I have graduated in April 2008 with a Bachelor Degree in Human Biology. I worked in the Healthcare Industry for several years. I am currently unemployed sine my company went bankrupt and can not find a job that pays decent so I can make my student loan payments that are $670 per month and support my family. I have $58,000 in student loan debt the original balance was around 40,000 but I had to stop making payments until last year because I could not make a living at all with a $12/hr job to pay for mortgage and other living expenses. Sallie Mae is just saying that they can not do anything about it the only thing I can do is pay interest only and reduce my payment by like $200 and that is for 30 years. Please help me get out of this burden sometimes I ask myself why I ever went to school and if it was really worth it all because some of my friends that have no school are doing better than I am. I guess that is they way you live the American Dream!! This is just crazy that there is no law that protects students when they are in situations like this especially in a economic crisis. Please, I really want to be able to save my marriage, house and be able to provide for my daugther. If anyone is reading this and is willing to donate I would really appreciate anything you give. Also I understand that there are much worse situations out there and people in a greater need of help that is also understandable however I will end up on the street and my loan will go int default if I can not make the payment and I dont think it can get worse than that as far as student loans are concerned and Financial problems. Me my sister and she husband live in rented house, where we share expenses. Recently we found out that my brother in law (my sister’s husband) is dieing of lung cancer . at this point treatment is not an option .all that can be done is keep him as comfortable as is possible until the end .which will not be long from what I am seeing, dr told us it a matter of days now. when he finally goes this will leave a problem . we split the expenses and with out his help I and my sister will not have the money to keep a roof over our heads . so I am posting this to get raise funds to help pays the bills and hopefully keep a roof over my and my sisters head. plus pay the costs of the funeral .

All was well just a year ago. I had a good paying job, a beginning side business, and a blessed life. I left my job to move 2000 miles so my wife and I could care for her mother. I used my savings to rent a home for us and paid months in advance to cover us while I looked for work.
I have been unable to find work, my mother-in-law passed, my wife was diagnosed with cancer and we no longer had good health coverage, and my savings ran out. My small side business can only provide enough to cover the basics and since there is nothing left over, it cannot grow. We are 3-4 months behind our bills and all are getting impatient. The medical care my wife needs is about to end if I can’t make a payment in the next few days.
I am a disabled veteran of Desert Storm and am limited with some of the work I can find. It has been a struggle to try to stay positive and hopeful this past year. The same banks offering loans when times were good are denying any assistance now that times are bad. I pray daily for a change.
As I started in this letter, I need prayer and help.
I know God hears me and has a plan for me and even in our circumstances, I never doubt His love for me. I just need more voices to reach out and let Him know I need Him more than ever at this moment.

I just completed my legal studies and I would like to sit for the July Bar. After taking out a six figure debt, I am unable to get a loan to cover the cost of taking the bar in July. The reason I have been refused a private loan is because of my high student loan balance(ironically)

I am not a lazy person and I have worked my entire way through law school to help support my family and pay my bills. Now I feel helpless as I struggle to move onto the next phase of my life. $1500 would make all the difference in the world to me right now. .

I am a 36 year old single mother of two awesome teenagers and I'm trying to fulfill a life long dream by going back to school.

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be an archaeologist and history professor as well as wanting to move to Norway since first reading the Prose Edda at the age of 11. Unfortunately those dreams got put on hold when I had my first child at the age of 19 and my second at 21. My children are now 15 and 17 and about to go off to university and begin their own lives and so it is time for me to revisit my dreams. This is going to consist of 3 steps each of wish I need help funding as I do not qualify for student loans/grants and cannot afford to quit my job to be elligible.

As the first step in this process I have been accepted to the University of Leicester to begin work on my BA in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology and am scheduled to begin classes on June 4th 2012 via distance education. In total the 3 year course will cost £10,350 with £1150 installments due every January, May and September 1st. Along with this one module requires me to go to England in year 2 for field school at Borrough Hill as well as a second trip over in year 3 for lab work. There is also an option to make a third trip for the graduation ceremony if funding allows. Each of these trips will cost roughly $2500 - $3000.

The second step in this plan is to complete a Master's degree in Nordic Viking and Medievil Studies at the University of Oslo in Norway. At this time UiO does not have tuition fees however they do require that international students have NOK 80,000 (roughly $13,500) per year of study. And Norwegian law prevents international students outside the EU from working while persuing their studies.

