Post a Beg Now!

If Only I Saw It Coming!!

Because I believe in the power of prayer & the kindness of my fellow man, I've decided to swallow my pride & ask for help. This is not an action I am at all familiar with but am grasping at every straw to attempt to keep a roof over my family's head. We live in a modest house that we've called home for the past 20+ years.

I am a single mother who's been truly blessed with 4, beautiful, healthy children; 3 biological & a foster son that joined our family when he was 12…..he is now 23. My kids are the reason I continue to battle through what has been the most challenging, darkest phase of my 50 years on this Earth.

In the summer of 2011, life, as my family knew it, was forever changed. My son got off the school bus & proceeded to enter a crime scene upon opening the front door of the house we call home. It was immediately clear that we were victims of a daytime home invasion and robbery. A trail of splinters led straight to my bedroom door, which had been demolished in the process of gaining entrance & access to my personal belongings. Robbers took my box of trash bags & proceeded to fill them with anything that could be sold or traded. I came home to find that they had stolen everything of value that I had worked for in my 50 years of existence & everything of value that my kids cherished as well.

It didn't happen often, but on the occasion that I had a few extra dollars to spend on myself, I found pleasure in buying nice jewelry. Through the years, I had managed to accumulate a nice collection. Also, as a child, my father & I shared an interest in coin collecting. I had managed to hold on to several interesting coins my dad & I found. Weekly, he also, gave me & my brothers our allowance of a fifty cent piece each. I had somehow managed to hold on to many of these as well. I stored my coin collection in the bottom portion of my large armoire. This area is what my family referred to as "the safe." Anything of value, particularly sentimental, was given to me to be protected in the safe. A couple good examples are my, then, 10 year old son's game ball for hitting the Championship game winning grand slam home run & my daughter's horse riding medals, show jewelry & accessories, as well as a silver handled knife & sheath…….the only personal possession my foster son owned from his childhood. I carry a tremendous amount of guilt for not doing a better job of safe guarding my family's precious & dear possessions.

In addition to the lingering guilt, the robbery also resulted in life altering psychological effects to me & my family. I continue to wonder if & when I will ever fully recover & be the secure, self confident person I was before the robbery. Immediately following the break-in, I was consumed by finding out who was responsible & ways of obtaining this information…..I could think of nothing else. After several weeks of frantic guessing & running wild goose chases, I started to realize that regaining possession of my property was less likely as each day went by. I could feel myself falling into a dark, lonely place with deep despair…..& unfortunately, I was content to be there. For the next several months, I could not work, did not eat or sleep & rarely came out of my bedroom. There was a film in my head that ran & reran the events leading up to & immediately following the robbery…..filled with the "I should've"s, "I could've"s and "what ifs." I am plagued with distrust & no longer find interest in much of anything. I was robbed of far more than just pieces of property…..they stole my trust in mankind, my desire to thrive, my faith in the world & my sanity.

I have worked as a medical school curriculum manager for 21 years. As a result of my mental decline, I was unable to work for over three months which, consequentially, made it difficult to pay all of the bills. I managed to rob Peter to pay Paul for several months & kept up with everything except for my house payment. It is now in arrears nearly $5,000.00 & I am out of resources. For the first time in my life, I am facing foreclosure. It is embarrassing & humiliating & I don't know how to tell my kids that they are likely to have no place to call home in the very near future. I feel like such a failure! Even though I've been an exemplary employee for many years, as a consequence of the self doubting & tremendous stress, I am now faced with the strong potential of losing my job due to my inability to focus & my lack of desire to face each day, As if this wasn't enough for one person to handle, I am also witnessing the daily decline of my father & my hero due to end stage Parkinson's & Alzheimer's.

I'm not sure how this begging website works but if there is someone out there that is willing to make me a loan & work out a payment arrangement, I promise not to let you down.....you will be repaid! I am working hard to battle the persisting PTSD symptoms that continue to plague me. I just worry that facing homelessness may be more than I can handle. Lord, I hand it over to You coz I come to You a broken, wounded angel. I thank you for any consideration and appreciate all prayers. May God bless you many times & in many ways for your generosity & kindness!

