I have been without running water in my home for about 18 months. I have a water bill of about $1000. I had a massive leak in my plumbling and got it fixed but by then the bill was too high.

This is my story from THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE to now May 23 2012.
I am 26 and live on a little island off the uk . when I was 19 I got a loan out to buy a car, the car cost was about £22,000 thats about ($34,546.6) this was the worst diction of my life about 6 months after buying the car, I found myself out of work and unable to pay back the payment, so the loan company that had been charging me for not paying back my debt had now with the charges taken the debt from £20,000 upto about £25,000 ($39,290) then took my car and auctioned it off for £5,000 about ($7,855) this took my debt down to £20,000 . At this point I realized the massive mistake I had made but noticing this didn't change the fact I was in debt and didn't know who I was going to get out. So I did the best I could and to worked and paid off what I could . I have now got my debt down to about £10,000 that is ($15,705) meaning in the last 7 years I have paid £17,000 ($26,710.4) for a car I don't have. I was getting paid about £11,500 ($18051.55) a year and living off about £9,000 a year for food rent/bills and anything else, the thing is i have just lost my job again because of cut backs and there is no work here at the moment so any help would be amazing. See when I was 19 I wanted to go to the USA and do a ski season or some seasonal work but now I want to do some volunteer work but with this debt I am stuck here . The worst part of this all to me is that when I think at I could be £17,000 ($26,710.4) richer had I not brought that car and could be living my dreams and helping other people instead I am stuck in a hole needing the help. If anybody does help me I will be very greatful and will be happy to return the favour in some way .

Im 35 have two kids. I, like many other single moms, worked and lived a normal quiet life with my kids. My exhusband threw us out the house almost six years ago with nothing. I worked hard to get an apartment and pay bills and care for my kids including putting them sports to keep them active. Everything worked out ok for all these years until my ex got married. He married into riches and now he wants the kids. Looking at his finances, he took me to court and sued me for full custody, without money for a lawyer I asked for court orderd attorney. That didnt work out for me and now Im having to pay 400.00 mthly for child support and get them every other weekends. I cant even get them to go to church with me cause my ex threw in that he didnt want religion in my kids. How a judge can do this, I dont understand. All this came down in Feb,2012. I cant pay for an apartment so I moved in with my mom in march, 2012. she as of May 2, 2012 had a massive heartattache. now Im out without anything. Because I moved out the way to live with my mom, I lost my job, cause it was too far and my mom was paying car notes on her car and it has to be returned to dealership. and no money for rent on her home and everything has hit me and Its more than I can bear. Please help me so I can get on my feet to atleast so I can get an apartment for me and my kids and and help get my job so I can pay my child support, most important. I pray everyday/nite for God to help me and I was praying tonight 5/15/2012, and I felt he led me here to this site for help. Thank you for help.

I feel that I have just about hit rock bottom. My parents are not in the situation where they can help me with my tuition. There is a hold on my account for $1,400. I'm not allowed to register for next semester's classes until I pay it.
If someone could help me out, with ANY amount, I would be so grateful! I will pay you back (I would have to make payments..but I estimate that I could have it paid back within about 5-6 months for sure). Please, someone save me! My husband passed away last month due to a congenital heart condition called Ebsteins Anomaly. Due to this heart defect, he was not able to get life insurance. He has spent the last two years in and out of the hospital incurring enormous bills. In August 2011, he had a massive open heart surgery to try to repair his tricuspid valve. It didn't work. He was on the list for a transplant but he didn't live long enough to get one. I am now saddled with thousands in medical bills, but more importantly, I have no money in the bank now. I am working but my salary pays the bills but not the mortgage, and I need help now. My payment is $890, so if you could help me out by donating $5 to me and enough people donate, hopefully I will be able to get it paid this month. I'm expecting some extra money in June, so it's just for this month that I need help. God bless you, this is very hard for me to ask for this, but I sincerely need the help now. Thank you.