Finally the third step in the process much like the second involves doing further studies at UiO in the form of persuing a PhD in a topic related to Viking Metallurgy.

I have already taken steps to start covering costs on my own by working as much overtime as I can get (though this option is going to be limited once school starts as I will need to focus on school work) as well as moving from the house I was renting to a smaller, cheaper apartment with a roomate to cut costs. Unfortunately these measures alone aren't going to be enough to get me there. Any help you could give would be very much appreciated.

Have been a great nurse for 36 years, now unemployed and have not found a job. Certainly did not think the job problem would affect nursing. I know God has a plan for me, and hope for a sign/guidance soon. My savings are almost gone to pay bills/mortgage. Don't get me wrong, I am so blessed in many ways. Am trying not to worry, but have no health insurance, all my savings will be gone in a month and I don't know what to do. Am trying to be positive, since being out of work allows me to help my future mother in law (she is 94)My fiance and I are trying to keep feeding a colony of cats, some ferel, but some have become very loving and they all look forward to our daily visits, and the food we bring. Any help would be so appreciated. Hopefully I will be able to get work soon and be able to help others.

I need help because I am losing my home. I made a bad mistake and took some very bad legal advise from a scamming law firm and now I am losing my home and I am scared to death because I have no way to even rent a home because of my bad credit. and to top it all I am getting audited by the IRS. how much more can I take? I have a sister who wishes to study law in Netherlands. I got a place for her and I now wish to raise money to pay her fees. I was hoping to secure funding for her first two years of education for tuition and for accommodation and afterwards I would have finished my own degree and I believe I would be financially sound to pay for her.

I have been hallucinating(hearing voices) for ten years now and am diagnosed with psychosis, I receive benefits for weekly costs, food, rent etc. but never have anything left over as smoking helps reduce these hallucinations I have been advised by doctors not to quit!! I smoke 40 a day which in the UK costs alot!. There are no charities that deal with my rarish condition that help finacially I am on medication which is likely to one day give me a stroke. I would like any money to help me take part in life more. I would like to go abroad, drive a car, meet a partner even( my benefits are reduced alot if I live with someone :/....) I am 28 years old and I have a 21month old. My child's father got into trouble with the law and instead of serving time he fled the country. I cannot file for child support since he doesn't live or work here. He doesnt send me money or anything. I applied fur child care assistance and I make too much money. By the time I pay for rent ($810), diapers, food, gas, utilities, and my car payment I have nothing left for daycare for my child. I had a friend helping me but she was a horrible mother to her kids and I don't want my kid in that environment. oregon state law are too extreme for are youth.... they face sever consequences for any viloent crimes even sending them to state penitentiary @ age 15! we all get in fights or hang with the wrong crowd of friends in our youth. But they should given the chance to rehabilate them. Like boot camp, out door camp and other great programs ect. my nephew is only 14 and was in fight with older piers and one youth was stabb by another. We had our son and his 3 kids living with us after he was in a car accident and lost his job. Then my mom moved in with us who was not able to care for herself and then my mother in law was diagnosed with alzheimers and we were responsible for her and taking care of her. Then my husband had a heart attack, the following year he had to have quad by pass surgery. he was the only one working.. we got behind on our mortgage and now we need $6000 to pay an attorney and to pay another attorney so he does not attach my husbands pay at 225 week.

