I'm not ill or using a sob story, I am just asking for some help to cover my grandpas funeral costs he died so suddenly 2 weeks ago and didn't have life insurance or money to cover funeral costs - in fact the money he had left went to charities all over . I miss him so much and feel absoloutley terrible that we cantb afford to give him a good send off it is heartbreaking I loved my grandpa so much Please help me .

I just want to get these things paid off and get on with my life. Find ameaningless job that pays the bills and attempt to live my life out in a dark corner somewhere where nobodoy bothers me any more. i am at my wit's end. 90 calls per month from sallie mae. I can set my sleep and eating schedule by the way they call, once at 8:30 AM, once at 1:30 pm, and once at 7pm. Sometimes more depending on how they are set up, and from how many callcenters they are operating. I am depressed, hopeless, and unemployed. I have been looking through 2 HEARTBREAKING YEARS of unemployment, and my degree is useless and obsolete now. If things continue as they are I'm scheduled to retire about fifteen years after my 115th birthday. I am angry, suicidally depressed, anxious, hopeless, all of that rolled into one big human ball of failed promises, traumatic experiences, abusive relationships and broken dreams. I want to be able to heal. To get back on my feet and limp my way toward recovery, and that's how people can help me. At fourteen I got a full-time job to pay for my medical bills and a part-time job working at a nursing home to help my family. I have always been stuborn and a fighter, but at this point in my life the fight has just about been exstinguished out of me and I have to admit that I need some help. Over the last twenty years I have been under anasthetic approximately 125 times. I am missing more parts than I have. I feel like an experiment gone wrong or a human pin coushon. I hope that at least some of my surgical suffering at least helped the surgeons learn something from my body...You see I have lived longer than anyone that they know of with this kind of Lupus. It usually manifesters in the late 30's or 40's not in children. My most recent operation was on June 9th 2011, to fix holes in my intestines that were accidentley left after my colon was removed (my colon exploded after it had been recected four times) Right now I have an Illyectomy system that does not work correctly, it leaks blood, bile, puss, fecal liquid ect. and the plastic appliances do not work on me because my skin is so sensative from the Lupus. My medical exspenses are so astronomical even with Medicare and I struggle every month to pay my basic needs (rent, public service water copays ect) I was forced to retire at 23 my body deceided it just couldn't do it anymore, even though I worked very hard to put myself through college so that I could have a decent job that I enjoyed. Thank God that it does not take much to feed me, because the state of WI says that I do not qualify for food stamps or medical assistance, I make $4.oo a month too much. I am not asking for large donations, I know the ecomomy is bad and we are all struggling. What I am asking that when you balance your checking account that you round up to the nearest dollar and please donate the change. My goal is to collect enough money to see a special surgeon at Freodert Hospital in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He would like to see if he can help me have some kind of quality of life and end some of the suffering that I have been enduring for a long time . I would be happy if I even received a little relief. I don't remember what it is like to feel healthy, everyone in this life deserves at least a shot at it... If I am given the help that I need, I fully intend to open my home again as a safe house ( I am not able to do that now because of the leaking illeostmy ) and I would love to a foster mom to any child who needs a good loving and stable home. I will now go on. My partner has full-blown AIDS. I have watched his health decline severely over the years. It is quite heartbreaking. His last CD-4 count was 146, but luckily still with an undetectable viral load. My partner was a maintenance technician for apartment complexes for years and I have consistently been in the hospitality industry.

At this time, we are now trying to make it on my 40-hour per week front desk job which pays a whopping $8.00 per hour.

We began this charity when our own 3 kids each wanted to play a different sport and we just couldn't afford it. About a week ago, I noticed my dog's eyes had suddenly become a cloudy blue/grey color. He started walking into things, bumping into furniture, and was not able to walk downstairs without tripping. My mom and I took him to the vet a few days later, and the doctor said he had cataracts, and with a simple removal surgery he would see perfectly. The problem is, the surgery would cost $2000-$5000. Neither of my parents have that kind of money, and I can't bear to think that my dog would have to spend the rest of his life (he has a good 5+ years left in him), basically blind. His lack of vision has also made him depressed and embarrassed. He doesn't want to play or go for walks anymore, and he hides in shame after walking into things around the house. If you can spare anything to help pay for his surgery, it would be so appreciated. It's truly heartbreaking seeing him like this.

