I am in hopes that I can find some assistance in paying my rent for the month of June. I am a single father of 3 children currently going though a divorce. I work 50-60 hours a week to try and keep up on the bills. However, our van broke down two weeks ago and I am still recovering financially from the cost of repairs which was over $1300.

I am a single Mom of three wonderful children. But it is finacialy
difficult. I had a great factory job but was injured on the factory line and fired for it. It has been difficult to find a job that after childcare, I can't earn enough money to pay the bills. Two of my children have special needs, my oldest with her difficulties will be repeating two grades in elementry, !st grade and failing this year, 3rd grade. My second child is mild autistic, and will have to repeat 1st grade. Both children are taken out of the classrooms for resource classes. It has been a while and all of my savings have been used to suport us all.
My x left us in Nov 2006, and we have not seen him since. Years of refusing to pay childsupport and he is 24,000 in arrears, managed to get SSI just for himself, so child support is only $50 a mo and $10 mo to pay back for arrears. I am asking for help so that I can help pay off the growing bills I can't afford anymore. I don't own anything I could sell. I feel as if I am drowning, falling unable to pay surounded with past due notices and collections calls and feel like the end of my rope. Please help, even small amounts in collection are blessings. Hello. In July, 2010, my husband Theo was diagnosed with West Nile Virus and Encephalitis causing him to lose his motor skills and become an infant in a 40 yr old body. The virus is gone, but the effects linger. He has been out of work for almost 21 months. We live in Orlando, FL and Theo has been receiving treatment in St Louis, MO for the last 7 weeks. The treatments are working and the Dr wants to keep him for another 6 weeks. We are trying to raise $3000 to cover the costs of his stay, the Dr visits and his flight home. I have $10,043 in medical bill debt from an accident in January 2010 where someone hit me with a 4-wheeler, putting me in a coma for 2 months and then physical therapy and rehab after that. The original bill was $200,000 for the medical costs, but I received a scholarship to cover 95% of the cost because I didn't have health insurance at the time. While I was in a coma, I lost my apartment, fell behind on payments on my school loans, and my bills were sent to collections. Ashland Kentucky is a small town, and we're kind of a small family so I didn't want to press charges on the person who hit me. But when I met my fiancé and we started talking about marriage, I discussed my situation with a lawyer to determine what I should do.
We want to be able to buy a house in the future, but with this debt the lawyer was afraid that my credit will hinder that. The lawyer was also afraid that since my bills are in collections that if I get married that the creditors would seize my fiancé’s assets. My fiancé doesn't have much, but we are sharing his truck since I lost my car and if the creditors took his truck we'd be out the $10,000 remaining on the truck loan and without a vehicle. I decided I would try to press charges just for the cost of filing bankruptcy, but the person who hit me was the sheriff’s son. No police report was ever filed. Small town politics are good in most situations. This is not one of them.
The lawyer tried to do what he could, but Kentucky’s statute of limitations for filing suit against someone is 1 year. By the time I decided I needed to sue, it was too late. So I’m stuck with a bill I can’t pay and it’s the only thing keeping me from marrying the man I love. My mother is a medical transcriptionist in West Virginia, and she’s barely making enough to support herself and her boyfriend so I can’t ask her for help. My father has been in prison my entire life so I don’t really have anyone to turn to for assistance with this. My fiancé’s parents have been very helpful, but they only have so much to help with and they can’t assist us with the bankruptcy.
Me and Trey (my fiancé) are paying for the wedding and the honeymoon entirely by ourselves, on top of keeping up with rent and truck payments and regular bills. Like I said, we’re happy and we’re doing okay living a humble lifestyle. Other people have it worse, I get that and I’m grateful for the love I’ve found and the life I get to spend with him. Before this I always work 60 to 100 hours a week. Which also contributed my poor health. In 2008 I had my second heart attack (a minor one). It was actually lucky for me. Doctors installed a defibrillator with pacing technology. My dizzy spells were finally under control. Since then I have been working hard to build strength so I can go back to work and have a normal productive life. My car ..is no longer road worthy. Needs about $2300 in repairs. Now I have trouble making appointments to my Cardiologist, primary care Physician and physical therapy. This year i have missed 6 doctors appointments and had to stop all therapy. I also have trouble picking up medication on time so i go with out them sometimes up to a week. I get $1500/mo from Social Security. $96 of that goes toward medicare insurance premium. My rent is $500/mo. My medications are $400/mo and that is with prescription help. With out that help my meds are $1476. My utilities run $400/on average. The rest I spend on food, car insurance and medical bills ($3000 which i pay $25 to $100/mo when i can). I am asking for any help. If I don't get help my health will continue to decline. I will die within a year or two. I just starting gaining muscles back in my legs and arms I still have a long way to go. I need to get cardiac therapy to make my heart stronger. Thank you for even reading this because if you have then you are seeking to help people in need and you must have a wonderful heart. I have in recent years reached out to orphaned children in both Uganda and Mexico who needed me so I have no problems with asking for some help myself at this time.

After 3 years of back and forth with Social Security, I finally was approved for federal disability. Thankfully, I can move forward with testing and treatments to figure out what is causing the multiple symptoms disabling me. My sole desire is to get well enough to return to work in at least some capacity. Now I have some savings from back disability owed but not quite enough to finally purchase my own home. I am looking to purchase a modest home that is manageable for me in my condition. One that is safe and secure for me and my toy poodle who deserves something nice. Although I have enough for a decent down payment, my credit has suffered due to my inability to work. My medical bills went straight to my credit report as being unpaid while I waited for SSDI approval and Medicare approval. My credit score is below 600 and I cannot get a loan. I have $20,000 I can put toward my very first home ever. My goal is to get my $20,000 matched in order for me to purchase a small home/condo for approximately $40,000. My income is $955/mo and I still need to find suitable transportation also. My last vehicle was basically stolen by a predatory towing service and I was incapacitated at the time due to my disability and later was unable to afford retrieving the vehicle because of outrageous storage fees. Currently family members are taking me everywhere which can sometimes be more difficult than helpful. I A modest reliable vehicle is what I need. My individual goal is to become self sufficient and self reliant once again...get healthy and go back to work. Any help with the above items would be much appreciated. If I were in a better position I believe I too would be searching to help those in similar situations as mine.

I moved from ct to sc to help my sick mother thinking I could find a job in this small town but come to find out there is mo jobs here in this small town. You have to travel to the city to find a job and cant do that unless I have a car cant get money unless I have a job im stuck..... Please help