I currently have $165,000 in student loan debt. I am out of school, and working as many jobs, side jobs, and gigs I can find to pay off this massive debt. It is very discouraging to have spent 5 hard years of my life becoming an educated individual, when I have nothing to show for it. I will be paying this debt off for over 25-30 years, by this time I will be 54 years old. I would love to be able to have a life before I turn 54... Owning a house someday would be a dream come true, but I'm not sure it will be since I already owe enough money for one.

P.S. These are private loans mainly, so I cannot go on income based repayments like I would be able to if they were federal. I did not receive any federal money or FAFSA money. I wish I could go on income based repayments, because life is very hard at the moment.

This is not a beg, this is a cry for help. I am 23 years old, with no kids and no vehicle. I have a good paying job where I make over $30,000 dollars a year working with special needs adolescent. I am in a massive amount of debt that I honestly placed myself in trying to clean up a debt that I already had but was manageable. I took out about 6 pay day loans, not all at once to pay of a bill I was short on and it continued to collect interest and build up and pull money out of my account to a point where I was over drafting my account at the same time and collecting a ridiculous amount of overdraft fees. It took me a month to pay it off and literally the next day the payday loan company's continued to pull out and set me back into overdraft so I'm at an enormous amount of negative now and left my apartment to someone else because I cannot manage. I left my apartment with nowhere to go and not even a car to sleep in and I just want to get rid of these payday loan people but it's quite impossible when they pull out my money every two weeks and it's not there because my bank has eaten it in overdraft fees. I'm stranded I'm desperate I have been thinking I the impossible just to get my hand on $4,700 to clear my situation so I can go back to life. I have been gambling as a result of this because at this point I feel I have nothing to lose. All I am holding on to is my good job. Im miserable and facing all types of depression and stress. I have been biting my lip out of anxiety til it bleeds and I have no one to go to. My enormous pride has let up tremendously through this experience which might have been Gods lesson and I try to be more grateful for what I do have however it's not many more sleepovers I can disguise as I have no where to go.
Please find it in your heart to help me please! I will do any good for this help I am in desperate need of it. I can't promise you I can pay you back right away but I am willing to do anything to get me out of this finacial nightmare.

Hello! Here's my story...

A few years ago, right after I returned from Iraq and got out of the Army, my wife filed for divorce and took our daughter to another State. I was left with the house and steadily increasing credit card debt as I tried to pay my bills and keep up with child support and alimony. Finally I couldn't do it anymore, and had to declare Chapter 13 bankruptcy. The bank forclosed on my home and the court assigned me a monthly bankruptcy payment. I've been able to stop the massive slide into deeper debt thanks to the bankruptcy, but am still barely keeping my head above water. Every month is still a struggle to make ends meet. I basically get two chances to see my daughter per year, one month in the summer and once at Christmas. Last Christmas I couldn't even afford a plane ticket to see my little girl, which really hurt, and I have no idea how I'm going to come up with the money to see her this summer.

