If Only I Saw It Coming!!
Posted by Ashamaaus on 2012-03-29 22:58:53
I am a single mother who's been truly blessed with 4, beautiful, healthy children; 3 biological & a foster son that joined our family when he was 12â¦..he is now 23. My kids are the reason I continue to battle through what has been the most challenging, darkest phase of my 50 years on this Earth.
In the summer of 2011, life, as my family knew it, was forever changed. My son got off the school bus & proceeded to enter a crime scene upon opening the front door of the house we call home. It was immediately clear that we were victims of a daytime home invasion and robbery. A trail of splinters led straight to my bedroom door, which had been demolished in the process of gaining entrance & access to my personal belongings. Robbers took my box of trash bags & proceeded to fill them with anything that could be sold or traded. I came home to find that they had stolen everything of value that I had worked for in my 50 years of existence & everything of value that my kids cherished as well.
It didn't happen often, but on the occasion that I had a few extra dollars to spend on myself, I found pleasure in buying nice jewelry. Through the years, I had managed to accumulate a nice collection. Also, as a child, my father & I shared an interest in coin collecting. I had managed to hold on to several interesting coins my dad & I found. Weekly, he also, gave me & my brothers our allowance of a fifty cent piece each. I had somehow managed to hold on to many of these as well. I stored my coin collection in the bottom portion of my large armoire. This area is what my family referred to as "the safe." Anything of value, particularly sentimental, was given to me to be protected in the safe. A couple good examples are my, then, 10 year old son's game ball for hitting the Championship game winning grand slam home run & my daughter's horse riding medals, show jewelry & accessories, as well as a silver handled knife & sheathâ¦â¦.the only personal possession my foster son owned from his childhood. I carry a tremendous amount of guilt for not doing a better job of safe guarding my family's precious & dear possessions.
In addition to the lingering guilt, the robbery also resulted in life altering psychological effects to me & my family. I continue to wonder if & when I will ever fully recover & be the secure, self confident person I was before the robbery. Immediately following the break-in, I was consumed by finding out who was responsible & ways of obtaining this informationâ¦..I could think of nothing else. After several weeks of frantic guessing & running wild goose chases, I started to realize that regaining possession of my property was less likely as each day went by. I could feel myself falling into a dark, lonely place with deep despairâ¦..& unfortunately, I was content to be there. For the next several months, I could not work, did not eat or sleep & rarely came out of my bedroom. There was a film in my head that ran & reran the events leading up to & immediately following the robberyâ¦..filled with the "I should've"s, "I could've"s and "what ifs." I am plagued with distrust & no longer find interest in much of anything. I was robbed of far more than just pieces of propertyâ¦..they stole my trust in mankind, my desire to thrive, my faith in the world & my sanity.
I have worked as a medical school curriculum manager for 21 years. As a result of my mental decline, I was unable to work for over three months which, consequentially, made it difficult to pay all of the bills. I managed to rob Peter to pay Paul for several months & kept up with everything except for my house payment. It is now in arrears nearly $5,000.00 & I am out of resources. For the first time in my life, I am facing foreclosure. It is embarrassing & humiliating & I don't know how to tell my kids that they are likely to have no place to call home in the very near future. I feel like such a failure! Even though I've been an exemplary employee for many years, as a consequence of the self doubting & tremendous stress, I am now faced with the strong potential of losing my job due to my inability to focus & my lack of desire to face each day, As if this wasn't enough for one person to handle, I am also witnessing the daily decline of my father & my hero due to end stage Parkinson's & Alzheimer's.
I'm not sure how this begging website works but if there is someone out there that is willing to make me a loan & work out a payment arrangement, I promise not to let you down.....you will be repaid! I am working hard to battle the persisting PTSD symptoms that continue to plague me. I just worry that facing homelessness may be more than I can handle. Lord, I hand it over to You coz I come to You a broken, wounded angel. I thank you for any consideration and appreciate all prayers. May God bless you many times & in many ways for your generosity & kindness!

So I thought i'd try here as by the looks of it in a few monthâs time me and my dog will be living on a high street near you. Me with holes in my shoes and him with a shoe string as a lead, Which by this time I would have got a taste for cheap cider and there will be no way back for me. Iâll earn my money by performing sexual favours for old men and eventually I will die of aids, Lonely, Ashamed And Full Of Aids.
So please help keep a roof over me and my dogs head.
Plus i dont like guys or cheap cider. So the whole outcome does nothing for me on a personal level.
So in the weak hope anyone can help keep a roof over my head for a little bit longer until , HOPEFULLY, I can find a job.
If not see you on a high street soon.

