I am a father of two young boys. we already are living without water and we have no food beyond this week. we walk across street to use restroom at a family members house, this is gracious enough as we have fallen on hard times and so have they. we, together, try our best to help each other but i have been without meaningful work since being laid off from a steel mill. i was a hard worker and went in sick or well to make sure my family had their needs met, when i lost my job it was devastating. i am 26 no degrees, some college level courses completed and have had only two jobs since i was 18. i have little to no work experience outside of the heavy industries which have fallen off sue to the slow economy. this makes me under qualified for most good paying jobs as i cannot work for min. wage and support my children along with my home. this has destroyed my six year marriage and left me penniless and sometimes homeless as my ex wife retains the home. she works near full time but only makes 9 dollars and hour driving bus for osu, not enough income to cover all the expenses without my help. i have moved back home to try to make amends to find that within 10 days we are to be removed from the house if i do not have $1,500.00 for non-payment of the mortgage. please if someone can help us as i am desperately looking for gainful employment, i want to work and am a good hearted christian man. if only a few kinds words to sway an employer to give me a chance, anything would be appreciated.

Hello our there for anyone really reading this. I am a married 22 year old with a two year old. I could really use some help do to everything. I'm in and out of doctors office constistly do to my thyroid being so large and slowly killing me. Do to all of my do to all of my doctors visits has put us really behind on bills. Both me and my husband work over 40 hrs a week but it doesn't seem to be enough. Im not sure this is something I want to do but im at the end of my rope. To sum it all up, I was laid off from my job in 2009, I lost my house in 2011, soon after, my wife left me for another man and took my child. I found a full time job Jan. 2012 for min wage, and also work pt mowing lawns. My fathers health has taken a turn for the worst and my mother has dementia, so I have moved in "to help" as well as try and get back on my feet. My wife and I are currently legally married and she has gotten engaged, and is living with my daughter and a strange man. Currently all the money I make goes to my lawyer (3800$ so far) because I havent seen my little one in over 4 months because her mother has fallen off the grid. I need to get this divorce and custody taken care of and get my daughter in a safer place. In the mean time my little truck has close to 200,000miles on it and it is falling apart, ill be lucky if it makes it another 6months. If I loose my truck ill loose the only full time job I was able to find and that just cant happen! I just need a reliable car, if anyone can help in any way, I would be beyond words. we are 21 and 25 we live together in a rented house with our dog. i work every hour of the day i can and my parter works 18 hours at the min in a job he really do like but it all helps. i would love us to be able to live life not just pull though it how we are at the min. he would love to pay to get his lgv licence as he has allready be told there is a job there for him if he gets it which would be alot better but every penny we have goes one bills we have tried every where to get help but because we work we dont fit the check list just seems you have to be out of work to get any help please help us we would be very great full for any help

I have been married for 2 1/2 years to an abusive drunk. I was a teacher in another state for 11 years and moved to Ohio to get married and start a new life. Almost immediately, I realized I had made a mistake. He drinks heavily and is verbally and physically abusive. I often find myself locked in a bedroom with our cat, who he also threatens to kill. I have slept in my car, in cheap hotels and on friend's couches.
I want to leave and go back to the state where I taught before moving here, but cannot afford it. I am in need of $1500 to buy a plane ticket and to help pay my bills until I can find a job.
I am currently working a min wage job and want can barely pay my bills (student loans, credit cards, insurance, living expenses)and can't afford to leave. I am desperate, scared and tired of living this way. I want out, but have no place to go and no money to do it and wouldn't be on here unless it was a last resort. I can provide a police report from when he was arrested for domestic violence if you want proof of my situation.
Please, if you can find any way to help me, I would be so grateful. When I get out, I would pay back by serving in the community I move to. I currently volunteer at our local cat shelter and would do that in my new city, as well as work in the soup kitchen and find other service opportunities. I believe in paying it forward.

