CANNOT COUNT ON FAMILY

Posted by jasond on 2012-05-22 15:58:53

My name is Jason. I am a hardworking 28 year old married man with three wonderful children 7, 4, and 1 month old, and the best wife anyone could ever ask for. When I and my wife married we were “given” my parents’ home in NY along with the mortgage as a wedding present. My wife and I have spent the last three years renovating this home, dumping every single cent we had into its improvement. We both come from broken homes and both wanted something more than what we came from, and have managed to build a loving stress free environment for our family, and in a matter of a month my “family” (brother, mother and father) have managed to crush our dream out of selfishness and this, “the world owes me something” mentality they all seem to have.
I work full time and also do side jobs on weekends to make ends meet, my wife has been out of work on disability (she will return full time in the next 3 weeks) due to the birth of our son, which should be the happiest time of our life, and yet I get to go home and see my children upset wondering why there uncle is acting the way he is, I get to see my wife cry over the fact that we have been basically reminded that even though we pay the bill and we fix this home and have made it what it never was for me growing up an actual home, that it is not ours and we should have no say over what happens.
My brother who at one time made hundreds of thousands of dollars a year an selfish heartless drug addict, who even though has never treated me or my family with any respect I have always dropped what I am doing regardless of time or place to go “save him”, and by save usually picking his drug addict ass up and making sure he gets home, or dropping what I’m doing to take him to the hospital cause he is so sick from whatever he has taken this time. Now that brother has decided to move in with us, not ask, not offer to help, but blatantly tell me and my wife, “it’s not your house , I am not asking permission to stay here”, and my parents who told me this home was a “Wedding gift” seem to agree. They feel it’s okay for a drug addict to be living among children, that it’s okay that slowly one by one pieces of my wife’s jewelry are disappearing, or that since he came has literally taken over my infant sons nursery with his disgusting belongings that I found my wife sitting on the floor of the living room trying to feed the baby because he’s asleep on the sofa passed out cold and his belonging are strewn all over the house.
My only options are to buy this home that I and my wife have built a great life in so I can say who stays and goes, or to uproot my children and move as far from these selfish disgusting people as possible.
In order to purchase this home I would need a deposit upwards of 12000 which due to me draining my accounts my sons accounts and my wife’s to “save” my brother from jail, drug dealers, etc., we have nothing left. Which has led me here, led me to the point where I feel more dependent on asking strangers for help than my own family because they can’t even help themselves? I am the little brother (youngest of four) who has always had to be the big brother, I am the one one whose entire family drops there problems in my lap as if to say deal with it. I have been the pillar supporting every single family member I have for the last 28 years, the pillar has finally cracked and can’t hold up the weight of the world anymore. I am begging on my hands and knees for help from completer strangers so I can continue to give my children the life I never had, and offer them some stability instead of having to tear them from the home they have come to love, that my wife has come to love, that I love. I want to give my children the world but my family continues to assure that won’t happen under there watch. Please I beg of you with everything I am I need help. Please don’t make us just another statistic, I found my calling and made a life for my wife and children, I have put aside pride, because they are all that matters to me. Thank You for taking the time to read this and thank you for any support or help you can provide.

Unfair water bill, lying landlord

Posted by AnnieOh on 2012-05-16 02:58:15

Hi,
We moved into this house a year ago. The first water bill was almost 4x what it should have been for a small family of 3, and was $450 dollars instead of our $80 previous household water bill. We paid it, over the next 6 months, and made sure to use as little as we ever could. We've just got another one saying its $680 this time.
We think there is something dodgy going on. The house is old, very old, and the pipes are rusty. When we told The landlord he sent out his brother who is a plumber, and said that was the end of it. But we think he is not fixing the pipe because it is cheaper for him to just pass on the huge water bills to us.
We are a very low income family, we have an infant son, we can barely afford rent and food, and we have been given 2 weeks to pay or be kicked out. Please help, we have noone else.

