I've never been more uncomfortable asking for anything. I always felt ashamed. My mother once told me, it's how you view yourself, and that you shouldn't feel bad or ashamed. Well for me asking for help from people I do not know makes it hard. August 18th of 2012, I will be getting married, first wedding, and Im happy! Unfortunately, my fiance and I need help. I won't go into the total of the wedding, only b/c we both work and are trying to go it alone. Besides, I feel that, that would be a bit selfish, to put numbers out there as if to have it paid fully by anyone. Any donation would be most appreciated. I'm 19 years old, no diploma and no parents to help me. I can't get a job because i don't even have my GED because i don't have the money to get it. I want to go to school and further my education and get a decent job. I'm currently living with my fiance and her family because i have nowhere else to go and have no way of supporting myself. I've done odd jobs here and there but the money goes just as quick as it gets in my pocket. I'm an honest hard working guy that just needs a little push to finally get going. Pleae help me. Thank you.

My best friend was recently diagnosed with cancer. She's too proud to ask for help herself, and I'm one of the few people in her life that even knows she's sick. Her own family (who recently disowned her after she broke up with a fiance they liked) doesn't even know what's going on.

My friend started having a panic attack after doing some calculations and realizing that she can't afford her final semester of college this August after paying for Chemotherapy and some unexpected car repairs. Her family refuses to give her the information she needs to fill out her FAFSA, so she can't even get student loans.

I couldn't stand seeing her like that -- She's been struggling with issues for years due to a traumatic childhood, and to see her dreams of graduating fall apart due to money issues was too much to bear.

So I told her I'd pay for her last semester, in full. And looking at my finances, I will be able to pay for most of it if I penny-pinch, don't eat out, avoid driving anywhere I don't need to, and donate some blood to the local blood bank. But it looks like even with doing that, I'll come up about $500 or $600 short.

If you can donate and help out, I'd be forever grateful for you helping her dreams come true. If you can't donate, have any ideas on how someone living in the Clark County, Nevada area could make some money over the weekends, let me know in the comments.

Have been a great nurse for 36 years, now unemployed and have not found a job. Certainly did not think the job problem would affect nursing. I know God has a plan for me, and hope for a sign/guidance soon. My savings are almost gone to pay bills/mortgage. Don't get me wrong, I am so blessed in many ways. Am trying not to worry, but have no health insurance, all my savings will be gone in a month and I don't know what to do. Am trying to be positive, since being out of work allows me to help my future mother in law (she is 94)My fiance and I are trying to keep feeding a colony of cats, some ferel, but some have become very loving and they all look forward to our daily visits, and the food we bring. Any help would be so appreciated. Hopefully I will be able to get work soon and be able to help others.

Thank you for reading. I'm a 25 year old female looking for a little help from others towards rebuilding my life. A few months ago my fiance took his own life at our house while I was out of town visiting family. I still to this day have not been able to go back to our house to get any of my belongings. The police will not respond to e, neither will victims services. The estate and all of my belongings went to his parents, who blame me for his decision to end his life. It hurts because I was by his side trying to get him help. I was told that the parents discarded everything of mine to make it look like I had moved out so that I would not receive anything from the estate. I lost my car, clothes, personal belongings, furniture, memories of my fiance and all of my paperwork as well as my job, because I couldnt go back. I am asking for donations to help me with food, clothes, shelter, car for work, and to help hire a lawyer for losing everything that I owned. Not one lawyer will take my case for free. With this help I may be able to fight for compensation from the estate and with that money, will go back to school for councelling. I wish to help those who are contemplating suicide, and who are victims of it like me. Again, thank you for reading. This is 100% true story and Im still fighting with the police to this day, wondering why I was never given the option to go back to my home to get my things. Hello...I desperately need your help. My fiance and I have been together for the last five years. Three years ago he was working as a volunteer coach for a soccer team and the school he used to teach at. One day in soccer practice he jumped for a ball, lost his footing, and fell on his neck. He fractured a vertebrae which left him in excruciating pain. To make matters worse, as the bone healed it left a bone spur at the base of his head that pushes on the nerve bundle next to his brain stem. Gradually, as the spur grew bigger it made him paralyzed from the neck down. We have obviously put our wedding on hold to deal with this unfortunate fate. I work three jobs just to make the minimum payments on his medical bills and I take care of him whenever I am not working.
Because of the proximity of the bone spur to his brain stem, no doctor in the U.S. will touch it to operate on it. However, we have consulted with a doctor in Germany that practices surgery like this every day. He says with the surgery my fiance would be able to regain the use of most of his body with a lot of intensive physical therapy. But...the surgery costs right around $25,000 which might as well be 25 million. I spend every penny I make just barely scraping by. I know this surgery would give him back his freedom and his ability to live the way he always dreamed. Please help us...every little bit counts. I appreciate anything you can do.

