I am a 43 year old woman who is married to a 43 year old man. We both moved to Miami Florida and thought that our lives were about to become better. I went to school for cosmetology, and my husband found a great job in Customer Service with the Visa company. Now one and a half years later we are about to lose everything we have tried to work so hard for. I have finished school and I have obtained my cosmetology license. And I have searched for a job ever since. Unfortunately for me I have found out that Miami is a city where you cannot find a decent place to work without speaking spanish, and that most places they speak only spanish so i cannot find a job yet. My husband just lost his job last month and now we are behind in all of our bills. Our rental agreement states that we can be evicted after the 10th of the month if rent is not paid and we are now going on the second month because my landlord has seen that we have always been good with paying rent. But noone can live for free and now she has told us that if we do not pay rent this week she will have to evict. If there is anything anyone can do to help even 5 dollars we would greatly appreciate it.

I recently started a relationship with a nice guy that has helped me financially, even though he has no obligation with me (20) and my daughter (4). As a college student I have been struggling financially but with his help I was doing better. Unfortunately, he has not been able to work because his truck was stolen and dismantled. We filed a stolen report but when they found the truck it was too late. Then we used all the savings we had to buy a cheap car just to move around. Unfortunately the car was taken away by the police because my boyfriend has no license and well his not able to get a license. For the past months we have struggled a lot because we have no method of transportation but the worst part is that his not able to work as much because he has no truck or car. What is left of the truck is in the junk yard and the car is still in the impound because we cannot afford to take it out. I am desperate to ask for help because we are running out of money, I have 1000 left in the bank and we only have about 200 coming in every two weeks. If we do the math we won’t make it until I receive my next financial aid in Sept. That’s four month that we have to pay bills, which sum: rent, student loan, credit cards, gas & electricity, food, phone & internet and more, 435+90+65+65+65+65+90+20+20= 915 x 4 months = 3660. Please help us pass this rough patch, so I can keep my small family and continue my education.

The contents and purpose of this letter have caused any pride I might have had to disappear and the level of embarrassment and shame that I am feeling, even as I write this small introduction to grow beyond compare with something I NEVER want to feel again in my life.

I will make an honest attempt at keeping it quick and to the point, since you know how I can get to rambling on forever about nothing. I am going to start with the immediate and EXTREMELY URGENT situation at hand with prior situations that have created a situation that I cannot handle alone.

3 or so weeks ago….
I was pulled over for my front license plate and registration being expired (had only recent got the vehicle back) I was personally searched 3 times... my car was loaded to capacity, and I said I would rather them not search it, due to it contents and the time and energy spent loading it. He said he would call k-9. I had no problem with this. The dogs were 2 hrs away and apparently this cop was set on this, so he tells me, “im going to search your car” so the car was searched extensively and illegally by 3 officers while I was told I had to sit in the officers back seat, locked, of course.... as expected, there was nothing found anywhere in my car by 3 police over the course of a few hours.... Keep in mind, i was searched three times before being placed in his car.... wearing a bathing suit..

They let me go, and told me I could load my car back up.... then, for some reason....the initial officer removed the lower portion of his back seat???. Found something (controlled substance, less than a gram, schedule 1) that i have yet to be informed as to what it was…. Screamed to put my hands behind my back, confusing, arresting and humiliating me.

Have spent money that I could not spare to get out of jail, get my car back and wasted close to a week of my life.

One level 3 tampering with evidence… (Claiming that I put the controlled substance in the back seat)

The other, possession of a controlled substance, less that a gram level 1….. is a state felony and brings similar time and money



There is a camera in the back of this officer’s car as well as one on the small building at which the incident happened…
Its all on video, and the lawyers i have talked to have assured me that this is an easy one, “wont be a problem” and it’s a “no brainer”.

But given the circumstances leading up to and surrounding these ridiculous legal charges I cannot obtain the services of these lawyers since I am unable to afford what they are asking. Was told if I could bond myself out, then I couldn’t have a public defender, and even if that isn’t true, I wouldn’t want one simply due to the fact that I am not prepared to settle or accept a plea bargain for something that is going to ruin me.

Court is TOMORROW, the 10TH

Like I said… this is the most embarrassing and shameful thing I have had to face.


Please help my family and i. This is injust, I am scared, don’t know what to do and I cannot take it.

They are asking for 8k, and 1/2 down...

Thursday, may 10... TOMORROW, i will go from a normal, once succesful person who fell on hard times to an animal in a prison cell.

