College Tuition

Posted by Elise21 on 2012-05-15 15:58:46

I come from a low class family with no way to pay for college. I have applied for fafsa and scholarships but as you know scholarships are not guaranteed and federal grants are continually getting smaller.

I love America and the smell of freedom and I want to help others in need, that's why I aspire to be a certified registered nurse anesthesiologist. I admit I am not the best student but I am hardworking and I promise your contribution to my education will not go to waste !!!

I ask for money to further my education even if it's a penny I am truly grateful for it ! I Thank You in advance and may you be blessed in return !

Former Stripper NEEDS MONEY to FINISH School!

Posted by abrazelton on 2012-05-09 01:58:21

Yes, I used to be a stripper. I have made some poor decisions in my life, but would like to put the past behind me and live a more philanthropic and spiritual life.

So here it is: I cannot receive my federal aid because of the 150% limit. Basically, I was unsure of what I wanted my major to be, and I took a lot of classes. Now I have a financial aid hold on my account, and I cannot register for the summer semester.

I only need 2 MORE CLASSES to graduate.
If I can pay my tuition for this semester, $1690.49, I can register for summer classes.

I need to be done with school so I can make a career for myself. Going back to stripping is not an option; the emotional, physical, and mental stress is too much.

I promise to you I will make a difference. A bachelor's degree is in the plan, and I enjoy helping others.

Please help me. Any amount will help.

I am legitimately in need. I will talk with you on the phone, skype, whatever it takes to prove I am real!

Can't use FAFSA, Grants, or Federal Monies

Posted by Future-Engineer on 2012-04-24 23:58:19

Background:

I was born in Argentina, but have lived in Texas since I was 5. I had no say in it; my parents decided that’s what was best for me since Buenos Aires was so crime-ridden. I graduated high school like normal kids, went to a community college right afterwards, and worked part time to cover its costs. I got an Associate’s in Science (Nursing) and then dropped out since I couldn't afford to attend a university nor decide on a major. My GPA was a 3.4 at the time.

I'm now 25, working full time (Geek Squad, can’t do much with an associate’s), studying electrical engineering, married to my high school sweetheart, and have my goals set! I just have one thing holding me back...MONEY. Since I backtracked when I changed majors, I had a few sophomore classes to take. I'm finishing them at the same community college, and I'm registered for the Fall semester at the University of Texas at Dallas (Junior level courses). I have gotten nothing but As since I've been back!

Why I Need Your Help:

Now, you may be wondering, why can't I use FAFSA? Well, I recently obtained my permanent residence. That was a big roadblock growing up. One of the agreements I had with our nation was that I would not use federal funds (welfare, food stamps, grants, FAFSA, etc) for the next 10 years. I work full time and attend as many classes as I can per semester; I have no time for lollygagging.

Sallie Mae can only loan me so much, and banks nowadays make it very difficult to borrow from for school. All the scholarships I’ve looked for require either citizenship or full time enrollment, neither of which I am. (Can’t enroll full time because I need to work full-time to make ends meet) My father is a construction worker and I don’t know my mom, she left us when I was 7. I just sold my laptop on eBay and made myself a cheap one from recycled parts. I've tried getting internships, but I'm not deep enough into my career to be eligible yet. Nearby family members don’t have any spare cash, and don’t make enough to co-sign a loan for me….So I’m here, hoping some kind strangers can help me out.

I am a hard working student, good Samaritan, bilingual, a jokester, drug-free, do calculus in my head, pay taxes, 740 credit score, and drive a broken down Pontiac. My only goal right now is to finish school with flying colors as soon as possible; just need this financial roadblock to meet a wrecking ball.

Will you help me smash it down?

Suffering from $165,000 in student loan debt...

Posted by hockeyadc on 2012-04-23 09:58:31

I currently have $165,000 in student loan debt. I am out of school, and working as many jobs, side jobs, and gigs I can find to pay off this massive debt. It is very discouraging to have spent 5 hard years of my life becoming an educated individual, when I have nothing to show for it. I will be paying this debt off for over 25-30 years, by this time I will be 54 years old. I would love to be able to have a life before I turn 54... Owning a house someday would be a dream come true, but I'm not sure it will be since I already owe enough money for one.

Any help would be great. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read my plea.

P.S. These are private loans mainly, so I cannot go on income based repayments like I would be able to if they were federal. I did not receive any federal money or FAFSA money. I wish I could go on income based repayments, because life is very hard at the moment.