I am an unemployed father of a newborn son. I recently lost my job of 4 and a half years. Over the last year I have incurred $10,000 in credit card debt. On top of that, my fiance has been reduced to 30 hours a week at her job. We can't afford to get our own place and each currently live with our parents. Hello I am a student at ISU and in need of help with one months rent of $600.00. My fiance and I are in the process of moving to spokane so I can further my education up there and also because my current school doesn't offer my full program. but my true beg on this website is because my fiance's mother was staying with us and paying half of the bills each month and in Feb she got a DUI and is now in jail and we have had to cover the extra bills the last two months and it has killed us. I have a job making 32 a hour where we are going we just need our deposit to help get there. I just got released from the hospital this week after having been there for a week. I also have a condition called pyoderma gangrenasum which causes debilitating ulcers on my legs. I went in to have a doc see my ulcer because it had gotten to the point where it was painful to walk. They took blood tests and found a slew of other things wrong. They found that I was Anemic, low Vitamin D right off the bat. Upon further tests including colonoscopy, CT scan, Enema and more they found a blockage and a small hole in my colon so I was admitting and pumped with medication. I started feeling better and after a week they finally let me go home. I am still on multiple medications and am struggling with getting things back to normal. My Crohn's disease has made my life a living hell at times. Some days I can't eat without pain, I suffer from arthritis like symptoms that make it painful to walk, it wakes me up at night so I have difficulty sleeping and now on top of that I have become moody and depressed. I am unable to work and have no income. I am in the process of retrying to get disability after being denied because I am only in my 30s and they think I can still work. Stress makes my condition worse and I cant help but be stressed every day. I get very little relief. I have a wonderful fiance who has been struggling to pay for all of our living expenses on his own and it is making his life dramatically harder as well. I need help. I am asking for your grace and kindness right now. It is increasingly difficult to be able to afford just daily items such as soap and shampoo, not to mention medications because I am unable to afford insurance. Please if there is any amount you can give, it would be wholeheartedly appreciated. I am in dire straights right now.. Thank you for taking the time out to read this..

Im a 24 year old first time mom i gave birth to my baby girl January 31st. She is almost three months.. I lost my job at around December when i was 8 months pregnant. It was off the books so i couldnt do much about it. My fiance was working at the time.. things were already getting tough. He lost hours and days of work due to the business not doing good . We found ourselves stuck owing two months rent so decided to try and get cash assistance ... We were denied 4 times.. soo we stopped trying. They denied us because of income which made no sense because he wasnt making enough to pay rent... Over and over again they said it was a mistake but still we were denied. We now owe almost 5 months rent. We play monthly 881. In a studio apartment. We have to go to court and try and make a settlement. Im just scared because i have a soon to be 3 month old and i might not have a home for us. We cant get help anywhere else. Or from anyone else. Im not sure how this works or if it does work but its worth a shot. I dont know what else to do. Pleasehelp us.

All the financial means that would've let my best friend/spirit sister be matron of honor at my wedding have fallen thru, in true Murphy's Law fashion. He went there on a job which is no longer there and now all the money that he had has been depleted I send him what I can, but it is not enough. I'm a teacher's aide in a non public school for emotionally disturbed kids so needless to say I don't make much and I'm off work in summers. I make enough to get by with my fiance's help but he was just locked up due to his friend leaving a pipe in the car. We both don't use and were just getting where we wanted to be when this happened. Rent is due next week, it's $950, if I don't pay I'll lose my house and my daughter since I have nowhere to live so her dad would get custody. hi, I'm 27 yrs old with 3 small children. Nearly a month and a half ago everything was going great, my partner proposed to me, we had plans on saving for a house and to hopefully move back to our hometown which we moved a yr earlier to start fresh and have a good life for our children. We moved so my fiance could get a good paying job. But what happen he was told suddenly there's no work at the moment and don't know how long he be out of work for. He called them the other day and told him still a month maybe 2! Which i could not believe and sound like there stuffing him around and that's a long time to be out of work when you got a family to provide. He cant go on centrelink because legally he still has a job and hasn't been fired. I don't think we ever been so broke and feel quite ashamed that i am begging now and would not if i was not desperate. I even considered hocking my engagement ring. The way things are going i think i might have too. I have been scraping up coins out of my son's money box to buy milk and bread. And just barely had enough to buy nappies and formula. I'm $750 behind in rent and I know they will be sending me a letter to pay the rent in 7 days or we will be evicted, and I dont even want to think about that because we are all the way on the other side of the country away from our home with just me my fiance and children. On top of that I'm overdue on my electricity bill that i already got a extension from. And my children all need new clothes for the colder season and most of their warm clothes are now to small for them now. I also started up my own online store a few months back which than i could afford with all the start up cost to at the time my fiance was working now that is put on the bottom of my list. So anyway what I'm asking for is just some generous help and would really appreciate any donations to help us get back on our feet. Thank you very much it's greatly appreciated