Put very simply, my girlfriend of 6 months and best friend of nearly a year needs money for school. Due to her and her family's lack of money she can no longer attend the school where we met. The alternative is a community college except that it is 45 minutes away from her house. She will not even be able to generate enough revenue from her two jobs to pay for school and gas to get to school. It is heartbreaking for me to watch the girl that I love go from a top flight university to not even being able to go to school. To further the problems, the community college has a limit on the private loans you can take out. She needs about $15,000 dollars for things to feasibly work out. She can use loans for 7,000 of that. Her mom lives paycheck to paycheck to take care of the three kids and her dad is out of the picture since he cheated on her mom and left. This is my last ditch effort to help her out. I guess I am not expecting this to work but it's work a try, right? I want to extend my deepest gratitude for anyone who gives this the time of day or even sends their sympathies.

She does visit them for about an hour ever 6 months or year. She was ordered to pay child support last year, and has vowed not to pay it. I cant get any answers out of the state, They said they would go after her taxes, but she does not work, she lives the party life. I work every chance i get, i put in job applications all week it seems, iv put well over 100 in in the past year. The work i do find is day labor work and what not. Its barley keeping us here. I want to move me and my kids to a different state. We have a plan but dont have the money to do it. Im terrified i will have to move me and my kids to a homeless shelter if we cant get the money up to move. We have a family member in the north USA who is willing to help with work and housing, but they have no money either. 1000 would change mine and my childrens life! My father was a Vietnam vet who proudly enlisted into the army to serve his country. After willingly serving two tours of duty, he came home and married my mother (his high school sweetheart) and started a family consisting of me and my two older sisters.
When I was four, my father began experiencing difficulties with his legs and feet. After many unsuccessful operations, it was determined that he was losing the bone density in his legs and he was put in a wheelchair.
My father was an amazing man; he never let his being in a wheelchair keep him down. He climbed Pike's Peak twice and Mount Evans once in his wheelchair, one of his climbs was filmed by a local TV show in Colorado called P.M. Magazine. We have the video footage on beta and are trying to find a way to convert it to DVD. I would love to share his story with anyone wanting to watch it. It shows what a courageous man he was. It was a heartbreaking climb over rough terrain and sometimes he had to strap his wheelchair to his ankles and drag it while he scooted up steep inclines on his backside. It never deterred him. He had more strength and determination than any man I have ever met in my life. He also ran marathons in his wheelchair and spoke to other handicapped and disabled individuals to help them realize that although someone may be hindered, it just means that they learn to function differently. "I may be in a wheelchair, but the wheelchair isn't in me," he used to say.
In 1987, when I was 12, the harsh weather conditions of Colorado became unbearable for my father and we moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico.
My father was never granted disability in Colorado or New Mexico and while he fought for 30 years for his pension from the Army, he never received that either (the common story of we can't seem to find your files even though my father repeatedly submitted his paperwork to show his contribution to our country). As a result, my mother found herself working 2 full time jobs just to support us and we still barely made ends meet.
We grew up poor our entire lives, but we understood what it was like to be rich in other ways. Our family was close and we knew that, no matter how rough things could be at times, that we really did have each other. My sisters and I grew very close over the time when we had no electricity and only had each other to listen to because we didn't have the power for television and radio. We are still very close to this day. I will never regret how we grew up, even with the struggles, because it was the foundation of who we are today. We all learned how to be kind and unselfish and value each other. Both my sisters and I all have our own children and work hard to instill the same values in them.
In 2000, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer as a result of being subjected to Agent Orange while in Vietnam. The tumors were visible in both lungs and nothing could be done. He passed away one week after the diagnosis. We had no time to prepare and certainly no time to say goodbye.

My mother now lives in PA in a cute little Amish town. She has since remarried a wonderful man named Jack. He is also a Vietnam veteran.

My sisters and I still live in New Mexico with our families, although my heart is definitely on the east coast with my mother.
A short time after my mother moved to PA, she got a
job as a nurse. She loved helping other people as she had done all her life. Unfortunately, she suffered a fall that left her with permanent neck and spinal injuries. After going through her own numerous surgeries, she was unable to continue the work that she loved so much. The tables have turned from when we were growing up where she was the only source of income and Jack has been the sole provider for the last several years.
Recently, Jack began to feel very ill and it looks like the effects of Agent Orange have done their damage once again. He is suffering from skin cancer and stage 4 prostate cancer and after going through a series of tests, the probability of also having lymphoma is very high. My mother is going through the same horror once again and while my sisters and I are grown, losing a father to Agent Orange for the second time isn't easy on the heart.
A few years ago, my mother lost both parents and her only sibling, a brother, in the span of four months. She has nobody and I can't bear to leave her alone while she suffers physically and emotionally.
Unfortunately, I lost my job a couple months ago due to layoffs and have had extreme difficulty finding another source of income. Las Cruces is a small city with very limited opportunity. While I worked in the same profession for the past 11 years, I have applied for any and every type of job I could find.
We are struggling to find a way to move close to my mother so that I can take care of her and so she won't be alone if she loses Jack. My sisters and I are the only family she has left and I want nothing more than to be there for her.

