I am a very confident lady of 30, I have been supporting and teaching myself how to live unsupported on my own for half my life,I started life well living on a farm in the country side with my Mum and Sister, then my mum meet her future husband and my step father, we didn't get on and soon he marked his authority, he would deprive me of food and call me sleighs of names when my mum wasn't around, then it got to the point that my mum would support his actions, he turned vilolant in the end and I moved out at 17....I felt strong but didn't know what was really instore, I had to work hard to make ends meet and have made a few errors along the way, however I am proud to say I've done ok, I am about £5000 in debt maybe a little more, I know there would seem to be nothing to be proud of, but some of my friends with supportive family have alot more debt over 15 years, it has come to the point in my life where I beg that someone out there who has some spare money will help me out, I'm tired of struggling to pay off my debts and missing out on life because of it, I cannot afford to eat at all at the moment and my rent is late :(.....I believe I am an Investment into the future as once my debts are paid and I am freeto start again I will have great protienal and experience to make money and use it wisely even to the point that one day I myself will be in a position to help others .If you would like to make any footprint on my future I beg you to donate to me via paypal. Kindest regards Friend x

I want to treat my mom to a great vacation (Sonoma vineyards)

Posted by angiemthomas on 2012-04-22 20:58:58

I am not asking for much and this is not an emergency.
My mom is a poor single lady with health problems living in the midwest. She never gets to do anything or go anywhere. She is a sweetie and goes to church. She recently lost a bunch of weight with diet, exercise, and hard work and was able to go off all her diabetes and blood pressure meds!

This coming August 2012, I would like to fly her out here near me (San Francisco) and give her a week of vacation where she does not have to spend a dime, as she has no money. She lives on a farm with nothing around. She has never been to the San Francisco or Sonoma area.

As for me, I am a single young lady here in SF and I work in I.T. for a living but only have enough to pay my rent (i live alone and support myself) and electricity and food. Nothing more.

I would like to bring my mom to the Napa/Sonoma vineyards on a wine tour. Maybe the wine train tour? Also to Fishermans' Wharf and do all the touristy things. Also a brunch cruise. The Aquarium. California Academy of Sciences. Ripley's Wax Museum. Fine Dining, a concert (maybe Yanni). And I dont know what else.

Plus, her airfare ($500) to get here and back.

This is a dream that I want to fulfill with my mom. You never know how long you are going to have your mom around, and I want to make this vacation spectacular for her! Nothing I want to do with my mom is all that expensive. But I want it to be MEANINGFUL, heartfelt, and a trip she wont forget.

(I originally wanted to give her a trip to Hawaii, but there is no way I can afford that.)

This is no emergency. I do not want to compete with the people out there needing heart surgery. This is just a vacation with my mom.
But you never know unless you have the courage to ask, right?
Any amount will help. I'm going to put every penny into a Chase Savings account and save until August when Mom gets here for a week of vacation; August is also my birthday. (if we can afford it).

If you contribute to this, I will send you all kinds of photos from mine and my momma's vacation in August!!

Losing farm

Posted by reagolen on 2012-04-22 09:58:31

I have used all of my retirement funds, I have no family to help us. We need money to buyout the lease/land contract to save this farm. We have until June and then we will loose everything.

Since living here we have boarded senior/retired/special needs horses to give them a place to live out their lives with the special care they deserve.

We also kennel dogs and have helped dogs be rehabbed for rescues, I also have boarded dogs for people who have lost their homes till they could find a place to live.

I have a fourteen year old daughter and I am a single mother, this is my dream, to help animals and people and to live on a farm. I need help, I know no one in the position to help us.

My daughter and I have sacrificed everything to make this place work, we've even gone without food at times.

If we loose this place we have nowhere to go and nowhere to take our animals. If we were able to buy it because of the circumstances our monthly payment would be a lot less and we could be able to maintain the farm and keep helping people and animals.

We have horses here now that would not survive anywhere else, it's breaking my heart. If you can help God bless you.

