I've been living in my car for a few weeks now.. I was laid off awhile back and now I don't have a single cent to my name. I am out of gas money, I don't know where to go.. I've had to pass up interviews because I had nothing suitable to wear. I use a cell phone that was paid 3 months in advance by a friend. Her mom won't let me stay with them, any family I do have is so far away, and they can't afford to bring me to them either. I am 18 years old, a girl. I graduated highschool, I can't go to college yet obviously. I get so terrified at night in my car. I am asking for money to buy gas, and go to a thrift shop to buy some clothes. I live of food bank food.. only some of it though, most perishes. Please help!

I want to use the money either for gas and clothes, or to go back home to live and find a job there..

I am a struggling 18 year old mom of a 3 year old boy. He is the highlight of my whole day. When he was 9 months old he was diagnosed with AML. I have done everything i can as a parent to fight this disease with my son. I have gotten myselfina ton ofdebt due to hospital bills.The worse thing is that my son was cancer free from 1 1/2till 3 weeks before his third birthday. He started acting really quiet and not really wanting to walk. I put him down for a nap and started seeing bruises on him. I took him into the hospital and they told me that he had relapsed once again. this was devasting news since i am ready so behind in medical bills. They told me that he needs a bone marrow transplant. We are currently on the waiting list for a tansplant and he is at the childrens hospital recieving chemotherapy 3 times a week through iv.I am just asking for any money that people can givetohelp me catch up on these medical bills. I am currently in nursing school and i have a highschool diploma and a job and i still can no even make a dent in my medical bills. I am just asking for any help to help me make a decent dent.I want tojustwake up with something less on my shoulders i really cant struggle anymore. I have so much pride i wouldnt be here if i didnt need help. Please anything you can do to help and if you can not help please all i ask is you keep my son in your prayers

My daughter is very bright, she's in the band, ROTC, Drama,Debate Team, and taking all honor classes...I am so proud of her and she deserves more and I don't have it to give to her because I am so behind on my bills by pushing things forward because of car problems and making sure that she has what she NEEDS first, most of the time I get food from my brother or go to the grocery store and know I don't have it but we have to eat.I have not finish paying band fees (still owe $285),rent behind, utilities late (paying half each time I get paid, $200), the only way that I can have a few dollars is pushing something forward....well I can't push anymore....just praying that it will get better. I have been in a very, very, depressed mood, living off overdraft and feel like I'm working for nothing. I don't want to go anywhere but to work and run my daughter back and forth to practice. If I could get help paying my rent which is $550 it will help me a whole. I get paid twice a month and sometimes once, If I could get the rent caught up I could get all my other bills back on schedule as my pay periods fall.I also have issues at work which does not make dealing with things any easier. If I could catch my rent up it will clear my mind tremendously and I can focus more on my daughter mentally instead of how am i going to pay this or that.The most important thing is I have noticed how distant I have been with her and she needs me mentally and physically, I want to be able to smile and joke around with here again instead of taking everything so personal...inwhich later i apologize to her and it is okay. Hello, My name is Danny and I am married with two kids. On 8/31/2011 our world came crashing down when I was laid off as the Operations Manager for a major financial company in Dallas Texas. I am 35 years old and started with this company out of highschool and worked my way up. One week later my wife was laid off as her company filed Chapter 11, therefore she also lost her 401K. We are drowning, I dont know where else to turn. Since we were both in the mortgage servicing industry, there is nothing out there. We have both been on countless interviews; however no offers. We have even attempted to take lower position but we are told we are over qualified. We need money, My unemployment insurance has ran out, I have sold my car, were in foreclosure... This is hard to even say... We would have never thought we would be in this position. Please, if you have any extra money, I promise once back on our feet we will donate more than we have ever in the past. We figure we have 2 more months in our house and would like to have electricity, gas and at least one phone. Thanks.

