Our Car was repoed when my husband was injured by a drunk driver. The med bills were more than the mere 10 thousand settlement and left us broke. He was always a good provider and worked hard from age 16. I was offered a full-time job but I need a good used car to get me to work that won't leave me owing repair bills. We have a 21 year old son who has autism and a 3 year old granddaughter we care for. Please help me to help my family. I was offered a job a a food service worker(cook) in a large unionized supermarket. If I get a car I already have the job and am supposed to start soon. I have no one who can loan me car and no one to give me a ride to work.I was just given an awesome job and I love to cook. If I can get there to this job, our lives will change for the better and I can help my husband, children, and granddaughter.QAlso , the people who "bought" our mobile home are indefault and owe us 6.700 dollars and we are about to get kicked out of our home as we depended on the contracted money owed to us and the buyer is a drug addict crack-cocaine user refusing to pay. It is too much to bear. I sold my home under contract to a black woman who turned out to be lying crack head. She refuses to pay me the 6,700 she owes me. I am so poor I cannot afford to file in court the 147.00 needed to go to small claims. Also the mobile home I purchased has 2 rooms gutted and unfinished. I need the bedrooms to have floors and walls. I have a 21 year old son with autism and get no help at all from county or social work, etc. I'm also trying to make my home suitable and finished so my granddaughter can come live with me. Her parents are neglecting her and I need a suitable room for her to live in. The home I sold was fixed by me and husband. We invested money so we could get a few thousand but we got nothing! We moved into the mobile home we reside in now but since the "buyers" have not paid, we are unable to finance any fixing the house desperately needs. Also, my husbands car dealership mechani's job got axed and he is looking for ful-time work. I was just given a job after neing out of work with uterine/ovarian cancer and heart surgeries for 5 years. We could really use a donated automobile, and the $6,700 that our "buyers" owe us. We can pay back if and when the judge awards it. We have real estate contract proving that they bought and they are clearly in default. We have always been hard-working people. We are going through a very hard time because right after my husband returned from Iraq(US Army) he had a hard time adjusting to life back home(was shot)& was out of work for over a year, to make a long story short he got a job & I lost mine. I am not a begger, I have asked his and my parents/family to borrow money but they all refused, its been months that I have been without a job and we are going to lose our home, our car, we at the moment don't even have gas money and I am so scared! I believe in God and I am a good person, I know that God has a plan for my family, I was just searching and found this site and I know there are great people in this world that also believe in giving back & helping people like me. My husband and I have a 9 month old, and I am 5 months pregnant with our 2nd child. We just found out that the place where my husband works is shutting down right after labor day. We both have been endlessly looking for jobs while his mom watches our daughter. We take Kim to his mom at 8 am and pick her up at 4 pm. We are trying to make looking for work just like a job. I am the president of a gem and Mineral Fair Association and we provide a community event each year that gives our children FREE entertainment and show rides which being in this isolated part of tasmania our kids do not get to see unless they travel many hours away to attend. We started out because the mining company that sponsored community events had shut down and left the town in a crisis situation. We thought we could something good for the locals by rasing money to give them some free entertainment and keep up the morale,this in turn helped the local businesses with people coming to our event from all over the world. It has become very popular but now the mining companies that had started to boom again for a couple of years have shut down so we cannot go to them for sponsorship to help raise money for our childrens rides etc.
We do as much fundraising as we popssibly can but you can only expect so much from a small community that has not got many employment options at this moment.
We are afraid that this event will not be able to go ahead without some kind of support. This will be our 6th year.
I am hoping that we can raise enough money to see this years event take place in November, and hopefully by this time next year the economy will have picked up and our mines working again so that they may be able to support the community that supports them.
