young father needs a second chance

Posted by paytonsdaddy22 on 2012-02-20 23:58:43

I am a 29 yearold divorced father who is financial doom. i was married young, and divorced young. my wife was physically abusive for a long time but because of the way that the legal system works, she has custody of our 7 year old son. i was taking online classes while married, and when my wife and i split up after the last beating she gave me, she took the computer and i didnt get to finish school, because i was in a town where i knew nobody but my ex wife and her family and i didnt have a computer to do my work on. i am now $30,000 in debt because of the student loans that i took out and i have no way to pay them back and still pay my bills because i never got to finish. i had a 4.0 grade point average when i had to stop. after the divorce i moved back to my home town and and got a good factory job, soon after my wages started to be garnished because of the school loans. i was only bring home around $100 for a 50 hour work week. i couldnt afford to pay my bills and eat. and it wouldve taken 11 years of garnishment to erase my debt. i would file bankrupsy but i cant afford a lawyer. i am now waiting tables because they cant garnish the cash i make, but it barely enough to pay my bills, and my financial situation will never get fixed. my son is my best friend, he was 3 when we divorced and e is 7 now. he have maintained a close relationship in the years since the divorce and i would eventually like to have the finiancial ability to fight for custody to get him away from his abusive mother and give him the attention that he deserves. my hope and prayer is that someone who has the ability, kindness, and interest in my little life, will make a contribution to make ita little easier to live.

For years now i have been staring at medical bills that medicaid would not pay because at the time i was pregnant and they wouldnt cover me just things that pertained to the baby. I am already being garnished from my job for one of them. This week my 7 month old daughter got sick and was running a 102.3 fever. Took her to one hospital and they said ear infection. The next day her fever spiked to 104.3 and i took her to a different hospital. funny thing, no ear infection. she has an upper respitory infection. now, had the first hospital taken the time to take care of my daughter i wouldnt have to pay for 2 hospital bills, and everyone knows how expensive emergency room visits are. My husband and i both work full time, but these bills are breathing down are necks, and because of them we cant save up to buy a house, or even move to a bigger rental as we have 3 children in a 2 bedroom apartment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for listening. You can contact me at teastin20@gmail.com

I am a hardworking mother of 2 and have recently began losing the race with our economy. My childrens fathers do not contribute financially and so I carry the full load. I have a steady job but never get over 30 hours a week. Im currently $200 negative in my bank account, Im 2 months late on rent, my utilities are behind, my vehicle is now in need of 2 new tires before it can be driven, my wages are getting garnished for medical bills,my kids healthcare coverage has been terminated because the post office failed to forward important documents to me that were time sensitive and thats just the tip of the iceberg. I have $5 to my name, no food and no transportation to work for the upcoming week. If anyone has anything help to offer even $1 that can afford to donate, please consider this request. Im not asking for handouts while I sit around doing nothing, Im asking for help as a hardworking mother who just needs to get caught up and back on top again.

Just moved, need help catching up!!!!

I just moved into a new home with my girlfriend, our 4 month old daughter, and my two boys ages 7 and 10. The ten year old is autistic. In the week before I had to move, I had to pay for two car repairs, got 7 overdraft fees from Bank of America, and got my wages garnished for student loans. Before we moved, I had been paying all the bills for my girlfriend since she's had the baby, as we lived in 2 separate houses until this past friday. I still have to pay rent on my old house for a month and a half which amounts to $900. If someone agrees to help, I promise to donate that amount to someone else on this list within a year. Any help is appreciated.

Emergency Financial Help!

PLEASE EXCUSE MY INTERUPTION!!

My name is Ronald Alano. My wife Kathi and I are in A very bad way.

Please let me explain. My wife's unemployment ran out just as she needed a dead kidney removed. I was terminated from my 10 year professional job due to down sizing at the same time. I was her nurse up the time of her operation. She had to have her bag cleaned and changed daily. Her operation was put on hold till we could scrape up enough money to pay a month of Cobra to cover her surgery. This took 2 months. She has recovered wonderfully.

We have both been unable to obtain employment. We were evicted from our rental because we were unable to make rent for 8 months. We owe taxes, hospital bills, vehicle payments, utility payments. We have one vehicle that is on a title loan without even minimum insurance coverage. We are receiving food stamps. We have spent many hours in the pantry lines. We are currently staying with Kathi's son till we can get employment.

