Hello, My names Kaylee and I am in need of a little help if possible. My parents divorced this year and it ended with me, my mum and my brother moving to a 2 bedroom repossessed property that is in dire need of repair. My mum works, but her wages only cover our necessities and there’s no room to save for the house to be repaired. Me and my brother help where we can but we are on little wages ourselves. We currently have no ceiling or flooring in the lounge and kitchen and every wall in the house needs repairing and painting. We also need a sofa and other bits of furniture as we currently have plastic garden chairs. I have a friend who is a builder and is willing to do all the repairs for us, it's just the part of raising the money for materials that’s an issue.
I would be most grateful for any donation that could help towards my cause and I know it’s not life threatening and in some people’s eyes not a lot of money but for us it could make a huge difference to our lives. My mum suffers with Bipolar and this can have a huge impact on our everyday life, with the house in such disarray this can cause my mums behavior to be very erratic and disorganised, I just feel with a home she does not need to worry about that it will help us all to lead a better quality of life :)

I live in a flood plain area. My house is falling down around me. I am looking for someone to help me tear down and help me get a home to elevate on my property. I own my property but my house is slowly falling in. I need help. I need a loan or a home builder to build me a house. My credit is shot and I do have an income but my credit is shot. When I purchased this home back in 2004 after finally getting away from an extremely abusive marriage, all I could see was that the price was right and that I would finally be safe - hundreds of miles away from my now ex-husband. As a single mother of 3 children on a limited income, I saw how I would be able to live completely mortgage and rent free. I didn't however see the major repairs that this house required - nor did I have the money to make such repairs. Over time, of course things got worse - and it brings me up to the point of where I am today.

The roof on this house is so badly deteriorated that it is leaking very badly in the downstairs bathroom, dining room, kitchen and front door areas. It has leaked so badly that now mold has started to form in the bathroom ceiling and the drywall has slowly been falling away on the one wall. The slightest wind and you will find shingles blown off and laying on the ground. The roof is so bad that I am fearful that even the boards underneath the shingles may need to be replaced.

Realize that this is my last resort in trying to come up with the funds required to get this new roof. I have tried applying to government grants for home improvement but unfortunately I do not qualify because 1. my property taxes are not paid up to date (I owe approximately $2000 just in property taxes), and 2. the size of the house is larger than the specified guideline parameters. Nor do I qualify for a loan of any sort as 1. I make a mere $200 a month working and 2. have bad past credit (being a single mom has taken some serious tolls on me - including financially!).

So the goal here is to get a new roof installed - and as soon as possible so that any further damage to the house is avoided. I also worry about the mold forming in the bathroom especially and one day the roof caving in in there. While my children have grown to teenagers now, I still have to worry about their health.

I have uploaded pictures and this story at Chip-In to show you the extent of the damage done especially in the bathroom area - and a view of the shingles as they are right now on the roof. Admittedly I realize that my house also needs some repair on the stucco, windows and such but right now my main concern is the roof. I'm surprised it hasn't caved in on me by now.

I thank everyone in advance for helping me with this. I do not normally like asking for help from anyone but at this point I am finding that I have no other alternative.

My husband and I have been married for 30 years and have grown children. Most of our excess money goes toward helping them and the grandchildren. In the meantime our kitchen floor is almost falling through in three spots, our bathroom has mold all around the top of the walls and all our windows are completely molded. There is at least a half inch open space in our doors that allows cold/heat in so our electric bills are outrageous. We really need help in order to clear out the mold so ourselves and our grandchildren will hopefully not be affected.

I am desperate to get a culinary certificate. I graduated with my BS in Criminal Justice and racked up 50k in schools loans and because I am a current graduate, I no longer qualify for grants. I have just realized what my true passion in life in and it is cooking! I have a true gift and I know it is going unnoticed because I have yet to show my talents to anyone besides my family. I truly believe is using fresh, local grown ingredients with humane animal practices. I am missing out on fulfilling my dream of cooking because no restaurant out there is willing to hire someone with no kitchen experience!

