Hi I am a father of 3 wonderful kids and 1 beautiful wife. As everyone knows in this time of hardship for everyone that sometimes it is hard to ask for help. I just recently had surgery to remove my gaul bladder due to unable to breath. My bills are huge due to no insurance. I would like to thank everyone ahead of time that just to even get a prayer to help out would be greatly appricated and those who do help thank you for your kindness.

I haven't suffered any type of hardship that would warrant help. This is strictly an experiment in philanthropy to see how generous people are, and how long it will take to reach a set amount. I am asking everyone who reads this to donate. The amount is up to you, but I am asking for a minimum of $1.00. The goal is to see how long it will take to reach one billion. I am a 39-year-old woman living in the Nashville area who has been off of work without pay for the last month. Though I am employed full-time, I have run out of paid time off and am currently on medical leave until I can have back surgery. The surgery itself is not complicated, but it would entail 3 days of a hospital stay, 2 weeks of physical therapy to assist in regaining my mobility, and 4-5 more weeks off before I can return to work. This surgery, though necessary, was unanticipated and I do not have money saved to sustain myself for another 2 months off. I do not have children, so I am ineligible for cash assistance through local government. I do not have short-term disability through my employer. I am ineligible for short-term disability through the government because my condition does not require that I am off work for 12 months, nor will it result in my death. I am also not being allowed to withdraw from my retirement for hardship reasons because, according to them, I am -only- contributing the mandatory amount. I also do not have -perfect credit- so I am unable to go out and obtain a loan for what I need. I have tried so many avenues and have hit dead ends each time. My goal is to raise $2500 to cover rent and expenses for up to three months: 2 months of actual recovery time and an additional months worth for incidentals and to give me time to return to work and have regular paychecks come in. Please help so that I can regain my ability to walk without pain and return to work. Thank you.

I am a mother of an autistic son. I am in need of help with bills and car repairs. I am a private contractor for a local Medicaid Cab company. This is a self-employed position and there are expenses with it. I have 3 more years to pay on a loan for vehicle that is in need of an engine and possibly repairs on the axles. My income is determined by the fluctuation of clients needing to go to the doctor and the gas prices. Gas has hit $4.15 a gallon here and it takes a big chunk out of my income.
I have been married for almost 16 years to a wonderful guy. He lost his job with a company that makes car parts the last time the economy fell. This is a small town and the economy around us is based on the car business and it is still slow. Trying to find another job has been very hard on the whole family and my low income is making it a lot harder. Losing his job and not being able to provide for us has taken a hardship on my husband. He has become very depressed and with no health insurance we cannot get help. He has gained a lot of weight and now is unable to walk very far.
I am getting a little bit of help from the Government but they are telling me that they do not have a self-employed category. This means that they do not take the gas and repairs out of my income before they put it in so they are showing that I am making way more than I am.
I have asked several family members for help and they cannot help. I can only hope and pray for God to provide us with a miracle because we are a month behind on our rent. Catching up will be impossible. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I honestly do not know what to do anymore. I have exhausted all my options. I have tried so hard to stay stable, I work two jobs along with studying for my degree and looking after my three year old, but I am still in this horrible situation. My landlord has threatened to throw me out if I don't pay him within the next few days. I owe him £780 but I have not got the money to pay him, I barely have enough money to keep myself and my son alive at the moment. anyone who is an animal lover knows what i am going through. my dog is so much more than a pet, he has seen me thru the worst times. recently blood starting pouring out thru his urinary tract. i scooped him up and rushed him to the vet. several tests later and still inconclusive . tomorrow he is going for an ultrasound. these bills are a true hardship but i will do anything to make him comfortable. i am not asking for myself, times have never been this bad for me (like many)i am on disability and have not been able to pay my mortgage, that is another story, and that is fine. i always say as long as i have a roof over my head and my dog i will be fine (i have no family, my mother died peacefully in this home we shared 2.5yrs ago) any help would be welcome. i will provide vet bills if you like. thank you.

I need to pay off a small loan so I can re-borrow. Recently my husband lost his job of nearly 20 years. We have been able to stay afloat,but now we have unforeseen expenses. I can borrow against my 401k if I can pay off previous loan. I tried to get a hardship disbursement but didn't qualify. I work a lot to keep us ahead. A new loan would give us a small amount to put aside for future problems. My health is now suffering due to constant worry.

As of today I am currently £23,002.27 in debt. It is a lot of money which I am paying off bit by bit, but when you know your time on this Earth could be limited by cancer, paying this off means much more than it would normally.

In 2005 I was diagnosed with a Malignant Melanoma on my head, it was a large tumour which grew further than it should have thanks to a blunder by my doctor. By the time I had it removed, it was a stage four lesion and my chances were slim.

But with surgery and radiotherapy I managed to get through and for one year I was pretty much all clear! but this was short lived when, after a routine scan, I was given the grave news that it had become metastatic and spread to my liver and my lungs.

That was three years ago and by the grace of God I have survived with little change, but ever since this terrible ordeal I have sunk further in to debt. As you might imagine, the propensity to spend money in times of hardship is something I could not avoid.

I don't know how much time I have left and as it is I am struggling to pay debts and get through on a day-to-day basis.
I would like to live a little before my health deteriorates, go on holiday, have a bit of fun and I am worried for my wife too as I can't take out life insurance with my condition, and I want to make sure she is secure after I am gone.

Any donation is good, if I could pay off all of my debts so that we would have a bit of money to use to enjoy what could be my last years, even better. One thing I would be certain is that my gratitude would not be suitably expressed in words, as it would be genuinely immense.