Hello, my name is kimberly and i dont know where else to turn so i am posting on this website. I am a survivor of the joplin may 22nd tornado. I was working at walmart when we got a code black and we all went to the back of the store. We were all joking around not really thinking much about it. We never thought walmart would get hit. My brother called me and told me that there was a tornado in joplin and that it was big and not to panic. I still didnt think walmart could get taken down, we were in a busy populated area in the middle of the city. The power went off and i told my brother i had to get off the phone. It got pretty loud and sumone yelled that it was here. I looked up and seen the roof getting ripped off. Everyone then screamed and we got down on our knees and prayed. All i could do is pray to see my little boys again and my husband and the rest of my family. The winds were so fast and i was getting hit with all sorts of things and something was on my back and was very heavy and something hit me in the head. It got quiet and people thought it was over and i was yelling at everyone to stay down for a little while to ensure it was over. After about 5 minutes we got hit with the end of the tornado and was just holding on to whatever i could and telling everyone that i loved them, even if i didnt know them. We were very crammed together as some people were on top of each and there was zero moving room and we were getting heavily rained on and hailed on. I found a small hole to put my hand through so that hopefully someone would see it and help us out. After about 30 min sumone was able to help get me out and i started helping others get out as there were many injured and many children. I started ripping open blankets to give to people because we were all soaked, filthy and freezing. Once i finally got out of the store and to the parking lot, i was in shock. Everyones cars were on top of each other and crushed. And i looked around and everything was flattened for miles. I dont know how any of us survived because walmart was totaled where we were. I have dealt with alot of anxiety since then and am dreading spring this year. I would really like to raise money for a shelter to have peace of mind and to ensure my kids safety. I never want my familys safety. Going through this tornado has made me realize how important things are in life and to have fun with my family and to appreciate life. I am going back to school andd my car just broke down and we think its the cadillac converter which i cant afford. I also want to help my dad out. He is disabled and raising my 3 teenage brothers. He is hurting financially as well and i love to help him when i can. I have a new found look on life now and love my kids so much and im so happy i was able to go home to them. There were many people that didnt make it that day and that easily could have been me. There are many heros from that frightful day. I dont like asking for help but i didnt know where else to go. I appreciate the people that help out people like me. You are wonderful people and god bless. Anything at all would help me out at this time. I will start off by thanking you for your time to read this. I am having car problems and the bill to fix it is beyond my means. I have been laid off from a factory job and I am now working a min wage job. I am hitting the pavement trying to look for a better paying job but its getting hard without a car. The total bill is 751.36 to fix my head gasket and thats if the head is not cracked. I dont like to beg for money but my family needs your help. Again thanks for your time.

I have been an electronics engineer until two years ago when our company's continued down sizeing left me without a chair. While I actually am working its mostly min wage jobs and mostly under 40 hours. I have one daughter and my wife is now 5 months pregnant. We do manage to scrape some funds together to bring wife to her monthly check ups. However it is the cost of the delivery. Our debt is getting larger while our living expenses seem to grow. We have downsized our lives as best we could.

I realise some peoplemay consider it irresponsible; having another kid with our economic situation. This pregnacy comes a compleate surprise to everyone, wife, me and Dr. During the delivery of our first child my wife had some complications. There had been an emergency C-section perfromed. As result we got a beautiful healthy daughter, but there was a consequence. Basically the doctor told us my wife my not be able to get pregnate again. I mean the odds against was astromonical. Maybe you can say this new baby will be a miracle. Just a miracle during unfortunate times.

