When you were younger, did you ever dream about how life would be when you got older, that moment when you would finally be independent? My dream is to make the most out of my 21st birthday and to make up for the 21st birthday party my boyfriend never had.

In America, 21 is a magical number for us miserable youngsters who have not yet reached it. We live our lives waiting to get to that number because, when we reach it, we know that no one can stop us from doing anything. When I reach 21, I know I will be unstoppable. And what place on earth says unstoppable better than Las Vegas?

Of course, there is one problem: I am a broke college student and my boyfriend is a broke college graduate. . .With the high prices of hotels, flights, and, of course, Vegas gambling, it is nearly impossible for a college student on financial aid and a recent grad in today's job market to enjoy Las Vegas on their own pockets.

That is where, hopefully, you come in. Dreams do cost money. After creating a budget, I have calculated that, in order to fulfill my dream, I will have to raise around $2500.

I have been married for 2 1/2 years to an abusive drunk. I was a teacher in another state for 11 years and moved to Ohio to get married and start a new life. Almost immediately, I realized I had made a mistake. He drinks heavily and is verbally and physically abusive. I often find myself locked in a bedroom with our cat, who he also threatens to kill. I have slept in my car, in cheap hotels and on friend's couches.
I want to leave and go back to the state where I taught before moving here, but cannot afford it. I am in need of $1500 to buy a plane ticket and to help pay my bills until I can find a job.
I am currently working a min wage job and want can barely pay my bills (student loans, credit cards, insurance, living expenses)and can't afford to leave. I am desperate, scared and tired of living this way. I want out, but have no place to go and no money to do it and wouldn't be on here unless it was a last resort. I can provide a police report from when he was arrested for domestic violence if you want proof of my situation.
Please, if you can find any way to help me, I would be so grateful. When I get out, I would pay back by serving in the community I move to. I currently volunteer at our local cat shelter and would do that in my new city, as well as work in the soup kitchen and find other service opportunities. I believe in paying it forward.

My fiance just lost his job and is currently moving around from hotels to friends homes. He is having a hard time finding work and is quickly running out of savings. Me and my 3yr old daughter have moved back into my parents house. It has been really hard on us. I am going to school and looking for work. My fiance is a good hard working man who came into a rough time. He is not able to come see us because he his also having car problems. Please help with any donations. My daughter misses her daddy and so am I. It seems like time is moving in slow motion. We just want to be together.

Hi I'm 23, my boyfriend John's almost 25, and we have an 8-month-old daughter, Jade. We moved from Austin, Texas to Portland, Oregon and had planned to stay with my boyfriend's brother Freddy, his girlfriend LaWanda, and their 3-year-old son Jack, until John got a job so we could get our own place. Just a few days after arriving, LaWanda left with Jack and filed a restraining order saying falsely that Freddy had pushed her at a time when we and one of his friends were all there, and despite him having three witnesses and she having none as well as telling a slightly different story on the stand than what she filed on paper, it all came down to she's a black woman and he's a big white bearded tree-trimming MAN and she won, which meant he as well as we were forced out of the house and we spent ALL of our money on camping, hotels, food, and renter applications, until finally one reluctant property management agency allowed a jobless family to move in provided we pay a near $2,000 deposit + a month and 1/2's worth of rent which wiped us out down to little under 20 cents. John very quickly got his job and works as many shifts as he can, but he's partly here for school (which luckily his mother is paying for), so money is always tight, and this last week we had to survive off of his tips day to day.

