Single Mom Needs Help With Dental Bills

Posted by helpmybabygirl on 2012-04-30 20:58:05

I am 22 years old and have a 7 month old daughter and am working part time at Walmart. I get on average $600. a month in salary. I have had to have extensive dental work done which has cost over $4,000. I had to put this amount on a CareCredit card and don't make enough to even make the minimum payment due on my dental bill by the time I pay all my other bills, gas for the truck and diapers and stuff for my child. I am ineligible for welfare benefits, I do receive food stamps which helps buy my baby formula and food.

I am just trying to get this bill paid off. I work hard and love my job and have a dream of being a singer. I love to sing. I love my baby girl. This past year has been very hard because I've had to move to another town and start from scratch with my baby. I do not own a vehicle but am currently able to drive my grandparents truck. I want to be independent and take care of my child and my bills. That is my goal to be debt free. If you can find it in your heart to help me out even a little bit I would be most grateful
and will pray that God will bless you in your life.

Thank You

Macie & babygirl

hello:)... i feel very awkward attempting to explain just how serious and overwhelming my families situation is right now...i have always been there and helped in anyway that i was able to with family, friends, and strangers. i spent most of my life making sure that the ones around me were atleast happy, hopefully healthy, and especially loved.. Now i have a baby boy of my own, i am a single mother, and i want to provide MY son with the best possible opportunities in his life... i want to experience life with him...to see his accomplishments,to laugh with him,and to always let him know he is safe..... however- like many individuals, i am having many setbacks. unfortunately some of these issues are pretty serious:( i have severe dental problems:i have since i was a child, and never had the $ to take care of it. it has reached a point that it is life threatening if i do not somehow find a "miracle"...if my lack of money ends up shortening my sons life experiences with me, i will never forgive myself. i have to have extensive surgeries...mainly what i am praying for assistance for at the moment is any type of kind heartedness and understanding....i have to find a way to afford dental implantation and reconstruction of my entire mouth:(:(...it is soo embarrassing....but above that....extremely painful every day...it hinders my time with my son, aswell as finding a good job to support him....i cant smile anymore....not because i dont want to,but because it hurts:(. if u decide to read this lengthly post, and you have it in your means to help us in anyway, then u are an amazing and deeply appreciated individual...even if you are unable to help us at this time....i appreciate the time you took from yourself to read my words. *Bless YOU*

Erin Gamblin Fund

We are starting a fund to help Little Erin. She was diagnosed with Alobar Holoprosencephaly. It is a severe brain abnormality and studies have shown that only 3% of these little angels survive after birth. What happens is the brain doesn’t separate right and if Erin is one of the lucky ones that survives she would be severely handicapped and would need extensive medical care. If you can find it in your hearts to help this family in need it would be greatly appreciated and would not be forgotten. All donations go towards helping with medical expenses and if the unfortunate happens and she doesn’t survive donations will go towards helping the family with sending this Little Angel To Heaven. Thank you and God Bless.

Ex-husband vacations while I prepare to file bankruptcy

Posted by SusieQ1064 on 2012-02-18 15:58:16

After 19+ years of marriage, I divorced just over 1 year ago. My ex-husband & I have 2 children; a high school senior & a college sophomore. During our kids' early years, my ex-husband's salary allowed me to be a stay-at-home mom, which I loved. His employment involved extensive travel & many moves; 8 moves in 19 years. I supported the moves & the job changes, including a failed franchise in which we lost over $150,000. I earn $25,000/year; he earns approximately 6 times more; however, the divorce settlement saddled me with $60,000 of credit card & loan debt. I was emotionally drained, out of money & agreed to the terms. He is 16 years my senior & near retirement. A prenuptial agreement bars me from any of his retirement. He earned the money, and I am not bitter about the retirement aspect. I have stopped paying the credit card & loan payments as rent & car payment are more important. His girlfriend is a wealthy widow with 3 homes & a Lexus. I don't want to file bankruptcy, but I believe that's my only option. I do not have a college degree. I have a good job with good health benefits. I work for the state of WI, have not had a raise in 3+ years and do not see a raise in the near future. I have taken on a 2nd job. I have no need for vacations or material possessions; I do want is to live a life where I am not afraid to answer the phone for fear that caller is a creditor. I would also like to contribute to our children’s college education. I sincerely thank you for your time.