I am hoping to find a job there very quickly and I would also love to attend schooling and get my degree in forensics. It has been a dream of mine to be able to assist in solving crime related cases. I firmly believe that I can accomplish my career goals and help my mother if I were in a state with far more job opportunities.
We have never been comfortable financially and my 2 teenage boys understand what it is like to do without the things they want in exchange for just the things they need, much like my sisters and I when we were growing up. I have always wanted more for my kids than to see them grow up here in a high poverty state. I believe the job opportunities and schooling for them will be equally beneficial. They both already have career minded goals that will take them farther in a bigger state.

It has been 4 years since I've seen my mother as neither of us can afford the expense of a trip.

All I am requesting is enough assistance to be able to move my family closer to my mother and locate a house to rent while I search for a job. I am only asking for short term support as I know that I am capable of supporting my own family and I am certain that I will be able to find gainful employment in a short time.

My husband and I have been married for four years and we recently bought our first house together. (Well, condo actually because we can't afford a house.)

My husband suffers from severe depression and anxiety. While it can fluctuate, currently he's on a downward spiral. This is the worst I've seen him in the 8 years I've known him. It's been absolutely heartbreaking to see him like this. We have him seeing a psychiatrist and a therapist - the psychiatrist keeps prescribing medications that our prescription drug plan doesn't cover (mostly because he's tried entirely too many things) and are expensive. He's seeing a therapist once a week that we're paying for out of pocket as well. We started him in an anger management class but we can no longer afford it. For the past 3 months or so, it's been very difficult just to get through day-to-day activities for him, and it's taking it's toll on me as well.

Anyway, when we moved we used most of our 'extra' money for all the unexpected costs associated with buying a new home. (Silly first-time homebuyers. We had no idea what to expect.) So we were stretched pretty thin to begin with. Now, after being here a few months we find that our car insurance will be increasing by 50%. (Apparently we should have stayed in the city - we thought moving away from it would be better!) Not only that but we will have to pay the difference on our policy for the few months retroactive to the tune of $900 each month for June and July. Unfortunately since our little nest egg was used in all the 'new home' expenses, we just don't have anything extra to cover this. We tried to cancel the car insurance to just take the bus for awhile, but since our car is financed they won't let us do that.

Then... I lost my job on May 27th. We were given less than 24 hours notice that the company was closing. I was working at an at-home position, which was so perfect for me as I too suffer from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and migraines, so working from home was always a blessing. I'm unable to apply for unemployment as my job was self-contracted (basically paid under the table and I was to file tax documents at the end of the year).

To add insult to injury, my company has not yet paid us for the PREVIOUS paycheck owed, nevertheless our final paychecks.

My mortgage is due, my condo fees are due, my student loans are due, of course there is the car payment and insurance due, the groceries are running low. My husband has stopped taking his medication, stopped going to anger management classes, and we've cut his therapist down to once every other week. We've already cut unnecessariy things like cable, tried adjusting our budget, etc but we just can't make it through these next two months, especially if I don't get paid or I don't find a job right away.

I'm desperately seeking a new job, but in the meantime our bills are piling up and we just can't pay them since I haven't been paid in a month. I don't know what to do. I know things will get better. They have to. But right now I'm having a hard time convincing myself of anything otherwise... We just need to get back on our feet.

Well hello there! I must start off by saying that I am not exactly expecting this to work but I figured it was worth a try. I do not have any insane dramatic story to tell and I do not want someone to give me thousands upon thousands of dollars. I do not believe that in our current economy anyone truly has that type of money to spare. I simply am a 23 year old girl working full time in the business world and having a tough time making ends meet. At my age, having bills go to collections is absolutely heartbreaking. I'm sure my amazing mother would help if she was able but seeing as her and my father are barely able to keep up with medical expenses (shes awaiting a lung transplant), I could never expect them to help. I'm sure anyone reading this who has a few extra dollars would rather spend it on a new outfit or a steak dinner but I simply am asking for a mere $100. I would love to be able to keep my electricity on and I have sort of run out of ideas for what else to do.