I am A Vet with a wife and one child left at home. Last july I had a stoke that prevented me from working the last 5 months of 2011. My morgage got behind, i lost all my kitchen appliances, some other house hold stuff. I have been given the ok to return to work, but not what i was doing. I used to work 14 to 17 hour days. I am dissabled but i know theres others out there way more misfortuned then me. So i havent went to get an increase on my dissabilty. ( In the process of doing so now)I need some funds to either hepl me buy a camper to live in $5400.00 cause im on unemployment and that doesnt pay the morgage. Hello. I am a 2nd year student, although this is now my third year at university. The reason for this is that I live with my mum, and she was going through some major finance troubles. I stopped studying for a while and started working full time to help with bills. Things are still hard, but at least we are not at risk of losing the house anymore! I am returning to University, and had planned my finances as I am working part time to pay for my studies. However, with so many bills, a hole, yes a hole, in the floor of my kitchen (the fault of my sister who overloaded the fridge plug, and caused the freezer to melt), medical bills, a broken car (again), and the ever growing cost of living, I have only saved $600 of the required $2700 needed for my fees to be paid by the end of the month. On top of this, the hole is required to be fixed immediately ,as the longer it’s not fixed, the more the rotting will spread further, therefore needing a bigger job to fix it. This has a quote of $4000 - mind you that is just one quote; I have heard it's a couple of thousand depending on how big the area is (from 3-4 thousand), but he said because it has effected such a large area, that they need to cut out beyond the floor boards to ensure the rot is gone. I have never done this before, so I am a little ashamed to say the least that it has come to asking complete strangers for help. I have really tried to save for as long as possible, but things keep coming up that have cause me to only save a portion of what is needed. However they need to be paid so quickly that I am asking for help to get the $6100 so I can pay them before deadlines/further damage. If anybody has any means of helping I would be so very appreciative; I really am almost in tears at this moment to even think that somebody could be so kind and generous to even consider helping me, like winning the lottery. I am a single mother in need of help I am still recovering from the loss of everything I owned due to a personal tragedy .My mama and other other family members also could use some help .I am in bad health but am willing to work for any donations as much as I am physically able to.It would sure be a blessing to get some of the things we need to get ahead to the point where we could have a better quality of life.My child is about to have a birthday coming up and I would love to be able to give him something .I am also about to move into a new place cause I am staying with family and they are no longer going to be able to help me for they are very poor themselves ,so I will to move out and will need beds ,houshold items ,and many other things when I move . hello i carnt find my last plea or beg, im 43 live in spain female cut trees all day look after 70 animals i am unpaid have no money at all treated as a slave.live in broken caravan no kitchen bathroom or toilet.or tv ,just had operation for a big tumor resulting in high level of anemia 5 months of pills for iron.have bad diet boss gives me no food only instructions .at the point of looking in the bin for food again.have no other place to live i work really hard and he dosent ever say thanks i need money please iam not entitled to government money thanks bye

We desperately need your help! We are a small church located in an economically disadvantaged community. We own a house that was deeded over to us by a former pastor and are at risk of losing that property because of our inability to pay some past due taxes on the property.

The house was deeded to the church over 30 years ago by a former pastor of the church who had become ill and subsequently passed away. The house is not located in the same community as the church. (In fact, it is some distance away from the church, and therefore could not be utilized for church-related purposes which would have taken it off of the tax roll). As a result of gentrification in that community, the property values have increased tremendously. The property tax assessment for the property owned by the church escalated to staggering heights during the housing bubble.

Because of this the church has had much difficulty keeping up with all of the taxes on the property (a general tax, a school tax, and a village tax). The rental income from the property is used to assist the church with operating expenses, maintenance of all of the church properties, as well as paying the taxes. Finally, reassessment in the last couple of years has brought down the amount of taxes to be paid and we are better able to handle some of the current taxes due, but some of the older taxes were sold and consolidated in tax lien sales. The consolidation of the prior taxes due has hurt us tremendously. Numerous times the unpaid taxes were consolidated prior to our completion of raising enough funds to pay off some of them in their unconsolidated state. Individually some were $1,000 to $3,000 respectively. They have been consolidated totaling almost $19,000. We are not permitted to pay the liens individually which was viable, we have to pay them in total.

There is a holding company based in the community where the house is located which purchased those liens. That company is now a few months away from being able to begin foreclosure proceedings and take a valuable piece of real estate out from under the church. This would be devastating to the church.