Its almost the end

REQUEST FOR LIFE

Posted by pally on 2012-04-14 21:58:03

Dear Sir/Madam
Greetings, Me and my family are farmers located in one of the most remote and rugged regions of Himalayas in India where there are no access to roads or transportations. Our home and fields are situated over the mountain approx. 3500 feet above sea level where the weather is unpredictable which makes farming very hard and life unbearable. All the farm work is done manually by hand by the members of my family. We normally grow garlic in small quantities which we sell to sustain the family for a whole year. As there are no access to roads we have to carry the loads on our backs at times 50 to 80 KG to access the nearest road which is couple of hours down the mountain and is a back breaking process. Even to get small food items we have to be going through this exercise everyday for our survival. Our everyday diet consist of five or six rotis (wheat flour and water mixed and roasted like a pancake) with mostly dal (gravy made out of pulse) with occasional rice two times a day. At times we collect wild vegetables from nearby forest to supplement our diet. Because of lack of nutrition our health conditions also suffer many times in a year. Here even today babies are born in the house. Birth is supervised by one of the older village woman as there are no doctors or any qualified medical people. In cases of emergency we have to carry the patient on our back to the road and any medical attention can be gotten 15 kms further down the road. This has resulted in many deaths in past years with young and old.
Since last two years due to changing weather conditions and untimely rainfall our fields could not yield crops properly. We are poor farmers just scrapping through life trying to stay alive. Added to these problems last year three of my family members one of whom is a six month old baby had deteriorating health conditions which needed hospitalisation and medicines which cost us major portion of the money we could earn by selling our crop. Normally we earn about 50,000 INR in a year by selling garlic and we grow small quantities of wheat and corn enough to keep the family through the year. Due to these sufferings and extra expenditure am now in great distress to be even able to buy seeds to grow crop in our field to sustain ourselves. To have one morsel of food has become a nightmare for all of us and we are nine members in the family with two small babies of 8 months and two years. The future of our survival looks very bleak given the conditions and lack of health and finance to tend the field.
I would be highly grateful if your goodselves would consider me and my family a worthy cause to extend your help to us with 5000 USD which I can use to buy necessary seeds for the crops, few essential medications, a mule for transportation, fix the leaking roof of our home, do little maintenance to our field for yielding more crop and get me, my family andour field back on track as our field is the only source of our survival. My family consist of myself, my sick wife, two sons and two daughters, 2 small babies and a daughter in law. I can provide you with my family snap, address and bank account details upon your heart permitting to help me as whatever I have stated above is genuine and true. Me and my family are seeking this help not because we are lazy but because of protracted and extreme conditions beyond our control which we have been facing since two years continuously under the circumstances outlined above. We need a helping hand to get back on our feet again as your generosity would go a long way in alleviating the sufferings of my family and bring life back into our lives.
Awaiting your kindness and response.
Warm Regards

Negi

I developed perhaps the ultimate in 'sustainability' based perma culture farming with almost no tilling required here in Oregon. I am not big on all the sustainability jargon but what I have done is created a kind of natural farm factory that I would like to see reproduced on a larger level. It produces high carbohydrate value food with almost no irregation although some was required to get it started and revolves around an ancient plant speices friend of man-kind the Chestnut Tree. Believe it or not chestnut trees can produce upto 2,000 lbs each of nuts a year if spaced at least 40 feet apart. There is a story and a book on how to do what has been discovered here on a small farm at a very much larger and perhaps international basis. The economy and use of the Chestnut is a bit of a harder sell than wheat , rice or corn. It is the lowest fat tree nut in existence. It is also glutten free. The farm still has nuts for sale from last year thanks to their being no organized major distribution network for our product like other basic crops and growing competition (all good for the long run) Money or new land to develop in the Pacfic Northwest is sought after. We have many nuts to plant and many seedlings ready to transplant and we have other types of plants that play a role in the development. Inexpensive cleared land that needs to be replanted in the Northwest is sought after for this purpose. Land that is inexpensive and not suitable for vinyards or other uses other than slow timber growth would be perfect but at an affordible price please if possible. The amazing thing about chestnut trees is their tap roots can allow them to self irregate in places where it seems there is no water to resourse at all at the surface. donations accepted as well as land donations/ participation. Chestnut trees also have value as wood and timber as a hard wood. In some areas once timber is cut down in the Northwest most of the value of the land is gone which would be a perfect time for us to go in and buy iti to reforest it with an eye to new permaculture farming. please help if you can.

