Need help getting over the hump...
Posted by OrgPh on 2012-03-08 21:58:09
Stated Goal: $2,000.00 (by March 21st, 2012) for tuition, books and some new pants to get my academic career going... Breakdown of $1,288.33 for tuition/fees, approximately $400.00 in textbooks/supplies for the quarter, and the remainder for some pants and necessary travel expenditures for the first month of school.
I know you have many options with where your hard-earned money goes - some may make you feel GREAT about shedding a few pounds in the wallet, and others will leave you feeling downright dirty. I know this, because I was once in your shoes; money in my wallet, left only to my vices as to where to spend it. I never felt right about just handing it over to someone who, in my opinion, would merely go drink it away, drug it away, etc. It's funny how life throws these things all back into your face sometimes, and as such I find myself in need and hoping that the right person(s) will have the faith to invest in me - that's right, I said INVEST.
I don't believe in a handout, but I DO believe that sometimes we fall a bit harder than we are prepared to do and as such are put into situations that we neither expected nor are comfortable with. I opened a business that was going rather well for its first 7 months of operation. Then, through an anonymous post from someone online that "appeared" to be from my company, me and my business partner got black-balled from the industry (VERY political/bureaucratic in that particular industry). When this went under, though, it took me and everything I own with it - my vehicle, my home and much of my personal belongings. Prior to that, I spent 11 years on active duty military status in order to protect and serve this country. Yes, I've earned the G.I. Bill and fully intend to use it for its designed purpose. TheMy defining issue, however, is that the Bill pays for school on a month-to-month basis, at the END of each month of training. For example, my school begins this April 2nd so I cannot claim my benefits until the end of April, which will cause my first G.I. bill payment to get sent out in early May. The school, however, requires payment up-front and as explained above, I currently do not have the capital to get started. Once I've started, the Bill will sustain me, therefore I merely ask for assistance in getting the first quarter of classes paid, including books. I have a great academic history, and this is truly where I excel. My purpose is to some day acquire a PhD in pharmaceutics and do research to find new and improved medications for the benefit of the masses.
As for the pants, I have two pairs remaining and both have holes in the legs and crotch. While these DO technically work for all intents and purposes, it gets a bit breezy on these cold days and nights, and is probably unsightly (at best) to any of my would-be professors who may not appreciate an instructor's-eye-view of these things. As such, I figure I might like to buy a couple of pairs prior to matriculation.
Thank you, in advance, to any and all who assist me on this endeavor.

For years now we have struggled to keep our children fed and clothed. Our
twin girls were born five weeks' early and spent weeks in NICU. Thank God
the girls are healthy now and doing well but the bills have mounted and we
live from pay check to pay check.
Our stove is old and has become a fire hazard. There's not any money to buy
the kids extra clothes so they wear the same outfit to church each Sunday.
Our shoes have holes but we can't afford new ones. The banker is constantly
calling and the utility bills are months past due.
My husband works long hours and I have to stay home with the girls because
of developmental issues. The economy has us on our knees. It's our prayer to
one day be a blessing to others in need.
Thank you

Please can you help with medical treatment?
Posted by Tanyasm on 2012-02-05 03:58:14
I am a hardworking single parent of 2 children and ordinarily would not ask for help, however, I really don't know what else to do about my problem. Since my husband left 3 years ago I have struggled with money but due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and various other painful ailments I have had to stop my second job and so my lack of money is a big issue. We get by and don't expect a lot i.e. no holidays in the sun or big TVs, however, I am now in a situation where I need money for medical treatment and have no savings.
When I was pregnant with my second son, who is now 10, I developed large cysts on my face which all burst and left scars and holes all over. As you can imagine these areterribly disfiguring. My self confidence is zero, especially when people stare and mention it. I do not want to go out of the house and I have stayed in the same job for 12 years as I am too uncomfortable to have an interview for another position. I have tried various things including strong chemical peels which have only made my skin worse. My doctor has told me that I can have treatment but it will cost a few thousand. Therefore, what I am asking for is help with not just making me look "normal" but about improving my life and that of my family. If I am fortunate enough to ever have treatment I would ideally like to find a better job and give my children the start they deserve. If you are able to help me I would be most thankful and forever grateful for your assistance.
Wanting a Baby Girl

I have 4 sons and our baby girl was the icing on the cake for the family! I am dearly wanting to fly to the US to have Gender Selection as I would love to have another baby Girl. I'm not wanting to replace our daughter but to fill that hole in my heart and to feel love again. I got a taste for what it was like to have a daughter, and it was absolutely wonderful.