My wages are being garnished due to unpaid medical bills. I cannot even work a McDonald's because I would only make enough to cover gas. I am a hard working and dedicated person. I have spent many days and hours applying and sending resumes to a multitude of job prospects. I have only had 2 interviews that have not panned out. We are trying to get Kathi's drivers license, but can't even afford the 20.00 to pay for that.

It really hurts to have to tell our life's story to try and get any help. We have gone through all the channels for help. We have given to United Way all the time we were employed. They would only help with 250.00 towards rent, but we owe over 7,000.00 in rent. They only offered 150.00 towards utilities and we owe a couple of thousand on them. To chapter 8 housing is a waiting period of over a year and a half. We have no relatives who can help.

We just can't find a way to start digging out. We have recently found salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ. We attend a small Christian church where we attend Sunday services, Wednesday night services, and Tuesday night Bible study. We are just asking someone who is more fortunate than us for any help.

Need help paying legal fees to fend off IRS and state tax collectors.

Posted by cancergirl on 2011-09-26 01:58:27

Since I was diagnosed with breast cancer five years ago, I just haven't been able to keep all the balls in the air. One of the things that, unfortunately, fell by the wayside was that I didn't file my state and federal tax returns in a timely manner.

The government has garnished my income to the extent that I cannot even pay my bills, much less pay the legal feels to get the help I need. I was able to get started with a legal team and have learned that I don't owe any actual taxes, now that all the returns have been filed. However, the legal team is working to get $35,000 in penalties settled.

In order to pay the balance of the legal services, I need $700 a month for the next six months. If I cannot keep up the payments, they will not be able to continue to help me, and I will not be able to get the garnishments stopped.

Because of my health, it just isn't possible for me to take on any extra employment at this time. In fact, it would be better for me health-wise to work less, but I just can't do that right now.

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.

Medical Bills

Posted by KelliMinn on 2011-08-17 23:58:26

Hi,
I am a 25 year old female living in Corvallis OR. I work fulltime, but even that isnt enough to make it at times. I have a lot of medical issues and just recently had surgery. After years of pain, it was found that I have extreme endometriosis in my lower abdominal area and cervix. They also found a 5 cm cyst on my left ovarie that they removed since they thought it could be cancerous. Thank god at work, I recently came eligible for medical benefits, but this unfortunately does not help my past bills. They have finally caught up with me though, which is why I am writting this in the first place. I owe over 10,000 to samaritan. I had no idea I owed this much and now they are trying to garnish me. If I get garnished, there is no way I will be able to survive on just a 600$ paycheck. I am asking if there is anyway I can get some help to pay this bill down and make my payments a little easier. If you understand and have been in the same boat as me before, all i ask is just for a little help.

Please help I am desperate!!!!!!!

I am a single mother of one little boy. My baby's father has been in jail since I was two months pregnate, so I should be used to doing this on my own right? Wrong, I am living paycheck to paycheck, and for some reason everytime I take a step forward it seems I fall two steps back. I have debt from when I was younger and bill collecters call on a daily basis. I just don't want it to go as far as my wages being garnished. Bills are backed up and the situation has become very stressful. All I want to do is make a good life for my son and I to the best of my ability. In this day and age without money you can't get far, but if you have a job you receive no help. I just want to get my life on track. Please help me. Sincerly -Single Mother

With just 8 weeks until our wedding, my fiancée and I have hit extremely troubled times. She lost her job, and my wages have been garnished for medical bills that I've been unable to pay off. We are being forced to move and my two children from a previous relationship are now living with me. This is going to be expensive. I'm desperately trying to provide for my family, even going without food so that my kids can eat. I know we will get back on our feet eventually, but I asking for help for now. I am not proud for asking, but I'm willing to ask for my family. Please find it in your heart to help a me out so that we can get caught back up without becoming homeless.

Educated Single-Mother Who Can Hardly Afford to Work

Posted by sfgymnast76 on 2011-06-12 23:58:24

I am a motivated, single-mother who earned her Bachelor's degree when my son was a toddler, with the hope that I could provide a stable living for my family. Sadly, I have come to the realization that I would probably be better off not working, financially speaking, and relying on governmental assistance.

It's truly disheartening that I cannot survive on a single income alone, working full-time in advertising/marketing for our local newspaper. I thought I was doing everything right. Where did I go wrong? I left my son's father when he was an infant because he was unfaithful to me several times. It was not a conducive or healthy environment for me or my son. Since then, his father has been absent from his life for over 5 years. Not one phone call. Not one visit. No birthday presents. No cards. No money to help with expenses. Nothing. We can handle his absence because I have several positive male role models who have taken my son under their wings. He is a very well-grounded young man and has strong morals, values, and integrity.