Lucky Duck Horse & Farm Animal Rescue needs your help
Posted by LUCKYDUCKrescue on 2011-09-13 22:58:03
We are a non-profit rescue in the state of Texas, due to this horrific drought we have no hay and are trying to fundraise &/or get donations to help us keep our animals fed. Donations of food, hay (dog, cat, horse, pig, chicken, duck) are so welcome. Check us out at www.luckyduckhorserescue.org
I want to rescue horses.

I already have the land and a small two-horse stable. What I don't have is any feed or money for veterinarian care. Like everyone else, I live paycheck to paycheck and when you have a dependent like a sick horse, it could be a catastrophe if you "just don't have the money" for the vet to come out that week.
Even one dollar helps. With 2000 dollars, I can start.
Horrifying Homeless Situation
Posted by Hopefulhomelesslionjudah on 2011-07-21 08:58:09
My request / beg: Please forward this to a Christian family farm / ranch owner who will take my labor in exchange for room and board. Any monetary donations are welcome...I'll use them for transportation to my new employer, and food to tide me over until I get there. I'm a serious, committed Christian, and would ideally love to be in a compassionate Christian environment for a few months. No drug, alcohol, emotional problems â ever. A very normal guy who looks like any clean normal guy from upper middle class suburbia...except for my tooth.
Is there anyone out there who will notice me, and have compassion? I can provide a solid reference from a homeless shelter. hopefulhomelesslionjudah@gmail.com

What i will say is this. I am a 28 year old male that lives in Texas. I am a hard working man that is taking care of his sister and her baby, my 4 year old nephew. Up until the past couple weeks i have held a decent job, but was unable to save any money. With the rising gas prices, a minimum round trip of 90 miles a day and food for 4, the 1400 a month i made at my job was just barely enough to keep up. The 4th person was my brother, he recently volunteered to move in with a friend of his to help out. My sister and I do not have this luxury. So the 2 of us are about to starve/become homeless, if something doesn't go our way soon. The reason for the dilemma is 2 weeks ago (April 15th) I lost my job. I have 2 pay checks to survive on until i find a job, which rent($550) is due on the 1st and the utility bill($150) is overdue. I we have a total of $730 with no source of income, family members are in tight situations, the job market for our skills is seemingly filled and we don't know where to turn. We live 10 miles from the closest city we both only have about an 1/8 of a tank of gas, neither of us have car insurance anymore as they have lapsed, and only my sister has a phone now (paygo phone with 3$ left on it *3 days of use max*). I don't know where to turn. I normally have a few months of living cost saved up but with such a small paycheck supporting 4 people i was unable to do so.
I'm not even asking for money exactly, and even though it would be GREAT, a job would be BETTER! I'm willing to do anything! NO SHAME! If any of you have anything you need done online I might be able to do it! If you live near or in the east side of Dallas(we live outside of the metro area by about 30 miles)I'm willing to keep your yard up, wash your car, pick up trash, clean horse stalls, build a deck, build cabinets, dance around to humor and entertain... It really doesn't matter to me at all what it could be. But if not, money is the next best thing. FOOD!!! Food would be a HUGE help! Heck, I would work for food! (Unlike those people you see at intersections).
If you are able to help us at all with anything it would be greatly appreciated! The things we need are Food, Rent, utilities, gas, phone and internet too as it would aid in job seeking. Neither of us have outstanding debit or owe anyone money. We have lived by the saying "Live by your means, not your wants." which is probably the most important pieces of advice i have ever received while growing up.
Thank you,
Jon

