceed without knowing they'll be paid - fair enough, but what's a man to do in this situation?

I am literally begging for $6000. I haven't wanted for anything in my life - I've always worked and worked hard for what I had, but when it's all taken away from you, you realise how vulnerable we all are. I'm pledging that whatever I receive from this site that's not used in the case, I will pay forward, to another needy soul from this site. Please help... Update: 6th Jan 2012. I've managed to get the proceedings heard at a later date, due to my personal situation. But nothing has changed. I still don't have the funds to fight this and to date not one response to my plea for help. I'm begging - literally for some assistance. I haven't seen my boys since December and I can't fight this without your help.

I have nothing to fight her with. No funds, no will and no motivation. The house has been re-leased and the owner has started legal proceedings against me, I have nothing but what she left me. I am trying my hardest to provide some money for my two kids - that I haven't seen since December. I can't go on like this. No-one can!

I want to make a NGO for needy people like student or poor children, because I am a poor student and I know that how tough to be a graduate person.From my boyhood I took help from Club,Library,school's teacher's, neighbours and Class frieds also,

so, I know how tough to be a educated person, I want to help them those who are really needy for education and want to stand on his or her own feet.

I need around $5000,for making a cyber cafe at first as well as foundation a NGO.

I have always led a good and honest life. I was married for 17 years. When my Grandmother became ill, I felt it was my duty to take care of her. So, I quit my job to take care of her full time and we moved into her home, while my husband continued to work and support our 4 children and I.
A year ago she passed away and my husband after finding out there was nothing in her will and the house was under because of a reverse mortgage, he divorced me and abandoned our children.
I have been working part time at a large retailer, doing my best to keep us a float. But now the bank is selling the house we have been living in. I can't find any full time work and I have 4 children in school. I don't have enough money to make a deposit on a new apartment, and have only been surviving so far because of the graces of my church fellowship and friends.
I am just looking for some help to get us back on our feet. To allow me to make a deposit and get us moved and maybe put some newer clothes on my children.
For my part, I promise to keep working and looking for full time work. If I find a full time job and make enough to survive, I promise to become a donor here for another needy family.

Hello There,

I am a Psychology student at an accredited college in Pennsylvania. I am in my final year and have learned that I am one credit course short from receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I need to go to Summer School to complete the final course, but do not have the funds available, nor do I have any more loan options. The course with text book rentals will be $2,857.50. I have tried to earn scholarships, but none have been granted. There is always some in more need. I hate having to do this, but this is the only option left for me.

My parents are barely making ends meet, and have gone without just to help me finish school. I implore anyone with a heart to help me. I walk to my school and see the homeless and needy asking for spare change beside the road and have given a dollar or two when I could. The roles are now reversed, only no one seems to be willing to extend a helping hand. Please help me.

My friends are getting married in Hawai'i this summer. I wasn't planning on going, but then my house was flooded in September and I lost everything. Not only did they rescue me from the powerless, waterless hotel I was stuck in for two days, they helped with the cleaning out and gutting of the house, let me live with them until my house was livable, not only put up with but embraced my needy dog, and unofficially adopted me as a member of his family (soon to be hers as well!)

As they refused to take any payment from me, or any other form of thank you other than words, I feel that attending their wedding in July is my way of showing gratitude, by supporting them as they combine their worlds as one legally. Airfare will be the worst of the expenses, they have rented a house for guests and so this has lowered the hotel cost, and 3 friends and I will be sharing the cost of a rental car. Please help me make the 10 hour long flight a little easier to bear!

My 5 month old son was admitted to hospital with respiratory distress.

He had a lack of oxygen to his lungs and it was touch and go for several days! He had to have oxygen, ventilators, a feeding tube and was in HDU!

As a single mother to two young children, I am forced to work part time as I receive no help, financial or emotional from their father, who ran off with my best friend.

I currently owe £4,000 in medical bills and on top still have to pay my rent and food and day care for my two children, plus the excess in sitters I needed for my older child while the baby was in hospital.

please please please if you can, help me. I would never normally do something like this but I cannot see any other option! I have been turnt down for a loan as I do not earn enough and live in rented accomodation.

I promise as soon as I am back on my feet, I will donate every penny I can afford to other needy causes!!!

The best way I have found to ask for help is to just ask. Please help me. I have fibromyalgia, Type II Diabetes, Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, migraine headaches, GERD, and major depression. I have recently learned of a medical program/procedure that could possibly help with each of these problems. Currently, I am disabled, receiving government subsidy through SS Disability. My meds alone, even with the medicare coverage I have, run me $150 a month. The insurance will cover this program, but I would still need about $5000 for out-of-pocket expenses. I have always enjoyed helping other people and tend to give everything I have to those I feel are more needy. Unfortunately, I am now the needy one. Can you please help me? Even a little bit would be a blessing, and I would be forever greatful. Rest assured, I would pay it forward. The thought of possibly being able to get a job and not have to take government money is so exciting. And being able to help others again would bring me such peace.
