Four years ago our house was paid for. The only debt that we had was $13,000 for a camping trailer.

17 years ago I worked for a Fortune 500 company. I got sick at work due to chemicals and they fired me. My doctor said that I can only work from home. I can’t find a company that will allow me to do that. My husband had a good job as a union truck driver but the company closed his terminal so he also lost his job.

Before my husband lost his job the FMCSA made him get an exemption to drive. He was off from work for 9 months. Then he had to have 2 hips replaced and was off again for 3 months. During that time we had some major expenses like a new well and furnace. Two weeks after my husband lost his job our home was flooded and our insurance didn‘t cover anything. I also lost my car that was 11 years old. I now drive one that’s 15 years old and my husband drives one that’s 12 years old. My husband did get another job 3 weeks after he lost his but he makes 1/3 of what he did.

During the time that he was off from work and since he lost his good job we wanted to keep our bills paid and our credit good. We were forced to use our home equity loan. Now we are almost at the limit of $100,000. With the housing market falling our house is now worth about half of what it was. We owe way more than what it is worth. I’m am afraid that we are going to lose our house. This has caused marriage problems between my husband and I. I am depressed and anxious most of the time.

My prescriptions alone are $1260 a month. The year before last my husband made less than $28,000. This year he did make over $30,000. We make just enough that we are not in poverty. So, we do not qualify for any assistance. What kind of help is available for the poor working middle class that is trying to keep their bills paid?

Hi, My boiler has broken and been disconnected by the gas engineer. My husband and i both work, and because we earn just over the limit we cannot claim any grants to help with the cost of replacing the boiler. If i was a single parent or on benefits we would be able to.
We have a four year old son. The small amount of savings we had, had to be used when my husband was made redundant last year. As the weather has just turned so cold and we only have 2 electic heaters, which cost a fortune to run, if anyone is able to help we would be very grateful.

I'm a 32 year old single mother, I live with my 7 year old daughter and I have never asked for anything before.

I've always earned my own money and have worked continuously since I got my first paper round at 13 until a few years ago when I lost my job due to ill health. At the time I was still living with my partner and we both had well paid jobs. We had a house with a mortgage and had taken out a secured loan against the property to do some much needed work on the house. Then the recession hit. The value of our house dropped by over £70,000 and because I had lost my job, we started struggling to make payments on the house and our credit cards and before we knew it our house was repossessed. It sold for much less than it was worth and we still owed the bank an absolute fortune.

I went to the local Citizens Advice Bureau who told me that I would be much better off if I was single! They said the government would pay for my house and give me other benefits but if I was still with my partner I wouldn't get a penny!

After much discussion we decided it would be best for my daughter and I to move into a place on our own and my partner would stay with family (just until we got back on our feet). Unfortunately we never did get back on our feet. My partner is still staying with family and we are still living in our small rented flat.

All I want is for my family to be back together under one roof. My daughter should never have to be without her dad because of finances and I want the man I love back. So if you can spare anything to help us out we will be forever in your debt!

I don't think having fun spending money I don't have is good. How can I? I'm unemployed. I'm a single college educated mother of two that can't get a job. I am either overqualified, not enough experience in my field, What I want is not a donation, not fun, I want good fortune in getting a job, but what is the fun in that if none are coming my way? There is a 10.3% increase in the unemployment rate in my county right now. Why? They would rather hire high school kids that don't care about job stability, insurance, hours, etc, because they want to have their fun! My kids hate me because all the fun I do for them is either take them to the park, or we watch free movies online. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids and a new baby, my husband works out of town in a different state for 4-5 days a week and it is costing us a fortune in gas right now for him to drive back and forth, he has to stay in hotels during the week because we cant afford to pay a security deposit on another apartment. We already lost our house due to the so-called "Government mortgage recovery plan", which is really a giant scam. Don't fall for it, they wont help you!
Usually my husband has to use most of the money leftover every month to pay to go to work, and the kids and I are barely scraping by. I just had a baby, I can't go to work we are always on the verge of getting the utilities shut off,we have pawned and sold everything you can think of. we are not irresponsible and we live very frugally, no cable tv, no credit cards, no fancy vacations etc. We just need some way to get ahead. This is a rather strange incident that happened not too long ago. I had just completed some training and certification for employment, and I took my wife out to celebrate the accomplishment. We decided to go to Panda Express for dinner. After we ate, I opened my fortune cookie, and it simply stated: "Your luck will change.". I thought to myself, what an unusually bold statement for a fortune cookie. Anyhow, I thought nothing of it and went on with my day. The following week, I was on my way to work and my car just stalled. I could not restart the engine even though it had gas and a rather new battery. I had it towed to the dealership where they informed me that one of the rods in the engine was bent. The car is a 1994 Honda Civic EX, and it only has about 112 thousand miles on it. Anyhow, the price for a refurbished engine from the dealership with a 3 year warranty for that model of car is: $3,400. With the economy the way it is, I don't have that type of money saved up, so I am asking for any assistance to be able to get enough money to pay for this engine.

