Desperate for car and minor help with bills

Posted by wifeofdisabled on 2012-05-04 11:58:23

My name is Donna and my husband,Tom,is a disabled diabetic. He has been diabetic for 20 years and for the past 7 years, he has been totally unable to walk. He gets SSI but it is not much. I ork but only for minimum wage. Our car stopped running on Feb. 14 and we do not have the extra finances or credit to be able to buy another one. As a result, he has not been to a doctor since to get refills on his medicines or insulin needles. He is getting sicker every day. I would like to get out and look for a better job but can't do that either. I have to push him in the road if he wants to go anywhere otherwise, I walk to the grocery store to buy food. We are behind in all of our bills but only a little bit. We just need someone would could help us with a car and a little to pay up our bills. This has been really hard on my husband. He feels depressed and useless because there is nothing he can do to help and is basically stuck in the apartment. Without his medicine, it gets worse every day. His blood sugar has been staying over 600 and I have no way to get it back down to an acceptable level. It is causing havoc with the rest of his body also. We desperately need a car to get him help. We have 3 grown sons but two are barely making it themselves and the third is in the National Guard and going through a divorce so he is unable to help also. If you can help or have any questions, feel free to email me at ddmedley@yahoo.com. Thank you and God Bless.

DIABETIC IN NEED OF CASH FOR TREATMENT

Posted by alexkiaboy on 2012-04-22 14:58:17

Hello,
I am a Type 1 diabetic. I have been diabetic for several years now, but I have struggled to cope with the condition. I am not in a good place, but my doctor has told me that by getting an insulin pump, I will be able to handle my condition better and I will be less ill. I need £3000 to buy the pump. If anyone is generous enough, that would be great. This will change my life. I hope that finally my luck in this world will change.
Thanks

I have been homeless on and off for almost 3 years. Even though I do receive food stamps, I have no other income. I am a diabetic and also take psychiatric medications. The insulin and needles are $7.50 each, and my 2 psych meds are $2.50 each, for a total of 20 dollars per month.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

In need of Insulin

Hello My name is Philip McIntire and we are needing help getting insulin and medication for my wife to keep her alive. My wife is a type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump that she has had for 10 yrs. We only have a months supply of insulin left and it is required for my wife to live. I have a full time job, but it does not provide any type of insurance at all. We are living from paycheck to paycheck and when we have to go to the doctor, we have to decide which bills will not get paid that month. Each bottle cost about $120 a piece and it requires a prescription to get it. Each doctors visit is at least $70 just for the visit. Then the insulin alone is almost $500 a month for her to survive. I really love my wife and I want her to live as long as she can. This is a last ditch effort as the other assistance programs have failed due to me having a job. It you can help in anyway possible please email me at philipjmcintire@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for your help!

Please help us get back on our feet

Hello all,

Like so many people on this site everyone is in a bad situation, I too have fallen by the waist side in this economic crisis.

I'm a healthy, young woman who has a family to provide for I am the sole supporter/contributor. They depend on me for everything from shelter, food, clothing, transportation to/from, etc. I became unemployed several months ago because of budget cuts. I took heed to my elder's warning me to save, save, save for a rainy day...well, those rainy days have since turned into months and the bills are piling high up to the ceiling. We are on the verge of being evicted, electricity being turned off (very necessary because two of my family members are diabetic, must keep the insulin cold), not to mention being able to provide the medication for my sick loved ones and the car(which our main source of transportation) being REPO'd.

I have been on it seems like 100 interviews, but to no avail. I have been doing odd jobs here and there, but they come once in a blue moon. Nothing stable has surfaced.

It is a struggle out here. I just ask that you kind people be willing to donate whatever you may have to my family and I. It would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

God Blessed!

