Burial for a Vietnam Veteran

Posted by TeeMc on 2012-02-10 12:58:25

Please if you can help it would be greatly appreciated, In 2010 my twin brother passed away due too post traumatic problems he lived alone and no one knew that he had died in his sleep thus it took a while before his body was discovered his remains had to be cremated and ever since the funeral home in South Carolina send his ashes back to our hometown his ashes have been resting in a garage. I feel his remains deserves a proper burial at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC he had been awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. I would like to drive home this coming summer and take his ashes to Arlington but I need money for traveling expenses(Gas,Lodging and Food).

I'm a thirty year old working-class guy from Holland, so I'm sorry in advance if my English isn't all that! I've always worked hard for my own money, and eventhough it's been very little money at times I've always been reasonably happy.

My problem is that I've met the woman of my dreams in Australia, and have been working extra-hard to finance my trips to Australia in the last two years. We're in the process of lodging a Visa application for a de-facto relationship, so I'm doing everything I can to earn some money to make this happen, because all I want is to see my girl again before Christmas!

BUT!!

I've lost my job so I'm afraid I'm not going to make it this time! I've already found a new temporary job, but I can start at the beginning of November, which means I'll only have one month and maybe two weeks to raise money for that ticket! (Which is impossible when you're working for minimum wage!)

Hey, I've never begged for money in my entire life, but she's the first woman in my life and I'm very desperate now that we've been seperated for a couple of months, so I'll beg for love! I don't need thousands of Dollars or Euros people, I only need one ticket to Australia, so I'll be eternally grateful for any kind of help!

Oh, and I'm willing to repay all the people who might donate something, but I suppose you'll just have to trust me on that one if you're willing to? (Wether you believe me or not!)

I can't ever thank you enough if you're willing to help me out a little, and I hope you will!!!

:))

I'm no scammer, no illegal immigrant and yes, I'm really 100% Dutch. (And 100% broke!)

I want to thank you for reading from me and wish you a great day, regardless of wether you'll donate something or not. I know it's not going to be the end of the world if it doesn't happen, but it'll really make our days a *lot* brighter if we can spend Christmas together. (And the 3 months after Christmas!)

Thank you so much if you've decided to click the button! (You're really awesome and I'll definitely owe you one!)

Please bring me and the woman of my dreams together this year, because we've been seperated for 3,5 months now! (She's still in training so I can't expect her to pay anything!)

Please? Please? Please? Pretty please?

:))

Enjoy your day,

A.J. (Just a guy who isn't that bad.)

Need help to get to a new job across the country.

Posted by Rowan on 2011-06-24 14:58:40

This is a not a request for help to just travel the country and sight see or go on a cruise. I lost my job in November of last year. My Mother passed away from breast cancer and heart complications, I had to take sick days to see to her care and then for the final move to hospice. The company I worked for had strict attendance policies which I of course cannot blame them for or everyone would take advantage of it. I have been unable to find work since and not for lack of trying. I have finally had a job offer but as I live on the East Coast and the job is in the Pacific Northwest, I do not have the money to make a move like this in my current financial situation. I also need a little help to get a (cheap) truck so I can get there with my belongings. The job is on a horse farm and my "horse stuff" will not fit in my car, neither would my car make it that far (1991 Grand Marquis). My home is now in foreclosure and I just spent the last of my money to pay my electric bill.
I never thought I would have to resort to this type of desperate measure just to survive. I have the chance to start over with a great job, I just need to get there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any help I receive will be payed forward as my situation improves.
Upon request to those who have donated I will supply copies of all expenses incurred, i.e; gas, food, and lodging.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I'm not asking for much...

Posted by Faerie on 2011-05-27 00:58:20

so, it's rare when i ask for help... but i need help, very real help.

i have to be in salamanca, ny before june 21st...

the reason for my needing to be in salamanca is because i need to check in with my tribe, the seneca iroquois indians...

i've been obtaining annuities for my tribe all of my life, and the check-ins are a more recent requirement that they've asked for, mostly to know that i'm alive and that i am who i say i am and not some relative claiming to be me... and in order to continue receiving, i have to show up... i've tried to explain my situation to my parents and asking them for help, but all i get out of them about it is "well, you need to get out there so you can keep getting them" and "good luck with that"... which really gets me nowhere and put's me in a pickle.