I'm asking for an angel to help in my re-enrollment

Posted by Soleigh on 2012-02-17 00:58:09

I have never asked for help but after numerous interviews extensive hours of submitting my resumes online. My parents who can't help me with my situation do not live in the same state as I do and they are constantly helping me because no matter what I keep trying to feed my children by standing in line at churches for food donations. In November I had to withdrawl from school temporarly because I lost internet connection due to not having money which I was not able to finish my degree in completing 6 credits to graduate. Today I called to re-enroll and I was told that I have to pay $2,400.00 even and then I'm able to re-enroll and finish my two classes to recieve my degree. My parents have helped with my bills but they are not able to help me with my tuition. So I have searched everywhere and now I'm left to ask the public for help. My major is criminal justice and I really want to finish because I'm so close and then just hopefully I will be able to get a job so then I don't have to keep going to charities to get food but rather give back. I already try and give back by giving away things that I no longer need such as clothes that my children outgrow. The suppor I get for my children all goes to my rent which everything else is included which I thank God for that. So please please any donation will help and I promise to give back by paying it forward and those that know me know that I'm just that kind of person who has always given back. Just today I still have yet to find work and I'm so hopeful that once my degree is completed I will be able to find work. Again any type of donation to reach $2,400.00 exact will help me to be re-enrolled back into school. Thank you so very much. GB always!

Please help me fund my dream!

Hello

I recently started up my own opera company and I am looking to fund our inaugural production of Cosi fan tutte. I am seeking funding within the region of $6000 in total but all assistance is most appreciated.
The action has been updated to modern day Italy, we have our whole cast and venue up and ready to go. But the dream will vanish if we cannot get the money behind it.

You can find out more details about the project here:

http://www.pozible.com.au/index.php/archive/index/4727/description/0/0

We have a performance target date of March 18 2012 for the venture which is why we are looking for the money immediately. This is the best date to tie in with our venue, the beautiful Makers Market at Abbotsford.
Funds include costuming and props, set design, hiring chamber orchestra and instruments, publicity, payment of director and music director, buying rights to specific images and creating posters and programmes. The artists, including myself, are NOT making any money from the venture and are giving up their time for free.
I am a highly motivated self-starter with extensive experience in both the practical and administrative side of the arts. In return for your valuable help I am able to assist you to get your own business projects up off the ground in areas such as data entry, copywriting, editing, proofing and the creative process. Or if you are a creative organisation or individual needing a hand, whether it be through performance or administrative matters, I would be happy to help you free of charge.
Additionally, my wonderful troupe of singers can perform at your next corporate functioning or gathering - we will even travel as a special thank you!
This is an exciting new initiative that you and/or your business can get involved in from the ground level. I guarantee that this venture will make money - so if it is difficult for you to get involved as a donor, we can organise a repayment scheme.

I can't tell you how grateful I am. Thank you so much for your time.

Please help me achieve my dream!

unbreak my heart....

Posted by brokenhearted on 2012-01-20 17:58:04

I've decided to try and get help through donations http://www.giveforward.com/unbreakmyheart and funding http://unbreakmyheart2011.blogspot.com/from outside sources since every doctor I've seen in 2 years agree that I need the leads to my ICD (defibrillator) replaced; but shuffle me back to the original doctor and wash their hands of me.

I'm raising funds for ICD replacement surgery, to go see a HOCM specialist (Dr. Craig Asher) at Cleveland Clinic in S. Florida and to have advanced testing through Vanderbilt Autonomic Center in Tennessee.

I don't want to admit I need help; I've always been a strong, independent person who took care of everything and everyone. In August 2009, my whole world changed. After my procedure, I applied for disability and was turned down twice and had to hire an attorney. I went from being "super" mom, wife & friend and care taker of an Autistic son to being the one who had to be taken care of.

So how did I get to the point I have to ask others for help? Shortly before Father's Day 2009, I fell and broke my foot. When it didn't heal, I went to my primary with a broken foot and came out with a broken heart. After the shock wore off from the doctor telling me that I was going to die if I didn't have valve surgery; I started asking questions.

I didn't quite believe him and thought he was over reacting when he told me I was going to die because I walked and ran 3-5 times weekly and even did strenuous yard work. I felt fine and have 4 children aged 9-26 and kept up with them and stayed very active in things they did; but I was a ticking time bomb just waiting for the right time for my heart to stop.

He sent me to several specialists who said I had nothing really wrong, just some mild valve problems associated with aging; which was a huge relief. Everything seemed normal except my EKG's; they showed I had a huge amount of PVC's (premature ventricular contractions) roughly 50,000 “extra” heartbeats daily.

My heart didn't really beat fully; it only quivered like a bowl of jello day in day out. The problem with it beating like this is, the heart becomes very ineffective at pumping and your cardiac output drops and heart muscle damage can occur.

The cardiologist and electrophysiologist I saw did extensive testing and recommended more testing in the hospital. I went in for a sleep study, Tilt table test and EP Study with Ablation. The sleep study revealed I had moderately severe sleep apnea and my oxygen goes from 99% down to 73% at night making it very dangerous for me when I sleep.

