I find myself embarrassed as I am typing this note. I am a mother of three boys who has been out of work for over 2 years. Every day I beg agencies for work, any type of work! I post my resume and apply for jobs every morning. I owe income tax money, college money, private school tuition, mortgage, gas and electric and the list goes on and on. I sell on eBay and try my b.set every day just to wake up depressed feeling like a failure. I have been abused for years and am loosing my mind. I know you may find this difficult to believe but this is a true story! Any help at all possible would be greatly appreciated!!!!! My kid brother is a 29 year old who is dieing from End Stage Kidney Decease. His Dr said the following:
that he is terminal, he needs help and I need help to provide for him as he has no income and can not work. He has been staying with me since just before Christmas(about three months after he was diagnosed), He spends most of his day dealing with hospitals and the nights going to dialysis treatments then back home. he is applying for SSI and SSD but still no word as of yet. In the mean time I need help to purchase the medical equipment his doctors have required him to have at home, also we need clothing for him as the last 3 clothing banks I have gone to near our home have had nothing his size. His diet is a dialectic renal diet and I can no longer afford to provide foods that meet it's stringent standards with out help. He dose not qualify for pre-SSI as he has no children. We have tried everything and now must resort to begging for help. We need a bed, bedding, a Fridge, clothing, activities(Batman themed), food, a new kidney would be nice. The list goes on, Please help If you can I can provide letters from his DR as proof.
This has put a strain on all of us both physically and emotionally But I love my kid brother our parents are dead so we have no one to turn to.

In 2007 I closed cafe & started looking for another IT job...no luck even for data entry or help desk (still looking but am told I don't have current skills & no money to get update/education). in a couple of weeks i will be homeless. after becoming unemployed two years ago i was living off money which i had from cashing in my retirement account. after taking a couple of months for leisure ( i hadn't had an actual vacation, aside from a long weekend here or there, for the past 12 years) i was in the beginning phase of starting a small business. then i had a heart attack. i had surgery to place a stent in one of my arteries. it seems that i was born with a twisted artery and had been living with it all my life suffering no ill effects. according to my doctor artery walls are fairly thin and pliable when one is young, but as a person ages the walls thicken and become less pliant. when you combine these two factors with the twist of the artery, the result is a cutoff of the flow of blood to the heart. my doctor said that had i waited another day to come into the hospital, i would have died. while the surgery left me weak, it was the anti-rejection medication that i was on which was the problem. it left me so tired and weak, that after a walk to and from the local bodega just two blocks from my apartment , after i walked in the door i had to lay the bags down and sit and rest for a half hour or more, before i could put groceries away or even thinking about standing up and preparing food. quite a change from when i was biking 5 miles a day/ five days a week and lifting weights several times a week. my bank account was swiftly drained due to the cost of the hospital stay/surgery, and to the cost of medications ($130/month).
once i was off the anti-rejection meds and feeling well enough to work, i began searching for a job seeing as my hope of starting a business drained away with the money in my bank account. but unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, i have been unsuccessful in my search. i am now virtually penniless and am being evicted from my apartment. i am have sold off what few possessions i have in order to have some cash to buy the things i need for living on the streets, but the accumulated amount came to less than $100.

My name is Nick and my family is having an incredible amount of problems. In late august last year we lost our house. My father left us a few years ago so its me (19), my sister (20), my mother, and my little sister (8). For months after my family stayed at a Days Inn trying to get back on track but it was a failure. No matter what we did we couldn't get out of our slump. Because of this we were forced to move into our cousins house in Brooklyn in late October to help catch up. This was bad because my sister and I work and go to college in New Jersey and my little sister goes to school there too so we were forced to drive back and forth every day. My mother works with the Board of ED in the city so it wasn't that bad. My cousins are truly terrible people for they non-stop pestered when we would be leaving and basically kicked us out a week before christmas because and I quote "they needed room to put up their tree". After we went back to New Jersey and stayed at a hotel in point pleasant which is where we are now. With much trying and hard work my mother fixed up her credit and we are now much closer to buying a house. We found the perfect one however we have no money for the initial 1,000 because we need to pay to stay at the hotel and my hours have been cut bad. On top of the at the end of May the rates for the hotel go up to 200 a night. My mother is beginning to think maybe we shouldn't be doing this now but know if we don't then we wont ever move forward. We have had the worst luck with bills, no home of our own, and our family has turned their backs on us with living with us and helping us out financially. I have no idea what to do anymore. Please I am in desperate need of help. I just need to give my family the lucky break we need in order to continue with whats right. Please help me with this, I beg of you. We have had too many people turn their backs on us, don't add to that list.
