My 1997 Chevrolet has stopped running. I overpaid $2700.00 for it, and now to fix it, it will cost more than it's value. I live far away from my job where I just started working this week after looking for work for more than four months. So in a nutshell, I'm completely broke.

I decided that the safest route to go would be to buy a scooter, as they're more convenient, there's less likely for something to go wrong, and they're cheaper and better on gas. However, I have absolutely no money to buy one, and since I have no vehicle or transportation what so ever, I won't be able to make it to work, and this will only make my situation worse.

I have found some very nice used scooters for $500 on craigslist nearby. I would so incredibly grateful if you could help me with this $500 and I will have NO problem paying you back $100 or more a month via. paypal until I have paid you off. I can't take out a loan because I'm only 20 and haven't developed enough credit to do so (trust me, I've been down that route).

If you do this for me, I will be able to get to work, by groceries, and keep on going until things get better for me. Also, I was recently accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and a scooter would be perfect for getting around a place like that.

That's all I need, just $500. I'll pay you back monthly, I'll also give you any information you need in order to prove to you that I'm good for it. I can even set up a contract (if need be) stating that I WILL pay off said vehicle by a certain date. Anything you give will help. I'll be extremely grateful for any amount you send and put it all towards a new mode of transportation so I can make it to work.

I am working full time, not getting child support, supporting my whole family. I am barely making enough to cover all of my bills and daycare, and haven't been able to save for tires. I came across this site, and thought it couldn't hurt to try. ANYTHING would be helpful, my tires are completely bald, and 1 of them is a spare. I desperately need to get a set of tires so I can continue to have reliable transportation for me and my kids.

I really hate begging, but it's my last hope. I was working full time and just barely staying afloat with my basic bills (electric, rent, car insurance). I got injured at my work a month ago and haven't been able to return to work. It's doctor visit and testing over and over again. I am currently fighting to get workman's comp but they said it may be a while. I am a single mother and a 3 year old. She has medicaid and we get food stamps, but I haven't been able to get any other assistance.... either there's an extremely long wait or they're not taking applications. We also do not get any child support, her father is a deadbeat. I have no family to turn to either. I need help with my rent for just this month to keep a roof over our heads. It's $450 . I used up my savings to adopt a child from a bad situation. I am sick with worry not knowing how I will pay my bills. I'm in my mid 50's and am haven't been able to get a job. I do not have a college education. If I could get enough money to get ahead on my bills, I would like to go to nursing school so I can more easily pay my bills and help others in need.

My name is Kris, and I am a 28 year old mother to 2 boys, aged 9 and 4. I was recently laid off from a decent paying job, and haven't been able to find a new one yet, though I'm trying EVERY day. I have already had my cable/internet shut off. I'm on my phone now. That will be shut off soon, I'm sure. Car insurance has elapsed, rent is passed due. I'm defeated. I would be grateful for help with anything, but mostly, I need household items. Dish soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc. This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I normally don't ask for help with anything and this is my first post on this site I am new, but I am unable to work and my husband is a goraphobic veteran for those who don't know what goraphobia is it's a condition where an individual cannot be around others, or they will go into a rage. Unfortunatly from being in the Military for so many years he cannot be around others or come out of the home so he is unable to work. I on the other hand have for many years made my way one way or another through the years paying our bills month to month. I cannot go out into the work field because I am the one who cares for everyone in my household. Recently I am slowly losing all my income and I now need help paying my rent, My landlord has been very grateful to work with me seeing that I haven't paid rent since November 2011 but he is now asking that I pay him the money but I have absolutely no way to pay him. I have 3 children a 14 year old a 10 year old and an 11 month old. Hello. I am bipolar and in the process of applying for disability. Due to my bipolar I cannot keep work and am trying to get myself and my survival together while in the disability process. I applied mid April for disability but it will be several months until anything is done.
Right now I am in need of help for medication and my counseling fees. My medication is 347.00 a month and my counseling fees have to be paid upfront and those are 25.00 a week. I haven't had my medicine in 2 days and if I go much longer I will be in bed crying for days. I don't like to skip my counselor but I will to get my meds.
I just need help until SSI comes through...please..

Hello, I am so uncomfortable doing this. I am a 42 year old woman with two wonderful toddler boys ages 3 and 2. My troubles started in 2010 during my pregnancy with my second child. I became very sick and the doctors were unable to find the cause. During the search for a cause I was diagnosed with Lymphoma, but the cause was finally identified when I gave birth two months prematurely. I will not go into graphic detail, but I came out of the hospital 7 weeks later,with shortbowel syndrome and other serious problems. My son thankfully was fine and is thriving. I worked for a government agency for 16 years, and suddenly found myself surviving on disability. I must add that my husband was not much of a help. We are currently seeking to get divorced after 5 years of marriage. Through my illnesess he has been verbally, emotionally and on occasion physically abusive. I prolonged the divorce due to my health conditions and he is a good father to our children. My, what I thought was an upstanding, husband lost his job in 2009 and has not worked since but some small jobs. Even though he has worked, he has barely contributed to supporting the family. I have managed to keep the family afloat by paying the critical bills. What I haven't been able to pay is:

*our monthly condo maintanence fee of $258.00 for the past 3 months.
*I have a $160.00 car insurance payment due on 6-10-12, this will keep my paid until 10-10-12.
*The divorce attorney is asking for a $2500.00 retainer.
*June health insurance of $555.00.
*The numerous unpaid medical expenses.

I make it happen with the rest of the things my boys and I need. In July of 2012 I will recieve Medicare, since I will then have been on disability for 2 years. I think that will make things somewhat easier on me. As a note, lymphoma is not being treated right now. Thank goodness the nodules have remained stable, though if there is any change I will probably have to start some sort of treatment.

