Post a Beg Now!

Our Home is slipping away... Please HELP now!

Posted by buyahome on 2012-05-17 13:58:58

Just $10-$20 from YOU, could help us make a dream come true, and possibly others on Begslist.com as well!!
As the housing bubble collapsed, my family and I could see the coming recession and its fall out coming. While my wife has a steady and secure job, and I ran a successful public relation business, we could not chance getting caught in the down pour of bad lending and foreclosure we saw coming. That was our last smart move.
As the recession, I might argue depression spread across the country and our town equally, like so many others, we found ourselves affected in ways we didn't see coming. My business began to fail, losing client after client to hard economic times, until those few clients who were left were asking for reduced costs, some even asking to keep services coming though they can not pay at this point. I have tried to oblige. I continue to serve many clients in trying to promote their products and services "pro-bono" so they can eek out a living in these times.
My wife has been great through all this. She works a steady "day job" to barely meet our monthly rent and bills.
We have tapped every credit card, and can't pay their monthly bills and fees. We have ruined our credit, believing if we could hold back the storm, and continue to help those we serve, we would be alright on the other end.
NOW, as home prices are finally in reach, we find that we can no longer qualify for the loan that would get us, and our five sons into a new home. With home costs once nearing and surpassing $200K, we can now buy the perfect home for $50K. That's what we're asking for now: $50K!! Banks, once far too anxious to give loans for over-priced homes to people who could not afford them, now turn us away for a much more reasonable loan that would actually lower our monthly expenses by almost 1/2. We now watch as wealthy investors snatch up the homes once financed by real families and foreclosed on. But in the time it takes to rebuild the credit we need to get financed, these moguls will have all of the properties and be renting them out to all of us who could not hope to own under these terms.
So we turn to YOU! A generous stranger, who can help make our dream come true. YOU can donate a small portion of this expense, and help us to make this dream come true. We are setting a goal of $50K, and hoping to beat the tide of greedy investors from owning what could be our new home. As we get closer to our goal we will use some of the thoughtful contributions we receive to repair the credit we have forfieted, so we might get the funding we need on our own through a bank. IF this happens, and we exceed donations needed, then we will donate the remaining funds to others on Begslist.com, including to the Begslist.com creator to continue to help neighbors help neighbors ... because we all need help sometimes!

Medical and other bills piling up

Posted by gshafer80 on 2012-05-17 11:58:40

When my daughter was born in January of 2011 she had to be extracted via a fast emergency c-section. She had been engaged in the birth canal but she disengaged herself and the umbilical cord came out. The doctor was concerned that the cord was strangling her and took my wife to emergency surgery. My daughter survived and is now healthy. My wife developed an infection from the procedure and spent three months with a wound vac and endured two more procedures to try and remove the infection. In the time since I have changed jobs and moved my family back to where I grew up so we could get help with child care for both the baby and her 6 year old half sister from my parents because of the costs of day care. My wife can no longer work. I tried for several months to sell my home. When the opportunity presented itself I moved my family and ceased making the payments on the home I was trying to sell. It is now being foreclosed on. We are covered up with medical bills both from her past before we were married and also from the procedures to stop her infection and also credit card bills that are partially thanks to my ex-wife. After reading through this site I have decided that I guess I am not too proud to ask for help from compassionate people. Please contact me if you have any questions or thoughts on my situation.

Need to move

Posted by Minnielizzy on 2012-05-03 09:58:45

Hello everyone! My mom just decided that she was going to move to another state because her house is being foreclosed. I have a very reliable job where I live and am unable to move with her. I am now being forced to move out on my own with in the month. With no preparation to save I am unable to come up with all the money for first and security rent. I am ashamed to even be on here but I have no other options. I am hoping to receive some help to get my into an apartment before I become homeless. I appreciate your time for reading this. Take care and God Bless

Need to keep my dogs!

Posted by Damifino on 2012-04-29 01:58:24

I was laid off from my job in the mortgage business in 2007. I tried to find a job for four years, while still managing to pay the mortgage from my savings. No jobs in mortgage, and no interest (despite my skills in general office duties) from other types of business. In December of 2010 I ended up in the hospital with a life threatening skin cancer-I hadn't sought medical treatment because of losing my health insurance, but it got to the point that I was taken out of the house on a stretcher. Now my only source of income is SS disability (my sternum was removed in surgery). My house is being foreclosed. There's no way that I can ask for help with keeping the house, it's too much money. But, I need help with being able to find a place to live where I can bring my two dogs. They are rescued German Shepherds. They are both old, and would have no chance of being adopted if I take them to a shelter. Giving up my devoted friends isn't an option, but any place that I can afford on the disability income alone doesn't allow dogs. I spent all my savings keeping my house because I truly believed that I would be able to find a job. I just need some help to get a new home for me, Chance and Bentley until they either are ready to leave and I can go rent a little room, or I can regain enough strength to go back to work.