I have not worked in months. I had to leave
my last job because, It was standing 8 to 10 hours day and I just couldn't do it anymore. I was afaid of being fired so I took a med. leave hoping to find help somewhere to fix my problem. I am in need of a hip replacement. It is so bad now that I can't walk with out cruches anymore. The hosp. will give me a 40% discount because of my income. But I need 2,000.00 down and the dr. needs 1,000.00 down, then I can make payments after I get back to work. I really want to get back to work I have tried to find a job for the last 6 months with no luck. The min. IM A 39 YEAR OLD MAN, THE LAST TWO YEARS HAVE BEEN THE WORST. i do not remember ever feeling this low, i am scared, lonely, not secure with my financial situation WHEN I HAVE a job! much less now HAVING BEEN LAID OFF in january of this year-2011-NOW IM REALLY terrified. i havent been able to eat, get rest-proper sleep in a long,long time (over a year),afford food. i have been using the help of the food pantry's in my area, and that is because i havent the time to go to department of social services from 9-5, i MUST SEEK WORK! this is the most insane feeling, i think im about at the end of it-i can no longer say i can "HOLD ON". to WHAT? ive no family-a few "friends"-but not like the ones im used to from waaaay back. and those? families and lives of thier own, no time for me, just a "facebook-fakie" hello or request for this or that from me for game crap on there-get real. also, the small town i come from knows me as a liar (i was one), a theif,(was that as well and an addict.(rehab lst year has left me sober since December of last year-i feel great but am terrified daily of not being able to get enough $ together everyday so i do not hve to make it on the street, the cops here-RUTHLESS for CITY REVENUE. tie your shoes on the wrong day? ticket.when u cant pay it, warrant. cycle repeats.....
ive started seeking counciling and have even joined a support group. i was quiet until last year about what i am about to tell you here-and i am not game playing-saying this for sympathy-any of this...i said this out loud for the first time at 38 last year-my father molested me from the ages of 6 through 14, until i was big enough to fight him off, or threaten to hurt him if he touched me one MORE TIME.
he violently raped me, my face in the pillow, told me " this doent make you gay or anyting". i realize NOW, it was about control, this sick man, i have filed police reports in both the county where i used to have an apartment, and the county in which it occurred. nothing, and i mean nothing, has been done by the police, i keep calling and asking-to no avail-nothing gets to resolve.
as i work on the inner me, my life has slowly financially unraveled. my father has had sleep apnea forever, my mother died in 2007, in october, suddenly, and slept eveynight of my whole life with earplugs. i firmly tell myself she didnt know. i have to. PLEASE, HELP ME TO GET TOGETHER enough for a deposit, moving truck, first months rent. NO MORE THAN 2,500 IS WHAT I NEED. that would turn my living situation aroud, i am seeking to move where jobs are easier to obtain in the field in which i am trained-mechanic. here where i am, i cant get hired for this! why? others are willing to work for LESS than min wage, HOW AM I TO COMPETE WITH THAT?cant. no one can.

One year later and it was gone, A flood came into TN and damaged more than we could handle. I'd only had the car one year. The insurance I had did not cover it and fema only gave us 7,000 for everything.

I was young and stupid and managed to get myself into a total debt of $23,676 between college loans and credit cards. Over the past 26 months I have paid that down to $4123. I live paycheck and literally every dime I could find has gone towards paying this down. I have a strict budget now, and every cent that I don't need to physically survive goes to debt. That being said I haven't paid this much off simply buy cutting spending. I have sold everything I can...jewelry, clothes, you name it. Anything that could be returned to the stores has been. Unfortunatly, I'm at the point where I have nothing left to sell or return so I'm stuck making the min payment on cards with what's left of my paycheck each month. We need money for food and gas to take my youngest daughter to doctor's appointments. My husband and I are divorcing, but according to my attorney, it could take up to 2 years for him to be ordered to pay financial support. The earliest court date I could get is for May 26 - 4 months away. We have no money for food. I have a car that is paid for already, but I have no money for gas to take my youngest to all of her doctors appointments - she is developmentally disabled, and has seizures. She is seeing several specialists right now - having tests done to hopefully reach a diagnosis, and speech and physical therapies - 1 doctor is 30 min. away and the others are 1 1/2 hours away. Please help us. We just need a little help to pay for food and gas to get to doctors appointments for the next 4 months or so, until the court orders my soon to be ex husband to pay child support.
I am not just looking for a handout here - If someone out there is willing to loan us the money to survive until the court hears my divorce case, I will pay you back!

Short of it is this ,I work 10 to 12 hours a day for what turns out to be less than min. wage,because I spend $30 a day in gass. Thats $180 a week in gas.! I enjoy what I do its not that I dont ,its just real slow but I still have to be out all day .I have a sick wife that has been turned down for disability.(we are apealing right now) She has chronic lime disease. She had gone undiagnosed or mis-diagnosed for several years ,now its only able to be kept under control, never gotten rid of.The medicine is expensive , so are the doctors vists.
