I'm on bended knee asking for a very small sum of money, $5.00. I work as a produce assistant at a grocery store. I drive an older car with terrible gas mileage.

I'm in need $5.00 so I can buy enough gas to get to work in the morning. Once I'm there, I can pick up my pay and buy gas for the ride home.

I would be so appreciative if someone could just provide me with a few dollars to put gas in my car.

This is my last chance, if I'm unable to show to work again, I will lose my job. I've never missed work for any reason other than not having the funds for gasoline.

Anything you can spare will be forever remembered and I will pay it forward.

My job does not offer short term disability insurance and I already used my sick/vacation time up on the last surgery. I currently cant work more than 2 hours at a time so I really need to get this surgery ASAP. Im looking for any donations that I can get to help with every day expenses. I do have health insurance that will pay most of the surgery but im worried about how my family will survive when Im off 6 to 8 weeks or longer. Really starting to stress out over it. Hello, Thank you for reading my post for help. My wife and I and our three small daughters (feline) are going to be evicted from our apartment in 4 days. We got behind in rent due to numerous awful things happening.I lost my job due to "economic reasons" according to the company. They closed the entire office down because what I was told is that they didn't want to renew the lease on the building. After that I had hip surgery ( total hip replacement) and am recovering. You see my wife and I were in a bad car accident 3 months after we got married. My hip was broken in 3 places as well as other injuries, and my wife broke her left ankle and her knee caps were crushed by the steering wheel. She is going to have ankle reconstruction surgery very soon, and I am going back to work. I have resumes and applications out and expect an interview from 2 places next week. We have no place to go and are just trying to get caught up and back on our feet. If anyone can help, God bless you and we will pay it forward, you can be sure of that! Hello my name is Richard and I hurt my lower back at the gym. I was married and have 2 sons and I also had a house. Now after 4 years on Disability I am just getting by. 4 years ago I had to have a 3 level back fusion surgery, so I went into Boston to have it done and within months I knew something was wrong. So I went to PT and did what I was told after the about 9 months the Doctor said that the fusion was not healing so he had to go back in again. So this is number 2-3 level fusion surgery and when I got out of the Hospital I find out that my wife of 19 years was leaving me, so we go to court with the attorneys and get a Divorce and I lost my house and 2 sons, I had to move. At that time I had a nice house in Mass. So I just packed up what I had and moved to NH where I live now. Now as time went by my back was stilling doing no better, so I went to PT and then my Disability kicked in thank god because I had gone through my 401K by then just to keep a roof over my head and as luck would have it my back feel apart in other areas, so the Doctor said he needed to go in and fix it all now. So I had my 3-3 level back fusion in 3 years, so I went to PT were I hurt my knee and they had to do a total replacement, I asked myself when will this stop and I have thought about taking my own life. I went into some counseling and here it is 4 years later and my back has falling apart again, so I have to see the Doctor this month. It just sucks when you live in so much pain every day and people that have never hurt their backs have no Idea. So I am happy that I found this site because I cannot go out to the center of Manchester with a cup asking for any extra change. The Disability income only pays for about have my bills, just enough for a roof over my head. Then I have all the different medications that are not cheap, sometimes I fall into the Donut hole and cannot afford the medication so I ask my Doctor for any sample and he said they do not give out samples to the meds I have to take. So that is about it for me and my ex wife, well she married her boss who is a Dentist and they were having an affair for years. The other thing is I have tried to fine working from home jobs, like Data entry jobs but they all want you to pay something up front, which I never have so live goes on ONE DAY AT A TIME.

We are living paycheck to paycheck every month. My dog recently hurt her knee and needs to have a major surgery for her to walk again. The total surgery will be around 2,000. It's so much money and I feel awful asking but she is part of our family and I've tried everything and have been selling what we can to try to pay for it. I don't know what else to do for her. I thank anyone for any help....We would all appreciate it! My kids adore the dog too! Putting her to sleep is not an option. She's family.