We have no bed. We have to watch how much water and heat we use. We're hungry a lot, I'm rapidly losing weight due to not eating enough and breastfeeding, and most of my clothes are too big for me now. No pants in Portland at this time of year sucks horribly, even my belts won't fit and I've driven new holes in them and everything. My mind is suffering, I'm forgetting what I'm saying a lot. Food stamps help but John still has to use his money to make ends meet, and too often we have to choose between milk and toilet paper. I can't work because I have a child and the best I can do to make money is waitress anyway, so if I worked, the money would just swing right around into child care and I'm not going to work so someone else can raise my kid. Even strip clubs out here are barren, so it's not about what I'm not willing to do for my daughter, I'm really stuck. We're stuck. Relatives are oblivious to how hard things are for us and only send clothes and toys for our daughter, but nothing we actually need. One of my aunts did send a $50 gift card for one of the most expensive grocery stores in town, which was nice, but at the same time, not very helpful. I could have made it go further elsewhere and I still need clothes. I have no pants that fit me now, too many sun dresses and short skirts for this season and two light jackets. What? I'm from Texas, it never gets cold there. Please, please, please help me!

My fiancee won a BIG architecture contract. The problem is that he has used all his money to fight for the contract. Before they release the money, he has to pay the hotel bill. There is a contract with the Hotels and the government before they release the funds.

I have used all my funds but we are short $8,000. I can pay it back as soon as they release the money. This is hard for me to ask but I have used up all my resources.

Is there anyone who can loan me a personal short-term loan? I know it is hard to trust people on-line. I don't either. I just don't know where to turn.

I really need a job. I have a great deal of office experience, I have worked in Restaurants, Hotels, ect...Customer Service. I am hard working and reliable and in need of a job in the Tacoma, Wa area. I need help. I am behind on my rent by 2 months and it is taking its toll. It is about $400 and as I try to figure out what my next step is, I am scared to death. I don't have a car, so that makes it even worse. No real family and somehow when you lose your job, funny how you lose friends at the same time. And that hurts. I am a 49 year old woman single and really frightened. Any help would be appreciated.

I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids and a new baby, my husband works out of town in a different state for 4-5 days a week and it is costing us a fortune in gas right now for him to drive back and forth, he has to stay in hotels during the week because we cant afford to pay a security deposit on another apartment. We already lost our house due to the so-called "Government mortgage recovery plan", which is really a giant scam. Don't fall for it, they wont help you!
Usually my husband has to use most of the money leftover every month to pay to go to work, and the kids and I are barely scraping by. I just had a baby, I can't go to work we are always on the verge of getting the utilities shut off,we have pawned and sold everything you can think of. we are not irresponsible and we live very frugally, no cable tv, no credit cards, no fancy vacations etc. We just need some way to get ahead. I believe in "pay it forward", and I would be willing to do just that as soon as I can. every dollar. Im not asking for a million bucks here, just whatever you can spare.

We have finally found a place that we moved into february of this year after staying in hotels for a little over a year . I have lupus and have been unable to work.My husband works full time, but a little over a month ago was out a week due to outpatient surgery . It got us really behind as he didnt get paid leave.All of May is paid up right now, but we have to come up with June and have already recieved a 5 day notice from the landlord. It is 995 a month and if its not paid by the 5th, its a 100 late fee and 5 dollars every day after. I dont want to lose our home again. My kids have been through so much already . Their birthday is Friday and they will be 12 (twins ), and we haven't even been able to get anything for them . Thanks for reading and God bless you .

I am looking for any donations I can get to support a lengthy stay in the Joplin Missouri area to help with the Tornado clean up. I just lost my job for not willing to comply with their illegal practices and strive to always do the right thing, no matter what or how it may set me back. Anyway, I have contacted the Red cross,and United way, yet these services are so inundated with what has happened that I think I have gotten lost in their system after letting them know I am available. I also signed up with "show me response" Which is a organization that uses medical professionals that want to volunteer. I am a Licensed EMT and worked on a ambulance service for 8 years so I hope they can utilize me somewhere, yet have had no response from them as of yet either.

After losing my job and the impact of the economy the last few years I have virtually lost everything I have. I currently have nothing, no car, no home (staying in a hotel) and soon no money. Instead of feeling sorry for myself and my situation I want go to Joplin and help those who have lost everything too. I lost mine over time they lost theirs in minuets. In Joplin the still standing hotels are sold out, the remaining people and volunteers are staying in tents in peoples yards. I did make contact with a lady who offered for me to camp in her yard, but I have no tent. So my purpose of being on here is just to ask some kind hearted people who may not have the option of going to Joplin on their own to help, to sponsor me to get there and get the few things I need so I can help the people who need it.