I dont have a 2 page sob story to go with my 'beg'. My husband and I both work over 30 hours a week, pay our bills on time etc etc but have never been able to save for a house of our own. The house we are currently renting has a hot water system in the roof which leaks and floods my hall way, a massive crack in my baby girls wall which lets mosquitos and bees into her room so she cant sleep in there at all, an airconditioner which leaks water everywhere, no drinking water to the premises which we have to drive 15kms to get any, mice enjoying living here with us and crappy landlords who do nothing to help fix anything. We have tried to rent at least 10 other properties (the area we live in is not very large) all of which many other people have gotten in before us, so the only option left for us in order to get out of this house is to buy one, meaning we need a huge deposit that we just dont have and wont for a very long time. Our main priority every pay check is to pay our rent and bills and provide for our baby and saving for a house just isn't feasable after these are taken into consideration. Today was the worst I feel, it felt like I was on a boat at sea :(. The expense to replace them with labour costs is astronomical. I really don't have the money to foot this bill. The car isn't worth a lot and I thought it would be better and safer to buy another one given the constant repair bills. I have always driven it nicely and looked after it. The timing is not very good right now. In my part of the world cars are very expensive even for the most basic one. I don't need anything trendy just a car for the kids and I. I need it to commute 35 mins each way to work and be able to drop them off at school and daycare everyday. A road worthy vehicle like the one I have now (Toyota Camry Wagon) costs $3,500. For a few months I joined various on line opportunities that all promised to make me money but what happened instead was that I lost the last few hundred dollars I had on advertising which was intended to invite others to join. Unfortunately, it didn't work :(. Please, if there is anyone out there reading my story will you send just $1.00. I am going to the bank next week to find out about a loan but I am unlikely to get anything. I was driving my husbands other car but two weeks ago he had an accident resulting in his main car being written off. He has now had to take his car back. I was driving my husbands other car but two weeks ago he had an accident resulting in his main car being written off. He has now had to take his car back. We are currently separated and he is in debt a mile high. To anyone who would like to see proof of the repairs my wheels need I will be happy to supply them to you. I have nothing to hide at all and this is a genuine request for help with a car. I am sure to anyone this is a massive request and I'm sorry about that. I really want to get back on my own two feet. Along with starting a new job I am also studying on line as an external student of my local university. For now though a helping hand however big or small will have the impact to change our direction in life. Without a road worthy set of wheels getting to work will be a really big problem.

In return I am willing to offer an eternal friendship :) Who doesn't need a friend? I would also like to send a little present, something Australian to anyone who will help me out. I suppose as my start day gets closer the more anxious I am becoming. This car issue is causing a lot of worry :(. As things improve and I trust they will in time I want to help others on here too. To let you know a little more about us: A few Sunday's a term I lead the preschool kids Sunday School at my Church. I love it very much. Being a lone parent is not easy at all but I have come along way after battling a lot of health issues brought on by my husbands departure. I also give away any clothing my children have outgrown to anyone I know of that needs them. I also share anything I bake as long as it tastes good :). I try to live by being kind to everyone myself as one never knows what battle someone else may be facing.

My name is Lea all the way from Australia. I have 3 beautiful children that I am raising on my own. I am looking forward to starting work in 6 weeks time. The problem I have is with my car. It is 14 years old and runs fine sometimes. Last year I spent $1000 repairing an oil leak and a few other mechanical problems. Now though the shocks have given in and the car is not safe to drive any more :(. Today was the worst I feel, it felt like I was on a boat at sea :(. The expense to replace them with labour costs is astronomical. I really don't have the money to foot this bill. The car isn't worth a lot and I thought it would be better and safer to buy another one given the constant repair bills. I have always driven it nicely and looked after it. The timing is not very good right now. In my part of the world cars are very expensive even for the most basic one. I don't need anything trendy just a car for the kids and I. I need it to commute 35 mins each way to work and be able to drop them off at school and daycare everyday. A road worthy vehicle like the one I have now (Toyota Camry Wagon) costs $3,500. For a few months I joined various on line opportunities that all promised to make me money but what happened instead was that I lost the last few hundred dollars I had on advertising which was intended to invite others to join. Unfortunately, it didn't work :(. Please, if there is anyone out there reading my story will you send just $1.00. I am going to the bank next week to find out about a loan but I am unlikely to get anything. I thought of calling up some old boyfriends to say: "Things are looking pretty grim. We were young and lovely once. Now I'm haggard and broke and I can't pay the rent," but they'd think it was a crank call and hang up.

Like so many people here, I search for and apply to jobs non-stop (can you date job ads? I so, then I have some sort of beautiful-if-dysfunctional, long-term relationship with them), but, at the moment have bupkiss (Yiddish for "zilch.")

I was up for some jobs I didn't get, so have not been able to pay February's rent (which was due on the first). I'm not sure how I'll pay March, either.

If anyone would front me $1,500 (for at least February's rent), I'd give you a piece of my framed artwork which, who knows, might even go up in value one day? Let's hope. Massive thanks to all who've read this and to anyone who donates.