In need of furniture for new apartment

Posted by Ulquiorra on 2012-03-21 16:58:28

My name is Alec, and I am an 18 year old male moving into an apartment on my uncle's NH farm-house's property.

I have no bed, no chairs, no table, or anything else for that matter, furniture wise and most unfortunately no money.

I am currently sleeping on a blow-up mattress that deflates while I sleep so I am laying on the floor when I wake up.

What I am hoping to find is:

A bed (bedding would be nice too)
A small/medium sized desk/table
A chair (or two)
Some pots and pans to cook with
Some paper plates/bowls and plastic utensils
A desk lamp
A floor lamp
anything at all is greatly appreciated

If you have any of these items and are willing to let me have them please contact me on my cellphone at 1(781)789-1983 (Call or Text).

I am currently located in Center Barnstead, NH (approx. 20miles from Concord and Rochester and approx. 40miles from Laconia) and am willing to come to you to pick up anything you're willing to part with that I can use (distance dependant).

I would like to thank you all in advance for your generosity

Hello Everyone, I'm a 24 year young lady living in New Zealand with my partner of one year.

I have some grand travel plans. New Zealand being a small country I know there is such a wide world to explore.

I don't have a sob story to tell you as everyone in life is fighting their own battles, some bigger than others, some may seem more important than others.

I do work full time and try and save as much as I can whilst also paying off my $18,000 worth of debt (Car, Lawyers, Seperation fees etc) and being on one income, my partners role was made redundent so he is currently unemployed :(. So far my travel account has $330, nearly enough for a air fair to Australia one way.

I have a wild passion for travel, when I was married I was very held back by my husband but now I'm free, have grown so personally and wish to explore this whole world. EAT PRAY LOVE is such a inspirational movie!! I'm already selling what I can with Garage sales, working extra cash jobs, watering plants, house sitting etc to try and save faster.

I wish to travel to

Australia - Espically the Gold Coast, take my partner to all the theme parks.

I would love to explore the out back and rough it for a few nights

USA - I would love to travel LA to NY along route 66. I would love to go to Texas, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm and more. My dream job a Rollarcoaster Tester!! Travel the world playing on rollarcoasters. I'm no boring chick, I like adventure and just wish to explore this world.... oh and defintitly want to chase a tornado in America.

Would also love to go to Egypt, Italy, Rome, Thailand. I'm ready to pack up and go. Happy to work when I get to these countries to help my self around.

Im just asking anyone who has kindness in their hearts to help my partner and I, go exploing in this wide world...

PS- If this helps my chances, my partner doesnt believe this will work, (he is a worry wort, I'm the free spirit / universe believer) he made me a deal, if I get at least $500 he will run nudey down the road!! Haha I shook on it and now he is worried.

If you would like to help a young Kiwi Couple out then please donate to us, what ever you can.

Financial help for this hard working family

Posted by kworsham74 on 2012-01-25 10:58:23

My husband and I live on a small family farm with our 2 lovely girls. We not only run the farm, but we both work full-time outside the home. We have been through a lot in our 9 yrs of marriage. Here is a short version of what we have gone through since 2003. When we got married my husband found out he had cancer. He lost his job because of it and we had to move in with family for 6 months till we found a home. Later on, I lost my job and we had to move in with other family members till we found another home. We family were able to put a home on the family farm that we run and we have been there for 7 yrs now. An uncle was about to lose his home, so we helped him out. Now we are very financially strapped. It seems when things are going well, BAM! We get slapped down. With all our misfortunes we have cleared out our savings and paying off our credit cards (which are cut up) and medical bills. We have also put a hold on having anymore kids because we just can't afford it. We would love at least 1 more, but right now that is impossible. My husband really deserves the help because he works so hard for all that he has gone through. Last winter he was helping family and friends out so much that he got pneumonia and almost had to be hospitalized. We don't live a life of luxury and never really take vacations. All our money goes to bills and food. I have been collecting cans to help pay for groceries, I use coupons and all our change goes into a jar. I have also sold some of my Breyer horse collection and coin collection to pay some bills. I was going to donate my eggs for some money, but I am over 30 yrs old so I can't. We are not on any kind of assistance so everything we pay for comes out of our pocket. It breaks my heart to hear our girls talk about their friends going to these fun places like The Great Wolf Lodge and the beach for the weekend because I know we can't afford it. My husband gets after me because all the gift cards that I get for the holidays I save and buys presents for the girls on their birthdays. Sometimes it's the only way to get them things. Our debt is almost $10,000 and every month I do try to pay extra on at least one. I can hardly sleep because I am so worried about our finances and I have become depressed because of it. My goal is to get out of this debt, give the girls some great family memories and hopefully have 1 more child. This "beg" is mainly for my husband and child becuase they deserve the best! Donations of any kind would be appreciated. Thank you so much and God Bless.

