Greetings, my family was recently victimized by a terrible theft. My mother and sister had all of their jewelry taken. Much of it had sentimental value class rings, family heirlooms, etc. There were also a number of electronics taken, some with family photos. I also lost a number of things. I was saving up money but that's gone and now it seems like a nightmare. But mostly I feel awful for my mother and sister. Greetings, Me and my family are farmers located in one of the most remote and rugged regions of Himalayas in India where there are no access to roads or transportations. Our home and fields are situated over the mountain approx. 3500 feet above sea level where the weather is unpredictable which makes farming very hard and life unbearable. All the farm work is done manually by hand by the members of my family. We normally grow garlic in small quantities which we sell to sustain the family for a whole year. As there are no access to roads we have to carry the loads on our backs at times 50 to 80 KG to access the nearest road which is couple of hours down the mountain and is a back breaking process. Even to get small food items we have to be going through this exercise everyday for our survival. Our everyday diet consist of five or six rotis (wheat flour and water mixed and roasted like a pancake) with mostly dal (gravy made out of pulse) with occasional rice two times a day. At times we collect wild vegetables from nearby forest to supplement our diet. Because of lack of nutrition our health conditions also suffer many times in a year. Here even today babies are born in the house. Birth is supervised by one of the older village woman as there are no doctors or any qualified medical people. In cases of emergency we have to carry the patient on our back to the road and any medical attention can be gotten 15 kms further down the road. This has resulted in many deaths in past years with young and old.
Since last two years due to changing weather conditions and untimely rainfall our fields could not yield crops properly. We are poor farmers just scrapping through life trying to stay alive. Added to these problems last year three of my family members one of whom is a six month old baby had deteriorating health conditions which needed hospitalisation and medicines which cost us major portion of the money we could earn by selling our crop. Normally we earn about 50,000 INR in a year by selling garlic and we grow small quantities of wheat and corn enough to keep the family through the year. Due to these sufferings and extra expenditure am now in great distress to be even able to buy seeds to grow crop in our field to sustain ourselves. To have one morsel of food has become a nightmare for all of us and we are nine members in the family with two small babies of 8 months and two years. The future of our survival looks very bleak given the conditions and lack of health and finance to tend the field.
I would be highly grateful if your goodselves would consider me and my family a worthy cause to extend your help to us with 5000 USD which I can use to buy necessary seeds for the crops, few essential medications, a mule for transportation, fix the leaking roof of our home, do little maintenance to our field for yielding more crop and get me, my family andour field back on track as our field is the only source of our survival. My name is Stephanie. Following the death of both my parents in a car accident 5 years ago August my health has been in a steady decline. I suffer from neurological issues that will soon have me in a wheelchair, and advanced COPD that means I have to have Oxygen continuously. Yesterday I had to go the doctors in 85 degree heat without any air conditioning in my van. By the time I got to the medical center and tried to find this new doctors location I ended up collapsing twice between the walking and breathing. I weigh 83 pounds at 5'5" and I can't carry the oxygen with me when I have to exit the vehicle. Ultimately I ended up in the emergency room.

I live with my daughter and grandson of 6 years. My grandson was in the car when my parents were killed and suffered a major brain injury at 13 months. I'm happy to report though that after months of hospitalization he is right as rain and is mad at me currently ;o) because I'm on my computer which he adores playing with. My daughter suffers from PTSD since the accident my parents were killed in. She cannot drive without someone in the car and she was going to go with me yesterday but the heat was so bad that we were concerned about Gavin in the back in my black 1994 Ford Astro van. It was just way too hot for him and with her PTSD we HAVE to go through town to get anywhere or she will lose it so there would not have been any steady air flow.

It's been a long 5 years. My parents and I jointly owned a duplex. Their deaths were the beginning of the most miserable time of my life. When I divorced it was jointly decided that it would better if I lived in the upstairs apartment so they could be there for the kids while I worked. Over 16 years we became so close that their deaths nearly destroyed me. I paid for the last 15 years on the note of the house, my buy in and we all lived there incredibly content and happy. My parents were my best friends.

After their deaths during the mortgage meltdown, credit locks, and the economic fallout my career of 16 years was one of the first to go. I worked in the non-profit sector designing programming for inner-city communities with a specific focus on youth. So 8 months after their deaths the funding streams I used for the programming dried up and a job I loved disappeared.

Life insurance was enough to cover their debt with a little left over because they didn't carry much but in the end I lost my home of 16 years to the insurance company that covered my daughters son through work when they filed a $ 90,000.00 lien against my home. So 7 months after losing my job I also lost a home I loved. So I experienced 3 deaths within the span of a little over a year.

Because I was unemployed so long and had to use my cards to keep the lights on so to speak my credit is not good. So I can't borrow the funds or even charge a repair for the car.

I can no longer go to doctors visits alone. I'm too weak to walk very far without help and I can't carry the oxygen canister on my own. So I need my daughter for these visits.