So I thought i'd try here as by the looks of it in a few monthâs time me and my dog will be living on a high street near you. Me with holes in my shoes and him with a shoe string as a lead, Which by this time I would have got a taste for cheap cider and there will be no way back for me. Iâll earn my money by performing sexual favours for old men and eventually I will die of aids, Lonely, Ashamed And Full Of Aids.
So please help keep a roof over me and my dogs head.
Plus i dont like guys or cheap cider. So the whole outcome does nothing for me on a personal level.
So in the weak hope anyone can help keep a roof over my head for a little bit longer until , HOPEFULLY, I can find a job.
If not see you on a high street soon.

My name is Angela K. Baker. I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin and have been living with diagnosis of Systemic Lupus since I was fourteen years (I am now 34 DOB 06/16/1977). Although as a child, I knew there was something a little different about myself compared to my twin brother Johnathan. I could never run and play with the other children because my body just would not keep up with the other kids. It always felt like I had sandbags attached to me and I would pass out in the sunlight, I was always exhausted and my body cried out in pain. I just didn't know why. I can remember being like this all the way back to my kindergarten year. Not that my parents were bad people, it just seemed like they just didn't have anymore to give, there problems were so on the surface, (both of my parents are alcoholics, and my mother has had Multiple Sclerosis (MS) since I was born and as for my father, he spent a large part of my life locked away in the Wisconsin jail system (due to his own alcohol induced indescretions.) At fourteen I got a full-time job to pay for my medical bills and a part-time job working at a nursing home to help my family. I have always been stuborn and a fighter, but at this point in my life the fight has just about been exstinguished out of me and I have to admit that I need some help. Over the last twenty years I have been under anasthetic approximately 125 times. I am missing more parts than I have. I feel like an experiment gone wrong or a human pin coushon. I hope that at least some of my surgical suffering at least helped the surgeons learn something from my body...You see I have lived longer than anyone that they know of with this kind of Lupus. It usually manifesters in the late 30's or 40's not in children. My most recent operation was on June 9th 2011, to fix holes in my intestines that were accidentley left after my colon was removed (my colon exploded after it had been recected four times) Right now I have an Illyectomy system that does not work correctly, it leaks blood, bile, puss, fecal liquid ect. and the plastic appliances do not work on me because my skin is so sensative from the Lupus. My medical exspenses are so astronomical even with Medicare and I struggle every month to pay my basic needs (rent, public service water copays ect) I was forced to retire at 23 my body deceided it just couldn't do it anymore, even though I worked very hard to put myself through college so that I could have a decent job that I enjoyed. Thank God that it does not take much to feed me, because the state of WI says that I do not qualify for food stamps or medical assistance, I make $4.oo a month too much. I am not asking for large donations, I know the ecomomy is bad and we are all struggling. What I am asking that when you balance your checking account that you round up to the nearest dollar and please donate the change. My goal is to collect enough money to see a special surgeon at Freodert Hospital in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He would like to see if he can help me have some kind of quality of life and end some of the suffering that I have been enduring for a long time . I would be happy if I even received a little relief. I don't remember what it is like to feel healthy, everyone in this life deserves at least a shot at it... If I am given the help that I need, I fully intend to open my home again as a safe house ( I am not able to do that now because of the leaking illeostmy ) and I would love to a foster mom to any child who needs a good loving and stable home. The way I am right now is horrible ( I have not left my home in over six months excluding doctor appointments) I do realize that some people use these sites for frivilous things and for scamming people. All that that I can do is to give my word that I promise to pay it forward. In my life I have been through an extraordinary amount of human suffering and it is a miracle that I am alive still to tell my story, and for that I am truly greatful and I am here still for a reason. It is not so bad to live without certain basic human needs, it's the having too that is very heartbreaking.
Sincerely,
Angela K. Baker

Young Struggling Family Barely Eating
Posted by SteelDame5000 on 2011-12-23 12:58:30
We have no bed. We have to watch how much water and heat we use. We're hungry a lot, I'm rapidly losing weight due to not eating enough and breastfeeding, and most of my clothes are too big for me now. No pants in Portland at this time of year sucks horribly, even my belts won't fit and I've driven new holes in them and everything. My mind is suffering, I'm forgetting what I'm saying a lot. Food stamps help but John still has to use his money to make ends meet, and too often we have to choose between milk and toilet paper. I can't work because I have a child and the best I can do to make money is waitress anyway, so if I worked, the money would just swing right around into child care and I'm not going to work so someone else can raise my kid. Even strip clubs out here are barren, so it's not about what I'm not willing to do for my daughter, I'm really stuck. We're stuck. Relatives are oblivious to how hard things are for us and only send clothes and toys for our daughter, but nothing we actually need. One of my aunts did send a $50 gift card for one of the most expensive grocery stores in town, which was nice, but at the same time, not very helpful. I could have made it go further elsewhere and I still need clothes. I have no pants that fit me now, too many sun dresses and short skirts for this season and two light jackets. What? I'm from Texas, it never gets cold there. Please, please, please help me!