Lost My Home Need Financial Help To Take Care of Elderly Mother.

Posted by MidnightRabbit on 2012-01-23 21:58:47

My 78 year old mother got into a Contract with a real estate Scammer on Craigslist and I had to spend my life savings to get her out of it. Ive been taking care of her since '96 when her husband died and she had a stroke. We had to sell our home in 2011 to pay off bills that she had racked up. We now stay in a 7 x 12 trailer on a friends farm and i can not seem to find a job that will hire me as I can only work part time because mom needs a full time care taker. I need money to buy a house or trailer before we get kicked out, my friend is getting tired of us please help financially.

Pregnant dog rescuer needs your help

Posted by Laurisa77 on 2012-01-10 11:58:29

I recently discovered I am pregnant with my first child and am overwhelmed. I am excited about the idea of becoming a mother and know that I will be a good parent. I am educated, hard working and love children.

I have been a dog rescuer for over 10 years, working as a foster parent for my local humane society. This is 100% a volunteer position that I donate a lot of my time, energy and resources to. In the past 10 years I have rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed over 300 dogs and puppies.

I do have a full-time job to pay my bills. I am a hard worker and have been at my current job for 6 years. However, due to the economy in my area, my income recently took a sharp nosedive. I am looking for additional work to supplement my income and/or a different full-time job (that is not commission based).

Unfortunately, my bills are now behind and my home is in foreclosure. I own a small farm in the country and have a great set-up for the foster work that I do and a great place to raise a child. Rentals in our area tend to be higher than what my mortgage payment is now ($550), so moving wouldn't be a better move for me financially. I am currently 3 payments behind.

With cold weather here now, my electric bill has spiked and is now averaging about $195 a month (most months it is only about $85-$90).

I own my vehicle outright, but it's older and seems to be in need of more and more repairs. Right now I am in debt to my mechanic $165 for brake work he did 2 weeks ago. It's an older SUV and a gas guzzler.

I do not live a fancy lifestyle, by any means. I do not have cable tv, high-speed internet, new clothes or shoes, expensive purses or designer sunglasses. I live a very modest and healthy life and do not believe in waste. I'm not a drinker, not a smoker and do not use drugs of any kind.

The humane society foots in the bill on all of the foster-dog related expenses (vet care, food, toys, etc.), so I have no money going out towards that. I have cut back on the number of dogs that I foster, from 2-3 at a time to just 1. I am a responsible foster parent and in no way a hoarder.

I intend to continue fostering up until I have the baby (due date is August 15th). I get so much personal fulfillment out of rescue work and I know will miss it when the baby comes. However, I know that I will want to focus 100% on my child and being the best mom I can be.

I have always been a big believer in paying it forward to the greater good. I'm hoping that this plea will reach someone out there who is currently in a comfortable financial position and willing to assist someone who is not.

I can, and will, provide proof of any of the facts I stated above, including a letter from my employer, a letter from the humane society director, copies of my utility bills, mortgage bill, etc., upon request.

Mum wants help please...