Heartfelt Plea from Broken & Wounded Angel

We need help with taxes

Posted by nt1962 on 2012-02-17 15:58:59

We desperately need your help! We are a small church located in an economically disadvantaged community. We own a house that was deeded over to us by a former pastor and are at risk of losing that property because of our inability to pay some past due taxes on the property.

The house was deeded to the church over 30 years ago by a former pastor of the church who had become ill and subsequently passed away. The house is not located in the same community as the church. (In fact, it is some distance away from the church, and therefore could not be utilized for church-related purposes which would have taken it off of the tax roll). As a result of gentrification in that community, the property values have increased tremendously. The property tax assessment for the property owned by the church escalated to staggering heights during the housing bubble.

Because of this the church has had much difficulty keeping up with all of the taxes on the property (a general tax, a school tax, and a village tax). The rental income from the property is used to assist the church with operating expenses, maintenance of all of the church properties, as well as paying the taxes. Finally, reassessment in the last couple of years has brought down the amount of taxes to be paid and we are better able to handle some of the current taxes due, but some of the older taxes were sold and consolidated in tax lien sales. The consolidation of the prior taxes due has hurt us tremendously. Numerous times the unpaid taxes were consolidated prior to our completion of raising enough funds to pay off some of them in their unconsolidated state. Individually some were $1,000 to $3,000 respectively. They have been consolidated totaling almost $19,000. We are not permitted to pay the liens individually which was viable, we have to pay them in total.

There is a holding company based in the community where the house is located which purchased those liens. That company is now a few months away from being able to begin foreclosure proceedings and take a valuable piece of real estate out from under the church. This would be devastating to the church.

The church has been in the process of trying to sell the house and use the proceeds from the sale to build a much needed new church building in the community it is located as well as to pay off those outstanding liens at closing, and to unload a property that was once a blessing to the church, but has long since become a burden. We don’t want to lose the property. We want to be able to sell it. We had some offers on the house, but at the last minute a promising deal fell through. Previously interested buyers, for some reason now, are less interested. We feel it is possible that there may some collusion within the community where the house is located to wait for the lien process to move forward and that potential purchasers connected with the holding company will be able to take the property and flip it to tremendous financial advantage, while leaving the church with nothing for thirty years of struggling to take care of the property.

It is important that we are allowed to sell the house and build our new church. We are in the final stages of making the new building a reality. All we have to do is secure the construction financing. Receipt of a commitment letter for the sale of the house is all that stands in the way of a 40+ year dream for the congregation. It would give us the down-payment that we need to move forward.

With the construction of a new church, we would be able to operate before and after school programs, have handicap accessible restrooms, and provide better services to the community. We have a senior citizens housing complex across the street from our church, and many of the residents would attend our church but they are unable to climb up and down the stairs to the single-person restrooms in the basement. We also operate a summer day camp which would benefit greatly from having more space in which to operate. We would be able to accommodate many more youngsters, many of whose families are unable to afford the other summer camps operating in the area. We have had to turn down prospective campers because of space constraints.

Our congregational makeup has changed over the years. The financial impact of that changed has been coupled with the severe impact of the economic downturn on our community. We have more retirees now on fixed income, youth, and small children, many of whom have young mothers, and some people who are working age, mostly with working class wages. We need to build a church to better meet the needs of our congregation and community. We operate a food pantry and soup kitchen which would be able to open more days a week with bigger pantry space and a modern commercial kitchen.

As I stated, we are in the final stages of the building project. We have our permits, plans, and contractor selected. We are ready to obtain financing. The congregation, which has always striven to do much with little, has invested much in this projected over the years and the sale of this property owned by the church is the one thing that stands in the way of it happening. Please do not let us lose this property just so a few people can make a quick buck. Help us to pay off these tax liens so that our church will be able to help transform an entire community!

help me fulfill my dream and ride the waves

Posted by jexrex1098 on 2012-01-30 23:58:05

This is why I'm posting here:

I am 25 and for my entire life, I have been fat. I don't mean this as in, a little on the chubby side; but obese. I can remember being in 5th grade, when our class had to get weighed and measured at the nurses office. The sinking feeling in my gut that came up when I weighed almost 200 lbs at the age of 10 is something that I don't think I will entirely forget.

