Need Money To Prevent Eviction

Posted by HelpACS on 2012-05-20 23:58:53

I really need help, I couldn't sleep tonight. I actually googled , "I am about to get evicted and I need help paying rent" and this website came up so here I am. If this site really works and there is anyone out there willing or able to help I sincerely need you now! My rent including late fee is $725 and as of today I m 21 days late and only have $80. The reason for this is that I work part time and get paid every 2 weeks. While my pay is usually enough to cover this, I did fracture my toe and sprain my ankle 2 weeks ago causing me to miss a week from work. I'm also a freelance designer so I can work from home but I have not received any new projects so no money coming in there.
I am willing to trade services/work for whatever I can get, I design logos, websites and more, you can see my portfolio at raisincanearts.com that way I will be earning instead of begging.... really need help please someone, anyone this is not a scam, I need money any amount helps as long as it brings me closer to that $725 but that is my end goal. I don't have any friends or family that can help me so this is really my last resort. If you need any graphic design in exchange for donation my email is canr.raisincanearts@yahoo.com. Thank you

Need money to pay bank

Posted by writeandknow on 2012-05-10 18:58:36

I'm a college student whose only income is from freelance writing (independent content writing). I currently owe approx $79 to pay the bank. They will not let me set up a payment plan. I am trying to write to earn this money but am struggling to do so. Even $1 can make a HUGE difference.

Victim of Rick Perry

Posted by wittynamehere99 on 2012-04-26 18:58:34

I was one of the few employees laid off in a state that somehow survived the recession largely intact, but my position didn't thanks to a governor who rejected parts of the stimulus package. After a struggle for searching for work at home, I set out, with the meager earnings I was able to produce through freelance writing, at a whopping two cents a word, camping along the way, to apply to every open position I could find across this country. 23 months later, I'm still searching. I'm not bilingual, and I don't have a degree. What I do have is experience, an amazing way to deal with people face to face and a ridiculous work ethic, but apparently those aren't the traits looked for in this job market, merely the person who was committed enough to spend four years on a campus.

The math, well, that and the awesome algorithms behind gmail tell me I've applied to 3,150 jobs in over a dozen states. Maybe a hundred interviews from the whole lot. And according to the IRS paperwork I sent in recently, my income last year was a far cry from the most recent classification of the poverty line.

Anything helps, and would be forever appreciated.

One of these days an application will lead to an interview which will lead to an offer, but until then, what? All I can do is keep plugging away. Sleeping in my car when I can't afford a cheap motel room. Waking up to an aggravated foot and hip thanks to my injuries in a life I feel so far removed from it doesn't even feel like it was real anymore.

And I guess, come across this site from the random google search of a desperate person, trying to find some help in a world that seems to have rejected her.

The more I write, the more I keep hearing that little voice on my head saying "Quit your bitching, there are those who have it far worse.", so I'll stop now. Again, any type of help is beyond appreciated. Thank you for reading this far.

PLEASE HELP ME... I only have a few days left

Posted by ZazooNeedsYourHelp on 2012-04-26 13:58:36

I'm a freelance legal assistant who has hit a rough patch. My hours are down, some of my client's checks have bounced and I have been served with an eviction notice.

Since the eviction notice, I have been able to stay current and even pay off a little of the back rent. But for the last two months, I haven't been able to pay anything towards the back rent. I got a letter from the property manager giving me to the end of the month to pay off the back rent OR ELSE.

I have nowhere to go. I will be unable to work. I don't even have a car right now so I have no idea how I will pack up and move out. I am going to lose everything.

PLEASE PLEASE someone PLEASE give me something - if a few people kicked in what they could spare, I might be able to mollify the property manager.

If anyone needs confirmation of the debt, please email me. I can provide contact info for my property manager.

Many thanks for reading my plea for help. Peace & Joy, Zazoo

Please help my best friend be matron at my already-saddened wedding

Posted by PurpleGirl8 on 2012-04-22 19:58:35

All the financial means that would've let my best friend/spirit sister be matron of honor at my wedding have fallen thru, in true Murphy's Law fashion. This is one of MANY snafus all draining joy from my wedding, the worst being my dad passing away. I'd forgo all the gifts on my registry if it meant my best friend could fly here for my wedding! Need An iMac To Start My Career

Posted by amieb05 on 2012-03-15 15:58:34

This is highly embarassing for me to "cyber beg." Begging seems like such an awful word, but here I am asking for donations of anything! I don't care if it's 0.25 cents or $1. Anything helps.