Hello, I am a 45 year old single mom of 2 boys, 20 and 16 years. My oldest is a type 1 diabetic on insulin for 16 years and recently celiac disease. He has not had controlled blood sugars for years and has had difficulty finding and keeping a job as he rarely feels well. He was just released from the hospital a week ago due as he went into DKA which has now pushed back his hopes of finding a job and getting out on his own, My 16 year old suffers with bipolar disorder and has had a really rough time trying to deal with not only financial issues, but his brothers illness. I have always worked, but seems I can't get even much less ahead, now my employer has cut my hours to nearly half, I am very close to foreclosure and have never really been to the point I am having a hard time just going to the grocery. I know this will sound silly, but I am wanting to go to school for dog grooming. We are all dog lovers and I have seen just how much having a dog can lift your spirits, help with self esteem and make your life better. However, I simply can't afford to go and hoping someone out there can find it in their heart to help me do this and hopefully include my sons to start a business of my own grooming dogs. I would need $1500 for all tuition and supplies. But would greatly appreciate anything given toward this goal. Thank you for your time and have a blessed day!

Hi,

im a 23 year old woman, married with a mortgage and a full time poorly paid job. i wouldnt do this unless i was absoultly desperate but please here my story.

ive got a special body - i was born with two uteruses and two ovaries. *great your thinking, theres no reason why she cant get pregnant*. unfortunatly i wish that was the case. each ovary is only connected to one womb. only one of my wombs has a passage for "sailors" to do their job. i also have polycystic ovaries (which means i dont ovulate without ibtervention from medication* i was told from being a teenager it would be diffuclt/ dangerous to get pregnant.

on top of that i was also born with severe kidney failure, I only have 1 working kidney and the other one is really tiny with cysts on it. My doctors estimate i will be on dialisis within 10 years if my kidney continues to fail as fast have they have. My kidney function is currently only working at 25%.

i have diabetes type 1 (insulin) and I was also born with a hereditary bones disorder called, Multipul Ephiseal Displasure. i know what your thinking, *theres no way this girl is being serious* well believe me, if could take anyone of these away i would in a heartbeat.

now despite all of this, after 3 years of trying to get pregnant i succeeded dispite what the doctors said. unfortunatly this ended in miscarriage due to my health problems. my world broke, i was depressed for months because my special sweetpea my only dream, had been taken away from me in the most horrific way imaginable.

this was 3 years ago - we still havent been caught pregnant again (bearing in mind sweetpea was nigh on a miracle). we have tried numerous methods and advice and intervention from doctors. doctors are now advising it wouldnt be safe to get pregnant again as the chanes of miscarrage are high and i would more than likely be on dialisys as pregnancy takes it toll on your whole body.. ie kidneys.

im still heartbroken after losing my little miracle and we are now looking to fund 1 round of IVF in a surrogate mum. please help me with our dream. We need roughly £5000.00 to fund the bills and without your help, it would take us roughly 10-15 years to save that amount of money up. we are desen, honest, hardworking people who are doing anything to make their dream a relaity again.

please donate.

In need of new insulin pump

Posted by rnb0814 on 2012-01-21 14:58:26

Hello,
my name is Ryan. I'm 28 years old and I have type 2 diabetes. I currently do not have insurance to pay for what I need medically. I've been doing the best that I can, but within the last 2 weeks my pump is not staying charged and is not sending the correct amount of insulin. A new pump is going to cost me between $2,500 and $3,000. I can not afford it and I really need assistance. Please e-mail me at joearmy65@gmail.com. Thank you and god bless.

Money for Food

Posted by rosed1x on 2012-01-05 00:58:46

I need money for food. I know most people would say I should go to a food bank or get food stamps. I already do get food stamps. I qualify for $14 a month. And I have tried to go to food banks, but because I have medical issues, especially food sensitivities like gluten intolerance and insulin resistance, I cannot eat processed food, like canned or even rice or bread. I am caseine intolerant too, so I can't have cows milk/or powdered milk. I can drink almond milk. Sometimes I starve waiting for my next SSDI check. I'm a simple eater, like mostly just one ingredient foods, but the problem is being able to afford them.

