Diabetics need help...

Posted by YeS_Diabetics on 2012-04-29 18:58:47

Thank you for reading!

I created an online company that helps diabetics get the free lancets they need to monitor blood sugars (www.lancetrx.com). Within three months of opening the site (and one press release), I had an overwhelming response from Type I and Type II diabetics around the world needing this service.

My reason to reach out to you for a monetary donation (which I call "tips") is that everything is out of my personal funds. My goal if enough tips are received is to become a non-profit so I may receive donated inventory and add test strips/A1c kits to the free list (and keep this service ongoing for so many diabetics who need these supplies). Thank you for reading!

Would like to reopen store after being closed from building sale

Posted by ShaZakLar on 2012-02-28 17:58:31

Hello, I'm 24 years old. Last summer I opened up a consignment shop in my town. I put pretty much all my money and savings into opening up my store, money I worked hard to raise for it, and lots and lots of time and hard work. Well after 5 1/2 months of being open, my landlord sold the building out from under me and I had to close! All of my hard work and money was gone. I now have a hard time paying bills and owe a few people money yet. I am hoping to reopen my store in a new location this spring, but obviously I do not have the funds to reopen at this time. I want to do things right this time and I would like to purchase a point of sale system to keep track of all my sales and consignors. I would probably have about $6000-7000 in start up costs to reopen to pay for deposits, rent, insurance, supplies, computer system, security system, more shelving, possibly credit card equipment and services, hopefully some more inventory of my own, and any other unexpected costs that may arise, and I need enough money to sustain myself incase I don't make enough money to pay my rent, utilities, & other bills at first. This has been a dream of mine for a long time.. and I finally was able to make it happen last summer but had it taken away from me by my landlord and new owner of the building I was renting. Anything would help! thanks!

I’m a woman with a dream. A dream to have my own successful business. Yes, I am a single mother of a great son, whom I’m supporting in college. With Robbing Peter to pay Paul, college tuition and trying hard to build a solid business with any extras I have. Which there really aren’t any extras. I make the needed sacrifice to build my business. I’m asking for your help to build a solid foundation to ensure my business is sustainable and successful. Like so many people, I received the dreaded “You are laid off” line. But, by the grace of GOD I found another job before my last one ended. I don’t want to hear that line again. Instead of worrying about losing a job I want to be in a position of creating a job (s). With your donations my business will flourish I will be in a position to pay it forward and provide a job (s) for someone else. I need $20,000 to build a solid foundation for my company. Your donation will help with supplies, inventory, and marketing. Be a part of what I truly feel is a worthy cause. I want to thank each of you who donate in advance. I’m also wishing that each of you is tripled blessed for being a blessing to me.

hello, please, please, any help is greatly appreciated

I posted this "beg" shortly after New Years, and have posted under rent yesterday as well as I have found out I will lose our home if I don't pay asap. I am new to this and believe me, far from lazy, just very ill. I would happily repay anyone once I get my ssdi awarded or work off anything on my "good days" when I can move around. I was amazed when I got an email that a woman donated to me, and for that, I am forever grateful. I am just praying more people see this and find it in their hearts to help if they are able to. I just copied the original one and its as follows:

Some background:

I am a mother of three wonderful children. I was married to their father for ten years, unfortunately. as with too many these days, it did not work out. I do not regret our marriage, for it gave me three wonderful children who are all almost grown now. 21, 19, 16. When we were married, we both decided it best for me to stay home with the children and raise them within our family, although this is pretty rare these days. Once we divoced though, I could only find manual type (cashier, inventory, stock, etc) work as I was married straight out of high school and did not try to go back to work until they were all in school. I did not mind working sometimes three different jobs in order to have full time hours yet work around the kids school schedule, son's physical therapy and the usual "Mom" stuff. People kept saying go back to school, but I could not figure out how to work three jobs, be the full time mom and dad and add school. Unfortunately five years ago I started feeling ill, like the flu that never went away. I kept working through it, with my kids being older as much as I knew I needed to be there, I knew I needed to pay the rent/bills too, so I started working split shifts at the grocery store. I'd go in at 6 am until 2pm, come home, be here for after school and dinner, then rush back at six and work until 11 pm. All the while I was getting sicker. I was hospitalized three times during this period. Unfortunately no one seems to want to agree with whats wrong with me, I have heard several diagnosis over the years, but RA is the one and only proven ailment, although they feel I have an overlapping autoimmune disease. I have no insurance right now, and hoping to get the state insurance soon, but I have a feeling treatment is a long ways away.