I'm a struggling graphic designer in need of a new desktop Machintosh. I'm aiming to raise $1300 to buy a new iMac computer so that I can start designing to complete my portfolio and start applying for work. My last computer failed on me during finals in school. Thanks to my school's computer lab, I was able to finish my work and graduate. That was back in NYC. I couldn't afford living there on my own and had to come to a smaller town to live with parents. I worked minimum wage retail to gain some money, but the physical stress forced me to stop working due to muscle weakness problem I have. A medical affliction caused by a tumor that has been affecting my energy and skeletal/muscle strength for about 7 years. It was hard getting through school with my condition. It was twice as hard having to work on my feet for hours in a retail environment.

Double my misfortune, I live in a place where jobs are hard to come by. A small town which has a lot of developing to do and jobs are far between. I need a car to travel to the nearest grocery store and can't depend on parents to transport me everywhere. This is why a job is so imperative. I'd like to feel fulfilled knowing I'm doing something for my future and earning money to buy my needs. I wish I had the equipment to start looking for work.

I want an iMac more than anything in the world. If I had my iMac, I could update my portfolio, do some online freelance work and help my parents with some bills. I could start applying for jobs from home and not have to rely on my neighbor's iPad to browse the internet. Whenever my family goes to the mall in the weekends, I pass by our local Apple store and I see people walking out of the store with large boxes containing their brand new iMac's, Macbook Pro's or expensive iPad's...and I get angry.

Yes, I know it sounds terrible and I know not everyone buying a computer is a rich business mogul or an overpampered kid whose parents can buy them whatever they want, and they never have to worry about whether they could afford it or not. But it hurts me to know I'm in such a position, that although I am an adult who should be paying her parent's bills, I can't even help myself because I'm unemployed. No thanks to my stupid weak body that can't take a lot of physical strain, no thanks to ending up in a town where I can't get anywhere without having to walk at least two miles, no thanks to not having my computer...

My name is not Amelia. That is just a screen name because I am too embarassed to reveal my real name. I'd be so grateful to anyone that can help me reach my $1300 goal. I know Mac's are expensive, but they are the industry standard in what I do. I would like a desktop because they are durable and longer lasting. They can also take a lot processing power for the heavy graphic work I do. If you can find it in your time to spare any change .25 cents, $1, $5, I'll be grateful 'till eternity.

Anyone who donates, be kind to leave an email so that I can send you something in return for your favor.

Thank you and God bless,

Ex-Student Needs Help!

Posted by StudentX925 on 2012-03-11 22:58:49

I'm an ex-professional student in need of desperate financial help. A recent December graduate, I am currently looking for work and have done an excellent job managing my saved money since losing my job in October. Thinking I would have a job by now, I have been working small freelance jobs but it isn't cutting it. I am now out of money and have credit card, student loans, bills, and rent to pay. I also need to feed myself and be able to have enough money to pay for expenses in my job search. I saw asking for help as a sign of weakness, but came to the realization that I need help to raise some money in order to stay alive until I find that dream job. Please, I ask for your donations so that I can get back on my feet and stop having to stress about how I am going to pay my rent, when I need to be tying down a job in my competitive field. I thank you for your time, and I am forever grateful for your help. God Bless.

Please help!! Would like to fly to Pennsylvania to visit family! I'm a freelance website designer who has been having a hard time this past year because of the economy. I normally generate enough work via referralls, but very few people are willing to open a new business and current business owners are very afraid to spend any money on marketing or website upgrades. I'm not looking for a handout, but rather new customers. My work is professional and projects are always finished on time. My price ranges from $250-$800 for a new professional website. Thank you!!

Please Help Me Make My Rent

Posted by ZazooNeedsYourHelp on 2012-02-09 14:58:26

I'm a freelance legal assistant who has hit a rough patch this winter. My hours are down, some of my client's checks have bounced and I have been served with an eviction notice.

I am a single parent with a 15 year old. Last month I was able to cobble together enough money for the property manager to give me another month's grace period.

I am trying to get $2,000 by the end of the month. I already have $600 but need help with the balance $1,400.

I don't expect anyone to hand over that sum of money but maybe enough folks have $10 or $20 to spare, I can get another extension from my property manager.

If anyone needs confirmation of the debt, please email me. I can provide details upon request.

Many thanks for reading my plea for help. Peace & Joy, Zazoo

Getting back into work after serious illness

Posted by CarySerendipity on 2012-01-24 07:58:27

My name is Kacey and 2011 proved to be a bad year for me. I am a Freelance Media Consultant and was quite happy with what I was doing and achieved. Unfortunately due to severe stress (brought on by serious family situations and illness) I suffered a stroke the beginning of that year. I consider myself lucky because paralysis was only temporary and I'm back up and about walking around. I was only 44 years old when this happened and now registered with the hospital for the rest of my life. They even carried out a brain scan to make sure I didn't have a brain tumour. I was given the all clear with that. On top of that I also suffered a bout of colitis soon after. I've lived with the disease for ten years and manage it extremely well, I live with it and lead as happy and healthy life as I can. BUT it was the stroke that turned my life upside down and it has taken a while to get my head around it. I had no support from family but I thank goodness for close friends who have helped me through this health issue.