I am a 33 yr old mom trying to get my 6 yr old girl a bed. I was in the process if getting a bed from a rental place, but when my husband lost his job, we fell behind. Now he is working again, but it is taking all we have to keep our small apartment and keep lights on and food. We are losing the bed. I have to find a way to get her a bed quick. I put a post up on craigslist, but dont know if I can get a quick response.
Like I said, we are behind on all our bills, but I think our landlord and electric company will work with us. The only thing I care about is getting my daughter a bed. Our family and dear friends “Lindsey Mlekush” & Amanda Hein have been donating food, time, medical supplies, under ground fencing, blankets , pillows, tarp everything you can imagine a helpless animal needs to numerous rescues throughout Georgia for quite sometime now. We are always looking for the best way we can help these helpless animals.

After some excited brainstorming we came up with the idea to open our own not for profit rescue. Hence the name “Kandi Boo Rescue” came about.

Please allow me to offer some background into what inspired us to open Kandi Boo Animal Rescue.

We were informed, through corroborated stories of animal rescue volunteers of many unspoken tragedies that were suffered by the less fortunate animals at the local humane society. Notwithstanding the tireless endeavors and good intentions of the animal shelter, the fact remains that these facilities are unable to handle the increasingly heavy caseload of animals that are being rescued, abandoned or
relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

After being made aware of the heartbreaking plight of these homeless animals, we feel
committed to do something to assist these no-kill animal rescue organizations, which are committed not only to educating the public about the issues of animal overpopulation, and offering of spay and neuter services to help address this problem, but also to finding foster or permanent homes for homeless animals, in lieu of euthanizing them. Our goal is to help defray some of their ongoing rescue-related costs: e.g., imminent medical care, food, sheltering, and follow-up vet visits (which include prescription costs).

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.



The situation has become acute, and although taking measures to help
control the overpopulation of animals is important (through spay & neuter programs), our hearts lie with alleviating some of the current suffering of those animals already born that are unable to help themselves.

As a frequent donor to numerous charitable causes myself, I am sensitive to the fact that during this time of economic recession, it is most important to reach out and lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself, including the animals.
I myself own 4 former rescue dogs, Lindsey owns 2 former rescues and Amanda fosters animals from other No Kill Rescue Centers until they get adopted into their forever home.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
Either or is great, but if you could donate both we could get started allot faster in the building process.

Everything we receive is through donations, we don’t ask for cash donations in any way, shape or form. Materials for building the kennels, dog food Veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical attention so on and so forth.

Once we are up and running with the rescue we plan to incorparate Autistic children as well as children with other handicaps into our program.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate cats and dogs that are on the high kill list for euthanasia, treating their illness if any and placing homeless animals into safe and loving homes, and not toward administrative costs.

Our family and dear friends “Lindsey Mlekush” & Amanda Hein have been donating food, time, medical supplies, under ground fencing, blankets , pillows, tarp everything you can imagine a helpless animal needs to numerous rescues throughout Georgia for quite sometime now. We are always looking for the best way we can help these helpless animals.

After some excited brainstorming we came up with the idea to open our own not for profit rescue. Hence the name “Kandi Boo Rescue” came about.

Please allow me to offer some background into what inspired us to open Kandi Boo Animal Rescue.

We were informed, through corroborated stories of animal rescue volunteers of many unspoken tragedies that were suffered by the less fortunate animals at the local humane society. Notwithstanding the tireless endeavors and good intentions of the animal shelter, the fact remains that these facilities are unable to handle the increasingly heavy caseload of animals that are being rescued, abandoned or
relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

After being made aware of the heartbreaking plight of these homeless animals, we feel
committed to do something to assist these no-kill animal rescue organizations, which are committed not only to educating the public about the issues of animal overpopulation, and offering of spay and neuter services to help address this problem, but also to finding foster or permanent homes for homeless animals, in lieu of euthanizing them. Our goal is to help defray some of their ongoing rescue-related costs: e.g., imminent medical care, food, sheltering, and follow-up vet visits (which include prescription costs).

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.



The situation has become acute, and although taking measures to help
control the overpopulation of animals is important (through spay & neuter programs), our hearts lie with alleviating some of the current suffering of those animals already born that are unable to help themselves.

As a frequent donor to numerous charitable causes myself, I am sensitive to the fact that during this time of economic recession, it is most important to reach out and lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself, including the animals.
I myself own 4 former rescue dogs, Lindsey owns 2 former rescues and Amanda fosters animals from other No Kill Rescue Centers until they get adopted into their forever home.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