I am a single mother in need of help I am still recovering from the loss of everything I owned due to a personal tragedy .My mama and other other family members also could use some help .I am in bad health but am willing to work for any donations as much as I am physically able to.It would sure be a blessing to get some of the things we need to get ahead to the point where we could have a better quality of life.My child is about to have a birthday coming up and I would love to be able to give him something .I am also about to move into a new place cause I am staying with family and they are no longer going to be able to help me for they are very poor themselves ,so I will to move out and will need beds ,houshold items ,and many other things when I move . I am shocked that I have come to this. Yet I never judged or declined to help those in need, it is simply odd that I have landed in the spot I'm in.

I am a Nurse (Hospice) receiving Disability, and waiting to get back to work. I deal with severe spinal problems, I have had multiple back surgeries, multiple spine procedures, and now live a life in pain daily. No crying here, I am an advocate for others that live in Chronic Pain.

In Jan.'12, I blew out my knee that has already had 2 surgeries. I am waiting for MRI, and results that will tell so much more--a 3rd knee surgery, or back to work?

It is this interim point that I am asking for help to get through.

The last home I was living in, turned out to be a home with several types of Abuse going on. It was there I hurt my knee, and was treated like an animal. I left at the end of Jan., for my own safety, and am staying with family this month,who really can't afford me.

***I was blessed to find a reasonable place to rent for March, it is getting in there that is the issue monetarily. My family can not help me now, (or I wouldn't be here asking). They have been there for me, gave me a couch to sleep on, and ears to cry to.

If anyone who reads this remembers the care they received from a caring and educated nurse, and wants to help out, just know that I am striving to get back to nursing, to make money again, etc. In pain or not! I don't let that keep me down. I am not a lazy person, and actually I hate not being able to work right now!!

I am 30yrs old woman, I'm living with my husband in a rented flat.
When i was a kid i had a surgery on my right leg, a surgery that went wrong. After that i had to go under 15 other surgeries on my right leg to be able to walk.
I had to be treated in Italy cause at that time there were no specialists in Poland (that's where i'm from). My parents spent all their savings to pay for my treatment.
Today i am an independent person, last fall i started my own business which requires a lot of driving and meetings with clients.
Unfortunately right before Xmas i fell down on an icy road twisting my right knee. I was
hospitalized for a couple of weeks. Now, after several tests and analysis it turns out i have to go under another surgery to fix my knee.
Otherwise i won't be able to drive or bend my knee at all for the rest of my life.

However this will cost about $3.000 and me and my husband, we don't have this amount of money.
My husband has two jobs just to pay the bills.
All the medical bills so far were paid from our credit cards. But we have no more credit, no savings and due to the fact i cannot drive i cannot run my business which is also consuming money.
We have huge debts in banks and on our credit cards that we used to pay for my medical bills and for rent.
Please help us in anyway you can.
We're trying to save as much money as possible, even buying less food.
Please, any amount that you can donate will help us get through this.

On January 10, 2012, my son was running down the street and collasped on the sidewalk. School vice principal rushed him to the hospital. Doctors decided to hospitalized him to undergo surgery on Jan. 11 for bilateral knee injuries in both legs. My son had to stay at this hospital for 3 weeks because we had to wait for a bed at children rehabilitation hospital in Long Island NY to get physical and occupational therapy to walk again. He must stay at this new hospital for additional 6 more weeks. This situation has cause a big financial hardship because my son hospital bill has total up to $24,000 so far. I have been at my son bedside everyday and I only make minimal wage at my job. I currently don't have many money to pay for the medical bills. And my job didn't pay me for the 3 weeks out of work. My rent is past due and no money to put food on the table. Please help my family with any donations and food. Pray for the speedy recovery of my son.