I now want to get back to my freelance work and during 2011 I continued helping out with a local community newspaper writing articles and taking photographs when I could. It was then I discovered that my hand writing had been affected by the stroke, but I'm getting there and my hand writing is getting better! I also found the quality of my photographs were also affected and not as good as before I had the stroke, they are not as clear and concise as they could be with a little digital camera I have. It has no anti shake. And yet my earlier photos are now attracting interest and people are now asking if I can be booked for taking photos for them. I'd love to do it and I'm just pleased that the community newspaper that I volunteer for have been supportive throughout. HOWEVER if I am going to add to my work experience and concentrate on my photography and writing I need to invest in some new photography equipment and a laptop to move onto new career challenges.

Effectively, after a year out I am starting out from the beginning again with being a Media Consultant and asking for help to achieve this. I have never asked for help before with my work, so hope that whoever is out there reading this can help towards achieving the camera equipment and laptop I need to progress into my photography sphere. I also plan to study at college a part-time photography course from September 2012. It'll last 3 years but it will be worth it and a qualification at the end of it. Just because I had a stroke does not mean the end. It just means adapting and getting the best out of life that I can. Anything is possible so don't write me off just yet!

Thank you for reading this true life whoever you may be.

However, my guitar amp just decided to fry. I am looking for donations totalling $500 to buy a new amp so I can continue making music and work with my bandmates towards our dream of being full time musicians. This is my livelihood right now. I need this to continue making music. Check out our music at reverbnation.com/creeplist

Christmas Help Needed

Posted by deanac24 on 2011-12-22 23:58:31

I am at the end of my rope and dont know where else to turn. Christmas is in a few days and I dont have anything for my kids, not even Christmas dinner. I do not have a full time job but I thought I could do some freelance work here and there. But I barely made $20. My kids are ages 19 and 11. I know Christmas isnt about gifts but I was hoping to at least get each of them a little something. I also tried signing up for a food basket but I missed the deadline. I do not like to ask for help but now I am desperate. I do not what to give you in return for helping me but if you need anything I would help in a second. Thank you for your time!

Save a Home for Christmas

Posted by Mimzy on 2011-12-14 15:58:14

I'm trying to get up donations, any amount to help out a friend that is losing her home after Christmas. I've contacted a few places to help, I've put up a webpage on my site and I've hit the social network sites as well as online friends to help.

She needs $5k to stop the bank from foreclosing. She's a good person & I don't want her family to be homeless after the Holidays. I have to do all I can to help her, I just can't give up and do nothing.
The page I made is at www.viviti.me/starrweaver/donation.html - if you want to know more go there. She doesn't have a Paypal account, so I'm collecting all the money for her. Also try not to use donation buttons, Paypal charges a fee for donations. Use send money and gift instead, then it won't take out the fees.

Also if you have a business, you can give gifts up to $20 for the Holidays and write it off on your taxes. Also for those trying to find work, if you can't get a job, create a business. Employ yourself, it isn't difficult & making an online business is less costly. Think about it and take a good look at what hobbies, skills & talents you have. Invest in yourself, check out some sites for freelance work or even fiverr.com to see what others are doing for $5.

Think of metal scrapping, recycle & get paid at scrap yards. Dead batteries can be taken in for money too. Think out of the box - brainstorm and come up with something you can do. It's better than nothing...right?

If you go to my aidpage.com site I've listed a bunch of resources. There are others that can help give more resources too. It's a supportive and helpful site to find information.

Please help if you can, She doesn't have much time left. Any amount would be a big help.

Trying to relocate to San Francisco

Posted by introversal on 2011-12-12 06:58:35

Please help me get my freelance design career off the ground in the design capital of the West Coast. I have 4 years experience in DC, and I'm hoping to parlay that into a brighter future on the West Coast. I lost my job in October, but there are plenty of opportunities in San Francisco. Please help me be a part of it.

Thanks for reading.

Freelance designer trying to relocate to San Francisco

Posted by introversal on 2011-12-12 06:58:32

For career purposes, I've decided that I need to go to the West Coast. Please help me get there. I need $150 for a one-way plane ticket, and $3000 for three months of living expenses to get me off the ground while I'm job searching. I also have a fledgling freelance business that can help, but I am living on credit at the moment and don't want to reach my maximum.

I work in graphic and software design, and I've found that the opportunities in San Francisco are more challenging and more varied than the work available in DC, and this challenge is what I would thrive on. If you are in San Francisco and know of anyone who can provide work to a graphic/software designer like me, please get in touch with me at introversal@aol.com.

Thanks for helping make my dream a reality.