Posted by 11barbaraellen on 2012-01-07 20:58:16

I am a solo mum with my invalid 81 year old father and 2 teenage boys at home. I work 2 jobs to keep us. My son will be 17years old in 3 weeks and he wants to work. He is in his final year at school, year 12. When finished year 12 in 2012 he wants to be our family's third generation farmer. Our family for 2 generations have worked and lived on the land for farm owners. Helping out on other peoples farms for all of his 17 years he has a wealth of knowledge and experience far beyond his years. I am not financial enough to feed us every night let alone give him any assistance for a bright albeit a hard working future. We live in Queensland in an area where most of the casual farm work is already taken. Please, we do not have any family who can help us out with a job let alone a dream. A little help from a lot of people can help get my sons future off the ground to run and own his own farm.Having his own farm has been the only job he has ever wanted. He has 2 willing workers in myself and his brother to get things started. There is also a lot of his peers who also have grown up in this farming district, youth who are willing and able to work along side of him. The alternative is they too will be out of work by the end of this year. We need what to us is an enormous amount of money, around $750,000.00 to purchase an existing Lucerne farm.He wants to be innovative and extend the Lucerne producing farm into a mixed business, Lucerne and old fashion calf rearing. There are no existing farms of this type in the area. There are many Lucerne farms locally but no calf rearing farms. We have done our homework, calf rearing is very viable. The Northern Territory runs successful calf rearing farms. This is also an area we are comfortable in. For extra pocket money it is what we have done in the past when we have been allowed to use the owners property. Please help me buy my boys a job and more importantly a very Australian future on the land.

FOSTER MOM NEEDS FRONT TEETH

Hi ,
we are just an average family who try to help one or two kids a year, this year we were blessed t

o be helping a great five year old girl who was extremely sexually abused by her family. She fits in great on our farm and is making alot of progress, at Thanksgiving my front bridge broke and now I am missing my three front teeth- it is becoming very difficult to advocate and speak with therapists and lawyers and judges, as this seems to be the focus and not what I am saying. I was denied by our insurance for a new bridge so I am begging for any and all help.Thank you.
I'M 57 years of age a wartime veteran who served the 6 year commitment honorable 1972-1976 plus w/2yrs reserve. Started work on a farm as boy in the late 50's. My parents like most Americans were rural working class poor. At 8 years of age I got a T.V. Guide route, then later a newspaper route. Worked while going through High School and have the Social security report to prove it.

Out of the past over 15 years in Florida more that 10 of those years have been incomeless unemployed! In my working career I have also started two small businesses plus have looked during this long period of no income to take a risk doing something. It has not happened and now I am broke. Also finding out that the number people needing jobs or income verses the opportunities needed have a huge gap of dispairity.

I live in Palm Bay/Melbourne Florida area if anyone can help in any way please contact me at mulabate@yahoo.com Thank you, Vietnam Vet

Help us help kids...

My wife and I are struggling to open our home to at risk kids. We wanted to buy a small, working farm to help children with Developmental disabilities transition to helping themselves by hands on therapy and life skills.... Unfortuantely, our government, The United States, doesn't see a purpose or need for such a place and keeps denying grants and help... My wife is an occcupational therapist and I am a certified chef. We opened our home to an at risk young woman last year and have been rewarded with the leaps and bouds she has made developmentally... We want to help others with thier special needs, but cannot do it on our own. If you have it in your hearts, please donate what you can... You'd be amazed what an extra $5.00 could do..

Posted by achoco51 on 2011-11-11 13:58:08

Looking for help to start a business donating (fruits and Vegatable) to the homeless. Several years ago I inheritated a nice piece of farm land. I noticed all the people off work and the homelessness in our country and came up with an ideal to plant and give away the majoritey crop to families in need. About a quarter of 2-5 year olds and one-third of school-age children (including adolescents) are overweight or obese in the U.S. I'm hoping and praying for a miracle. I need farm equipment to get me started. The housing and homelessness crisis in the United States has worsened over the past two years, particularly due to the current economic and foreclosure crises. By some estimates, more than 311,000 tenants nationwide have been evicted from homes this year after lenders took over the properties. People being evicted from foreclosed properties and the economic crisis in general have contributed to the growing homeless population. As more people fall into homelessness, local service providers are seeing an increase in the demand for services. My goal is to donate my growing vegatables to homeless shelter and schools. (Please help me help the starving people)

help me and my mentally ill child buy a car

A year ago I was made redundant, leaving me with debts and my son of 13 to cope alone. I was unable to get a full time job due to my commitment to my son and helping him with school,as he is autistic and has adhd, I get very little help for him and have always coped alone. But in order to pay some of my debts and keep food on the table, I had to sell my car 6 months ago. my son is now settled in a new placement but we still have large debts and I am unable to travel with him as his placement is on a farm, this means we have to pay for taxi's as no buses go there, the education dept are making it difficult for us to afford this and it would work our cheaper for me to buy a car and take him, I know this would be less stressful for him and we are not asking for a expensive car, a small second hand one would be so helpful and so appreciated by us both.