after i do this check in, i shouldn't need to do something like this ever again, so what i'm asking for is money for gas and lodging... and i think $500 should be enough, if not more than enough, to cover the cost of gas, food and lodging, but i'm not asking for all of it at once... i just need to come up with that amount BEFORE the 21st of next month

believe it or not, when i was homeless i hated asking for spare change to feed myself... and i hate having to do this now, i really wish i didn't have to do this, but after this i intend on being more responsible about my money and not spending it on silly and unnecessary items. getting the $500.00 that i need for this very last minuet and unexpected trip would bring me such joy, and it would also allow me to put myself through a crash course of "real world financial responsibility 101", which is a "class that i would love to take at this point.... please help me get to my tribal destination.

:) thank you so much for your help and aid in my time of need.

Help needed for kids of disabled mom

Posted by sendthegirls on 2011-04-07 23:58:18

So I just putting my karma out there and swallowing my pride. That I would use a site like this would never have occured to me a year ago, yet here I am. I was diagnosed with psuedotumor cerebri and fibormyalgia and sometimes the sentence seems worse than death, except for my kids and husband. He works as hard as he can at a non profit group that I used to work for before my doctor disabled me. I am still waiting for Social Security to decide if I "deserve" th money I paid into that system for 24 years. Anyway, my kids give up so much for me. My daughter checks in the mornng to make sure I have taken my medicine and its just sad. Here is what I need, I will just tell it like it is. My daughter is a 4.0 student who excels at everything. Last year she was invited to attend a National Young Scholar Program in Washington DC and the leadership and things she learned were amazing. This is the ONE thing I don't want her to have to give up for me. This is not a summer camp but a class room setting. I can supply the website for the school. The tuition is 2000 for the school. I also would need maybe 2000 for travel and lodging. I can't be six hours away from her if she should need me or something were to happen to her. That is what I need and I am putting it out to the universe to help me. I feel like before I got sick I would help anyone who needed it and it was in my power. I have to believe that will come back to me. I can be reached at sendthegirls@yahoo.com if you think you can help. Even if many people helped a little, it should add up to achieve my goal. Thank you for any help you can provide and if I ever get my Social Security I will try to pass it forward. Thanks again.

Need money for medicines

Posted by cesari17 on 2011-03-24 17:58:43

I have high blood pressure and hypothyroidism, and I need medicines for them. I lost my job and I have to use my paltry unemployment benefits for shelter, so there's not enough money left over for medical needs. They are not too expensive, just $4.00 per prescription , but when I pay for my lodging, I have $0 left. Can someone help me, please?
Thanks

Money for travel to see friend graduate basic training

Posted by gracbwtz on 2010-12-27 20:58:58

I need about $500 to make my $650 goal to see a really good friend of mine graduate from basic training into the Air Force. The money would cover costs for gas and lodging.

Up until recently I had had the money saved up until I hit a deer on my way back to school one night, costing me $1700 in repairs. Now, I barely even have enough money to cover tuition for next semester, let alone even beginning to think about making the trek from South Dakota to Texas next month. It would really mean a lot to me to see him graduate and any help would be greatly appreciated!

CONTEMPLATING SUICIDE IF I DON'T GET BACK ON MY FEET

Posted by hassinali on 2010-09-30 03:58:58

I have 3 children depending on me. I am the only one working now and am heavily in debt with too many bills to foot alone every month. I am now in a suicidal mission. If I cannot receive the amount I need to pay I will probably jump off a building as I cannot face my children and tell them I have no money for their food, lodging and school fees let alone pocket money. Thank-you to all even if you can't help at least you read my story.

Hello,

I have never done before, but at this time I am in desperate need of your help. I have a reunion in Utah that I really want to go & is scheduled for July 2nd. There are some people I haven't seen in well over twenty years & this is something I really can't miss. I had to miss a huge one three years ago due to other circumstances at that time & I would feel really disappointed if I missed this one. My problem about the trip is I have no money coming in at this time & with being unemployed, it makes it harder for me to live by my own means. I really am in need of help at this time & any cash donation that you can give is greatly appreaciative at this time to help me for round trip airfare, lodging, & other things needed for the trip. With your help, you would be blessed greatly by giving generously to someone in need. You can send your donations in cash, check, or money order to:
Lief Rockne
14904 Burkey Street
Entiat, WA 98822-9600

Thank you so much for your time.