Thanks again everyone.
With the lowering of Federal pale grants from $7500 to $5500 i have begun to struggle immensely. Tuition costs are around $10,000 /yr for tuition alone. This does not include where/how you park, live, eat or pay bills. I need money for everyday luxuries, such as: food, electricity, rent and tuition. These payments come due in large lump sums and it is pretty outrageous for someone who is trying to better their education. Please someone find it in them to help. Thank you so much.

Hi. My wiccan name is Celestial Dream. My website is http://danublessings.blogspot.com/

I am very good at what I do. I practice Powerful Magic.

I practicing solitary wicca five years ago.

I am also a psychic dreamer. Psychic and spiritual gifts ablilties have run in my family for years.

Today, the practitioners of the Wiccan faith carry on the rituals of Pagan Irish history and mythology. Nature worship and the divinity of the Goddess (as opposed to a patriarchal male God) are the fundamentals of Wicca, which focuses on incantations and rituals to honor the Goddess, the great outdoors, and the spirit world.

I've learned how to cast powerful spells of love, money, and much more.

I've helped family and friends for years when they've need a spiritual understanding and resolution to life's problems. I've given gifts of everyday jewelry that I've charged with a spell and they've had very good results.

Casting a spell is ceremonial.

Mystical objects and positives energies can be charged to an object. Charming items is to place a spell on them that carries out a particular purpose when in someone's possession. I've helped many people and they've been happy with the results.
After you purchase one of my spells send me your name and anything you would like me to know about your situation.
Please leave feedback after I start your spell. If it doesn't take at first I will gladly recast for you. Blessed Be!

Too Busy Fighting for My Life to Notice the Government Bend Me Over

Posted by proudcitizen on 2012-03-22 20:58:26

I am a married 59 year old disabled man. My wife is also disabled. I paid into Social Security and Federal taxes for 34 years and served my country during the Iran Hostage crisis. While getting my 50 year physical exam my bloodwork and a biospy ended up putting me through 2 chemos for my liver. Even though I wasn't cured we seemed to have stopped the progression of the disease. While going through this living hell our government would not approve my Social Security disability until I was completely penniless. My claim was finally approved after 2 years with no income or money. The judge who approved my claim was appalled that the SS Administration waited so long to approve someone over 55 with a 34 year work history. I was found 100% disabled due to a condition that ends in death. It's pretty obvious they were waiting to see if I would die! Now I do have some income which I am thankful for but it doesn't cover all my expenses. If all I had was general bills like gas, water, electric, car ins. and food I could make ends meet. I am struggling to pay my property tax. I own my home which my father built after WWII. My property tax is billed every 6 months and is over $1000.00 semi-anually my monthly check is only $1300.00 which barely covers the regular bills. Right now I am barely staying ahead of the threats to sell my home for back taxes. I applied for the Homestead Act property tax exemption for seniors and the disabled where they can deduct up to $25000.00 from the value of your home and tax that amount. The average person in my state saves $400.00 a year on this program according to their website. When my tax bill came this exemption only reduced my taxes by $164.00 a year. That's only $82.00 from each semi-annual government extortion. First I was forced to exhaust my life savings before they would approve my disability now this. I must figure a way to supplement my income. I have paid my dues and shouldn't have to struggle and deal with such heavy stress at this stage of my life. These are supposed to be pleasant years when you've lived right. Please, HELP!

I need an Employment Discrimination Lawyer

Posted by gloriericardo on 2012-03-06 14:58:57

Hello Friends,
Last year I worked for a corporation where I experienced a series of gender discrimination, harassment because of my gender, intentionally subjected to a hostile work environment, improperly disiciplibed, ridiculed, humiliated within the presence of my colleagues, then terminated.
I filed with the SDHR/ EEOC, it appears that I will need to proceed to Federal Court. This is my last chance to seek justice. I am afraid of my case being dismissed off of a small legal tech.
I have spoken to many lawyers who are willing to take my case, but want 10,000 to start. I do not have that kind of money. I am only receiving unemployment at the moment.
I have called free legal sites, firms, and program, but I need an employment lawyer.
If you all can help me raise the money or if you are an employment lawyer or have a friend who practices employment law please help.
I've been wronged, my right's have been violated to the point where I feel so hopeless. However, I have not and won't give up. Please, who ever you are, where ever you, if you can help me, may my heart be forever grateful to you. Bless You Hearts

