Garbage Tags

I'm a single mother and a full time college student with a part time job. I make roughly 240 dollars a week. This month I paid a rent bill, electric bill, water bill, car payment, auto insurance bill, Internet bill, and had to buy baby supplies along with the normal household necessities such as dish detergent, clothes detergent, soap, toothpaste, garbage bags, ect. No problem! I usually manage to pay all of my bills by the grace of something bigger than myself. I don't know how I'm doing it. I've been doing it for over a year now by myself. I do without a luxurious cell phone and television. I have to have Internet for school. Thank God for Google and Youtube. A girl deserves more entertainment other than deciphering her 9 month old's poop to determine whether or not its lime-greenish hue comes from the peas she ate 2 days ago, or if a fungus is among us.

The thing is.. I am hungry. I am not Ethiopian starving, but I'm hungry. My last meal consisted of a pack of chicken flavored ramen noodle soup and 3 saltine crackers. The 7 meals before that consisted of the same exact thing, except I was so lucky as to add a few broccoli florets to the soup broth. I have since ran out of broccoli and ramen. All I have left in my food pantry is canned baby food, and oatmeal. I am down to drinking tap water and falling asleep at night to the borborygmus sounds that my intestines sing to me out of pure hunger. I am so very blessed to be able to pay my bills and provide for my daughter while furthering my education so that some fine day we will both be living like Princesses. I have counted each and every one of my blessings. However, food isn't among these blessings of mine. All I'm asking is for someone to treat a girl to a hot nutritious meal.

I am no longer employed full time and went from a $65,000 a year job to zero. My husbands company was forced to file bankruptcy and his pay was cut from $2400.00 per month to $1760.00 per month.

Our daughter is a senior in high school and is currently not employed. We have one car paid off but are still paying $615.00 per month on the other vehicle. Most of our credit cards are paid off but the ones that are not have been sent to collections. We have a couple old personal loans that we are still paying on. We have several past due Payday loans outstanding and the fees continue to accrue until they are paid off. We have already borrowed from family members so that is no longer an option.

The money will be used to help pay our utilities, rent and food for the three of us and food for our dog and cat. The utilities consist of lights, heat, water, sewer, phone and mandatory city garbage pick-up.

Also, we currently do not have medical insurance so have not been able to have exams or see a doctor for unexpected injuries. Anything would be appreciated to help us get our lives back on track again. Thank you for reading this. Have a good day.

We are a small group of humanitarians based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia trying to make a difference in the lives of these poor orphaned street kids. On a daily basis they are constantly sifting through garbage to find their next meal in order to survive the harsh reality of living alone.

Many of these children end up in prostitution just to be able to survive.

Hi, and thank you for reading my plea :)

Last year I was declared permanently disabled by my doctor. ( I was on short term disability before that at work but they cut me off at 4 months instead of the year my seniority had earned). This sudden cutoff started my financial downfall into a spin. My job didn't "fire" me or "let me go", they just kept me active (out for medical issues), until I was no longer able to qualify for unemployment. If I had quit, then I would not have received any medical benefits any longer! In the mean time, I started the Social Security process, (which also does not allow unemployment claims) well. it takes 2 years to even see a judge, but somehow I am supposed to survive with no income until then! Ahhh but you are not allowed to work because then the judge feels you shouldn't be filing....( I mean, I am willing to lick stamps or something!) but strangely enough - I would be allowed (if doctor permitted something) AFTER I am approved, up to a certain amount of money. Whacked, right? So, here I am. I am supposed to see the doctor at least once a month for court purposes, but they don't really say how you are supposed to be able to afford to see him, if you can't have any income! My family has been so awesome helping me the best they can, but my parents are in a fixed income and elderly...my sisters have full families and their own struggles. I am so frustrated, I am not used to feeling like I can't take care of myself! I am sure you realize what kind of financial things I need help with..basic living. I am allowed to have food stamps - so thank goodness for that. I need assistance please with things like electricity, water, garbage, doctor, medication and gas for my car occasionally to get to the Dr...I do not have TV (about 1 1/2 years now) as it is a luxury, my parents offered to pay for my internet connection, which I am extremely grateful for...this is how I am able to post to all of you. I feel so weird posting this, and yes it is a bit humiliating. But I cannot stand to see my family go down the tubes because of what happened to me! Please consider helping me in anyway that you can. I have always helped others my entire life and I promise i will continue to do so as I can, can't help it - it is in my bones! LOL

I have been thru so juch these last few months I have a beatiful 2 year old daughter my husband had a affair on me and put me and my daughter out on the street. I am 26 and am willing to work I need a home for us so i can start my life over im very scared and lonely i just need a little help to get on my feet i will pay it forward as soon as i am able please help me and my baby get a home we have nothing but some clothes ive been searching endlessy looking for work i am a college graduate and i have good qualifications i just need a place to call home i have no furniture or even a bed for my little girl to sleep in i can even come up with a little of the money i will need to get into a place its just so hard to come up with deposits and rent all at once please please pray for us i just want to take good care of my baby im a good girl i dont smoke cigs or drink i had a good job and a nice home and he took it all from us its like we was a bag of garbage he just thru out.Any thing will help us thank you and GOD bless

You probably won't believe me...why should you be any different, but what I am posting is the truth. I am being harrassed by the Secret Service (FBI or CIA). They have made it impossible for me to work; they use machines on me to constantly cause me pain. I know, now you are saying, this is a crazy person, but that's not true. There are things going on in this country that you are not aware of and this is just one example. I am unable to work and pay the debt I have accumulated. The worst part of the pain is that no one believes me and so I am isolated and completely alone in this. Please help me. I need money to pay for my debts. If you don't, I hope this makes just a dent in your consciousness: there are people who the government abuses and consigns to the garbage pile. It is a hell of a life and I wouldn't wish it on a bug. I am taking donations for monetary help for a shelter I run for homeless animals. Any help you can give it would be well received. Just as the title says, I've lost everything. My job, my home, my vehicle, all I have left is a garbage bag full of clothes that get washed every two weeks.