The church has been in the process of trying to sell the house and use the proceeds from the sale to build a much needed new church building in the community it is located as well as to pay off those outstanding liens at closing, and to unload a property that was once a blessing to the church, but has long since become a burden. We don’t want to lose the property. We want to be able to sell it. We had some offers on the house, but at the last minute a promising deal fell through. Previously interested buyers, for some reason now, are less interested. We feel it is possible that there may some collusion within the community where the house is located to wait for the lien process to move forward and that potential purchasers connected with the holding company will be able to take the property and flip it to tremendous financial advantage, while leaving the church with nothing for thirty years of struggling to take care of the property.

It is important that we are allowed to sell the house and build our new church. We are in the final stages of making the new building a reality. All we have to do is secure the construction financing. Receipt of a commitment letter for the sale of the house is all that stands in the way of a 40+ year dream for the congregation. It would give us the down-payment that we need to move forward.

With the construction of a new church, we would be able to operate before and after school programs, have handicap accessible restrooms, and provide better services to the community. We have a senior citizens housing complex across the street from our church, and many of the residents would attend our church but they are unable to climb up and down the stairs to the single-person restrooms in the basement. We also operate a summer day camp which would benefit greatly from having more space in which to operate. We would be able to accommodate many more youngsters, many of whose families are unable to afford the other summer camps operating in the area. We have had to turn down prospective campers because of space constraints.

Our congregational makeup has changed over the years. The financial impact of that changed has been coupled with the severe impact of the economic downturn on our community. We have more retirees now on fixed income, youth, and small children, many of whom have young mothers, and some people who are working age, mostly with working class wages. We need to build a church to better meet the needs of our congregation and community. We operate a food pantry and soup kitchen which would be able to open more days a week with bigger pantry space and a modern commercial kitchen.

As I stated, we are in the final stages of the building project. We have our permits, plans, and contractor selected. We are ready to obtain financing. The congregation, which has always striven to do much with little, has invested much in this projected over the years and the sale of this property owned by the church is the one thing that stands in the way of it happening. Please do not let us lose this property just so a few people can make a quick buck. Help us to pay off these tax liens so that our church will be able to help transform an entire community!

I have never done this before, or even heard of a site like this. I am in desperate need of a lot of things. I have two children a boy age 5 and a girl who is age 11. I am a single mom who lost her job of 8 years. I do own a house but I can't even find rent for cheaper than my mortgage. My sons father left me with a mess. He started to remodel our kitchen over the summer then took off with another woman. I have not had cabinets, sink, stove I do have a refrigerator but that's about it. So even if I wanted to sell my house it would be impossible. He sold all of my old apliances and left me with nothing. I can't afford cabinets. I have a sink I could use and a stove but no cabinets and without them I can't use the sink I have. I have been cooking out of a microwave, toaster oven and one of those little flat top things. I am seriously onthe verge of giving up. My daughter is a cheerleader and they let her do this for free the second year in a rw for me cause she is very talented but she is supposed to go to Daytona Florida in a month and all mt credit cards are maxed out mostly due to eating out without appliances. I don't know what to do anymore I don't have family that gives crap. It would be a miracle to have something good happen to me. I can't be depressed for my kids anymore it's not fair. I need a smile a gift from god!!!! If anyone could help I would probably faint. I have never been this bad off! I never asked for help.

My roommate and I just relocated to San Marcos, in order to go to school. Our families have both fallen on hard times, and neither of us has been able to find a steady job at more than twelve hours a week, due to our schedules. If we don't get jobs within the next week, we will be forced to drop out and lose our apartment as well. Our kitchen is bare. We've sold everything we could, and neither of us wants to drop out. Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated.

the disaster is - my kitchen floor it is disgusting it has two different mismatched floorings conjoined and they are REVOLTING i swear down the bit where i have the cat bowls ew the catfood is cemented to it even if you bleach it tons of times, it is an EMBARASSMENT to think we had to eat our lovely christmas dinner in that squalour!!!

Im not ill and im not harping on a sob story i just need a fund to buy some floor tiles for my kitchen that SUCKS!! Honestly it has one ripped up OLD layer of flooring and on top of that an ill fitted glittery red piece of flooring showing the ripped up old flooring!!
B&q aint exactly cheap for them and i dont really like POUNDLANDS ones i have them in the kids room and the cats are gnawing at it!