Because of my horrible diet as a child (McDonalds, soda, you name it), I have spent my entire young life coping with being overweight and all of the horrible things that go with it: wondering if I'll fit in a seatbelt, wondering if I would break a friends bed or chair if I sat on it, or never being able to find a cute outfit to wear like all the other girls. When I was about 14, I was diagnosed with PCOS, which is cysts on my ovaries (contributing to my obesity, or as a result of, but they worked in tandem to make my life miserable). Without health insurance, I was never able to get this issue resolved, and with my poor diet, my weight increased. PCOS symptoms also include abnormal facial and body hair, which was (and to a degree still is) the bane of mine and any woman's existence. A woman should never have to feel so ashamed of her own body, and yet that is exactly how I've felt for as long as I've realized that I was different, and that looks mattered.

My highest weight as of 4 months ago topped out at 324 (thought I had reached 340 a year earlier but had lost some weight over a long period of time). Recently I began taking HCG (a hormone that helps regulate fertility and also helps with weight loss), and am amazed to report that for the first time in my adult life, I am 270 lbs. While this still is a lot, for me it is an incredible number to be at. Never in my life have I felt the fear of dying at 30 begin to be lifted, though I still have a long way to go.

So the point of my request: there are a lot of dreams I have that I feel like I am within reach of grasping. Some of them have already been fulfilled: I have been able to travel with my family, and this past year my parents helped me to finance a jeep. This is a huge one...I live on the west coast and have always wanted to live a surfer/beach lifestyle.

But how could a fat girl ever be a surfer? It's been my dream for the past 10 summers to learn to surf, with beaches only 15 minutes away. But every year, the fear stopped me, my weight stopped me, my inability stopped me.

I want this year to be the last year fear gets in the way.

With my weight going down, I've been trying to exercise. I've been attempting a modified version of P90X, and have been eating healthy and avoiding all the foods that got me where I am today. The problem is that financially, while I do work full time, I barely make enough to cover my bills (gas, car insurance, car payment, cell phone), and am not even able to help my hard working parents pay rent. So money for extras this summer is not really possible, but I CAN'T let another year go by without accomplishing this task.

I want to attend a surf camp this summer in San Diego, called Surf Divas. The problem? Surf lessons are expensive. I think to get me on the right path, I'd need at least 10 hours of lessons. At $82 an hour, thats $820.

The reason I want to fulfill this dream is to prove to myself and others that no matter where you've been, or how far your body is from being in shape, that the human body is remarkably capable of change. I would want to encourage anyone who doesn't think they are the right "type" to surf or do a sport that they can push their bodies to do things they never thought possible. And I sincerely believe that learning to surf will help me pursue my health and fitness goals long term, as well as truly set free the earth-and-sea-loving hippie that I keep snug and close to my soul. I live for summer and the ocean...and being able to ride a way would be life changing for me.

If anyone is able to donate or help support me in taking charge of my health and fitness...there would be no adequate way to thank you. I will send you a picture of me riding my very first wave as a token of gratitude, with a friendship bracelet made by me with a few shells from the beach strung on it. My way to say thank you for helping me to live a healthy life.

I'm a giver who rarely gets, but if you could change that, I would be most grateful.

Disabled over 3 years seeking help with housing and transportation

Posted by CyberNeedy on 2011-12-27 01:58:03

Thank you for even reading this because if you have then you are seeking to help people in need and you must have a wonderful heart. I have in recent years reached out to orphaned children in both Uganda and Mexico who needed me so I have no problems with asking for some help myself at this time.