I'm 23 and alone...you're nice already
Posted by kaenor on 2011-12-12 22:58:05
I've had a hard life. My mother passed away when I was 12, and my father passed away at 20. He left me a lot of debt and a house to maintain.
The stress of all this has given me problems. I started having panic attacks and was hospitalized for a cardiac arrhythmia. Recently, I developed optic neuritis. I'm working on getting Medicaid to cover some of my costs but right now I'm in debt about #1000.
There is one blessing in my life, a relative who pays my internet and utilities. He also helps me with food. But that's all he can do. He goes without to provide me with that. Otherwise I'd be homeless, hungry, and who knows where.
So I'm blessed to have the basics in life. But there's so many things that I need that I have to beg other people for. My family is...not so supportive. All I have left are aunts and uncles, all except one on my mom's side. My mom's side of the family pretty much abandoned me when she died. They put me though shame and humiliation when I ask for help.
I want a job, but I live in a very rural area. I've applied s o many places up to an hour away but I don't hear anything back. Recently I applied for some state jobs which I'm hoping might come through.
These are the things I need and things I want, so you know what my intentions are.
Need:
Toilet paper.... :( The way I've been getting it now is to go into public restrooms and putting some in my purse. I feel wrong about this. But what can I say, it's a necessity?
Personal items...I won't go into detail but I'm talking about um, feminine ones. I get the Dollar Store brand kind, but even then it's too much. I've had to go without it which is very hard.
Hygiene items...I stopped using soap and shampoo conditioner. I would love to...I feel dirty honestly. But I can't afford anything. I only use deodorant every few days because the bottle is running low and I'm trying to make it last.
House items...I need dish washing soap. I can't afford paper plates and am just washing dishes with hot water now. Sometimes I cant' clean it all the way through that way, but I just have to forget it. I also need laundry detergent. I'm almost out of a huge bottle that I have made last over a year. It was Sun brand from the dollar store, and I loved it. I'm all about generic.
Gas money...My car is an old SUV, and it takes a fair amount of gas. I try to limit when I drive. But it's a necessity since I live alone and in a rural area. I have to drive to run errands, go see the doctor, go to job interviews. I usually beg for this the most cause this is one of the things I can't do without.
Medication...I'm on two heart medications because of my arrhythmia. It's important I take them. I tried taking them twice per day instead of three, and I had horrible palpitations. So this is kind of my priority. As I'm still uninsured, both medications cost about 12 dollars a month.
Okay those are all things that I feel I need. Now, what I "want".
Clothes...I haven't bought new clothes since 2007. That's when my dad got diagnosed with cancer. My shirts have holes in them, so do my jeans. I got them from Goodwill originally most likely, I like to be frugal. The only person I have is made of linen and has a hole so things fall out of it! I've lost weight and I have had my jeans fall down in public. It's bad. I only have one bra and it's way past it's prime. I would love a little money to buy some basic things. Jeans that fit, some cotton T-shirts, a purse. Maybe even something for job interviews? I think part of the reason I get denied is because I show up in jeans and a T and flip flips. But that's all I have.
Beauty stuff...Okay, this stuff is totally not worth your money, I get it. But I just thought I'd list everything. It sucks being a young woman who can't feel pretty. I'm unwashed, my clothes make me feel like a hobo. I see other girls my age in class (I attend college part time thanks to financial aid) looking and smelling beautiful. I mean...
I just want a hair cut. Recently, I hacked about 6 inches off myself with scissors. It's not pretty. I just want a little powder and some lip gloss to not feel so plain. I just want a spritz of perfume so that there's something beautiful in my senses. I daydream about when I used to wear cute clothes, go to a salon. Wear mascara and paint my names. Ahh...But this is just a dream. I don't expect anyone to help me with things like that.
A new laptop/tablet...The one I have now is really old and really slow. Don't expect anyone to get me one. If it happened, I would probably assume I'm dead and in some sort of heavenly afterlife. Then I might pass out from shock.
So this my friends, is my general beg for help. I'm a 23 year old girl without much family. My basics are covered, but that leaves a lot for someone who is broke. I'm actively searching for employment. I've applied from Dr.'s offices to bars. I'm part time in college, and I'm not sure what I want to study yet.
I don't drink, if I had the money for beer I'd buy TP instead. I don't smoke or do any illegal drugs. I'm not a criminal.
I am not someone who wants to just take money. If you are down on your luck too, please don't send me anything. Put it in savings. Give it to some of these people who are about to lose their homes if you must. They're deserving.
If you're apprehensive about giving money but still want to help, you totally can. A package filled with toilet paper, tampons, shampoo...that would be like Christmas morning to me, I swear.
I'm not sure what I'm going to get out of this. Writing this was therapeutic though. If you're on this site, you're already a nice person. I bet 90 percent of the traffic is people who want something, like me. People who go on here to help someone is probably such a rare thing.
Thanks for reading.