I am in a bind.I am a disabled immigrant from the Philippines.My Green Card expired about one year ago. I renewed it last August 2011,but I have yet to receive it in the mail.As a result,outside of doing Avon,I am unable to work legally here until my permanent Green Card arrives.My common-law husband,coveniently decided after 16 years of being together,he throws me out of our apartment this past Apr.1st.The reason I am asking for rent money for at least 3 months,I am eagerly hoping that my Avon business will prosper in that time frame.I am expecting the green card within this time frame.I am in a very temporary living arrangement.I can only remain here until the last day in May 2012. Greetings, Me and my family are farmers located in one of the most remote and rugged regions of Himalayas in India where there are no access to roads or transportations. Our home and fields are situated over the mountain approx. 3500 feet above sea level where the weather is unpredictable which makes farming very hard and life unbearable. All the farm work is done manually by hand by the members of my family. We normally grow garlic in small quantities which we sell to sustain the family for a whole year. As there are no access to roads we have to carry the loads on our backs at times 50 to 80 KG to access the nearest road which is couple of hours down the mountain and is a back breaking process. Even to get small food items we have to be going through this exercise everyday for our survival. Our everyday diet consist of five or six rotis (wheat flour and water mixed and roasted like a pancake) with mostly dal (gravy made out of pulse) with occasional rice two times a day. At times we collect wild vegetables from nearby forest to supplement our diet. Because of lack of nutrition our health conditions also suffer many times in a year. Here even today babies are born in the house. Birth is supervised by one of the older village woman as there are no doctors or any qualified medical people. In cases of emergency we have to carry the patient on our back to the road and any medical attention can be gotten 15 kms further down the road. This has resulted in many deaths in past years with young and old.
Since last two years due to changing weather conditions and untimely rainfall our fields could not yield crops properly. We are poor farmers just scrapping through life trying to stay alive. Added to these problems last year three of my family members one of whom is a six month old baby had deteriorating health conditions which needed hospitalisation and medicines which cost us major portion of the money we could earn by selling our crop. Normally we earn about 50,000 INR in a year by selling garlic and we grow small quantities of wheat and corn enough to keep the family through the year. Due to these sufferings and extra expenditure am now in great distress to be even able to buy seeds to grow crop in our field to sustain ourselves. To have one morsel of food has become a nightmare for all of us and we are nine members in the family with two small babies of 8 months and two years. The future of our survival looks very bleak given the conditions and lack of health and finance to tend the field.
I would be highly grateful if your goodselves would consider me and my family a worthy cause to extend your help to us with 5000 USD which I can use to buy necessary seeds for the crops, few essential medications, a mule for transportation, fix the leaking roof of our home, do little maintenance to our field for yielding more crop and get me, my family andour field back on track as our field is the only source of our survival. My family consist of myself, my sick wife, two sons and two daughters, 2 small babies and a daughter in law. We have fallen hard, hit rock bottom! Financially we are drowning with no sight of rescue. My husband and I have been paying of his debt which he incurred at a very young age. His father, who worked in finance GUIDED him into applying for ridiculous amounts of debt. And this in turn has meant that now 7 years later we are still paying off his debts. We have been blessed with three beautiful children but that's where our luck stops. My husband is one of four children all of which have received financial help from their families, my sister-in-law, my husbands younger sister and her fiancee live at home with her mother so they can save for their wedding and a house deposit. Yet here we are, drowning in debt and can not get any help from any of our families! It's very depressing to see family members achieve dreams because they are getting generous donations from their family and you're the only one missing out!!!
We are just needing a hand up not a hand out!
We only $20000 to go and after a lot of self sacrifice, juggling three jobs between us, studying, raising three very young children and moving out of Sydney, away from family and friends to save money, we still have a long way to go! And it's the interest that's killing us!
To make matters worse, at the beginning of the week I was involved in a car accident. A four car pile up, with my car being the third car and the only car to be so badly damaged that I now cannot drive it. I had no insurance, as when we were living in Sydney we truly could not afford it. So now we are left without a car and the added debt of having to pay fir the car in front of me to be repaired.
We have no luck and could really use a break and to live a simple, uncomplicated life.

So I propose to you that if there are 2000 who would be willing to LEND us $10, when the time comes and you need the $10 back we will return it! No loss to you but a great gift and help to us.

My name is Michael and I currently live in a motor-home in my mother-in-law's backyard. I know they are getting tired of my girlfriend and myself living here and taking up half of their backyard. Truth be told, I would love to move out of this over-sized shoe box that I live in.

I used to be the Assistant Manager at Little Caesar's here in town, but the owner is selfish, sexist, and overall a terrible person to be acquainted with. He fired me because I posted a sign asking people to call ahead for LARGE pizza orders (I.E. 3 or more pizzas) because Pizza Hut just opened up across the street and business sky-rocketed. It was impossible to keep up with the sales because they only allowed me to work with 1 other person during the busiest part of the day. I needed at least 2 more people just to stay ahead of the demand.

After the incident at LC, I applied for and got a job at a local restaurant. However, the management there has been screwing around with my schedule. Constantly changing it without notifying me. I wouldn't mind normally, but since they only let me work 1 day a week, I never know when the schedule gets changed and I can't even afford gas to get to work on the days that I'm scheduled.