After 3 years of back and forth with Social Security, I finally was approved for federal disability. Thankfully, I can move forward with testing and treatments to figure out what is causing the multiple symptoms disabling me. My sole desire is to get well enough to return to work in at least some capacity. Now I have some savings from back disability owed but not quite enough to finally purchase my own home. I am looking to purchase a modest home that is manageable for me in my condition. One that is safe and secure for me and my toy poodle who deserves something nice. Although I have enough for a decent down payment, my credit has suffered due to my inability to work. My medical bills went straight to my credit report as being unpaid while I waited for SSDI approval and Medicare approval. My credit score is below 600 and I cannot get a loan. I have $20,000 I can put toward my very first home ever. My goal is to get my $20,000 matched in order for me to purchase a small home/condo for approximately $40,000. My income is $955/mo and I still need to find suitable transportation also. My last vehicle was basically stolen by a predatory towing service and I was incapacitated at the time due to my disability and later was unable to afford retrieving the vehicle because of outrageous storage fees. Currently family members are taking me everywhere which can sometimes be more difficult than helpful. I A modest reliable vehicle is what I need. My individual goal is to become self sufficient and self reliant once again...get healthy and go back to work. Any help with the above items would be much appreciated. If I were in a better position I believe I too would be searching to help those in similar situations as mine.

At the bottom of the barrel!

Greetings. I am a 55 year old male who has worked his whole life since the age of 13 until January 31, 2009. On that day I was injured at work where I was a supervisor. The fall resulted in two shoulder surgeries over a period of 16 months. End result is that I can no longer do the work I have done my whole life. Worker's Comp ran out well over a year ago. I have some disabilities but not enough to qualify for SSI or SSID. I managed to get some funding to attend Computer Tech school, and have three certifications done and working on my forth. There is about six more months of schooling. With no income, I have been living off of my savings, but my savings is gone. I can not pay my simple bills, rent, electric, water and such. I have sold my car...and use the public transportation system to go to school and back. I am looking at becoming homeless with no way to continue my education as scheduled due to this inability. There is no local help for "cash"... I do get some food assistance, but that is it. No community resources are available for those who are attending school for help with bills. In the past, I have donated and contributed to many persons and causes as I used to make excellent money in the construction field, but now I find myself in the dire need of what I once gave freely with no thought of return. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Blessings to you and yours this holiday season.

I do get assistance for my Diabetes and Blood Pressure medications, so that is a blessing.

81 yr old dad needs $3000.00 toward $10,000.00 BGE Bill

Posted by amazingrace on 2011-12-07 12:58:45

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this. My dad's gas has been cut off in his home and he has no hot water. His electric is still on however if he doesn't pay BG&E $3000.00 by December 16, 2011, they are going to cut his electric off as well. He defaulted on a recent agreement w/BG&E due to his inability to afford food and medication plus pay his utility bills and apparently if you default once on an arrangement w/BG&E, there are no second chances. My sister and I just became aware of this situation and can't possibly come up with that much money in such little time. We have no one to turn to to ask for a loan and our credit isn't good enough to qualify for a loan. We are in the process of applying for help through the energy assistance programs in Maryland and calling every available option that helps with this type of situation. We will pay back any money that we receive over a period of time in weekly installments of $100.00 if you are fortunate to be in a position to please help us. You can send any amount at all, even just a dollar or two if that is all you can afford, every little bit will be greatly appreciated and will be helpful, directly to BG&E. The account # is 02429-97137, or deposit the money into my paypal acct. Please include your info so that we can repay you, i.e your email address or your paypal info if you have an acct w/paypal, or whatever means you choose for us to repay, maybe you need help w/something and we could help you by donating our time or anything at all. God bless and watch over you.