Like anyone with severe health issues I'm buried in bills but what I really need help on is funds that will me to fix the air conditioning in my van which despite it's age runs like a champ. I have a physicians assistant who comes into my home to work with my but getting to the specialists has become real concern.

My daughter even with her PTSD has reached a point where she doesn't want me going alone. I was supposed to call her when I reached the doctors the other day when I collapsed the 2nd time and they took me to the specialists office I asked the receptionist to call my daughter. She didn't and she left my daughter terrified that something horrible had happened to me. I don't carry a cell I can't afford one. My daughter was getting better about both driving and me driving myself; because of this receptionist my daughter has now had a huge set back. I have to see that doctor again next week and I can't take them without air conditioning so what I'm going to have to do is make sure I find someone that sit with my daughter while I'm gone to help keep her anxiety level low. I don't have any choice I have to get there. I won't have anyone to carry my oxygen but I'm hoping I can in there.

Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. I am more than happy to pay it forward as soon as I can. I have been a lifelong contributor to various causes and I know people are in dire straights right now. We all need help in one form or another. I would never ask if I could do this myself. Please forgive me.

My fiancee and I have been trying to plan our wedding for two months. During these two months I have had my employer threaten to terminate me (as my future husband is from Turkey, and they assumed I was going to visit there), my brother=who is struggling with drug addiction- steal $2000.00 we had saved from us, and we found out that the 2 family home we live in that belongs to my mother is teetering on the edge of foreclosure. So every extra penny we have is going towards helping her since she lost most of her income when my father passed away unexpectedly from heart failure. All my fiancee and I want to do is get married very simply with my immediate family present as his family cannot afford to make the trip from Turkey. The past few months have been really difficult, due to my father passing away..I spent alot of money on parking at the hospital as well as gas driving to and from to visit him. The school is also refering her for Occupational therapy for her eyesite. Starting at age 6mth she has had two surgerys for exotropia. My name is Ryan. I am a married father of 2. They are 2 1/2 and 9 months old. The only income that we have coming into our household is mine. My wife does not work due to an injury to her foot. Plus with day care costs, her income would be paying for that. With in the last 3 months we have went through some rough changes to our life. About four months ago, I was demoted from the Store Manager of the wireless store I work for back to just a sales rep. The demotion cut my pay by $1,500..literally in half. Then 2 months ago, we were forced to move from the house we were renting b/c the landlord would not fix some issues with the place. The bathtub was painted and would chip and crack into the water every 3 months. It would take 12 hours to drain the water after a shower. It's not very sanitary for having little ones. Due to the move, it pushed out bills back even farther to where I'm scared about disconnections and repossession of our vehicles. My family and I are in great danger of losing hope altogether. We invested so much in order to make it but failed miserably. In this day and age when our businesses are being outsourced pretty much everywhere, we tried to do something good for us and for our country-we invested our hard earned money in American company and distributed their products. We did everything from marketing to selling. At one point we were required to physically be in the country where we distributed the goods. It was necessary to make things work. To make the long story short, the American company we distributed goods for decided that we need to take enormous amounts of goods per one order and that we need to pay them $5,000 for website or they'll make our contract void. That's what happened and in the process we ended up living on two continents struggling ever since. My mom and I are in this small country in Europe and my dad is struggling in America. Greetings. I am a 55 year old male who has worked his whole life since the age of 13 until January 31, 2009. On that day I was injured at work where I was a supervisor. The fall resulted in two shoulder surgeries over a period of 16 months. End result is that I can no longer do the work I have done my whole life. Worker's Comp ran out well over a year ago. I have some disabilities but not enough to qualify for SSI or SSID. I managed to get some funding to attend Computer Tech school, and have three certifications done and working on my forth. There is about six more months of schooling. With no income, I have been living off of my savings, but my savings is gone. I can not pay my simple bills, rent, electric, water and such. I have sold my car...and use the public transportation system to go to school and back. I am looking at becoming homeless with no way to continue my education as scheduled due to this inability. There is no local help for "cash"... I do get some food assistance, but that is it. No community resources are available for those who are attending school for help with bills. In the past, I have donated and contributed to many persons and causes as I used to make excellent money in the construction field, but now I find myself in the dire need of what I once gave freely with no thought of return. Greetings! My name is Justin. I am a 20 year old student, trying to chase his dreams as an actor. A while back, I was accepted to an amazing acting school. The only problem is...it's 5,000 dollars. I lost my job about two months ago and I am in need of help. I have a 16, 12 and three year old at home that I have to support. My rent is now two months overdue, cable and internet are about to be shut off, light bill due and there is very little food left. I live in the Bahamas and we don't have a food bank here. Dept of social services gave me a voucher for $80 worth of food for the month. I go out everyday looking for work and I haven't found anything yet. Please help me until I can get on my feet.
