I have been laid off since October of 2009. The only work I've been able to find is temporary work which may last 1 day or a few weeks. I've exhausted unemployment insurance. I've been applying to at least 15 jobs a day, 7 days a week. I call my network of recruiters every week looking for work but it's hit or miss. I was contracted to a 10 month position that was cut to 3 months. I showed up for work on a Monday and was told that morning that the work flow had slowed down and I wasn't needed anymore. I'm ineligible for a new unemployment claim because I haven't met the income threshold due to not having worked for 2 fiscal quarters prior to my claim which I would have if I wasn't screwed out of the contract position. I was already 2 months late on my rent which is $700, due to unemployment checks not being enough to cover the rent and utilities that come to about $300. I choose between eating or having electricity some months. The loss of this job has royally screwed me! I'm now facing being 3 months behind. I'm facing imminent eviction. I've got no where to store my stuff and no way to pay for storage. I'm waiting for the decision for an interview I had Friday but that's not written in stone that I'll get it. I'm just trying to hold on to me and my son's place to live. ANY thing anyone could donate would be greatly appreciated. I've tried applying to gov't agencies for help but they seem to want you on the street already before they offer any help!

Hello to anyone that can help us. My family and I will soon be homeless unless we can come up with the last $50 we need for rent. I've tried everything I can think of (including donating plasma, but didn't even get all the money I was promised). My absolute last resort i'm sad to say is to sell myself because my body is the last thing of value I have. I really can't stand the thought of doing this, even disreguarding the fact that it's illegal, I just don't want some nasty crackhead pawing all over me or knowing that my children would ever find out that I sunk that low. Can anyone please help us? We're running out of time and I don't know what to do. All the so called charity and gov't organizations have only kept me running in circles or turned me down. hi, we are both disable and just got into our 50's.and our health is pretty bad.my live in boyfriend of 25 yrs.is a dieabetic,and has to take 4 shots a day of insalin.he has had to 2 heart surgeries,his golbladder out, he has a bad lung,and a kidney problem ,aone with a whole bad arm, as in not to lift any thing,he has been like this for 4 yrs.and my problems i have had for 8 yrs.but mine is not like my boyfriends , life threatenig,he does get a hole 62.00 a month from food stamps. and he does now get ssi.but as we all know that it is hard for older people to servie on the amount the gov. gives.when 1 bag of potatoes, and gresse is 7.00.and that it get hard to work if you ars older, and in bad health.we have never even had a credit card of any kind our hole lives.we rent a hous for 600.00 plus bills and cant even take a shower because,it smells like rotten eggs, and the landlrd dont care, we dont have any money to try to fix it,even when we first moved in the wood stove chimmy cought on fire.so when my boyfriend got a ssi check, we brought new piping for 80.00 and the landlord said, well that will save on your light bill,hes not giving us any money back on that.and this is not the first fire we have been in and the landlords have paid us any thing. any ways i know so many people are so much worst off than me. i kno howit is when you cant buy your family member a gift or something.so,any amount from .25cent and up will help, because it will all add up,and GOD BLESS YOU AND BE WITH YOU ALWAYS.

My name is Julie. I am writing in hopes of finding some help for my current financial situation. I sincerely hope that this is real and that someone can offer some help soon. I really do need some help and I am searching for some alternatives. I have applied for gov’t. help but have not found any hope so far.

I am currently unemployed and not quite sure what to do about it. Although I am looking for work I am not finding what I need. I truly believe that if I could just find a way to make it till the end of Oct, I can make things work out and be back on my feet financially.

I never felt like I needed a glamorous lifestyle, but I do need to survive. My youngest daughter is still living with me and my granddaughter (Rebecca) recently moved in also. She is ten and needed to get out of a negative environment. I am trying to help them, but the situation is taking a toll on my ability to keep up and accomplish what needs to be done.

Rebecca’s mom, my oldest daughter, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP) at birth. Although she overcame many of the common symptoms of CP, her condition has deteriorated since she entered her twenties. Rebecca’s dad, we recently discovered, has long since suffered from severe mental illnesses. He was recently admitted to a psychiatric ward and later moved into long-term nursing care. Because of my daughters’ mental and physical handicaps she is not able to properly care for Rebecca by herself.

I was this family’s greatest advocate to keeping them together as a family unit and I hate that things have worked out the way they have. But I believe I am only beginning to understand the depth of the problems this way of life has had on Rebecca and how much she needs me.

She is a very smart 10 years old, but exhibits behaviors associated with mental disease. She has been labeled learning delayed and I am frustrated that her delay is caused by the learned behaviors of her parents and not because of her intelligence or ability to learn.

Although Rebecca is in a much better place now, I am struggling to make it financially. I have been working on some projects and am hopeful that with a bit more time, they will work out. Right now I am in danger of loosing our apartment and not having a place to live, as I have not been able to come up with all of the money for rent for September yet. I still need 425.00 for Sept rent, and 242.00 for the past due on the light bill. I have not given up and am continuing to find ways to make it all work out.

I figured up what I need to catch up the necessary bills and expenses through the end of October. I need to come up with $2,215 to make it to the end of October. I sincerely believe that I will be able to get things back on track by Nov, if there is any way I can find a way to catch up.