I've exhausted all my options. I've been living in this motor-home for almost 2 years now and it's starting to get to me. If there are any kind souls out there, I could really use some help... My relationship is falling apart with my girlfriend. My boss has been promising to give me more hours since I started working there last year... I still only work 1 day a week though :-(

I'm not sure where to even begin. In the last year we have hit many of bumps in our road. We were rear ended in Oct 2011 after my fiancee lost his job due to a surgery on his shoulder. We then were forced to take the very small insurance check to move into a small one bedroom apartment from a lovely house we lived in. Due to eviction because of loss of job and car. I unfortunately haven't been much help, I've been disabled since May 2011 with chronic back pain, and am currently recovering from a gallbladder removal surgery. I'm fighting for disability with no luck, and due to insurance laws (the type we had) didnt cover much of anything. We are struggling to keep our heads above water right now, and it doesn't help that we just got hit with a water bill we didn't expect. For like 300 dollars, If you can help in any way we would really appreciate it.. and promise to pay it forward once we are back on our feet. Hi everyone. My name is Denise I am 65 years old and a disabled veteran. I am from Springfield, Missouri. I have problems with my knees, legs, back and even though I can not get around easily, I am on a cane. I also suffer from severe depression, migraines and flash backs from war, I am very forgetful among other things. I had to move in with my son and daughter in law because I can not live alone or take care of myself. I have also had a triple bypass and have two brain tumors. What brings me here today is last night my chair broke. When i sit in it i start to sink down in the middle and I can't let my legs up. My son and his wife can not afford to get me a new chair. I have been watching Craigslist for one but I am having no luck at all. Having a comfortable recliner to rest in would mean the world to me. I am a stay at home mom with 3 boys 9, 7 and 2. They are the only reason i am still going strong.

I live with my husband, 3 boys and my 2 elderly in laws. We live in a wooden and brick 50 year old house. Just a few months ago it was leaking in so many places untill the charity department replaced part of our roof. We have rats running around at night and mosquito all day and night. I am raising my children in this situation and it breaks my heart everyday. they are simply not safe!!!!

Disease is a huge concern... And occasionally snakes....

Anybody with a hammer can simply break the wooden walls. Easily...

And my husband has been laid off in 2008 without any given compensation. We are still claiming it in court. it was suppose to help us for the next few months or maybe start a small business of some sort. But on the last day of work they came and told us that they refuse to pay when they PROMISED to 2 months prior. We were utterly shocked and unprepared!!!!

We've always had a lot of money troubles but this still effect us to this very day.

My husband has been in and out of jobs since then....

Begging and borrowing, not paying our bills...

Our debt has grown to about $20,000usd.
We simply couldnt make ends meet for years...

We couldnt start anything new to make money...
There is none to spare.. no more to save..........

We couldnt move on... we couldnt do anything new... We are trapped.... stuck!

And i couldn't work.. I have to take care of my boys and my 2 elderly inlaws..

I have deppression. I have a memory of a sixty year old and i am only 36, and i am also a borderline agarophobic...

Its hard to get out of bed and do anything and i've been homebound for the last 10 years.. Most days i feel numb...

We are so miserable... My husband and i would fight a lot from money issues sorrounding our lives eventhough we love each other dearly...

A good amount to have a month is at least $800usd and we have never made that much.

Living expenses skyrocket day by day...

Everything seems so illusive..

What we need is to start a business of some sort to put together a better future..

Our children are growing up.. Today it takes about $70,000 usd per child to go to college.. I have 3...And it will surely be a lot more when they are going to college later..

I dont see how we are going to pull through if we dont find our way now....

And so i would like to request for another $20,000 usd plus the $20,000 to pay for our debt so that i can make it through all this and start a business to secure the future for my family....

Please please help us... You would help 7 souls... And you would make us very very happy for a long time to come...

Again i humbly ask for your help... Please help us by giving us a better chance for our future.... Please strongly consider my request... For the sake of our childrens future...

I am a stay at home mom with 3 boys 9, 7 and 2. They are the only reason i am still going strong.

I live with my husband, 3 boys and my 2 elderly in laws. We live in a wooden and brick 50 year old house. Just a few months ago it was leaking in so many places untill the charity department replaced part of our roof. We have rats running around at night and mosquito all day and night. I am raising my children in this situation and it breaks my heart everyday. they are simply not safe!!!!

Disease is a huge concern... And occasionally snakes....

Anybody with a hammer can simply break the wooden walls. Easily...

I want to start something special. I want to start a "pay it forward" kind of collaborative for homeowners that are in trouble. I lost my home 3 years ago and have been saving homes ever since. I have worked to shady loan mod companies but now work for a great law firm stopping sale dates and negotiating with lenders all day. I love it. I would like to begin with a website and blog with real life experiences and answers.
