Once again my husbands firm are changing his pay structure with barely any notice! They now say he has 2 work a month in hand which basically comes down to them not paying him until the last day of April :-(
I am listing as much as I can on eBay to try and make some money for food, but the direct debits and bills still have to be paid and I am so worried, I've never tried this before but I do know that I am willing to try anything as I have 3 beautiful children that rely on us to take care of them and the thought of not being able to do that scares me :-(

The whole idea of asking for money makes me sick to my stomach. I have never been a beggar or a person who wanted charity. But I honestly have no other choice anymore.
My story starts in 2009 with my ex girlfriend, whom would turn out to be the worst thing that ever happened to me. I'm not going to play the blame game, because I have forgiven her since. However I am left with the lasting damage of that relationship.
We had dated when we were young, she had cheated with a friend and I had left her, but i always loved her most of all and was eventually able to forgive her later. I was a fool for love. This is where the trouble starts, we had begun to talk again in early 2009, and soon a relationship developed between us once again. By this time she had a daughter who was 7 years old. I moved to another state to be with her and her daughter, after awhile I loved her daughter as my own child. I took her fishing with me every chance I had. I did not realize it before I had went down there, but her family was a real problem. They took to controlling every aspect of her life, even going as far as taking her mail out of her mail box and reading it. From the very start I has hated, I could not be controlled or told what to do, though they tried. Later in the year I was working and I thought things had improved, they grudgingly accepted me.

I am not a cruel or an evil person, I am always firm but loving when it comes to discipline. There had started to be problems at school and home, with tantrums, and destructive behavior. My ex and I talked about it and we tried everything, nothing seemed to work save simple old fashioned spanking. When she threw a tantrum one day and wrote that she hated us and left it on a note where we would surely find it, and broke her own window in her room. I knew something had to be done, this was totally unacceptable. So I spanked her, not hard or vicious like i got when i was a boy. But just my hand. I left a red mark, not welts or bruises a red mark. Of course being a little girl, she tended to talk and tell everyone EVERYTHING. She told her grandmother about it, and that was it for me, suddenly i was this horrible terrible person. My ex and I quarreled about it a great deal and I left for awhile just to get my head around things and see if it was worth saving.

I decided to leave, and I went home back to indiana where i was from, I left with a broken heart, but i knew the situation couldn't be fixed.
There were other things going on at the time I did not become aware of until later, one was that my ex was pregnant. She later admitted to me that she had been smoking while pregnant, drinking, taking more and more prescriptions, and when she finally told me about it she told me she was glad she had miscarried.
I have never forgotten that statment.
Now here is where the real trouble begins and why I am in such desperate need.
The child told her teacher, and child services became involved, as they always do and will for any reason.
Eventually it got turned over to the sheriff's office to see what they wanted to do with it. Now enters the grandparents into the equation.
The pushed it hard even against my ex's wishes, and managed to get them to file charges for child abuse and issue a warrant. A warrant I didnt even know i had until christmas time 2010. I was picked up and detained for extradition over it. The following monday I was released, I was informed that they didnt want to come get me. I called my ex, and she told me that she had told them to drop it, we talked and talked, she begged me to forgive her for all that happened, and eventually i did, for some reason I still felt like i couldnt live without her. So we continued to talk up until july of 2010. When something happened, grandmother got curious wondering what these numbers were on the cell phone bill. She confronted my ex and she told her that she had talked to me. Ever since that point I have this "open case" listed publically on my record. After about 10 interviews I discovered that was the reason I couldn't have a job. Who would want to hire a "child abuser" anyway? Here it is febuary its been about 8 months without work. I lost my place, and nearly everything i own, I even lost the will to live. I live with my parents now, and I know im a burden to them. I'm thinking about it everyday. It is tax refund time now, and I have half of what I need for my lawyer to try and fix this horrible mess. He is of the almost certain opinion this will be completely dropped, and I can have a job again, and recover somewhat of a life. If you can help please help, I am a desperate man, and I want my life back, I need it back, I cant take not being able to work, and being a burden to my parents who are dirt poor!

I'll keep this part short and simple. My rent is 880 and was due on the 1st. I have a 3 day notice dated 2/7/12 which leaves tomorrow (2/10/12) my last day. Not sure how this site works as far as how anyone notifies me if they can help but I have $100. Young single mom in temporary need...

I am a graduate student attending Mississippi State University. Iam in my final semester of Early Elementary Education and have absolutely ran completely out of money. The past two years have been hellish for me. I have lost everything but my faith and absolute love for my daughter. My ex-wife and her mother have alienated me from my daughter since her birth two years ago. Wow, I can't even believe I have come to begging for help, but I am at the end of my rope. My husband has medical bills totaling near $5000, due to kidney failure and being robbed and beaten. Not to mention, I am two months from having another baby. So, this will add to the medical bills even more...I do have medical insurance through my employer (NOT medicaid) , but as we all know, this does not cover everything.

First, let me say that I have a good job, I work at a law firm and have been there for 10 years. I only have one child (and one on the way) so I am not sitting at home, doing nothing. My husband works where he can, when he can, but it's not been enough to get us out of the water enough to even breathe!

We are able to pay the monthly mortgage, lights, water and insurances on my child and vehicles, but other than that, we cant seem to pay anything. I currently have $16.00 in my bank account and cant even buy groceries...I am desperate for help...$10, $15, anything would help. I can make a meal for my entire family for $10 a night. Bankruptcy is mt next option and I am desperately trying not to go there.