I am a married mother of 2 beautiful girls.
My husband lost his job 3 years ago, due to a knee complaint, and we could not afford court costs to pay to fight it, and has since had to have numerous operations, and because he is only 45 he has been told he is to young for a new knee.
He is unable to go far when walking, he can not run and play with the girls like he once did, and is in constant pain.
He is a mans man and never complains about his pain, yet i know he is in it constantly.
Because of the pain he is in, and the fact i am now his carer we have no spare money to take our children away, even for a long weekend somewhere or day trips.
We have not been able to take our girls anywhere since my husband lost his job, and i feel so sorry for them, as the eldest always comes home saying her friends are going away, and asking why we can not. They ask for things we just can not afford to give them, but would love to.
We were hard working individuals, up to the loss of work, and me becoming a carer, but now have to skrimp by everyday, and someday's telling your children they cant have something because we only have a few pence in our pocket, is heart breaking.
We save pennies and 5 pence's and when the jar is full we go to the coin star machine to change it, but they never amount to much
I have never asked for anything in my life, and have always managed to get by, but this would be for my family, for them to be able to smile, even if it is for just one day, by doing something we can all enjoy.
So if anyone would like to help, it would be very much appreciated.
I am not asking for lots, just enough to pay for a day out somewhere.

I guess I don't have a great story. I am a 61 year old man. I just went through a bad divorce and now live in a single wide mobile home. I am in need of a knee replacement and cannot work. But, what I need now is, money for food. I have nothing and no one to turn to. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I have had to take our pet dog to the vets for knee surgery (TTA) and we are going to struggle to pay this. Our insurers won't cover all the costs and we need to pay up front.

I am a 48yr old married woman who has had to give up my job as a staff nurse (since 1979) due to back and knee complaints. The trust I formerly worked for will not accept that these problems stem from my nursing career and are therefore dragging their heels over my small pension payments, likewise the benefits agency. My husband works 50+ hours a week on the minimum wage and then has to come home and do the housework and prepare meals as I have also been diagnosed with depression and anxiety which renders me some days unable to even get out of bed. Anything I do causes me so much pain due to my back and knee and I am having to use crutches to mobilise which is problematic. We are in the process of losing our family home(this is the home that I and my siblings grew up in) and would be heartbroken if this were to happen but we cannot at the moment pay the mortgage or secured loan on the property. Please Please can somebody help us at this desperate time and restore our faith in human nature.

I completely loses in my business, i unable to recover some payments from
my clients.one big project , which is higher than my capacity thrown me on
to problems, the project was stopped permanently due to the owner of the
firm was expired suddenly, there is no way to return my money. i am in dept
, one of the distributor occupied my office and taken away my car.I have
to pay them around $14000, distributors are forcing me to pay
the remaining dues immediately. I cleared some amount by sold of my
wife's ornaments, i came from a middle class family, i have no other assets
to sold.

I vacated my two bed room flat and moved to a small single room, my family
consists of four members, mother, wife, 16 months old daughter and
me.presently i am not earning single penny also, i tried for so many jobs
but it didn't work for me. my mother needs a knee replacement operation
immediately, presently my family suffering from hunger, i failed to
giving them sufficient food. this is my lost attempt to get some help from
kind people like you. we have no other chance except end of our lives.In

Hello everyone Im a 53 year old single mom in PA with two children, very amazing children. My daughter is 21 and works hard serving coffee and donuts, My son who is 19 years old does the same type of work, and also goes to college. I am disabled and at home, I have diabetes, no cartilage in my right knee, almost lost my life twice with two pulmonary embolisms. I am currently on warffrin for life along with other meds that are keeping me alive. I am stressing out because, being a mother, I am worried about my two kids, they work so hard, I cannot help them now, and I am feeling stressed about it, we all live together in public housing, and we are barely covering our bills. We are just getting by, and my wish is to help my children, I am not asking for a handout, I am just asking for a stay at home job I can do on the computer so they can spend more money on the things they need than having to chip in for the rent. My kids are really good kids doing the right thing, it is unfortunate that they have to live in these circumstances. their father, he lives in another state,and, well he feels his obligation is over, and is not helping them at all anymore. I am basically alone in finishing raising my children. I have typing skills, and good phone skills, I just cannot stand on my legs too long. Unfortunately I can't drive or own a car. My son has a car but it is not in the best of condition,he needs a new car so he can go to work and to school, and my daughter is getting married, she deserves a nice wedding, I want to help them both, and feel really stressed about it. My goal is to find a work at home job, so I can help them with their goals. These kids are my life. I want to see them happy because, that would make me happy. I could use someone's help out there.