I can’t believe my life has come to this. First and foremost, it is important to know that I am a hardworking, responsible individual. I love going to work every day as a child and family therapist knowing that I have the ability to help make positive changes in others’ lives. I also, for whatever reason, feel very uncomfortable asking for help. I don’t think I have ever asked anyone for financial help in my life, let alone a “donation”. I was always taught that if you want something…. YOU WORK FOR IT! I have had a job since I was 13 yrs old and it taught me to appreciate the value of the dollar and hard work. But what happens when you physically can’t? My values speak to who I was, who I am and who I want to be and why I am worthy of your help.
• Be respectful, giving, loving and kind to others.
• Treat others as you would want to be treated.
• First and foremost dedication to my family and friends
• If you want something, you have to work for it because nothing in life is free
• Work hard and you can achieve anything you set your mind to
• If you believe in something, be passionate about it
• Love what you do for work – Life is too short
• Do not be selfish, but selfless – be there or give to others as much as you can
Resilient for many years –struggling through a childhood of undiagnosed ADHD - low self esteem, disruptive and impulsive behaviors, poor attention, disorganization, ambivalence about making life decisions, flunking out of college my freshman yr at 18 yo (which led to me having to pay any subsequent schooling on my own), moving and attending a new school at the beginning of my 8th grade year with a scoliosis brace that had to be worn 23 hours a day, having major surgery at 14 yo and missing 3 months of my freshman yr. As an adult, moving from NJ to Ma away from my family who I was extremely close to due to a marriage that didn’t work, losing my father to cancer and watching him waste away in front of me and feeling helpless. I did return to school as an adult committed to helping others and figuring out my own insecurities. Over 7 yrs (25-32 yrs old) received my bachelors degree from Rutgers University with high honors and my masters in clinical social work from Columbia University also with honors.
I know what I am capable of and I know how much I have to give to others. But at this point in my life, I also need to be honest with myself about my physical limitations.
When I was 12 yo I was diagnosed with a severe case of scoliosis and had to wear a body brace for 1 ½ yrs. Bad timing, I guess… I had just moved and was starting my 8th grade yr in a new school. Two yrs later (1983) I had major reconstructive surgery (14 hours, in a body cast 6 mos, couldn’t ride in a car or sit for more than 15 mins a day for 3 mos) and my spine was fused from T3 to L4 – all at 14 yo! Over the years, my back problems were just “part of my life”. Now at 43 I am disabled and in need of another major surgery due to collapsed discs that are compressing the nerves in my lower back. The pain I endure is affecting my ability to sit, stand or walk to any period of time. I had to leave my last job as an outpatient therapist a couple of years ago due to my inability to commit to a schedule because of my pain. I have been taking pain pills, which I do not want to become addicted to and have worked out an arrangement with a caring chiropractor. Not to mention at work I have kids, teens and their families who depend on me to help them, some of who I don’t charge because they can’t afford it. So, my schedule is minimal, my bills are racking up and I continue to try to help people sometimes at my own expense (physical). I have no health insurance because I can’t afford it, I live in a 800 square foot apartment that I share and I drive a 1998 Nissan Maxima that has over 200,000 miles on it! I don’t have “things” because I don’t NEED material things. It kills me to ask for help, especially monetary. It’s hard for me to accept help but I have no problem giving, lending or helping other people. My friends say that I give “too much”, but I feel that if I have it to give or I can do something to help someone else be happier, less stressed or more comfortable than I will. And I’ve been taken advantage of many times because of this – for example, 3 yrs ago, I lent a co-worker $5000 to assure that as a single mother she would have a dependable car for her and her 3 kids. She has not paid me anything yet. Gave another friend my car for 2 weeks to use because her car was in the shop and she couldn’t afford a rental. It was definitely an inconvenience, having to walk to and from work a mile, having to way to run errands until the weekend, etc. But I did it because I knew how much it meant to her and how much it helped. I then find myself thinking … who will be my angel when I need one?? And I do…. Please, please help!! I don’t have a choice right now. I need surgery, physical therapy/personal training in order to continue working for others. Thank you so much for any contribution you can make! God Bless!
College Loans: $60,000
Surgery: $250,000

Be respectful, giving, loving and kind to others.
Treat others as you would want to be treated.
First and foremost dedication to my family and friends
If you want something, you have to work for it because nothing in life is free
Work hard and you can achieve anything you set your mind to
If you believe in something, be passionate about it
Love what you do for work – Life is too short
Do not be selfish, but selfless – be there or give to others as much as you can
Resilient for many years –struggling through a childhood of undiagnosed ADHD - low self esteem, disruptive and impulsive behaviors, poor attention, disorganization, ambivalence about making life decisions, flunking out of college my freshman yr at 18 yo (which led to me having to pay any subsequent schooling on my own), moving and attending a new school at the beginning of my 8th grade year with a scoliosis brace that had to be worn 23 hours a day, having major surgery at 14 yo and missing 3 months of my freshman yr.
God Bless!