Need Help with Electric or Food

Posted by cntrygrlgray on 2011-11-07 23:58:35

Hello, I have stage 4 colon cancer in both of my lungs along with other health issues. I do not like asking for help and I am sorry for needing to. I have not able to work since being diagnosed with colon cancer in Nov 2005 at the age of 38. I had surgery in Dec 2005 to remove 12 inches of my colon and was never given chemo. In Feb 2006 it was suspected that the cancer had spread to my female organs and I had a full hysterectomy in March 2006. There is no record of any biopsy performed on the massive cysts. In Feb 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer in both lungs. I do chemo treatments as needed to hopefully prolong my life. My doctors said surgery or radiation were not options for me, it would remove to much good lung tissue and cause severe breathing issues or worse. I have diabetes with numbers 200+ and take 6+ shots per day, high blood pressure, hypothyroid, and lower lung disease/COPD. I have been diagnosed with severe Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease which according to my every 3 month CT scans is progressing. My gallbladder and pancreas no longer functioning. I have terrible Neuropathy caused by the chemo and diabetes and I am allergic to Lyrica that might would help.

We are not going to have much of the holidays this year, if at all. I am not worried about that. We moved into this house and have had issue after issue with the heating and ac unit. The homeowners are not doing what they need. We have been paying $400+ electric bills in addition to rent, gas and water/sewer. We have applied for help but have about $15 to much income. We really could use some help with the electric or anything else you choose. I can provide the account numbers and phone numbers if you want, even a few dollars helps a lot.

If you cannot help there we could use help with food and/or personal items. I have hardly been eating for a variety of reasons. One being we do not have a lot of food. I drink a lot of milk, or try to, because it helps my stomach not to hurt and sometimes it is all I can handle. Another reason is I have not had the money for my medications like insulin so I have been doing what I can to keep my sugar down and that means not eating a lot. I am so tired of all of this. We are looking for another house because this one has caused this terrible ordeal with the high bills.

Please if you can help us it would be so appreciated. Thank you for at least reading this.

I NEED HELP URGENT

Posted by Mumsy on 2011-04-11 19:58:49

Please Can you help, this is my story.
Where to begin, my life since I was born has been hell I was adopted at birth kicked out of home at 13 because I was pregnant and had to fiend for myself my son was taken off me from the government as I was too young but at 18 thought I had met the love of my life and had 3 beautiful daughters. That was the relationship from hell after 14 years of violence and beatings I fled with my 3 daughters back to where I came from and decided to start a new life and give my kids a better life. It was a real struggle on my own with no support the kids would go back to their father every holidays until one time they came back and one of my daughters was suicidal and then came the devastating news they had been abused by an uncle from the age of 4 years old to 13, it felt like my heart was ripped out what do I do now. Well I did what was right called the authorities and he was jailed for life and has since died in prison, but the devastation it had on my kids was horrific. They dropped out of school, got in trouble with the police, did drugs, burglaries etc and I had to deal with it all on my own they just got so angry. Since then they have settled down as they have children my oldest is 26 with a 5 year old son she lost her daughter at birth that was another tragedy she still can’t sleep and has nightmares. My youngest has a 3 year old daughter and she gets scared to be alone and my middle daughter the one who was suicidal is 24 with 5 kids under 5 she suffers with bi polar disorder and depends on me 24 7. She has just moved down the road from me so I can have a bit of time but we rotate the kids and she is on my doorstep most of the time. She still gets weary of people and needs me around and has a mean anger problem so I still have to be there for all of them. Anyway my mum felt sorry for us and about 10 years ago helped us buy a cheap home she is 80 years old but about 2 years ago the kids all moved out and left me with the mortgage and I couldn’t afford it. My mum nearly lost her home so to save it I lost mine and my truck and now I am on a benefit renting a house with 40 dollars left a week for food power and petrol which is not happening, I am struggling so bad. In spite of all that I suffer depression and asthma and I am hugely over weight due to diabetes with low insulin and after so many diets because of this cant lose weight. I am so scared I had a mild heart attack about 3 months ago and I want to be around to see my grandchildren grow up and give them what I couldn’t have. My doctor told me I need that operation where they shrink your stomach but that is 30 000 dollars, I cant even raise 10 dollars if I needed it, I don’t know what to do I have bailiffs and bills coming out of my eyeballs plus my health. Please can someone help me this is just a brief story I could practically write a whole book of my life but every cent would help. I just want to enjoy the next few years I have with my grandkids and be happy. I have a PayPal account and my e mail address is Carolk@slingshot.co.nz. May God Bless whoever may read this Thanks.