I did not want to go the ssdi route until I had no other choice. Too bad that's not how the system works. I, for the last three years have been dealing with such pain and illness, a "real job" became out of the question, so I'd work here and there, whenever I could get work and be able to do it, as some days are a little better than others. Believe me, nothing is below me, I'm happy to scrub toilets, clean dog poo, I will do anything legal to make it, most days now though I feel so bad I can't do much .Well, I have finally reached that "I can't do stage", just yesterday my daughter had to get me out of bed as I could not move. Problem is, SSDI takes up to two years to get, which I didn't realize, so now due to my inane pride, I am absolutely stuck. I just know if I can get on top of the important bills, I will be able to continue as I have (fingers crossed) until the SSDI is accepted, which I did finally file for.

More important than anything else, I need to get some food in the house for my son. I truly don't care if I eat, as long as its enough to survive, which believe it or not is very little. However, I want my growing son to be able to eat when he's hungry and have good healthy choices along with the occasional treat. My 19 year old is very self sufficient and has moved into her own apartment and after taking college courses all through high school is on the right track. My 21 year old moved out when she graduated high school and she too finished college and is self sufficient. (she has now moved back in with her daughter) That's why I only mentioned my son. I have plenty of clothes I can donate as he grew so fast, many very nice, and also more than willing to repay any amount, just can't promise when.

Please, any help at all, anything, is greatly appreciated. Food is first and there is a very cheap store nearby where I can grocery shop. Bills are secondary right now, so believe me, every bit helps. Thanks for reading my story and giving your time and any help you may be able to handle.

Seed Funding

Posted by cljblind on 2011-11-14 06:58:47

I have tried for more than two years to secure employment in the Montrose area where I reside with my husband. I have had no success even after receiving an MBA in business and operations managment.

I have decided to create a job for myself and others but need some help with the financial side of the venture.

The need is to raise $20,000 so we can begin operations. The business will be a small diner and cafe serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Funds will be used for general operations, rent, utilities and inventory for three months to allow the business to grow and become self-sufficient.

I am willing to pay a return on investment from those who seriously are willing to help us create this opportunity.

This is seed funding - please consider helping. For more information on venture please contact me directly.

The business will be located in Western Colorado and we would like to open as soon as possible. We do have some funding but not sufficient to open the diner.

Please help

For those who do not care to use PayPal you can mail a check or money order (USD) to KuntryKitchen Fund - % NVOAF P.O. Box 1016 Montrose, Colorado 81402-1016.

Thank you for caring.

Start up money for coffee and sandwich shop.

Posted by AmyRock on 2011-06-22 17:58:51

My husband and I have bought a building and have done some serious renovations to make a local coffee and sandwich shop that would also provide art classes and music on the weekends. There are 2 very nice apt. above that help make the mortgage. We ran into more problems than we expected renovating the lower half and ran out of the money we saved up. We are about 3/4 of the way there. We were lucky enough to purchase much of our equipment at local auctions (all NSF approved) so our biggest obstacles at this point are supplies for plumbing and some marlite for bathrooms as well as some paint and then money to buy the initial inventory of food. We are so close and don't want to give up now. The other part of our story has to do with my son. A year and a half ago he was run over by a bus. He is doing miraculously well, better than anyone expected and I need the flexibility that owning a small business would allow me for his continued medical treatments. I am lucky to live in a community in which I have many friends who have offered to work shifts in my absence. Everyone here is really excited about the prospect of having a place for artists and families to gather and I'm excited about being able to give back to our wonderful community. Please help our dream to become a reality. If you want to know more about us check out www.javaandjivecoffeehouse.com (my husband is a wonderful webdesigner) and you can read about my son's accident and miraculous recovery at http://www.dailypress.net/page/content.detail/id/517545/Miraculous-recovery.html Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sound business concept needs funding, please help!