BUT I DESPERATELY NEED TO GET A PLACE OF MY OWN, AND TRY TO GET BACK ON MY FEET AGAIN. GOD HAS NEVER LEFT MY SIDE AND THAT IS HOW I AM ABLE TO GET BY DAY BY DAY. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.

Out of work, $50,000 worth of useless student loans

Posted by outofluck76 on 2011-07-15 19:58:03

I went to college with the unrealistic expectation of finding a job that will allow me to pay off my student loans. I have tried for 2 years to find something will allow for this, but to no avail. What college recruiters don't tell you is that getting into the IT field is next to impossible without already having at least 2 years job experience. The transmission on our only car recently went out and are unable to get another loan because of our low income. I just want to get back on my feet so that I can find another job without having to rely on others for transportation. Even if it is another low paying job that I could have gotten without going $50,000 in debt. The worst part is that $20,000 of it is all interest due to my inability to pay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ever done something stupid?

Posted by momwithfaith on 2011-06-22 11:58:16

I know, all of us have. But you know that sinking, desperate feeling when you realize it? Well, as they say, hindsight is 20/20...

I'm a 37 year old mother of 2. I left my husband a few months ago due to his inability to put family first. He was spending all of our money to support his addiction to pain pills. Long story shorter, when the kids and I moved out, he said it was a huge wake-up call for him and that he realized how badly he had messed up. He got off the pills (or at least quit buying other than his actual monthly prescription from his doctor) and told me how sorry he was and how much he wanted help and to change.

Given that we have been married almost 9 years, I thought I owed our relationship another chance - without the influence of his habit or having to constantly worry about how we would get by. A little over a month and a half ago I allowed him to move into my house. Since that time, things have steadily regressed. I have caught him in lies a few times about money, and am now facing losing my car because he used my payment for himself instead of taking it to the car lot. I also found out that he is once again letting pain pills rule his life.

I've had enough! However, I'm stuck relying on him to help with the bills right now until I start my new job in mid-July (I was laid-off this month from the job I had).

I want to do the right thing for my children and for myself. I don't only blame my husband - I blame myself as well for allowing things to get to be the way they are. I don't intend to wallow in self-pity though. I want him out, and I plan to make a better life for me and my kids. I just need a little help getting there...

Any money that I receive will go to pay my rent and utilities, and to buy groceries. I am taking classes and will be licensed soon as an insurance agent. I am not one to sit around and just rely on others to pay my way, I just need help getting through a rough patch.

It is my sincere hope that I will be able to help others in need as well. I truly believe in paying it forward. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any amount that you are able to donate. May God bless you and yours.

Please help - food for my children!

Hi All,

Times are hard for many now - I appreciate you reading this. I'm posting in the hopes that someone out there might be able to send along a couple of dollars so that tomorrow I might get to the grocery store for my two girls. We have completely run out!

We are hardworking - never been unemployed in 15 years - homeowners that are foreclosing due to my husbands inability to find work in his trade (construction) because of the state of the economy. He is searching so hard for work. We are not making it on my wages alone.

I would never consider posting on a site like this but today my little one asked for a sandwich and I stared into the empty shelves of the fridge unable to find anything she'd agree to eat.

Thank you! Once we get out of this situation I am promising myself that I will always donate a portion of what I make to help those in need. I really understand now what it is like. I dont think I ever would have before.

Thanks so much!