I feel that I should ask for what I need and be really grateful for any help that I receive. I have always tried to help others in their times of need and always encouraged the pay it forward process. I do hope that what goes around comes around for me this time.

my mom has recently became mentally ill and very depressed, she has been in and out of the ER and mental facilities. me and my sister have been struggling to get her house paid off she has worked very hard her whole life and I would be devastated if she lost her home considering she only has $2500 left on her loan. she has experienced a very sad childhood and thats probably why she has been having so many mental problems recently shes only 49 years old but yet she has lived a very painful life, when she was a young child she seen her mother take her own life, along with very abusive behavior from her mother towards her and brother, my mom would tell me horrible stories about her and her brother being toddler aged would have to hunt for food in the cabinets because there mother was to sick to fix them something to eat, so they would eat a bottle full of chewable vitamins because they were so hungry. there mother had epilepsy which caused very bad seizures, and I guess she just couldnt take the pain anymore so she ended her short life at 29, after this tragedy my mom and her brother where in and out of different foster homes. but that didnt discourage her from being the best mother to her children, and a wonderful independent women, she raised her children by herself without any help from anyone not even from the gov., she help everyone she possibly could she cleaned a sweet old ladys home once a week because she was sick with cancer, another older lady thats shes close too, she felt bad for one year because she told her she was upset because she couldnt afford to buy her grandbabies Christmas gifts that year, so my mom searched all the goodwills to gather toys for the lady’s grandbabies and surprised her with the toys that Christmas! My mom could do anything on her own before she got sick, she could work on her own vehicle, sew up clothes, drapes, anything, she’s an artist, there’s nothing she couldn’t do, Im just so distraught to see her like this she was always so strong but now I think all those bad moments in her life has caught up with her, please help me pay off her home.

I have never begged or "cyber begged" for a thing, but I don't know what else to do! I am a good person.. and promise to do what I can to pay back, or pay-it-forward any help I may receive. My disability is a result of my father having been showered with Agent Orange in Vietnam 3 years before I was born.. 2 of my 3 siblings also have neurological problems and the 3rd has a heart condition. (my father passed when I was 16 due to military related issues). I am working on getting veterans assistance, but having to move literally fell in my lap 2 days ago and I don't know what I will do. I cannot believe I'm doing this, but I'm faced with no other way. The past few years have been a mess. My husband and I have always saved and never spent on anything we could't afford or pay back. Everything is now gone including our good credit.
It all started when my husband was laid off in '08. I was trying to start my own business at the time, got it up and running, but the economy being so horrible I just couldn't get enough business to cover the bills. We were forced to cash our 401K which most of it went to the gov't in penalty taxes. I had already used some of it for my business but now we had to cash it all to pay bills. That didn't last long, then his unemployment ran out. I had to give up my business and find work again. My husband ended up taking a job making a small fraction of what he used to. We still cannot cover the bills even with both our checks. I'm trying to find something better but it's still taking a long time to get an interview.
We borrowed money from family already but cannot get anymore. We need about $10,000 to get a good boost. It won't solve everyting, but 8000 of it would be going to pay back a family member that we borrowed from and the other 2000 going to cover a back mortgage payment.

I dont know where to start my name is harry and i lived in florida form 1989 until 2005 i met my wife there and we have 4 kids 3 of them are till home 16,13,8 years old they were poiled for the longest time but after rebuilding from hurracanes three time we moved to missouri for 3 years and thats were the story starts to turn had to go from making 15 dollar an hour to makeing 7.50 an hour but i did it to keep the family going was a volentire fire fighter and a first responer and liked helping people but on 11-28-2006 i left for work and found a ice patch on the road that slid my truck into a ditch witch in turn broke my back and gave me a 8 day stay in the hospital and almost killed me but thank the lord im still here cant work but have got on ssi disablity after 2and half years and selling everything we had now we moved to michigan to be close to family and i bought a trailer on 10 acres for my family to run around on and have fun it was a land contract witch wa not to bad but when thing look good they can go bad fast no i found out that i can not get a loan to refinace it and will have to leave if i cant getit refinaned by september 2011 i have paid my mortage on time sence i bought it and now there is no way to get a bank to help or any other gov help out there so if anyone can help in any way i would be very greatful and want to ay thank you for you time

hi i bcame disalbed with MS 2 years ago i lost my left eye sight and some of my right eye .sense than i have had to let my car go back to the bank because they would not work with me on a payment plan and i have many med bills .in the last year i have went though our savings and had to resot to payday loan now when i recive my gheck each month i have about 200.00 left after all the payday loans come out.i have tried many other ways to stay above water but my wife works 40 hrs a week at 10.00 a hour and every state and gov ssay we make too much oney for help.i am about 5000.00 in debt if someone could help me with a loan i can pay off the payday loans and med bills i can repay a monthly payments 350.00to 400.00 back then i would beable to get all the meds the drs want me to take each month you can contact me at wljones04@yahoo.com any thing will help thank you very much and god bless you

My name is Ann. This is very hard for me to do. But there is no where else for us to turn. We have tapped out family and the gov. says we make too much money for any assistance. I have recently been diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis and cervical osteoarthritis. Luckily I am still able to work. But our medical bills keep piling up. We have old medical bills from surgeries my husband and I had to have. We have also just had our phone shut off because we cannot pay. And are barely able to afford food for two children ages 5 and 6. It hurts me to live like this because I do not know how to tell these small children , who do not understand, why they cannot have the things they need.My husband and I are both working but the money we make does not even come close to covering our expenses. I am trying to get back to school to get the skills for a better job but with no money that is hard to do. Any help anyone can send would be gratefully appreciated in our desperate time of need.