im a 20year old female.ive been doing all i can to make the most out of my life. im tired and depressed and exhausted. i didnt finish my highschool education even though i should have pushed my self. but i never had any support from anyone. my parents divorced and my father was never around during my infancy. my sisters failed at there lifes as well. one raped and left pregnant at 16 and my other had drug problems and was literally at deaths doorstep at least twice as a teen.i haven't seen her in over 6 years. i experienced everything they went though and our family struggled so much. my mother was never around she only cared for her well being.left the family to find a man with money at one point to come back as a broken down women with no dignity. i dropped out of highschool at 12th grade and have been trying to get my ged but with how much it has been going up in cost its really hard to afford. i work two cities away with minimum waged job and live in a shitty apartment taking care of my brother and mother. barely make ends meat and im just frustrated with my how hard things have become. i want to higher my education to at least get a decent job that would improve my self esteem and also to give my brother the life he deserves. the life my parents never gave me. he is still young and doesn't understand most of whats going on.the worst part about the ged is that i live so far from the testing facilities so i try my hardest to find a center but transportation is a pain when most places are far away and i always have to take care of my brother whenever he is not in school. i need a car and just this test so i can at least have one chance to make things well, at for just this once i want to be able to not feel like an incompetent miserable fool.

I am a single mother of two talented and gifted children and a student of
the ADN (Associate Degree Nursing) Program at my local community college. On
Febuary 16th, 2011, my childrens father wipped out our entire savings and
checking account and the contents of our home, then disappeared. There was
absolutely no warning of this. My children and I simply returned home from
school to an almost completely empty house.

My immediate thought was that we were victoms of a burglary. However,
shortly after the police arrived, neighbors reported something even more
disturbing. My childrens father , along with three other men in a huge
company moving truck, spent most of the early morning and mid-afternoon
moving things out of our home. Neighbors said they thought we were just
moving. They suspected no problems. Even though he had taken every household
appliance, all electronics and my childrens cellos, keyboards and computers,
there was nothing the police could do. He was indeed a resident and on the
lease.

I tried contacting him on his cell only to find it disconnected. When I
called his office, I was informed that he had been seperated from the firm
for over a month.

This was awfull and my children and I were in need of answers. To cheer us all up, I decided that we should go out to dinner and
fun. That's when I found out about the accounts.

Although there was no furniture, well, only the childrens bedroom furnitue,
we remained in our home for as long as we could. I started working part time
at a call center at night while continuing my classes in the day.

We soon had to move of course. We were evicted for non payment of rent. I
found a one bedroom appartment that I could afford. This meant moving the
children into another school district.

At the time my daughter was in seventh grade, taking highschool algebra 1,
and highschool english1. Her other classes were all AP 8th grade courses.
She was also in orchestra with her cello. The new district does not allow
7th graders to take highschool class, so she was not able to continue on her
path. Not only did we have to face the challenge of academics, we also had a
severe problem with bullies. Because I had to be at school myself, the
children had to ride the school bus daily. In a horrible neighborhood, they
were beaten often and picked on daily because of how they talked and
dresssed. Telling the school principles and the police only made matters
worse for us and our apartment. The parents live in our aparments and they
are not happy with me calling the authorities on them. I have had widows
borken out in my car, tires cut and the front door of my appartment painted
with ugly words.

I sat out of school this semester in order to escort my children safely to
and from school each day.For now, I work at a call center
m-th 8am-3pm and sat 7am-4pm.

I am trying to move my children to a neighborhood they can be safe in and a
school that is able to meet them at their academic level and they can also
be safe in. If this could happen then I could return to my nursing studies
and the children could return to a safe environment and school.

I pay 400 per month for our one bedroom we are in now. I found some
apartments in a a safer neighborhood with schools that offer orchestra and
college prep courses. ( I have not been able to pay for any private lessons
scince their father left. And their new schools do not offer orchestra. )
The one bedrooms in this particular area are 750/monthly .

I am begging for help to raise enough money to move my children into a
better neighborhood before January so that I may continue in my studies and
they can safely do the same.
I have a 7 year old boy and 13 year old daughter.
I have completed all of my support courses for my nursing. I completed my
first year last year and this summer. So, there is only one more year
nursing school that I have before I graduate. I am pleading with anyone and
everyone to please help me. Any amount will help me reach my goal.
I am asking for help to maintain a 750 per month one bedroom apartment for
12 months. January2012 to January 2013.