At the end of my rope, and in dire need of help!
Posted by TheDutchFist on 2011-04-08 18:58:06
Basically, I grew up in and out of group/foster homes because both of my parents were heroin addicts. Before I was taken away from them at age four we lived in junky squat motels where my father would boost and my mother would prostitute to support their habit. Eventually they were both arrested for crimes committed to support their habit and that's when I was made a ward of the state.
For a brief period my father got out of prison, cleaned up, and I lived with him from when I was about 8 to 11. He got me out of the foster home I was living in, met a woman at the church he started attending and got a job as a truck driver. While he was gone at work she would beat me continuing the abuse I endured previously in the foster homes I was shuffled through. It didn't take long until he started using again, and we found out that he had contracted AIDS from sharing dirty needles while he was in prison. During the time he was sick I ended up having to take care of him every day after I got home from school because my abusive stepmother was either at work or would have nothing to do with him when she wasn't. Of course, he got progressively worse and my step-mom decided she no longer wanted to support either of us, so she stuck him in a hospice. I came home from school one day and the paramedics were loading him into the back of an ambulance. For the next month she would not tell me where he was or let me contact him. At the end of that month, she left me on the doorstep of my grandmother's house (mom's mom) and was gone.
My father died about 3 weeks after that, but because my biological mother was living at my grandmother's as well we did make daily trips to see him those last weeks. A small mercy being able to spend some time with him before he died. My biological mother had gotten out of prison after my father had and had moved in with my grandmother because she was trying to get clean, but that did not last long and while we would go visit my father she would cop dope and fix up my dying father in front of me, as well as use herself. A couple weeks after my father died she split back out onto the streets leaving me in the care of my grandmother.
Needless to say with so much turmoil in my life I freaked out at this point. My grandmother couldn't handle her newly teenage grandson with so many emotional problems and kicked me out because I was so unruly. I lived on the streets, in and out of group homes until I was about 16 where finally I landed in a well run group home with staff that actually cared about the kids that lived there until I graduated high school. I re-established contact with my grandmother and mother who was once again trying to get clean. That didn't last and when she was out on the streets this time caught a lengthy prison sentence.
When I turned 18 I had to leave the group home so I stayed with friends and lived on the streets for a while again, but eventually ended moving back in with my grandmother. Not long after that she ended up being diagnosed with lung cancer. I spent the next few years nursing her, taking her back and forth to chemo and radiation treatments everyday after working the night shift as a waiter. During that time my mother got out of prison, but could no longer run the streets because now she was diagnosed with emphysema.
My grandmother did have a brief remission, but finally did succumb to her disease. After that, my mother's disease started getting progressively worse and worse. To top it all off after that she herself was also diagnosed with lung cancer. Thankfully during that time I did have some help taking care of her because I found a wonderful woman who became my fiancée. We took turns taking my mother to her chemo and radiation treatments.
Now, there is a lot more detail to this story with many more ins and outs, but that is the general outline. I guess you're probably wondering where the begging comes in and what I need it for?
Ok, here goes:
During that time my fiancée's horse riding lesson business tanked, and because of the nature of my mother's disease someone always had to be home with her because she would fall asleep sitting up and choke her self to death so someone always had to be home with her precluding at least one of us from having a regular job. We got a small stipend from the state for taking care of her in home, and she would do web design and find odd jobs off of craigslist/the internet and that's how we'd survive every month.
Unfortunately it ended up not being enough to survive or get my mother to her treatments every day. She was on medicare and the closest hospital that would accept her insurance was 40 miles each way. So, she ended up shoplifting groceries for us and got caught. I bailed her out and we took care of her case, or at least we thought we had. Cut to 2 days ago, my fiancée and I are awoken by bounty hunters stating that she missed a court date and they had to take her in. Her bail is $20,000 because now she has a failure to appear, and since my mother died about 6 months ago she's been taking care of me and has been the sole bread winner like I was when her business was tanking.
Our rent was due 3 days ago and the manager of the extended stay hotel place we live at told me we needed to be out by yesterday. I have about $10 to my name and if I don't have $600 to him in the next day or two I am sure his patience is going to run out and me, and my two dogs are going to be out on the streets, my fiancée will not have a home to come back to when she gets out of jail, and we will lose all of our stuff. If any of these details are unclear of if you have any questions about my situation please do not hesitate to ask.
If there is anyone out there that is inclined to help us in any way our gratitude would be eternal. As I said, this would be a loan. We would both work to pay you back as quickly as possible and I am not opposed to working for it now if someone has work for me to do. Also, if anyone would be inclined to help bail her out we could pay you back even more quickly. Neither of us has any family to fall back on or ask for help so this is the last thing I could think to do.
Feel free to contact me any time, and I will get back to you as soon as I can! Thank you for reading this, and considering to help. My gratitude is immense and eternal.

(2) Training Manager (Overseeing All Materials, Budget, etc.)
(3) Egress Mechanic
I've been busting my rear here in the Mid East training idiots on the Egress system in order to pay bills and debt. I literally broke my back, had repair surgery and got back on the horse (jet). I have a wife and children in tow. We're all homesick, scared, depressed.
Please hire me and bring us home. I'm willing to provide my resume, references and all else required in the pursuit of legit employment.

My partner and I both have very big hearts, and have over the years taken in various homeless animals. We have 2 cats, 2 dogs and a horse, all of which were rescue animals, prior to coming to live with us. Our pets our like our kids, and with money so tight there are days when our animals eat but we do not. In addition, we recently took in an 18 year old newly "out" young man, whom was thrown out of his parents home because of his sexuality. We are giving him a place to live and supporting him, best we can, as he begins college.
Both of us have good full-time jobs, but after all of the mouths are fed, rent is payed and so forth, there is not much left. I'm somewhat embarrassed to be posting this; asking for help, but it is our last resort to keep our family together. If you could spare anything, we would be forever grateful! Even 50 cents or 1 dollar could help. Thank You, and Gob Bless!