New equipment/office space for freelancer starting out

Posted by introversal on 2011-12-12 06:58:28

Hi,

I'm a freelance graphic/software designer who already has a paying client with a startup also interested in my services, but I'm having trouble performing at my best because I do not have the money for a dedicated work area. There is a coworking office near my apartment that offers space for $350/month, but to work at full capacity I'd really like to buy the equipment I need for a home office, which runs between $3 and $5k. (At a minimum having a larger monitor and a desk would let me do some of the basic design work I need to do: that's $500-1k.)

Please get in touch with me at introversal@aol.com if you are interested in helping me start my fledgling freelance business with any contribution. I would be happy to pay back once I have a steady revenue stream going.

Thanks!

A little would go a LOOONG way

Posted by elliesmama on 2011-10-10 10:58:45

Hi everyone. I am a 35 year-old single mother of a 14-month-old baby girl and she is the light of my life. When I found out I was pregnant my boyfriend left me and has been in hiding ever since. Child support has not happened yet, as they are STILL trying to verify his wages. They say he is collecting unemployment now.

I work, doing a couple of different freelance jobs, but lately work has been very slow. I couldn't pay rent October first and am being evicted. My landlord is being very strict, and trying to make an example out of me because they are trying to get a modification for the loan on the building to keep it out of foreclosure. My car is $260 away from being completely paid off and the collectors call every day.

I start a new, steady job on Nov. 1 but until I start getting paid I'm barely scraping by. I get $300 a month in food stamps temporarily but no cash aid because they say my $500 a month in unemployment benefits disqualifies me. How they figure that much is enough for a mother and child in Los Angeles is beyond me. I have no one to borrow money from, and no where to go when they force me to leave. All of my family is on the east coast and they are all broke too. I'm not even a month past due with my rent, and if I have the money by the time I go to court (whenever that is) the judge will probably let me pay it and keep the eviction off my record.

So I owe them $1495. If I could pay it, I would be able to put in my 30 days' notice and actually get my security deposit back after I leave.

Maybe you have this extra money to help someone in need, or maybe you have an apartment you could rent out to us when we do leave. I would feel very depressed and unsafe living in Section 8 housing.

I'm trying so hard. If you can help at all it would be an answer to my prayers. You can meet us and see that our situation is true if you would like also. And maybe I can pay you back and/or offer services like babysitting, tutoring, balloon twisting, face painting, etc. We can talk more on the phone.

Thank you for at least reading this and sending positive thoughts my way...

Help us get water and power turned on!!

Posted by clamp90 on 2011-09-04 02:58:56

This is an urgent cry for help. My family recently moved into a new home on the 31st. When trying to get the electricity transferred to the new house we were informed that our equal payment plan had been exceeded and we needed to pay a $250 deposit plus pay off our balance of ~$475. The first months rent and deposit has tapped us out and it is impossible to get these things turned on. My husband recently got laid off and is on unemployment while looking for a job; I am a freelance writer and am having a hard time finding enough jobs to save enough to get power and water on plus pay this months rent and the other half of the deposit. Our three children are staying with relatives until we can get our house into working order and we really want them back at home with us. If anybody could help I could write anything you might need written or even pay you back over the course of time. I really need some help getting this together; once we can get these bills taken care of we will be back on track. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Custody Battle Destroyed Me

Posted by householdsix on 2011-08-24 18:58:29

Up until 2010, my children had been living with my husband (their step-father, who is active duty military) and me.

As part of my divorce decree, my ex-husband had given me permission to move out-of-state with the children. I managed inter-state visitations flawlessly because I knew how important it was for my kids to spend as much time with their father as possible. However, when the Army re-assigned us to a NEW duty station, my ex-husband "changed his mind" and took me to court for custody of our children, ages 10 and 12.

I was terrified at the idea of losing my children, but my attorney assured me that there was absolutely no cause; I am a good mother and my husband and I are both fully engaged, involved, loving parents.

Boy, was my attorney wrong. The family court decided to award my ex-husband custody despite the fact that I am a wonderful parent (and stay-at-home mom) to my kids - based on the fact that we are a military family. There was never a custody or home evaluation done; the ruling was simply based on this particular Family Court's bias against the military.

In the end, my ex-husband destroyed me in every way possible; emotionally and financially. Life has been extremely difficult without my children .. and I have about $8000.00 in debt from attorney/court fees. I have been babysitting and working as a freelance web designer for extra money, but it is slow-going and this debt seems impossible to pay off, so I am here asking for help. Even small donations add up. Thank you for taking the time to consider assisting me.

Dumped by hubby

Hello there. I need your kind help of $1 (I live in a 3rd world country where the value of the dollar is high) for me to accumulate, and then pay for my kids' education. My hubby left me for a much younger woman and my freelance job cannot sustain my three kids' studies. I haven't been employed continuously while my hubby and I were still together because he said he would take care of me and the kids financially. For over a year now, since he left, I have been applying to different employers left and right, but still no stable job yet. Thank you very much :)