Unemployed Homeless 61 white male

Posted by 1unluckysoul on 2012-02-20 10:58:02

Can maybe get Social Security in 5 months but need help living till then.
Dire Straits. noun. a bad or difficult situation or state of affairs, (not just the name of a band).
Up front, I take full responsibility for my current condition/situation, no other person place or thing is responsible for bad decisions I have made. And I have made quite a few.
That being stated, here are the facts;
Currently living in a car(read that homeless).
Unemployed, not unemployable but a very poor job history.
Stuck in a place where the weather is nice, but I really do not want to be here.
So if you have guessed that this is a plee for help, you are correct.
How did I get here? Years of practice.
I recently spoke with a professional, not in his professional settings, but of subjet matter that is discussed in his professional settings.
After some communications between us his opinion is that quite probably I am suffering from PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder). Something I aquired at the age of 17. 45 years ago I was involved in an automobile accident that resulted in both deaths, yes plural, and permanent disability to persons other than myself. Although due to circumstances beyond my control I was never charged with any crime, and there are no wants or warrants now, I believe the accident was my fault. I am willing to discuss the details in private as posting them on the internet could possibly bring painful memories to any living family members involved.
So for 45 years I have practiced the symptoms of PTSD so well that I have slipped through undetected. Probably in part due to the fact that although I am of the typical age of a Vietnam Vet, I never served in that arena, as I ran away from home just after the accident, because I was afraid of going to jail, that any draft papers never caught up with me. I was not afraid of going to jail because of being locked behind bars, I was afraid of suffering more sexual abuse at the hands of older inmates like I had already received from my sick alcoholic father.
So not being a vet and not discussing the accident no one ever considered PTSD, and they now know that severe trama of any sort can cause it, not just the theatre of the battlefield. Couple that to me not staying in one spot long enough for anyone to really know me. I have been successfully hiding in my head. As long as I don't get too close too intimate it won't hurt when I run away and lose you.
Severe trama it is now believed to stunt emotional growth. If the trama is severe enough emotional growth can in fact be locked in to the time of the tramatic event. So imagine being a teenager in a 61 year old body, thats me. Married 4 times afraid to have children. I heard on a radio talk show when I was very young that "The sins of the fathers where passed to their offsprings" and made a decision to never have children because no way was I going to do what was done to me to some helpless trusting child. This is one of the few things that I have been successful at.
The professional says I must discuss these matters, that is part of the healing process. So I am jumping in off the deep end, going online with my story in hopes that it will benefit myself and any other poor sod that happens to be in a similar situation.
Yes I am asking for help, financial help. Here with the help of the professional is what I am thinking, If I can find a few thousand lucky individuals that are housed and employed to give one dollar then I can purchase a used motorhome, put it in an inexpensive rv park so that I can have a base of operations from which to take showers on a daily basis, eat hot food and have an address to put on job applications. I could find some form of professional assistance either city/state/federal to deal with the PTSD for the long term.
There is help available.
And just to ease the voices in your head, I have not had a drink of alcohol or any hard drugs since 1982. I have used marijuana on a irregular basis off and on my whole life, I'll see what the PTSD treatment brings regarding that issue.
Honesty, what a concept.
Well if you have read this far, please, if you can afford it, click the paypal button and just one dollar is all I ask.
Thank You,
Joe

Money for rent

Posted by deadman on 2012-01-24 00:58:26

I am dying of cancer(stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to my bones). The doctors have told me I could die as soon as December of 2012.The treatment I have been getting for a year(chemical castration) has stopped working as normally happens. My PSA is starting to go up again. The doctors will only be able to give me palliative care-drugs for pain and then chemo and radiation only to relieve severe bone pain.I am 58 and have been staying at a homeless shelter for five months now, waiting for these people to help me get housing. The environment here is not good for somebody with my health problems.Because it is a mixed shelter, the noise level is constant and very high from screaming and crying kids and their mothers yelling at them.Also.because I am not a veteran,I feel my case is being put on the back burner because there is a big push to get all the veterans on the street housed because of all the federal money coming to the shelters for that purpose.Don't get me wrong-the vets have earned priority because of their sacrifices.I would just like to get enough rent money to spend my last months in a more peaceful place.By the way,I probably got the prostate cancer from being exposed to cadmium every working day in my first job in California from 1973 to 1976.I am in the Los Angeles area.