need money to help my farm

Hi my husband 2 young girls (1 and 3) and I live on a small farm. We only have this small farm for our income and for 3 years we have been living off of the 1000 dollars a year that this small farm makes and that before bills. anyway this year with gas prices it is just not enough to keep us going. so I am asking for help on here. Even a buck would help. We want to expand our farm and add pigs and maybe dairy cattle but we don't have the money for it. We would love to buy the house next door and get out of the house we are in. It is about 150 years old and the kitchen floor has holes in it and there is no insulation in the walls. I hope some one out there can help us please.

Help my family to survive

Hi, guys!

Straight said, I am feeling that with those words, my last chance to save my worlds is slipping between my fingers. And I tremble, because the feeling is so crushing. I am a fan of the positive thinking, I think that all can get better If you are positive, but don’t know if this time the things will work out so easily. I am almost 21 years old, and I had my good and my bad moments. I have a great brother btw, a really great brother, who unfortunately used to spare the bad moments, regardless my wish to be otherwise. I also have great parents, really good people with only desire to live normal life, and to give both me and my brother some good start in life. Unfortunately not every plan and dream in this world is as easy to accomplish as it is to be said. My mother and my father risked much, to start a new business when the whole country was in poor situation. And this business wasted for 20 years, until now. We have a farm and cows, not the prettiest business out there, but it is our and we love it the way it is. We are town people, but that doesn’t matter, because my parents really knows much about how to breed cows, and they give their best when it comes to that. We help them as we can, I’ve tried my best to make this business better, and easier for my parents. But what can I say, there are times in life, when your endless hard work doesn’t matter in the end, when the luck abandons you, when the faith is difficult to oppose to. And that time is now, in the second half of 2011 I am sure that If I don’t make any wonder, we may lose our business, our home, and most troubling – we may lose our happiness, even if it’s uncommon these days one family to be united and happy.

As I said – my parents made hard decision, to risk and work hard in order to rise us well, instead to work for someone else and barely survive. But this kind of things requires finances, and the only finances were credits from banks. They’ve pledged our possessions and our home, to guarantee the credits and with pain, and unsatisfying feeling in my heart I must admit that we are about to lose our home and our way of life, if I don’t work out something, very, very quickly.

I am working now, on two jobs, and if I am lucky enough, I work only 12-14 hours per day, six-seven days per week. Not the best thing in the world, you can be sure in that, but I feel that I must do my best to save our home. And still, with two works, with my parents working too in what remained from our business, I am still 800$ monthly behind my credit bills. Not the best situation to be in… but… I still keep fighting, as do my parents too. And I need to do that for six months more, because after that I will have a chance, and a good one, to keep my home after all. And still that are six months in which I am 800$ behind the bills, and that means that I could lost my hope in only month time from now. Most people in my place would assume that they lost what they’ve had, that they’ve lost their home, that they’ve lost every hope. I am not such kind of guy. I may not the greatest man in the planet, true, but I don’t intend to surrender until the surest end.

The only thing that can save me and my family now is I to find more money to pay in time every month. With all the shame in the world, I must ask for those money from you. I know that most of you would have problems in you lives, some will be similar to mine. I’ve been generous in all my 21 years of life, I’ve made my best to help the others, to make the world better. Now I need the help of others, to help me to rebuild my life again, and save my family from the disaster that this thing could turn if I don’t find a solution. So I ask you, with all my heart, and all my shame, please help me with some money. They could be even only 1$ from person, they may be 5$ or 10$, no matter how much, but if enough people spare from their hearts and help me with that, maybe I will succeed and fulfill my most sacred dream – to save my family and my home. And don’t ask God for fame, for glory, for mountains of money. I ask him, and you, to help me, for I cannot help myself now. I know the price of my happiness – it’s 4800$. That’s the amount that I’ll need to find, to save my world. I know this is a long post, I know that you maybe heard hundreds, if not thousands, similar stories for people struggles in life. And this story is one of them I think, but in same time is different – different because I still can make something for things to get normal, somehow. And I need you and your kindness. So, please, I beg you – help me. I beg you with last of my hope, you are my last chance to survive this.