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Since almost dying in 2010, I have a renewed faith in God (though I have always been a believer). I know that God walks beside me and my children and the He watches over us. Prayers to all that are on this site, whether asking for help or giving it.

Hi I am a mom of 3 children, 1 a special needs child. I work as a nurse assistant but it only covers about half of our needs. I work hard and do my best every day and try to keep a smile and a good attitude but sometimes your best just isn't good enough. My special needs baby is 8 years old and is speech impaired, deaf in one ear, severely asthmatic, and has ADHD. Medicaid pays for most of the meds and specialists but not all. I pay for some of his meds and specialists and then there's the gas to go to and from. All in all I'm spending about $800 per month that medicaid is refusing. I haven't been able to get an answer why as of yet. I've applied for social security for him but have been denied twice and now am awaiting a hearing which I am told could be anywhere between 18 and 21 months just to get a hearing date. I only make about $1500 per month so simple things like even a trip to the laundromat is a challenge. Apart from my son's problems I also have 2 baby girls aged 9 and 6 to take care of. Thanks be to God they are healthy. All of my family has passed away due to various forms of cancer so it's just my children and my husband and self. He is out of a job presently and has been seeking work since being laid off from his last job (about 7 months). I have applied for a pell grant and registered for LPN classes at the local community college to try to help myself but it will take about 15 months to finish school let alone get a job. I've managed to pay rent but am 2 months behind on the internet bill (used for school) am 5 months behind in car payments and am at risk of a repo any day. If I lose my car then how am I going to be able to go to work,school, take the kids to school, take the kids to the doctor,grocery shop, do laundry, or anything else? I currently do not have auto insurance because I can't afford it.(was cancelled for nonpayment 2 days ago.) I managed to pay my water and cell(about $100) to keep that going. I am almost a month behind on my electricity but have managed to keep it going by paying about half the bill per month. As of now, I have a balance of $150. I don't know what to do. If anyone would please help us I would be forever grateful and appreciative.

I moved from the west coast to the east, to start a new life for me, I'm a25 year old female living in a small apartment with a roommate and her dog(ifound them in thepaper) after being in the new area for a week I found a good paying job and I was on cloud 9, then I got sick and spent a few days in the hospital, without insurance ( I had been at my job long enough to have it). I had to take a loan out on my car to help with my medical bills, that wasn't enough, so I was stuck making payments on my car, the hospital, my car insurance and my rent, my job laid everyone off on a Tuesday saying that it was closing, I never got a last check, its been a few months and I stopped paying for car insurance, and haven't paid my share of the rent in two months (my roommate understands but can tell she is getting tired) and I woke up yesterday to a tow truck taking my car, if you could please help me out while I'm down I'm just ashamed of how my life has gone.

I haven't suffered any type of hardship that would warrant help. This is strictly an experiment in philanthropy to see how generous people are, and how long it will take to reach a set amount. I am finally getting serious about paying off debt that includes a hefty student loan, credit cards, and medical bills from a serious car accident that I was in last year. Right now I am behind on my phone bill and barely making rent. I am in need of a 'hand up' rather than a 'hand out' in order to get moving with this plan. If any of you have listened to Dave Ramsey (or even if you haven't) and have a heart for someone who is sincerely making an effort to pay down debt, please donate. I recently lost dependent status and access to the base, along with all of my insurance. I have no money and next to no clothes because everything I managed to take does not fit anymore. I'm trying to find a job and go to school but haven't been able to do either because I have no money to get around. My credit card is over the limit, and has been piling up higher and higher, and I can't afford the payments. It is currently at $1024... I'd like to be able to afford transportation for a job, college, and money for clothes and food... with this, I would be able to not struggle and continue with my plans, and perhaps find somewhere to live soon, as well. Any help would be appreciated...

I have just received a notice that my landlord will have me evicted because I am late on my rent. I'm 14 days late. I've been managing to make ends meet but I haven't been able to find a job and my previous employer has went out of business after working there for 5 years. I have filled out so many applications, made phone calls, physically went in to speak with a manager and still no luck. I go to every job, career, or hiring fair I can and still nothing. I paid my April rent and had nothing left but $17 in my pocket. I bought rice and beans and that's all I've eaten for the past month. I only eat 1 meal a day because I can't afford to eat anything more. My light are off because I couldn't pay it. I've sold everything I think is of value...my laptop, my tv, my phone, and any expensive clothing items I owned (which were gifts). I'm 20 years old and my parents can't help, they are bankrupt as of 6 months ago. I try not to let anyone see me down about this, but I'm extremely depressed because of this and I'm trying everything I can to help myself.

Hi I'm a single mother of two working as a new nurse. I've gotten myself into a financial whole that has been mounting since I started school in 2010. I graduated in 2012 and am now working as an LPN, however I got myself in way over my head my last semester of school and haven't been able to play catch up since then. Currently I am one payment behind on my home, 2 on my vehicle, my water has been shut off, and my payment plan with the electric company is now void and I owe 674.00 to keep electricity. I've tried to receive state assistance to no avail as I do not qualify for their services. Any help would be much appreciated to help me get back on track.

I really need to get my son. I'm a fulltime college student with a part time job. My son lives with his father in Florida and after our divorce I lost everything including my special little guy. I'm not a bad mother I just ran out of money during the proceedings and his dad trounced me. I haven't seen him since last Christmas and working as hard as I can I still don't have enough money to send for him. The only time I have visitation is during school breaks so this is my only opportunity to see him until Thanksgiving. I miss him so much.