Ive done everything in my power to keep myself fed, but it's not nearly enough. Companies will not hire me, as I'm young and inexperienced. My closest family members live 1200 miles away, and will barely acknowledge my existence. All I want is to get back on my feet and make something of myself, rather than sitting around feeling sorry for myself.

Please, please help me and my family. My husband is a teacher and his check is eatten up with furlough days. I have looked everywhere for a job (McDonalds.Dairy Queen, Merry Maids). And I can't find anything in my field at all. Im not picky I would clean someone's house, pick up garbage, clean offices, walk dogs, pick up dog poop.....anything, if I could just get a paycheck first. We have had our car break down and I had to use the last weeks grocery money to get a new battery. Please I have 3 kids and I have to feed them. I don't know what my husband would do if he realizes I'm on Here or that I blew it. Please if I could just get a total 150. I know I'm asking a lot but I have asked my kids to sacrifice so much already. And I can't go to my parents because they disowned me 18 years ago. I promise I will come back and repAy to others if I could get help this one time. I am truly desperate. and I am afraid that desperation is turning into depression. Again, Im truly begging. And I know you don't know me but when I promise to come back on here to help others, I will keep my word.

First of all, let me say that Im sure there are thousands of posts like mine. some are true, and others are not. This is my story.
I have always been a hard worker, with a good work ethic who is at work everyday and always on time and ready to work. I started work in the asbestos abatement field back in 2001, and life was good. we were finally able to afford to buy a home. the house cost 75,000 and was big enough for us to raise our 4 boys. then in 2009, the company i worked for went out of business, and did not give fore notice to any employee. I then collected unemployment benefits for the last 2 years. durning that time, i searched for suitable employment but to no avail. My UE benefits ended at the end of Jan 2011 which allowed us to pay the bills for Feb, then in March we had just enough money left to make the March house payment, but not enough to pay the other bills. since then, our Cable TV & gas have been disconnected, and we now have shut-off notices for phone / internet and garbage pick-up. Our only source of income is my wifes S.S.D.I in the amount of 525.00 per month. Back when we bought the house, we could not get conventional financing, but was able to find a private lender(at 10%) to finance the home. our mortgage payment is $730.00 dollars a month. if you do the math, you see that were on our way to being homeless. since im unemployed, and we purchased the home through a private lender we can not get refinanced. I have searched everywhere for some kind of help but none is available to us. so this is our last hope. First and foremost, i need a good paying job that will allow us to keep our home so if you have one that would be the best option to help us. If not, maybe someone could buy our home from the private lender, and let us pay what we can afford per month (low interest or no interest). We are good people, who have helped others when we were doing good ourselves and always give to our church and community when we can. We aren't looking for a hand out, and i willing to work hard to repay any kindness shown us. Since i can not find a job, i have created a webpage at http://funds.gofundme.com/3h1o4 to try to raise money to start a non profit business to benefit poor families with children that are in need of computers for use in school work and research. Hello, thank you for looking through beglist as a place to give, I just discovered beglist, it is nice to be able to choose the type of situation to which you would like to donate.
My husband and I both lost our jobs at the end of November 2010. The store where he was a computer technician went out of business, and I was wrongfully terminated, and am the middle of appealing my case. Just before Christmas and two at once, the timing is terrible.
We have both applied and been approved for unemployment but it does not look like that will get us by.
Since beglist recommends keeping it simple, honest, and to the point, here is a list of our needs:
*Money to pay for health insurance, $200.00 a month (I have health issues and without insurance my medications are approx. $1500 a month) Co-pays are $30 and I see three different doctors regularly. I would like him to have health insurance also, but guess we can put it off since he does not have any pre-existing conditions.
* Rent $675.00 a month
* Electric $114.00 a month (we never turned on our gas heat so we are just using a couple of space heaters right now.
* Dog and cat food (1 dog 1 cat) $70.00 every 3 months
* Garbage pickup $65 every 3 months
* Chase credit card bill $200.00 a month
* Citi credit card bill $200.00 a month
* H.H. Gregg (GE Money bank) credit card bill $60.00 a month
* The kids are due for a Veterinary visit and vaccinations I am not sure how much that will be (1 dog 1 cat)
* Student loans (Sallie Mae) $145.00 a month
* Dish Network (we cut our bill down by half already but cannot get out of the contract without a huge fee) $42.00 a month
* Internet (Time Warner Cable) (we don't get cable T.V. just internet) $50.00 a month
* Verizon wireless cell phone bill $140.00
* We have well water so no water bill
***In short, our bills total approximately $1871.00 a month, yikes! We are getting unemployment, which adds up to about $1540.00 a month. I did not list food or gasoline or auto maintenance in our bills. As you can see, things are very tight.

I need to help my husband with income, so I have recently decided to open my home to families in need of childcare. I have already completed all the licensing requirements (CPR, First Aid, background check, etc.) but so far have only one child enrolled in my care and only part time. We have always managed to stay on top of our finances, but have had a few things come up lately and my husband is working all the overtime that is available to him. He is a garbage man and as winter approaches, so does the end of yard waste season so he is killing himself to get as much work as he can before winter. It breaks my heart to see him working so hard everyday, and I want to give him some relief. If I could even pay one months rent for him, I would feel blessed. Please help me help him.