This is not a scam and am not using this disaster for personal gain through this site, and if anyone has done that or trying to do that just remember God and Karma will someday hold you accountable!! Please help me with my cause if you can:) Thank you. PS if I get enough people to sponsor me to go there, I will email them on a weekly basis of my progress there, as well as try to send photos of whats going on with the clean up. (emails will depend on available wifi connections)

Here is what I am needing : 45.00 for bus ticket Kansas City to Joplin (Jefferson Lines). 49.00 for a Tent, 40.00 for steel toed boots (from Walmart), 15.00 for leather gloves, 5.00 for safety glasses, 30.00 for a used hardhat. and any donations for the purchase of food while I am there you can offer.

There may be food available for volunteers but would rather go down there and not deplete any of their resources as some people have gone down to capitalize on others misfortunes according to some news articles I have seen.

Hi, my name is Julie Cesari. Last January I lost my job with Xanterra Parks and Resorts here in the Denver metro area (you can google it, and shows that I am for real). I had a medical issue that made me miss too much work after my FMLA ran out. I don't blame the company, it was their policy. I am desperately searching for another job, which is not easy. I was evicted from my apartment and I have to live in extended stay hotels which is not cheap. I am trying hard to keep from living on the streets, once that happens the chances of finding another job becomes next to impossible. It costs about $28 per night to stay at the hotel, $189.99 for the week. My unemployment which is only $165 a week can't cover that, and I also need gas to get to job interviews and also medicines.I am overdrawn $112 on my bank account and I'm needing work on my car. although its my own fault, i really need help. ive been living with my boyfriend for the past two years and have been helping him take care of his two children like they were my own. and the whole time hes been cheating on me, using me as his personal maid and babysitter, while he goes to hotels with other women. im devistated and heartbroken. i thought we were actually trying to build something together. long story short, i loss my job because my boss wanted to sexually harass me, now im stuck in this house with no where to go. i have no family, and i cant stay in this house, id rather die. please donate whatever u can to help me get out of this situation.

hello. im anthony and am in a rough, bad, scared, lost, just horrible situation. I seem to be the black sheep in my family. I have a wonderful family. I graduated High School in 2002. Moved from indiana to california to go to college at UC riverside. California just wasnt for me. So moved back to indiana and went to Ancilla college. I was going to school on a Golf Scholarship. I worked at the local Country Club for many years. Golf was my life. I spent so much time on the Golf Course it kinda seperated me from my family. Well my parents were earning a very decent annual salary working in the RV motorhome business here in Elkhart Ind. Well when the econonmy took a dive my mother lost her job. So she is now working 3 jobs as a waitress. My dad still is employed but the household relationship has taken a huge hit! About 5 years ago I was giving a chance to "GRIP" on a film set (Set Lighting). I loved it! so I decdied to take a chance in the business. Well its becoming a issue! I love what I do but hate the style of my life! I have traveled over 300,000 miles in 5 years. Living outta dufflebags, vans, hotels, closets, etc! I am now back in Indiana for the recent holidays and have broken down and googled "how to get finacial help" and Im going to fill out a "Beg" on all the websites. I dont expect this to work, but I am also not asking for much! If its only .25 or $25 thank you! If you have a job ill do it! Im so used to catching flights to get to that next movie job, so I will honestly catch a flight if your willing to help me! Thanks for taking your time to read this. My husband and I are currently living with my parents and we have 2 kids. What we want to do is start up a few hotels we need $ 50,000.00 for the down payment. Anyone can help with just a little or a lot. My biggest fear is that if we dont get this and something happens to my parents we will be out on the streets and we will loose our jobs and possibly our children. If that were to happen I would be devastated.