Please help

Worried Mommy in Foreclosure w/ 2 yr old baby!

Posted by Worried-Mommy on 2012-03-28 19:58:47

Please help! This is a last resort to keep a roof over my 2 year old baby girl's head. I am thirty years old and have owned a small condo for the past 6 years with no problems until we lost our jobs of many years due to the economy. We are currently at about six thousand dollars behind in mortgage payments and received notice that we have went into foreclosure. We still have a chance to pay our delinquent amount in full to keep it from actually being foreclosed and becoming homeless. We have no place to go if we lose our home. It is all we have to our name. I feel like such a failure as a mother that it has come to this and really can not bare having to take my baby girl to live in a homeless shelter. To make matters worse, her birthday is in a few days on April 3rd and we have no money at all to be able to have a party for her or to get her a gift. I've never asked or begged for help from strangers before but it's our only hope. We have no one who can help us so hoping to find kind hearted people that know what it’s like to get down on your luck and kicked while you’re down who are able and willing to help a family get back up. Two months after becoming pregnant with my first and only daughter a couple years ago, my fiancée lost his job of twelve years & has struggled to find a stable one since. About two months after our daughter turned one, I lost my job of seven years due to company bankruptcy. We are currently both unemployed and constantly looking for work and doing as many side jobs and gigs as we can in the meantime. We struggle to eat on a constant basis and can’t afford the basic things in life. We are days away from losing our home. We have fallen way behind in our mortgage payment and are begging for help to get caught up. Anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated! I promise every word I have typed is the truth and we are definitely not the worthless type just looking for a free ride or to take advantage of kind and generous people. There are many things we need money for right now but I am only asking to help us get caught up enough to cancel foreclosure proceedings while we try our hardest to find steady work. I am begging purely for the necessity of keeping our roof over our head and not having to live on the street with our baby girl. Please find it in your heart to help us! If we are not able to raise enough money to keep our home, we are hoping to at least raise enough to find another place to live, so any donations will definitely help us greatly! We are very kind-hearted people who are ALWAYS helping anyone we can so we will definitely PAY IT FORWARD! THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!

Saving my home

I bought my house 4 years ago but injured my back at work about a year later and my employer at the time promptly laid me off. Since then I have gone to school and found a new job but it's only part time and the bills are piling up and we have the choice of paying bills or feeding our son. Now I find out I have a heart condition and my insurance gets pulled. Mortgage is not long from being foreclosed, owe money to the IRS, loads of medical bills, and many more things threaten to send us under.

Please help!

We are about to lose everything

Posted by scaredcrowinsd on 2012-01-23 03:58:10

My fiance and I were both laid off from our jobs in this past year with no luck finding new ones. My mom has been in and out of the hospital all year with seizures and blood clots. In the past two months my car broke down (unrepairable) and my fiancees car was towed. We were unable to come up with enough money to get it out of the tow yard before they auctioned it off (several thousand dollars).
My mom has worked hard her entire life raising three kids on her own. Last year she was diagnosed with epilepsy and can no longer drive. Around this same time she was laid off from her job. Since she was denied state disability her only source of income at the moment is renting out the spare bedrooms in her house. Because of all of this her home is about to be foreclosed on.
On Tuesday this week she went to the hospital for a blood clot in her leg. During a procedure to remove the clot she started bleeding into her stomach. She has been touch and go for days and while the doctors say they are cautiously optomistic she is far from out of the woods yet.
I'm absolutely terrified that even if my mom makes it through all of this she won't have a house to go home to. Let alone be able to buy basic necesseties. I feel helpless and hopeless that I can't do more to help.
She is my everything, and I am begging for you, a kind-hearted stranger, to please do whatever you can to help us. Thank you.

Military Veteran Needs Help

Filed and completed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Jan 2005. Thought that would get me back on my feet. Was affected by Katrina in Aug 2005. Bills and recovery from the hurricane started snowballing and adding up. Lost majority of the house items due to a fallen tree through the roof. Just couldnt catch a break. Managed to get another house even with the bankruptcy, which eventually was foreclosed on. Struggled thru years of money issues and still managed to give 100% to the military. Retired in 2007. Retired pay, nearly half, new it was coming but didnt sink in til it was done. Rated 60% disabled thru the VA. Currently helping 21 year old daughter with cell, auto, and insur, as she attends college. Sadly we are unable to help our 23 year old in college with anything. Luckily, she is very independant and understanding, but the guilt is unbearable. Currently attempting to support our family now including my 18 year old step son with a truck, insur, gas. Wife is out of work. Not enough cs money for food which is supposed to help son from his deadbeat father. Need help to get caught up/ahead, pay off medical bills, and common utilities. Been a very long while since we've had a time to sigh and not have a heavy load on our shoulders. My 21 year old has blessed us with our grand daughter but we can only do so much to help them, nothing extra. We manage to appear happy and the things we do have is it. Have rearranged bills in every way possible and yet again, money spent before the deposit. Any amount would be appreciated. We just need a breather. Please.