Last month, I come home from a normal day at work, happy to see my two little boys (Josh 3 and Liam 4 months) and what I used to consider my better half. I walked in to find the house empty - no note, no indication of what had happened. I toyed around with calling the police, but it was clear this wasn't a missing persons case, or a robbery or anything else other than what it was. Everything was gone. Phone disconnected, bank accounts cleared out, credit cards closed. Suddenly it was me, the house and the car and nothing else. After a few days of searching, talking to family, friends and yes even filing a police report - not they cared much - I discovered I had been dumped for a guy my wife had been seeing for months. We has only just signed the lease less than a month before, and I thought we were really happy together. There were no signs - nothing that I saw at least. This really isn't the part that hurts, I can live with all this; it's her life and her decision. What really hurts is not seeing my boys.

During the first few days I didn't work, too busy trying to piece together what had gone on and why and how it had come to this right under my nose. The rent still needed to be paid, even though the house was unfurnished and too big for me alone. I was (and still am) locked into the lease! Problem number one.

Problem number two is rather more complex. Last Friday I received two letters. The first from a solicitor (our version of what you would call a lawyer) informing me of divorce proceedings and the second was sent a letter from the Child Support Agency informing me my wife is seeking child support payments from me. Now, I'm no deadbeat dad! I think all parents should pay for their children's needs but here I am - rent on a house I don't need, no furniture (some friends have lent me a TV and cooking utensils and a couch), no money to contest the proceedings and on top of that she wants me to pay child support while she's shacked up and living a 'normal' life with my boys, whom I haven't seen since.

I've seen a solicitor who advised me he wouldn't bill me for the first meeting - we talked about the situation, and what he could do from here... It requires more than I have, to achieve what I want and what I think is fair! All I want to do is split our assets 60/40 her favour (she has the kids). Get out of this lease that I'm legally locked into, and get shared custody of my beautiful little boys. Problem is she has the assets and without a court order to either return a portion to me or divest herself of some of the assets so I can be compensated, I can't pay a solicitor and barrister to get the money to do all this. Once it's all settled I'll happily pay my child support requirements, see my boys and leave her out of my life, seeing that's what she wants.

My solicitor has told me I could be up for as much as $10,000, but $6000 should be a good starting point. His firm wont proceed without knowing they'll be paid - fair enough, but what's a man to do in this situation?

I am literally begging for $6000. I haven't wanted for anything in my life - I've always worked and worked hard for what I had, but when it's all taken away from you, you realise how vulnerable we all are. I'm pledging that whatever I receive from this site that's not used in the case, I will pay forward, to another needy soul from this site. Please help... My heart and thanks, and that of my boys will go out to you.

Update: 6th Jan 2012. I've managed to get the proceedings heard at a later date, due to my personal situation. But nothing has changed. I still don't have the funds to fight this and to date not one response to my plea for help. I'm begging - literally for some assistance. I haven't seen my boys since December and I can't fight this without your help.

I became disabled just 2 1/2 years ago. Up until that time, I was a full time teacher in the public schools. I can no longer work full time. Right after becoming disabled and loosing my full time job, I fell behind on my mortgage.

Desperate to save my home, I hired a law firm who promised to get me a home loan modification. Well, a year and 10 months after that, nothing had happened. So, I hired another lawyer in Feb 2011. I just found out last week that he only contacted my bank TWICE in the past 11 moonths. Now my bank says I'm no longer eligible for a home loan modification and that forclosure proceedings would continue.

I have no family and very few social connections because of my disability. Because of the scamming law firms, I have no savings to even put a security deposit on a rental.

My dream, wish, hope is that someone will pay off my bank and let me pay you with interest!

If that never happens, I will soon be in desperate need of help in relocating. I am unable to pack and move myself and know no one who will help. I also need to put a security deposit on a rental

Even after moving, the trouble has just begun. The bank was supposed to modify my payments to be between $400 and $500 a month for my 1000 square foot condo. A rental with comparable space and a place for my pup to poddy starts at $800 a month. Over 50% of my income!

i am a young businessman started a big multibrand mobile showroom with airconditioned. i went to andhra bank for a loan of 30 lakhs and given my house as security. The branch head said that your loan is under processing and it will sanctioned in 7 days. After seven days i went to bank and met him. He opend an current account on my firm name and issued cheque book stating that your loan will starts from 5th of this month. So i went home happily and the next day i placed order worth of 10 lakhs to all distributors of various brands and i issued post dated cheque on the date of 6th. The day i never forgot in my life. Morning about 11am one of the distributor called me and said there is no balance in your account. how can u give 5 lakhs cheque to us. i was surprised and told him that it was an OD account. plz chek once again. after 15 mins he called me again and told me that there is no such OD facility in my account. Immediatly i called to my bank manager and his cell was switched off. then i called to branch land line number and asked the Assistant Manager. He said that the manager was on leave upto 4 days and he dont know anything about the loan. then i took money from one financer at a huge rate of interest to pass all my cheques and it took 6 months to clear the loan by selling my house which i was supposed to put as security with the bank. I lost all my money, house, car, showroom and all. At present i am having still 25 lakhs debits and i am facing very bad and worst situation both outside and in my house. When i sold my house 70years aged my parents went to other rented house and till today i dont know where they are living right now. They are very much anger with me and not interestd to state that i am their son. I left my wife and child and living with my friend because of my wife's torture. Like many others who are suffering during this current economic crisis, I am a hard-working, independent individual who has worked for 40 years in corporate America. I lost my job in September 2010 and have not been able to find another.