Posted by IPage on 2011-04-23 10:58:20

Hello, I am a married woman in my 20's with a small son and one on the way in December. I am currently a stay-at-home mom. I have a BS in business management and economics. I have had a sound business idea for a year but I do not have the extra funds to bring it to reality. It is a niche vending business with relatively low start-up capital, about $5000. I have 4 guaranteed locations lined up and several others I am in talks with. The $5000 pays for the product machine needed for the locations, filing with the state, tax, shipping, and copies of necessary sales materials and contracts. My vending business requires no inventory, employees, office location, or overhead. It is a simple concept (don't want to give too many details online) with the added bonus of being a niche business. My concept is virtually non-existant in my area and the feedback I've gotten so far has been extremely positive. I am willing to give more details if necessary.
This business would help my family in ways you can't understand. Due to an unscrupulous family member, my credit is bad and I cannot apply for a traditional business loan. I would be able to pay off long-standing debts and help relieve my dear husband of financially supporting our family, while also being able to stay at home with our expanding family. I also need this for me. I need to feel like I am contributing positively to my family and to our neighborhood and beyond. I want to put my business knowledge to work and not waste my degrees. I've spent this past year doing my due dilligence and research around my area and based on my findings my business will be extremely successful. I appreciate any and everything you could spare, each dollar brings me that much closer to my dream.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

P.S. what goes around, comes around. I won't forget this and I cannot wait until I can come back to this site as a donor and be able to give back.

unemployed 4 years - out of money - soon out of my home - need help

Posted by mjc102853 on 2011-04-05 12:58:49

I am a 57 year-old unemployed IT professional. Am trying desperately to find any work in my field. Working as an inventory taker ($8.50/hour) - schedule is less than 20 hours/week. I owned an internet cafe from 2003-2007. Widowed in 2006. I have been trying to sell all the excess stock (candles, cups/mugs, artwork, kitchie stuff & much more) since closing. Have used all savings, IRA & all nooks & crannies. Just sold/junked my 1995 Ford Windstar because it needed a complete brake/line job (old car=rusted everything under there). They wanted $600 to fix. I am afraid that after this fix there would soon be more major things to need repair. That's the way it usually goes with old cars. Mortgage company has started foreclosure process & I expect that I cannot fight them without a chunk of money to bring to the table. I have difficulty having yard sales because I am alone - but I want to empty my house of all the excess I bought home when I closed the store. I need money but would also like to know if there is someone or organization I could contact for help organizing/selling all my stuff. I have always taken a back seat to the needs of family & work but now I need help & don't know how I am going to do this. Please help if you can - no donation or information too small. Thank you for considering my request.

I Need Help For My Business.

Posted by Hopeful1 on 2010-12-15 04:58:58

I am a woman who's seeking financing for a small online beauty supply store. I need $5800. to be used for inventory, supplies, fixtures and operating expenses.

I have worked in retail sales and management for over 24 years, and I take this business very seriously. I have managed other people's stores from top to bottom, and I am fully capable of running my own.

Having this business, will allow me to create an opportunity to employ myself, employ others, and become self-sufficient again. That's important to me, because I have been out of work for over a year.

Lack of adequate transportation is what has caused me to be unemployed so long. That experience alone has ignited an awareness within me, of the importance in pursuing a more sustainable career path, where I am more in control of my income--rather than having my income be controlled dependant upon others.

Professionally, I have been struggling for two years, as retail management jobs have been very few in my area. Having this business will allow me to get back on my feet again, and provide a way for me to generate an income, so that I can be self-sufficient again.

I would TRULY appreciate serious inquiries

I am trying to raise $10,000 for the business.

I am looking for help. My fiance spent his life savings on inventory for a business for his parents. His father had a heart attack and cannot work, and his mother slipped and broke her knee cap. He is paying for storage units and our house is falling apart. The insurance company will not pay. We have cracks in the walls and the doors will not close correctly. I am looking for money to help repair the house and pay bills. I just recently lost my teaching position because of cuts in the budget. We tried selling the inventory on Ebay and we had 2 articles in the local newspaper. I can give you links, pictures, etc. The stress is really getting to him. Thank you for your time.