I have been married for 2 1/2 years to an abusive drunk. I was a teacher in another state for 11 years and moved to Ohio to get married and start a new life. Almost immediately, I realized I had made a mistake. He drinks heavily and is verbally and physically abusive. I often find myself locked in a bedroom with our cat, who he also threatens to kill. I have slept in my car, in cheap hotels and on friend's couches.
I want to leave and go back to the state where I taught before moving here, but cannot afford it. I am in need of $1500 to buy a plane ticket and to help pay my bills until I can find a job.
I am currently working a min wage job and want can barely pay my bills (student loans, credit cards, insurance, living expenses)and can't afford to leave. I am desperate, scared and tired of living this way. I want out, but have no place to go and no money to do it and wouldn't be on here unless it was a last resort. I can provide a police report from when he was arrested for domestic violence if you want proof of my situation.
Please, if you can find any way to help me, I would be so grateful. When I get out, I would pay back by serving in the community I move to. I currently volunteer at our local cat shelter and would do that in my new city, as well as work in the soup kitchen and find other service opportunities. I believe in paying it forward.

Im a 31 year old hard working mum, i recently got made redundant but after several months out of work i hve started temping. The money isnt great but its a job at the end of the day.....

My washing machine pretty much exploded last week, flooding my entire kitchen and hallway. Unfortuantly i dont have house insurance (as cannot afford it)!!! My wife and I have been married 49 years in May. We have always worked and are now living totally on Social Security. I will soon be 70 years old and my wife is 68.

We own our home(free and clear)and are not destitute, but we do need help.

We are both dissembled, My wife is on oxygen 24/7 and, due to nerve damage to both legs, I cannot walk or stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I manage to get around by hanging on to things.
As we get older there are some things that need to be taken care inside the house.

We have asked for help from our County to install new windows and doors that I have already purchased, and have had on hand for the last few years. I have checked with Habitat in our closest city and there is no help available in this part of rural America. The siding on the house is decaying badly and needs to be replaced. We also have siding and roof damage from a large storm here last spring.

We managed to get a kitchen remodel completed last year, by a handy man who owed me some money. This makes it much more accessible for my wife and I.

I have the tools and the know how, but my body wont cooperate.

I have never asked for help before, and have always been there for anyone that has needed help, but I am no longer able.

I am requesting for assistance because I am overwhelmed with my current financial situation, but determined also that I have to fight on for my two daughters who need me. I am a lone parent who has always provided for my two children single handedly with no assistance but in recent months things have really taken a turn for the worse. I used to be proud of my credit status but now I am ashamed of it.
I am not able to afford to do much at the moment financially.This house that I have moved to needs a total refurb however my kitchen is where I feel I should start my kitchen is in a terrible state I cannot aford to install one I cook using a single burner electric hob. I do need about £2000 to install a kitchen with some basic appliances. I together with my two little girls would greatly appreciate contributions no matter how small towards my kitchen fund.

Im 23 and begging for your help. They are making so many redunancies at work I'm scared I'm going to lose my job, I'm already drowning in bills and can barely afford to live. I'm lucky enough to work in a kitchen which brings the cost of my food bills down, but if i lose my job I don't know what I'll do. I don't want to be homeless and have no family near me to help. hi,i am a stressed out mum with 5 children,2 have Aspergers/Autism and i am trying my best to look after them and study so that i can better myself and hopefully be able to take them for a little holiday as we have never been anywhere.i do not want to go anywhere expensive,just a weekend away with them would be the best ever.my house also has terrible dry rot,i have spent all the money i had having it treated (house insurance would not cover it).we had to rip all the kitchen worktops and units out(ruined by rot)and knock all the plaster off the walls to treat it,if i could just have any small amounts i could buy kitchen units on sale and try and give the children a tidy clean place to cook and eat their food and do their homework in,i will be extreemly greatful for any amounts to help me so that the children will have a better life,my autistic son cant cope with mess and cries all the time and asks me why he is the only boy in his class that hasnt been on holiday.thank you for reading this plea and if you feellike you would like to help out i am eternally greatful.thank you from the bottom of my heart.