Back To The Taxi Cab

Hello, my name is Mike.I live in Indianapolis,In.Up until March of 2011 I was a cab driver here in town.At that time I was asked by my son to join his small business of cleaning out foreclosed homes,a business he ran along with his regular job. Unfortunately as time went on we found we could no longer work side by side,so I have left as of December 2011.Shortly after leaving my car broke down and any money I had went to utility bills. My goal is to get back in a cab in time for the Super Bowl in February. As my Taxi License expired in September, I need to renew it.The cost to renew your license here is $132.50+ $250.00 for the first weeks rent on the cab.My Goal is to be back in a cab by the Super Bowl, and to continue driving throughout 2012.I know it's a small goal, but it will keep me going thru the lean times.Every $ is appreciated. Thank you and God Bless.

Single Dad trying to stay afloat

Posted by bthumudo on 2011-12-28 15:58:49

Not to proud when it comes to taking care of my daughter. It's been a rough couple years. The best part of it all is my beautiful 4 year old daughter who is my world. I fought and lost a lot to get custody of her but it was worth every penny. Thanks to her mother I lost a lot, my home, my car, thousands of dollars worth of possessions because of her drinking and drug use.

I've worked 2 jobs for 3 1/2 years to make ends meet. It's my daughter and I in a 1 bedroom apt, with a car that makes me wonder some mornings. I've had my house foreclosed on, had to file bankruptcy and had the bank remove items before they were legally able. That's another story.

Regardless, I am a hard worker and at the suggestion of a friend took a job here in Cincinnati with a company. Everything was great, salary etc finally, until 2 months after I started. They fired the CIO and my hiring Director. Brought in a new CIO who basically is cleaning house. Not based on performance, but on financial reasons. Therefore, my entire dept is being outsourced to Lima Peru. After the first of the year I may be without a job.

I'm kicking myself for leaving my last job. Sure finance wise it was a struggle but I was doing it. Now I'm not sleeping, worried sick as to what I'm going to do. I'm not looking for handouts, I would rather a good paying stable job in this area or maybe someone to critique my resume and maybe beef it up so to speak. I'm an IT Project Manager with almost 10 years experience but can't afford, nor have the time to get my PMP with working 2 jobs and all.

Any help is appreciated and will definitely pay it forward once I have the means.

Thank you for reading and God bless

Please in Need Farm Equipment

Posted by achoco51 on 2011-11-11 13:58:08

Looking for help to start a business donating (fruits and Vegatable) to the homeless. Several years ago I inheritated a nice piece of farm land. I noticed all the people off work and the homelessness in our country and came up with an ideal to plant and give away the majoritey crop to families in need. About a quarter of 2-5 year olds and one-third of school-age children (including adolescents) are overweight or obese in the U.S. I'm hoping and praying for a miracle. I need farm equipment to get me started. The housing and homelessness crisis in the United States has worsened over the past two years, particularly due to the current economic and foreclosure crises. By some estimates, more than 311,000 tenants nationwide have been evicted from homes this year after lenders took over the properties. People being evicted from foreclosed properties and the economic crisis in general have contributed to the growing homeless population. As more people fall into homelessness, local service providers are seeing an increase in the demand for services. My goal is to donate my growing vegatables to homeless shelter and schools. (Please help me help the starving people)

Please Help with bills for Family with small Children!

Posted by baaehoops08 on 2011-11-11 11:58:16

I am a mother of a 2 year old and 9 month old girls. I am employed full time in the week and go to school at nights. My Husband is a union carpenter who recently had surgery then got laid off due to lack of work. This past year has been a struggle in itself we came very close to being foreclosed in our house. However we have been able to work things out and keep our home. However with current lay off and my work slow we are able to stay with our bills barely but we have no money for groceries and our past debts and medical bills. We have had credit card issues in the past however we no longer have any active and are trying very hard to be debt free. If you could donate a little to help with feeding my kids is the main priority at the moment. Any extra would be to pay our debt of 15000 off little by little we currently have 8000 in medical bills and then 2000 in past credit debts then the last 5000 is to family that has helped out as much as they can. If you donate and wish to see where the money went I would gladly be able to share that with you. Hope everyone is Healthy and Happy for you. Thank you for reading.