Please please please. I will do whatever it takes to pay you back. Interest, labor, ANYTHING.. i will just need a bit of time to get through this situation and i will focus on repaying

I am a Registered nurse who was injured on the job more than three years ago, I was on long term disability through the hosptial as they cannot fix the injury and I have permanent restrictions placed upon my license and cannot lift more than 10 lbs no one not even a physcians office will hire me, I found a job six months ago and started working again and as of last week found out they are closing the company on Monday, my husbands truck broke down and we had just started getting things taken care of now my landlord is upset because we are a week late on rent and we are trying to buy the house on contract. She is threatening to take us to court over not paying the rent on time. My husband and I always try to help those in need and could really use the help now we have three children 17-10 and I know I do not have a really sad story to tell but I am just a frustrated nurse who needs a little help to get back on her feet. Well, "escaped" would probably be a better term for it - my mom is very emotionally, psychologically, and verbally abusive, and she used a lot of things of that nature against me to keep me from leaving her. For the longest time, I thought my life was normal, but when I became 20, I realized that things in my life were far from that. I have been planning this jump for years, and I finally managed to do it. I literally had to wait until she was at work before I could get my things and move in with my friend. As of now, I am seeking employment of my own (I worked with my mother before, which is obviously out of the question now), and I am struggling with a lot of different financial situations. My vehicle is very old and the license plates are expired, and I have no money to update or repair them. I have two traffic tickets due for them by the end of April, and I am very worried about it. I am a single mom, with a disabled child. I was hit with a double surprise last month in the loss of 2 of our social security checks. I had intended to pay the past due water bill last month, but this situation threw a monkey wrench into an already precarious situation. According to social security, we lost the checks because my son turned 16. These agencies never pre-warn you, and if they even attempt to notify you, they send multiple conflicting information, which is not clear on what they are doing.
Because the water has been turned off, and the bill finalized, I now have to pay a total of 343 in order to have the service restored. The utilities company contacted my landlord, who has issued a 7 day notice to me because the lease says that I cannot have the utilities turned off for any reason.
I trust God, and I know He will come through for me somehow, because He's never failed me, but I am getting a bit concerned, as I have exhausted all options. God usually moves very strongly when that happens, so when I saw this site, I figured I'd try it, because you never know what direction He will move from.
The local assistance agency says they can see the loss of income that created this emergency, but want me to provide proof of income replacement in order to get the assistance; which I cannot yet do as I am still unemployed and seeking work.
It's amazing to me; the timing of this. After being forced to wait almost an entire year, due to lack of finances; to take my licensing exam and pay for my license to work, I chose to sacrifice a bit on the bill in order to do this, because I cannot work without the license. I did the right thing, and did not break the law in violating that rule, but waited until I could get my license to practice massage therapy. Now, I am facing the loss of our home. Even if I attempt to set up advertising, the arrangement will take more than 7 days to set up the deals and get the clientele in, and I won't get paid until the clientele have redeemed their deals. My license just arrived, and the doctor that was going to hire me, has "changed the direction of his business." In 2008 I got in a car accident in Texas. It was my fault but there were no serious injuries and I had insurance, but I received several tickets. Like not yielding to the right of way, expired license, no inspection, no registration and no seatbelt. A month later my brother committed suicide after long and hard battle against drug addiction. Then another month later my Father past away from a drug related illness. Then two months later I was laid off from my job. Then that same month my car cracked a head. That year was the lowest I have ever been in my life. I just wanted to disappear. I tried to end it but just couldn’t go through with it. So instead of that and instead of facing everything I just ran. Not the smartest thing I know, but I had just lost it. I left my family and friends and I'm not really sure why. I ended up in a small farming town in Arkansas. It was long and hard but I turned my life around. Meet a great guy and got a pretty good job too. It does not pay much but I have enough to pay my bills. Last week I was driving home from work when a state Arkansas trooper pulled me over. I found out my license was suspended in Texas. I called to find out how I could take care of it and I found it was not that big of a deal if I had over $2000.00. I really need some help. It might as well be $2,000,000.00. I don’t have that kind of money. Yes I can set up a payment plan but by the time I’m done paying it off I will have lost my job, because the county it’s in will not lift the hold on my license till its paid in full. I'm 22 years old and I lost my bar job last week, after my Guvnor decided he needs to save money and is going to be working behind the bar more often himself.
I've been studying for courses and doing volunteer work, gaining experience and trying to put myself in a better position to get a better paid, regular job.

I've been doing driving lessons since November and I booked my test for early March, so this has come at the worst time. I have enough money for another 3 lessons between now and then but I really want to be as best prepared as I can, and I need another £60 for the day to cover the cost of using the car on the day.