Payment to put down my cat

Posted by AnnieOh on 2012-05-16 02:58:10

I really need some help. Over the last year, our cat Millie has gotten horribly sick. She's 15 years old, and has a whole variety of illnesses including tumors, artheritus, and a bad leg. She's in so much pain, and i've begged our vet to let us put her down and he said he agrees but he won't do it for free. We can't afford to pay the bill, we have an infant son and live in a poor area, we both work full time (me nights and his father days) and we have nothing. Please help...

Please help with Medical Bills

Hello. In July, 2010, my husband Theo was diagnosed with West Nile Virus and Encephalitis causing him to lose his motor skills and become an infant in a 40 yr old body. The virus is gone, but the effects linger. He has been out of work for almost 21 months. We live in Orlando, FL and Theo has been receiving treatment in St Louis, MO for the last 7 weeks. The treatments are working and the Dr wants to keep him for another 6 weeks. We are trying to raise $3000 to cover the costs of his stay, the Dr visits and his flight home. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am happy to report that I have been blessed with working overtime and we are down to the last $1,150 that we need to finish paying the bills. Any Help is appreciated!! THANK YOU!

You can follow his recovery on Tumblr at www.theocurtisrecovery.tublr.com

Thank you in advance for your consideration!!

Help an Infant with food

This is a Donation listing to help my family - specifically my infant son - be able to save for college and get the healthy food he needs.

This is one donation you will give that you will know goes to the right place!

My husband and I are a 30 year old couple. We moved to NY State to start a life together - and did not plan to have children right away until we were financially secure.

My husband is a computer technician and he tries his best to support myself and our new addition.

Obviously our priorities have changed - and while it was easy to skimp during hard months when it was just the two of us, skimping on our babies health and education is simply something we can not live with.

Saving for college is something that we have tried to start doing immediately - since there is no way we would be able to afford it otherwise.

Having to choose between putting money into his NY 529 or buying healthier food is tearing us up.

Any donations to this listing will go directly into his 529 account. This will help ease our debt and allow us to get the proper food and clothing he needs.

In this hard economy, any donation is extremely appreciated - even 99 cents!

God Bless.

PS - as an after thought - any donations are tax write-offs.

Posted by jojosmom on 2012-03-13 23:58:30

Hi. I am a 24 year old college graduate. Last year I moved into a two bedroom place with my fiance and infant son. However 4 months ago my mom lost her job so she and my 10 year old sister moved in with us. It was crowded and my boyfriend didn't want my mom here so he broke up with me and moved out. Both my mom and I have been looking for work but we have not found any. She does hair from our house but it is not enough to cover the rent. We owe 1100 for the month of March plus 400 of back rent. Please help us keep hour home! WE have nowhere else to go!!

Please help with money and/or prayers

Hello I'm posting here because I don't know where else to turn and there is little hope. I guess a quick background I was divorced and left with all of the debt. A few years later I met a girl who like me was abandoned by her ex but only she had a an infant. We fell in love and became a family. She was riddled with debt a well. I am trying to support this family while paying off a $30,000 debt at the same time. $5,000 of which is owed to the IRS by 4/15. I am starting to lose hope but I am trying to stay strong for this little girl. I dream everyday of being able to overcome and provide a safe place for us to call home permanently; but right now it looks like I could lose everything. I am asking for any kind of help, even prayers not just money. To everybody in he same shoe as I am, I will give my prayers as well and if I should ever overcome....I give my word to come back and help. Thank you for your time.

Wanting a Baby Girl

Posted by mummylove5 on 2012-02-01 20:58:17

We lost our 8 1/2 month old baby girl 2 weeks ago by SIDS. My heart is absolutely shattered, I miss her smell, her touch and caring for her.
I have 4 sons and our baby girl was the icing on the cake for the family! I am dearly wanting to fly to the US to have Gender Selection as I would love to have another baby Girl. I'm not wanting to replace our daughter but to fill that hole in my heart and to feel love again. I got a taste for what it was like to have a daughter, and it was absolutely wonderful.

Please help an infant in need

Hello My Name is Mary and I currently care for my Mother who is diabetic, and a 17 year old sister who is a single mommy to her 3 month old baby girl. Unfortunately baby Natalie wasn't blessed with perfect health. We've made several trips to the emergency room since they've released her from the hospital, due to her breathing problems and fevers. I'm desperately asking you help with a small donation, For pampers, wipes, medication and clothing.