I apologize for even asking for help but due to life's unforseen circumstances I find myself in a no way out situation. I'm 32, divorced mother of two who just had everything fall apart since 2008. I lost two people that truly cared for me...During the long divorce my dear mother came down with oral cancer which took her quickly (6 months) and hideously. I reunited with an ex highschool boyfriend who was always a sweetheart only to have him pass unexpected last march. (he got hit by a train). My credit cards are $10,000 in debt because of my divorce, and paying my monthly bills with it. Yes, I an entry level part time job but am not making ends meet at all. I need to go back to school to better myself and get out of debt.

A year and a half ago I found out the girl I fell in love with in highschool feels the same about me. Problem is she now lives 4000 miles away and has set up a life there. I think about her every moment of every day and I really really want to visit her. I'm going to need money for a plane ticket. hello, im 17 years old and in my last year of highschool and i live in the middle of nowhere. no school bus to any school comes to pick me up so my mom or step dad is forced to drive me everyday. this has been making a lot of problems and its getting really difficult.

I am a 19 year old young woman, with a very good head on my shoulders. My mother kicked me out when I was 14, which forced me to couch surf throughout the years. I met my father when I was 17 for the first and last time. Though all my moving around made highschool very difficult to attend, I am happy to say I got my high school diploma. Currently I am living with a friend, who is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I plan to attend college in the fall of 2011 for nursing. I have been looking very hard for a job, and will continue to look until I find one. My only dilemma is ; I dont have a vehicle. Im not looking to get an Escalade or something ridiculous. Hi everyone. It feels so sad for me to be here, but I almost have no other choice.

My name is Marie. I'm 19 years old. I live in Puerto Rico. Today I'm at my second year of college. It's being a real struggle for me. My mother is a teacher, so I don't qualify for federal aid like the pell grant. Yet she doesn't make enough money to pay for my college expenses. She works at school all day and tutors some kids in the evening.

y tuition is about 2,000 dollars a trimester. That is about 8,000 a year. I have taken 2 student loans and my mom has helped me with the rest.

I don't have a car and there is no real public transportation system here. So when i try to looks for jobs that I can go walking, employers say i don't have enough experience.

I'm studying a bachelor in graphic design. I had find freelance jobs where i would work for less than 3 dollars an hour designing flyers and bruchures. I did them with free software and the employers computers. Slowly i gained enough money for a laptop. And then 2 weeks ago it was stolen from my small apartment.

I usually go by 1 meal a day, mostly junk food cause it's the cheaper i can get. I have 4 jeans in my closet, 6 shirts and 2 pairs of shoes. I don't have a celphone for emergencies and I live alone in a small apartment near the campus that pays like 300 dollars a month. My mom is at home 2 hours away.

I'm too young to get a credit card here. I must be 21 to qualify. And my mom has bad credit so I can't afford my new computer. If i had my own computer i could do more graphic design freelance jobs at least enough to eat.

Now my brother is out of highschool and my mom can't pay for his education because of me. That makes me feel so bad.

My dream is to make an honest living and be successful in the future, so I can give back to those in my position. I want to work and be productive but without an education or experience it is impossible to get a job.

However, we both knew that if we gave up on our business we would both be stuck working full times jobs, and our children would be raised by daycare workers, that is not what we wanted.
We were able to buy a three bedroom condo.(we had one child at the time)
We worked our butt off, we paid our bills, we took care of our children, and we sponsered children through World Vision, we helped others in need.
After completeing our taxes a few years ago, we noticed that we were in big trouble with the government, just in personal taxes we have to pay $14,000. That was a few years ago.

Our taxes we just completed, and currently we owe $50,000. We cant pay that, we dont have extra money once bills are paid, and food is put on the table. There is no extra. They dont understand that and just look at the end number.
The government is trying to put a lien on our condo, as well as freeze both our personal and business accounts. We dont want to claim personal and business bankrupcy, however thats what it looks like might be happening in the New Year.