Disabled Grandmother Raising Special Needs Child please help

Posted by cantbelieveimdoingthis on 2011-04-18 11:58:45

I am so ashamed to do this, but my shame wont allow me to make my Granddaughter suffer. I am a Grandmother with lupus, fibromyalgia, celieac disease (that is affecting my heart, lungs, kidneys) attempting to raise a beautiful eight year old little girl who has extreme issues from her memories after having been rescued from a home in which her father was making drugs. I address her emtional issues by creating the most peaceful environment possible, but my inability to even keep the electric on this month and the fact that my husband left and moved to TX, taking the car with him, has left me completely without resources and a shutoff notice on water and electric. Only complete desparation would drive me to have come to this website and any help that anyone can offer will be GREATLY appriciated and wisely used. Thank you. I feel a little better just knowing that I now someone else knows. Thank you. Thank you.

Disabled and out of work

Posted by MiniMoo on 2011-02-27 23:58:08

I've been unemployed for more than a year now. I'm applying for jobs even though all of my mental and 2 physical disabilities make it hard to get one and impossible to keep one. I have COPD and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that make it hard to work, but the mental illnesses make it even harder to get or keep a job. Most days, I can't shaking at all and I can usually only last 2 or 3 hours without crying. I have Major Depression and almost every kind of anxiety disorder that exists. The social phobias make it almost impossible to get a job because I can't make eye contact with anyone except friends and family and I'm so nervous around people that I don't know that I become completely mute sometimes. Sometimes I can talk if someone talks to me first, but sometimes I can't talk until I've communicated enough through text and email that I get to know them a little bit. Eye contact doesn't happen until I've known someone for a few years. I've applied for disability but that takes a long time to get approved and a lot of court hearings that will probably kill me from the stress of talking, and hoping and praying that they will let me write or text everything because I can't talk in front of people I don't know. I'm getting a little bit of unemployment and collecting scrap metal and copper (without stealing it) for some money. I don't have a car, so I have to depend on friends and family to help me get the metal and take it to sell. I need help with my bills. All of them, especially my rent and internet. I need the internet to apply for jobs, do follow ups on jobs, and keep up with my disability application. My cell phone is also important for texting about jobs and disability. I'm trying to survive on my own, but without being able to communicate in person, it's really hard. Most jobs here are customer service, which is impossible for me. When I hear of one that is only physical labor and no talking or interacting with customers, I try for it, but with all the competition for the jobs here, and my inability to talk to an interviewer, I usually don't get it. Please help. Any amount is good.

Sick of being sick, any help appreciated.

Ever since hitting my early 20's, I have been on a terrifying rollercoaster ride, all within my own mind. After moving out, maintaining a steady job and relatively good physical and overall well being, I began to hear voices which only spoke to me, feeling rampant and unjustifiable paranoia, and uncharacteristic aggression, mostly brought on by the inability to sleep. After seeing a few different psychiatrists, I was officially diagnosed with schizophrenia, and began a regimen of taking 3 types of medication to treat it at different times daily. Fortunately, the medication I was prescribed has been well-received by my body, but, needless to say, three different types of medicine for such a condition are quite expensive, especially since I get them in bi-monthly or tri-monthly increments due to the need to take them every single day.
Since the diagnosis and through this long, strange trip, I lost my home and career, was institutionalized on two occasions, mutilated myself several times, suffered seizures when unable to pay for my medication, and have had several friends and love interests wash their hands of me, either out of dread or the social stigma associated with my condition.
Of course, I realize everyone has problems and financial worries are a large stress factor in many people's lives, however, I value my mental health foremost of my personal concerns, and would be grateful to anyone willing to help me as I continue my battle with this demon, which hopefully I can defeat and get back to living as a normal, functional person.
Thank you for reading, any help, and God bless.

we need to stay in our school district for our boys to continue to receive the special education they are doing so well in, they are in 1st and 3rd grade. we have had to move 3 times in 14 months due to inability to pay rent. it is becomming harder and harder to find affordable housing in this school district. my husband is a union concrete laborer and has been on unemployment more then he has worked. we only have $800.00 of the rent for Feb., which is $1575.00/month. thank you so much-- anything helps--