With the pride of being a aunt for the first time i feel so heartbroken to see this little precious baby girl stay up all night crying restlessly. She is so adorable but so tiny since she was born 2 months premature. My sister, was a diabetic during her pregnancy and had high blood pressure which is why Natalie is so vulnerable she could get sick really easy, the care for this infant is 24/7 and I'm proud of my sister for dedicating her life to her child. I just want to show her that she doesn't need to drop out of high school just because of life's struggles I tell her that Natalie came into her life to make her a stronger woman.

Although i do not know you I want to thank you just for hearing me weather your able to help me or not god bless you. And if you are able to make any amount of a donation we would forever be grateful. Thank You So Very Much!

Help Me Visit My Grandmother

Posted by supergmom on 2012-01-04 15:58:30

I am a working mother of 2 children. My husband and I both have jobs to make ends meet. My grandmother (who raised me since I was an infant) is very ill after suffering a stroke. She lives in Bacolod, Philippines and I haven't had the funds to be able to take my family to visit her and see her for one last time. The plane ticket alone for the 4 of us is abotu $4000 plus expenses of being there to spend time with her. Please help me get there and help me to give my children and me the opportunity to see her one last time. Thank you.

piano lessons and tuition

I am taking care of my 4 year old grandson. He is an extremely intelligent child, reading on a first grade level. He has shown an interest in music since he was an infant. In September, I placed him in some piano lessons. His music teacher was so impressed with him, she included him in the music school's holiday recital. She tells me my grandson has great potential, both in academics, and music. I would like to place him in school which would allow him to excel in both. I can not afford tuition and lessons for him on my income. Any donations would really be appreciated.

Need to pay Rent, Water, and Power ASAP

Posted by Daisie83 on 2011-08-05 02:58:37

Hello,

I really need my Rent and Power taken care of. My rent is due on
the 5th today or I will receive a 3 day pay or vacate. The rent is 1029.
My water bill is 80 dollars. I owe Puget Power 500 and have received a
shut off notice. I just gave birth to twins and they were born at 34 weeks.
I just got both of them homefrom the Infant Care Unit today. The babies
being premature and havingissues with their heart rate I need to be careful
with them and keep them away from germs and a lot of people. I also have
a 2 yr old. If we lose this apartment we will have no place to go. My fiance
just started a job a week ago so we have not received a check yet. We only
need help this once. Since he has a job we will be fine on bills. I have
always worked and taken care of my family. I am just going through a
rough time. We have tried getting loans and asking family but we are
not having any luck. If you are reading my post please help me. I am
trying to be a great mother and take care of my children.

Thank you for your time,

Carrie

from the Infant Care Unit today. The babies being premature and having issues with their heart rate I need to be careful with them and keep them away from germs and a lot of people. I also have a 2 yr old. If we lose this apartment we will have no place to go. My fiance just started a job a week ago so we have not received a check yet. We only need help this once. Since he has a job we will be fine on bills. I have always worked and taken care of my family.
I am just going through a rough time. We have tried getting loans and asking family
but we are not having any luck. If you are reading my post please help me. I am
trying to be a great mother and take care of my children.

Thank you for your time,

Carrie

So for the best interest for my family I have recently moved over 900 miles from my family and my wifes family with our two boys and july 1st came our first daughter and last child. Seeing as how I did not want to miss my daughters birth or leave my wife stranded at the house alone with a 7yr old 1 yr old and 5 day old infant I had to take time off work. This time was unpaid and me being the only one working and only making $10.75 an hour it is hard enough to pay my bills when I work my normal shceduled days. I normally find myself working 72 to 84 hours a week to make it by. I rarely swallow my pride and ask for help but this last week off work has put me into a deep hole and fear that a downward trend in money is going to follow. Please help I work my butt off to support my family and can't get help anywhere else. I along with my three kids and wife would be eternally grateful and will not forget the help. What goes around comes around. if you wish to contact me the best way is my work email johnathon.shanks@qg.com
Thank you
