help needed to meet my future wife
Posted by r_rayjr on 2012-03-17 23:58:32
I am an Unemployed, Disabled Veteran. I haven't been able to work since I left the military because of my service connected disability, after serving over 11 years.
Anyway, during my time in the military I meet several Japanese people and got a longing for a Japanese wife. But I never did get to go to Japan. So I now want to go to Japan to find me a Japanese wife. But since I am a 100% Disabled Veteran my income is very limited. So I need help getting the money for the plane ticket to Japan, and money for a week stay, and some extra for meals and other costs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trip to Japan!!!

I am a full-time college student working two jobs and living on my own. I use my money to pay bills and the small amount left over goes into savings for emergencies. I'll be graduating in the spring next year (2013) and I've always wanted to go to Japan. I know it will take me a few years to actually save up enough money for the plane ticket alone! Please help get me to Japan :3 no donation is too small :)

I am a junior attending a UC university institution. I am a first generation college student and come from a poor family. My dream is to be an engineer and help support my family as well travel around the world during vacations to places in need such as Haiti, Japan, and spread the word of God. I want to be able to continue my studies and I don't want to put any worry in my mom since she has my siblings to take care of.I need one more year to finish my degree and I am sad that I don't have enough financial assistance to pay for it. All I am asking for is a generous donation and may God Bless you and your family. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and donating!
Please help!! Read please!

I know you've probably heard this story before, a long with a thousand other
stories, but i am a single mom with 4kids and i'm falling behind with my
bills. I hardley have money for food, im in fear of loosing my home, and im
in debt on my credit card trying to keep up with my mortgage payments
because I am currently unemployed. Christmas is around the corner and I find
myself ashamed to be driven to come on this site, sit here and be typing
this asking for help from someone who is out there with a heart and a little
bit of extra cash that they could spare. I never thought I would be the one
in need for donations when thinking back I was the one donating to japan,
the veterns, and hurricane katrina. Theres people out there in the world
robbing and stealing, but i was brought up to, if you ever need anything
just ask for it, and if someone could help you they will. There is really no
exact amount I need, anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Help me give my wife the honeymoon of her dreams
Posted by Kneecap on 2011-10-16 09:58:08
Last eleven months have been very painful to me. I've lived in uncertainty, or even fear, that I have a bad disease. The latest doctor appointment proved that I don't have it (thank god), so besides that being a huge relief for us, it also showed me that one needs to live the life that has been given, and not take it for granted. One fellow said it well, that people only appreciate health when it's taken away from them.
After getting a second chance of sorts from my doctors, I've decided that I want to make the most of it.The money received from this would go fully to fulfill mine and my wife's biggest dream. The one we're been chasing for many, many years. To visit Japan. We've always wanted to go there, and this might allow us to do so. After chasing the dream for so many years, I decided that I don't want to chase it any more. I want to have it. I want it to be reality. Life is too short and fragile to only chase dreams..
That trip will also act as our honeymoon (We've been married for almost three years now, and still haven't gotten our honeymoon...My wife says that it's totally fine, but I don't believe her. I feel like I've let her down, and that's really eating me up inside.) I want this to be the honeymoon of her dreams. I have no idea how long that will take, but I will not give up. I want this to happen :)