I know that we put ourself in this situation, however we have always tried to do the right thing, but now are being pulled down and set back, and pushed into poverty.

Hi, my name is Tiffany Cooley. I am a 23 year old college student living in St. Louis, Mo. I've always tried to remain strong and fight my battles as well as bear the burdens of others. I have been a mother to my younger brother and sister since i was a small child due to my parents' chemical dependancy. We were removed from their custody in 1996 and placed in the care of my aunt. I currently care for my mother. We lived in and out of homeless shelters when i was younger and my mother never recovered from that lifestyle. I got my own place and took her in off of the streets and now am her primary support system. Myself and my younger brother are both college students and our little sister is a junior in highschool. Due to her rebellious ways she was put out of school recently which in turn caused my aunt to put her out. With that being said, I had to take her in and now its just getting harder and harder to make ends meet. My bills are passed due and in threat of disconnection, my lease expires next month on Nov 14th, but i wont be able to renew because they are going up 25 dollars on the rent so I cant afford to stay here. Its hard to find a new place whben i dont have money for a security deposit. And the stress is becoming emotionally and physically overwrhelming. I am a sickel cell anemia patient, trying to go to school, maintain a household, pay a car note and insurance, care for my mother, raise a 16 year old and stay healthy with no help. I work monday through friday but my income is not nearly enough for my obligations and responsibilities I would not be on this website if i didnt really sincerely need help. I've never asked for a hand-out, Im not that type of person,. I am just in over my head right now and i really need some assistance, especially to ensure that I have a place for my sister and I to live next month. hi i have a lovely daughter who has a super wonderful son, my grandson who is now facing his last year in highschool. we are a family of workerbees. myself i have two jobs and work 7 days a week, just to keep afloat and to make sure my family at least has a bite to eat. my daughter was laid off as so many Americans have been. i try to do what i can to help them, but it is tough when you then also fall behind on bills, rent and trying to pay taxes owed to this goverment because you work two jobs, the cicle just never ends. we pay paul to pay peter and peter to pay paul,two steps forward and always 3 steps back. i don't get it sometimes, we are simple people and are not material people. iam so grateful we have a roof over our head, that is why i work 7 days a week 58 hours a week. but now i am trying to help my daughter pay her rent, while she stuggles to find a job and keep her apt in tact and put food on her table. iam afraid now it is hitting both of us hard. and my grandson's last year at highschool should be a year of great things, but great things cost money. so to pay rent and bills without income effects all that is in life, iam grateful she has a landlord that is kind and trying to work with her, but really how long can that be...iam not sure what is happing to our country right now, but it is scary as the streets fill with the hungry and the homeless, please help me help them, so they don't end up homeless. any help would help. i could only give my daughter a couple hundred dollars a month towards her rent since her layoff. iam in l.a. and she is colorado springs, and iam thankful as rents are cheaper there! iam sure if she lived here she would have been evicted by now! my plea is for help with her rent. My dad is the loving father of 3. He is 52 and has 3 grandkids who he adores. He has been with my mom since they were in highschool they were highschool sweet hearts. He worked hard for us his entire life struggling to give us the best he could. Then about eight years ago was told he had CLL. The chronic form of lukemia. He was tired a lot of the time for the first few years but seemed okay otherwise.then his bloodwork just went downhill and he got weaker and weaker from there slowly worsened. My parents live in northern Maine and the cancer center is 100 miles from their home.Their car broke down and for months he could only go to the local doctor just to get blood readings. The American Cancer Association has a volunteer program to drive patients to treatment but no one where they live.I live more than300 miles away too. so by the time they got the car fixed (months)he was too sick for even chemo. Now we are just trying to keep him comfortable for his final months they say there is not anything else to do he is now in hospice care. He is being creamated his wish. I am just asking for help with his final expenses and to take some of the burden off my mom after he is gone would give him some peace he could not get life insurance because he was already sick.
So please please anything would help our family be at peace and let my fathers final days be a little less worrisome.