Disabled over 3 years seeking help with housing and transportation

Posted by CyberNeedy on 2011-12-27 01:58:03

Thank you for even reading this because if you have then you are seeking to help people in need and you must have a wonderful heart. I have in recent years reached out to orphaned children in both Uganda and Mexico who needed me so I have no problems with asking for some help myself at this time.

After 3 years of back and forth with Social Security, I finally was approved for federal disability. Thankfully, I can move forward with testing and treatments to figure out what is causing the multiple symptoms disabling me. My sole desire is to get well enough to return to work in at least some capacity. Now I have some savings from back disability owed but not quite enough to finally purchase my own home. I am looking to purchase a modest home that is manageable for me in my condition. One that is safe and secure for me and my toy poodle who deserves something nice. Although I have enough for a decent down payment, my credit has suffered due to my inability to work. My medical bills went straight to my credit report as being unpaid while I waited for SSDI approval and Medicare approval. My credit score is below 600 and I cannot get a loan. I have $20,000 I can put toward my very first home ever. My goal is to get my $20,000 matched in order for me to purchase a small home/condo for approximately $40,000. My income is $955/mo and I still need to find suitable transportation also. My last vehicle was basically stolen by a predatory towing service and I was incapacitated at the time due to my disability and later was unable to afford retrieving the vehicle because of outrageous storage fees. Currently family members are taking me everywhere which can sometimes be more difficult than helpful. I A modest reliable vehicle is what I need. My individual goal is to become self sufficient and self reliant once again...get healthy and go back to work. Any help with the above items would be much appreciated. If I were in a better position I believe I too would be searching to help those in similar situations as mine.

982.07 to go back to school

Posted by mama_meya on 2011-12-20 09:58:21

My name is Meya Acuna and I am writing you in hopes that you can (or lead me to someone who can help) help bring a Christmas miracle to pass! I am really putting my faith out here because this is something that I've never done before, but am in desperate need. I am a 30 yr old stay-at-home mother to a 4 yr old and 22 month old and am 5 months pregnant. Having turned 30 I have had a revelation that I am in need of continuing my education to not only help my family financially but to be an inspiration to my children who will one day wonder why I did not live my dreams and get a degree in education.

Over 10 yrs ago I began on the right track attending TCU for a semester but with no funds saved up for college it was soon apparent that I would not be able to finish. Much to my despair, I left Ft. Worth and began living out of my hurt by getting into drugs, lascivious living and just keeping bad company. It wasn't until I met my husband, a PK (or preacher's kid), that I realized what I was missing and that I did have hope and didn't have to carry around the shame and anger at not being able to finish school. I stayed home and worked while he got to go out and travel the world in a Christian band, living his dream while I helped to support us and when he got off the road we decided to begin a family. Well no one told us how hard that would be especially financially and I soon left work to take care of my children because the cost of daycare was too much for us (almost 1200 for the two of them!). My husband lost his job earlier this year due to a bad truck accident that left him needing two surgeries and us on public assistance. But we moved to Seguin and he was able to start work at TPS thank God. It doesnt pay all our bills but we are so thankful! We also moved back here to begin work on a ministry with a focus on our youth. We are big volunteers at our church, always making ourselves available to what needs to be done for not only our families but our community. Most recently we've assisted with our youth at the Daddy/Daughter Dance sponsered by the SPD and the Blue Santa wrapping days. It has been hard on just one income and in the past 2 years we have moved 5 times with our children finally settling in Seguin. I am from Austin and had never lived in a real community of people before. I love it here! Everyone speaks to everyone and it is not so rushed. I'm in awe of how a community is supposed to be! Parades, Holiday Strolls, wow!

This past two weeks we have done things we have never had to do before like seek help from Community Council and Salvation Army for utility assistance and visit the EATS food pantry. I'm thankful they were there but I just never thought in a million years I'd be needing those types of services. This is also what pushed me to go back to school. I need to do something bigger than me to feel that I've accomplished a legacy for my children. I won't let them suffer worry and fear the way we have recently. But I need help.

I'm pleading with you to please help me pay $982.07 to Texas Christian University before January 1st for a Loan that I owe. If I pay this loan off by then I will be free to attend a university with Federal funds to attend classes and began pursuing my Associates Degree in Early Childhood and ultimately a Bachelors in Education. I plan on getting a teaching certification and giving back to the community that helped me by working in a low-income school here and sharing my story through hard work that people helping people can make a difference in someone's life. Again, I'm not asking you for money for me or my family or Christmas presents or any "thing". I am looking to pay directly to TCU in Ft. Worth. None of the funds would go to me. I trust that what we need as a family my God will supply, because He has kept us this long and it's only going to get better. Please be a part of this transition out of a dry place into abundance. I'm humbling myself today by doing this and I trust that if you can or know someone who can, you will help me. Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to sharing a good report!