2nd Chance A Charm

Hello, I have just recently medically retired from the Marine Corps after 13 years of faithful service. I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister and a friend. However lately, with all the changes I have had to endure, I have felt invisible. I injured my back during martial arts training and didnt seek the medical attention I needed until it was too late. I had even gotten to half way of my Marine Corps Marathon training but had to stop due to numbness and tingling in the feet. Once I finally did try to get the medical attention I needed, I was told I had a somatoform disorder, which means the pain is all in my head and not in my body at all. After seeing a Navy shrink I was told I had a personality disorder and he submitted a Administrative discharge request to my Commanding Officer, I was devastated. I loved the Marine Corps and everything that came with it. I had no intentions of leaving it and only wanted to get better and seek proper care. Instead of getting the help I needed medically, I had to fight to keep my career and lively hood. After further tests, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a pinched nerve, carpal tunnel in both wrists and buldging discs. I had to be seperated medically. Depression is not even close to the word to describe what I fell into. My goal-dream was to be a Drill Instuctor, fight a good fight over seas and put in 20 years. In the blink of an eye it was all gone. Now I had to let go of my aspirations of what could have been and now try to figure out what I was good for now. A little bit about my self:I was raised in Austin, Texas by my maternal grandparents, left by my biological mother at 15 days old on Christmas Day 1975. I endured a strict upbringing and borderline abuse, much due to my grandmotherâs fear of becoming my "mothers, daughter". I have never known who my father is and doubt he knows I even exist. I had been the witness and the victim of neglect and child abuse by my mother who was and is still heavily into alcohol and drugs. She had two more daughters in which I helped raise up until they were left in another state with relatives. It was then that I left to the Marine Corps at the age of 19, mostly to find myself and forget myself. During one tour in California, I was made aware that one of my sisters, 7 years my junior, was in need of my help due to abuse from the relative she was left with. An uncle who had abused her from the age of 6 until she was 12. I took emergency leave and went to get her, I already married with a newborn, and I knew I had to lend a hand and help. The abuse and trauma was too severe and the state of California took custody of her after a failed suicide attempt in her high school. I continued my military service until I received yet another call, this time for my youngest sister, 12 years my junior, was in states custody and if I could provide a stable home for her. I was now a single mother of a 4 year old and still an active duty Marine, but again, could not turn my back on the need she had. I put in the time and the effort, attending family counseling 5hours away and meeting with doctors and lawyers to get the process started to get her into a stable situation. Finally at the age of 14 she was placed with me and I was granted custody. I enrolled her in to high school and away we went onward and upward in our life. It was not close to "traditional" but we had each other and that was more than what most have. I received orders to Japan for 3 years accompanied and although I had reservations about the huge change I took it in stride. I had pleaded my case to the Marines about staying until my sister graduated in 2years but at the need of the Corps I was sent anyway. In Japan, after only being there for about 6months, my sister started to self mutilate again. With that the military sent me back to my previous base and committed her to a hospital immediately. After a 30 day stay and with support and guidance she eventually got to a place where she could receive the help she needed to heal. She graduated from high school and is now in the medical field working full time and engaged. After that chapter closed the new one with my medical mishaps in the Corps started full force. I am not one to really get or ask for help, and have been in the business of giving but I am hoping now in the oddest of places, maybe I can, with my story inspire someone to pay it forward and lend a hand. I thank any donation and appreciate any amounts. I am trying to start my own resale shop online and hope with some assistance I can get to a better place in my life as sometimes the future seems real dim. Thank you in advance and God bless.
Help the Nochi family - Iwaki Japan (March 2011 Quake and Tsunami)
Posted by ireshaimase on 2011-03-17 02:58:39
As you are aware. The Earthquake that struck recently affected alot of people, including one of my very close friends, Masumi Nochi.
Her and her family, thank god, are fine. But her house is not. I have started a fund for her through my paypal account.
I will post the progress of this on my Facebook. And of course, I am sending this message to EVERYONE of my friends on Facebook. This money will go, through me, straight to Masumi Nochi in Iwaki, Japan, where I too lived for three years of my life. This is ONE way we can help her out. I will make sure she gets all the money that is put into the account. No admin fees, nothing like that.
Thank you so much.
I have a video that she and I did together in 2002 - here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4637486953292517187#

Japan earthquake and tsunami: How to help
Posted by lucycampbell on 2011-03-12 16:58:03
Japan was hit by one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded on Friday. The magnitude-8.9 quake spawned a deadly tsunami that slammed into the nation's east coast, leaving a huge swath of devastation in its wake. Hundreds of people are dead and many more are still missing or injured.
Japan has often donated when other countries have experienced disasters, such as when Hurricane Katrina impacted the United States. Below are organizations that are working on relief and recovery in the region.
AMERICAN RED CROSS: Emergency Operation Centers are opened in the affected areas and staffed by the chapters. This disaster is on a scale larger than the Japanese Red Cross can typically manage. Donations to the American Red Cross can be allocated for the International Disaster Relief Fund, which then deploys to the region to help. Donate here.
GLOBALGIVING: Established a fund to disburse donations to organizations providing relief and emergency services to victims of the earthquake and tsunami.
SAVE THE CHILDREN: Mobilizing to provide immediate humanitarian relief in the shape of emergency health care and provision of non-food items and shelter.
SALVATION ARMY: The Salvation Army has been in Japan since 1895 and is currently providing emergency assistance to those in need.
AMERICARES: Emergency team is on full alert, mobilizing resources and dispatching an emergency response manager to the region.
CONVOY OF HOPE: Disaster Response team established connection with in-country partners who have been impacted by the damage and are identifying the needs and areas where Convoy of Hope may be of the greatest assistance.
INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CORPS: Putting together relief teams, as well as supplies, and are in contact with partners in Japan and other affected countries to assess needs and coordinate our activities.
SHELTER BOX: The first team is mobilizing to head to Japan and begin the response effort.

Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami
Your gift to the American Red Cross will support our disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific. On those rare occasions when donations exceed American Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.

Jacque to Japan
Posted by JacquetoJapan on 2010-07-01 23:58:58
Hello my name is Jacqueline. I recently was accepted to Temple University Japan Campus in Tokyo. I am very excited about being able to study abroad and look forward to the experiences I will gain in the future. I was born in New Mexico and was raised between Colorado and New Mexico due to my parents' divorce. The neighborhood I lived in in New Mexico and the income level I had in Colorado were all certain indicators that I may not be one to achieve much within my lifetime. However, I am not willing to settle with limited options and I think the opportunities presented to me with college will make certain my future will be bright. I want to prove that even kids with my background can do great things and that we are not predestined to live a less than fulfilled life. So I hope you all will join me on this journey. If there is anyway you may be able to help me obtain my dreams (as our main concern right now is funding my tuition and school fees), I would highly appreciate it if you could do so. Anything helps and I would be eternally grateful!