As far as the sheet(s) go I don't care if they are used, stained, bleach spotted just as long as there are no major runs or rips that I can not sew myself.
As far as the candles go, I donât really care they can be anything at all and I would love them no matter the fragrance.

"Force people to feel your pain, put it on them. Show them how this world can create someone like you. Remind them that the state of the world we are in will continue to bring about people like us, the unloved, un-noticed, under-appreciated."
And it made me think, wow thats a fucking GREAT idea!!, what a wonderful way to make yourself feel better, why did i never think of that before? Well it seems like everybody else is doing it so why not? the worlds already fucked up so lets just add to all the bullshit and drama of life and see just how bad we can make it for others, after all wont we then realize just how good we've got it? even when you think you have nothing at all, if you think about children that are kidnapped, taken to a place their not familiar with, repeatedly raped by ass holes who would rather pay somebody to fuck a kid than find a real woman, beaten, held down and forced to develop an awful drug addiction that will keep them in a lifestyle of tragedy for the rest of their lives. Do we really have it bad? I want to kick myself in the ass sometimes for pitying myself and wishing i had it better. but then again is it really so bad to want the finer things in life? i mean it seems hope is what drives most people in life, without it where would we be? if we didnt have any hope at all why get out of bed in the morning? we do it for various reasons but mainly because we hope to achieve some kind of goal whether it be to see whats going on in the world around us, complain about it, to suppress that feeling of hunger, to use the bathroom instead of shitting or pissing on yourself, go to work or whatever. im tired of hearing about people being depressed because there is no hope in their life. the only people that really have no hope at all are already dead. Show yourself no mercy, make life what you want it to be, after all life really is whatever you make it. You can have nothing at all and not have eaten in days and still be a happy fucking go lucky numb skull without a care in the world if you pity not yourself but everyone else. I served a few months in jail this past year and found that i was really fucking HAPPY! I know what your thinking, what kind of brain dead fucking idiot could be happy to be in jail? i was not happy to be in jail but happy that i had a roof over my head, a mat to sleep on, a blanket to stay warm, 2 meals a day i mean what else could you ask for? all of your basic needs are met. Do you really deserve to have anything more than anybody else? when there are people out there that die all the time because they CANT get those basic needs fulfilled why in the hell are we driving brand new cars or even cars at all, living in homes made of enough aluminum, brick, wood and other materials to feed someone enough to keep them alive for a good part of their life. Doesnt it seem to you that if people really gave a shit about themselves or anybody else they would be more than grateful to be able to give up material possessions to give someone else a chance to live a life at all? The truth is we are all stuck up pricks that dont give a shit about anything but satisfying our own lust of pleasure. I will say there are a "few" good people out there but if your sitting there reading this on a computer and you think youve got it bad, your a stuck up peice of shit too. After all you can afford to spend money on electricity but you cant afford to feed someone, even if you do donate to charities are you really doing enough? No because your still on the computer wasting money that you could be using to feed a kid somewhere out there that otherwise will starve to death. Thats just the way it is and we've been doing it our whole lives. If you dont like the thought of being a selfish peice of shit, youve got 2 choices. Either get over it and accept the fact that your just as bad as the shit heads that flew their planes into the twin towers and killed all those people, or give up everything you have and help somebody out, stop wanting, start giving. Which will you do? If you want to change your ways you can start by donating a few dollars to help keep food in my stomach and a warm place to sleep. We'll see just how many "good" people are out there, i doubt many of you are. - Gabriel Turner You can email me at damaster406@gmail.com or send money to that email address using paypal at http://www.paypal.com

Family Crisis
Posted by Cougar on 2011-08-29 19:58:07
I am not asking for help for myself but rather for my daughter and her family.
My daughter is a single mother of 5(Two are her sisters but...) and helps take care of her disabled sister who suffers from frequent grand mal seisures. She also cares for her 9 yr. old Autistic son. She is unable to work because she is the sole care giver to her sister and Autistic son.
Problem: She and her family live in a 1970s dilapidated 3 bdrm mobile home. "The home has holes in the walls, the front and back door seals are bad so when it rains it as if it's raining inside! There is no insulation and due to electrical socket overload? She can only plug in one electric space heater to warm the home.
Please, I am not asking for myself and would not make this post if all other avenues had not been exausted. I am just trying to come up with enough money to help her get into a house that is in better shape. Her sisters',her sons' and her income is enough that they could pay $700.00 a month for rent as well as utilities. She currently pays: $650.00,Ren,$426.00 Electric, $70.00 water & trash/sewage, Cable & Internet through Cox is 160.00, household cleaning supplies and personal hygeine needs run about 70.00 per month for a total of $1436.00 (Not including Food). Her household Income is $1898.00
Sorry for being long winded but wanted to explain as fully as possible.
Thanks and God bless