Angela Adams and her 15 kids, please donate $5.

Posted by daddeo01905 on 2011-12-17 01:58:29

Angela Adams was in the news recently for saying that 'SOMEONE'S GONNA PAY FOR ME & MY KIDS'

I think everybody should just sent her some money, rather than judging her. I would like to get one million people to donate $5 each, so that she can have 5 million dollars to take care of her kids. The cyberbeg is for her and her kids.

She might be irresponsible, and inarticulate but she needs to raise the kids. Hating on her is bullshit.

Look, GE pays no taxes, no federal taxes, no state taxes, 'earned $14.2 billion in profits in 2010,...In fact, GE got a $3.2 billion tax benefit.' (http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oG7lxGM.xOpxQA71BXNyoA?p=GE+pays+no+taxes+scamming+the+system&fr2=sb-top&fr=yfp-t-701&type_param=). In fact, GE got a $3.2 billion tax benefit.' A tax benefits also known as corporate welfare. The CEO of GE works with President Obama. Ge is exporting jobs out of the US, and has it's money outside of the US. But no public outrage about this.

Why do people have less outrage for GE's irresponsible to pay taxes, and more outrage for a women trying to raise 15 kids?

Stop being a corporate ass kisser, and help the woman raise the 15 kids.

My Screwed up life

Posted by Doesitmatter89 on 2011-10-23 10:58:49

Here goes nothing,

My life went to hell in a hand basket on June 3rd, when my wife left me, I had know her two years prior to getting married and lived with her for 8 months, then on may 26th I found out she was a heroin junky, I had no idea she had no marks on her arms or anything I walked in on her preparing to shoot up, then I frantically did research on how I can help her, on June 3rd she was no where to be found when I arrived home from work, I searched all day until she finally texts me and says she is leaving cause I am crazy, she stole 500 from me after punching me in the face, it took everything within ne. As a combat veteran not to go ballistic, I served in OEF 09-10, the military is screwing me around with time and resources are Shitty to get this divorce oh yea by the way I have to pay her 700 a month on top of my bills cause that is federal law I need help for the court costs and filing fees cause I can't afford a lawyer and JAG is useless, and I'm falling behind on the electric bill. Cause my old roomate screwed me over, rather than a hand out is like a Damn good job whenever I am out between next march or June but money is welcome, you can give a man a fish he can eat for a day, teach him how he can eat for a life time

I seek a loan. This is probably an unusual request on this site, but I have poor credit and am unable to use the conventional loan sources.

My Family is Homeless

My husband, two kids and I have been forced to move in with my parents due to unemployment. My husband was layed off, I went back to school (federal funding) to make myself more employable - there just aren't any jobs in the area. I did the math, and it averages out to about 50 people fighting for every job in the local area. It's impossible. We keep trying, but somebody else always gets it. My husband, daughter and I live in the same room as the washer and dryer, my son has his own room and thank God that worked out the way it did because before that all 4 of us were squeezed in here. We just want to get out of here. We know that if we can find the money to get upstate, his cousin has a job for him and we can get back on our feet. All we need is a little help - it wouldn't have to be a lot. We have nothing. I know that there are a few good people out there that will read this and give just a little to help, and that it will be enough. I want to thank you in advance for your time, and may God bless you.

Help to pay for son's tuition

Posted by humbled on 2011-10-03 17:58:01

My son just started freshman year at college and he is looking forward to being the first generation in both sides of our family to graduate college with a degree. He is doing very well so far. My husband and I work full time, however, we are struggling to make his tuition and room/board payments each month. We will do all we can to make his dream (and our dream for him)of graduating from college in four years, including taking on part-time jobs where we can. It hurts to be told we don't qualify for state or federal grants because our income disqualifies us from receiving any.

We are looking for help to cover at least this semester's balance of $5693.00. With this help, we can have some breathing room to be able to start saving up for next semester's fees and into the next four years.

Whatever you can assist us with would be received with our most sincere appreciation and thank you so much in advance. We will pay it forward when the time comes.