My husband was a Police Officer for 19.5 years. He was injured on the job in 1998 but through surgery and physical therapy he was able to go back to work as a full duty police officer. At that time in 1998, the neurosurgeon who performed his surgery (chipped bones in his neck) told him he would need a second surgery in approx. 10-12 years, totally related to the first injury.(we chose not to have a fusion of C5-C6-C7 so that he could go back to work) He had his second surgery in April 2010 and hasn't been back to work since. He has used all his sick time, holidays, vacation time and donated time by other officers as of Jan. 17, 2011 and we have been without pay since. The Police Pension Board has been playing games with us, sending him to 3 of their own doctors (doctors who don't specialize in this area) and we have 3 of our own drs who say he is disabled and unable to return to work as a police officer. (So a total of 5 drs say he is disabled - the 6th dr. still unclear) The village will not give him light duty. Our lawyer is costing a fortune that we don't have, and we are still waiting for the board to be "decent" and "helpful" to a fellow police officer and give my husband a 50% disabilty without prejudice until the hairs are split for the on-duty disability of 65% but they refuse. I am currently working two jobs (hourly wage) we are unable to purchase our presscriptions, we are unable to purchase groceries, other than necessities, our credit cards are maxed out which we used to pay utilities. After giving 19.5 years as a fulltime Police Officer, the dangers on a daily basis that he has faced, and I as his wife, have feared for his safety for the past 23 years (he was a part-time police officer for 3 years prior to full-time)and this pension board and village cannot see the pain and suffering they are causing. We are not beggers, we need assistance to stay in our home,(we're late on our mortgage)we are Christian people who will pay it forward as we can. Please consider helping us, maybe next time you need 911 in an emergency and a cop shows up at your door - apprciate what he does, he may save your life, or the life of someone you know. NO POLICE OFFICER should be treated the way my husband is being treated.

She was a nationally certified paralegal and he was an IT Admin for a fortune 500 company. One day in early 2008, Carolyn had a seizure at work and was takin to the emergency room. They called Don at work and he went straight there. They were informed that she had a gioblastoma, a brain tumor. I am a young man aged 25yrs,living with parents or rather at their mercy.I completed my education by securing a Master's Diploma in Advanced Biotechnology and was previously employed as a Business Development officer with a Pharmaceutical concern.But things had never been easy with me.

The company I worked used to exploit my abilities vastly and I was paid only USD 1800 a year.They also delayed every incentives that was earned by me,eventually this led to a aversion for the job and the company I worked for and I did Quit it a couple of months ago.They are yet to pay me my dues........

I always had a dream to become a big entrepreneur someday and always had thought I would develop and venture the family business into new arenas where there would be lots of revenue.But my Dad never consents to my ideas and treats me as if I am a retard.He always challenges me to begin a business on my own and generate revenues greater than him in order to prove myself.

Hence my financial freedom is at great stake now........even after being educated and having been honest in the way I lead my life I have lost the basic essence of living a life being separated from my financial freedom,career and the Entrepreneurial dream which is now desperately begging your help.

My idea of Business: my nation of stay is a large agro-based economy.The major percentage of its revenue comes from agriculture.The most needed product in the agriculture industry is Fertiliser.But the Government is now encouraging the use of Biofertlisers more.Many big corporate houses has already ventured into this market and earning the profits.But as is the way,in the very competitive market of our country two things say the final word : Money and Hard Work.......the market demands and the supplier has to deliver,quality and high price doesn't finds the buyer nor does smart ideas.

1. Mortgage of Property:I don't have any,I am a little more than a slave for my parents.
2. Credentials form a past Business: If I really had a Business of my own,I wouldn't have went to ask money from a lender.
3. Smart Business plan: I have made many plans but none of them seem to satisfy any investors who always looks for whats in it for them........I am tired convincing them honestly and I have no money to build a flawless project report from experienced consultants.

Hence,my last resort is here,to grab a pan and beg a fortune.Gentlemen,I know the amount I ask for might be enormous except for the lucky millionaires and billionaires who spends such an amount overnight partying or buying an expensive vehicle for their near and dear ones........but it is also true that this amount can change an unlucky man's life forever.