With that said, I am the only financial support for him and I and pay all the bills, insurance, etc. and often have my wages garnished because I have had a difficult time paying for a couple ER visits (my son has asthma and was hospitalized with pneumonia) even with my insurance. I feel as if I can't get a break even though I try to do good.

My son is almost 9-yrs old and has been taking Suzuki violin lessons (paid for by a family friend) for the past year and a half. He is also my budding electrician/engineer...and creates incredible inventions with his circuit boards, wires, LEDs & motors that he digs out of old electronics. He attends the Robot Club at the local high school...and the older kids accept him even though he is their youngest member. =) He has an extremely bright future & I am so proud of him. However, it is a constant struggle everyday for me to put on a smile because we are so far in debt. I owe $2500 to the IRS for a supposed error on my 2009 tax return (disagree...but can't afford an attorney to fight it), $800 hospital bills, $3000 from other creditors from credit cards I had when I was 20 (I'm 35 now). I pay $300/month for daycare, household bills, car payment, etc. I am a good person & have a heart of gold. I want to remain a good role-model for my son so he is proud of me. I do not want to have to resort to relying on governmental assistance. I just wish we could survive on my income. It would be feasable if these bills were paid. Please help us. Any size donation would be an absolute blessing!! We need some financial assistance to get us back on our feet again. We're going through an extremely rough time & any gift would help. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Best Regards,

My basement is filling up with water, (it put out the water heater pilot light yesterday) and the water is rising at a dramatic rate. We've had the roto rooter guys out three times and they said last time that we would probably have to replace the pipes going from the house out to the main line... that's gonna run a couple thousand at least.
On top of all this the car needs new shocks, struts, brakes, and rotors... as well as needing insurance so we can get new plates in november.
The bills are also piling up...
We are very low income... weekly income averages only $180 a week after a garnishment for a car that was repossessed ten years ago, and we just got a letter saying that the check is getting garnished again for old student loans...
I don't know how we're going to pay all this... I need to find at least $5000 to do all this at the very least... so that's why I'm turning to here.
I'm begging, literally begging, if someone out there could please help me.
I don't have paypal... my address is Herbert Dustman, 1207 Francis Ave, Muskegon, MI, 49442.
I would greatly appreciate any help I can get... whether it be money, services, or just advice how to do all this....
Thank you.

         Here's my story.
In May of '08 my mother passed away. Then in January of '09 my oldest brother passed away unexpectedly.
We shared a home together, and when he passed away I had to use all of my savings to get out of one house and into another that I could afford to rent with my children.
Then on Mothers day of '09 I broke my collar bone doing what I love to do, riding my mountain bike with my dogs.
Over the course of the past year. Between all the doctor bills and then sugery.
I have been trying to pay all the house bills plus the doctors and the hospital. And having sugery can really add up when you don't have health insurance. And I'm falling further and further behind.
My wages are now being garnished, I'm close to loosing our home, and I'm still trying to keep going. I'm trying to look for a second job. But, because I work full time I am having trouble with that too. So I am asking for help to bring down my $30,000 debt. And any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story

My name is Anna I am married and have 7 wonderful kids. My husband is the only one working, he had 2 jobs, and he recently lost his second job, due to downsizing. We have been struggling for a while, we stopped paying credit cards, were behind on our mortgage and facing foreclosure, this week we just learned that my husband is getting his wages garnished.....that’s just great! Perfect timing! Almost half his check is gone! He brought home 489.00 for 2 weeks, to pay bills, fuel, and food, etc; we can’t even afford to go bankruptcy. My oldest daughter graduates from high school this Friday, 05/28/2010 we are flat broke, again we can’t even afford to throw her a little party or even take her out to dinner, while her friends are getting parties, and getting gifts like cars, and other stuff, I have nothing to give her. I wanted to buy her a laptop for college, didn’t happen. She leaves to college in August and she has not applied for housing because there is an application fee of 250.00 that I don’t have. I’m so worried it’s going to be too late, I don’t know what to do, I started getting really bad anxiety the last couple of weeks and I’m so stressed out, I can’t even concentrate on anything. I’m not asking for anything but only the housing application fee of 250.00. I can’t let her down. Please if anybody can help with anything, i will appreciate it so much. If you need proof of income to verify that I’m not lying, I can provide it if u don’t believe me, and I can prove that I have 7 kids, and I can prove that I’m facing foreclosure. I have a PayPal acct. My email address is ajoann23@juno.com [:-|][:-|]PLEASE HELP ME ANYBODY!!!!