The tilt table test was the first inkling that something dangerous was going on inside. I fainted and had no palpable pulse; which is a very rare thing to happen. I was diagnosed with Dysautonomia - Neurocardiogenic Syncope and Orthostatic Intolerance.
I then had an ablation to burn the extra pathways in my heart and get rid of the pvc's I was living with daily. I was told this would be a relatively easy process and given a 95% success rate to get rid of the extra beats completely but it never crossed my mind that anything would happen.

What preliminary tests failed to show, is the pattern and origin of my arrhythmias were in a very dangerous spot to ablate - the RV Apex – in the bottom thin underside of the heart.

During the EP Study, I went into cardiac arrest and my heart stopped completely with no rhythm they could shock (Asystole), some how it started again for a few minutes but then stopped again. They were able to shock me back to normal sinus rhythm and luckily, the third time it stopped; it restarted on it's own so I didn't have to be shocked again.

I was diagnosed with Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia; a very dangerous, life threatening arrhythmia. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days trying to find a cause and to be prepped for an ICD (implantable cardiac defibrillator).

It took a cardiac catherization to finally find the problem and to show I had HOCM (obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) and internal high pressures in my valves.

My regular EP had to go out of town after the first procedure, so his partner had to do the implant; he wasn't as skilled as my regular dr and botched the lead implants.

When they checked the leads the next day before releasing me, they found a problem with the lead placement but the dr said it was "ok" and sent me home. Since then, I've had nothing but problems with the unit and been told by several other EP's I need to have the leads replaced and the ICD could be causing part of my problems.

Doctors think my other problems are related to HOCM (obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) and Autonomic nervous system failure and when I faint, my heart stops briefly causing damage each time this happens.

After the procedure, my body started failing from the damage it sustained the 4 times my heart stopped. My original cardiologist told me I would be in a wheel chair and totally dependent on others for everything by the time I'm 50; which is daunting because in March I'll be 45 and I can't deny the facts - my body is failing.

I was put on 10,000g sodium daily, water/fluid loading, Midodrine (insurance won't cover it $312 - 30 day supply), Propanolol, Pantoprazole, pain meds, suppression hose and binders as well as having to stay supine the majority of the day - which caused my heart failure to worsen and my EF (ejection fraction) to go down.

Nothing the doctor's have tried has helped, I still faint and my heart stops on a daily basis and I never know from one day to the next if something is going to trigger fluid build up and I have an acute attack.

In June 2011 I fainted falling into the side of my tiled tub, lacerating the side of my head in the process, severely sprained my neck and suffered a concussion. After that episode, I became a bit more cautious with every move I make because the dr found declining neurological functioning and mild brain damage; he said any more falls could lead to permanent major brain damage.

With so many previous medical bills and co-pays, I can't afford the 20% co-insurance to have my ICD replaced and Mayo Clinic wants a $5,000 deposit up front even with insurance. My ICD alone is $125,000, leads another $30,000 and then there's the doctor and hospital fees; which I won't know the cost until the procedure is done.

Each heart rhythm specialist and cardiologist I see tell me there is nothing more they can do after going over my history and treatments; I have a long hard fight to go and I have to just be thankful each day I'm alive. Some days I'm really glad I made it through, other days when the problems and pain take over; I wish the dr's had let me die.

I developed PTSD after the procedure, panic disorder and extreme agoraphobia. I went into such a deep depression over my health issues, I was afraid I would never see the lighter side of things again. I finally went to see a psychologist who prescribed Lamictal and diagnosed me with Bi-Polar disorder which has helped greatly but I still struggle on a daily basis.

One day we were just the “normal” every day family and the toughest thing we had to deal with is a child with Autism. Then; our whole lives changed in an instant we were dealing with mounting medical bills, expensive prescriptions, tests, appointments, loss of income and dealing with the possibility of death on a daily basis.

You just never know what the day may bring, so keep those you love close to you and never take one second for granted.
From the bottom of my heart thank you - even if it's support to say hey; I'm here if you need to talk or I know how you're feeling.

Posted by calforniaorbust on 2012-01-01 13:58:09

I have always help my family friends and strangers in need of a place to stay, food, ride, money clothes ect. Well due to a move, divorce from an abuser and surgery, I thought things were looking up when I got my career moving for a non profit senior resident center, then after a year offered a great position in management for a nursing home but this is a rural community and I did my job well. Due to the economic environment I was let go and my old job already replaced me. Im on unemployment. If I can move to a bigger city, like near los angeles (I have a free place to stay) then I will never be without a job. Currently I volunteer my time with hospice and driving seniors to their doctor appts and errands. My car is old but paid for I need auto repairs in the amount of 2,000; dental work 800; Relocation expenses to move to California 6000; and a job masters degree in healthcare in san fernado valley California I have a paypal account or you can send the money directly to the vendors in kind to me. 10 Acres for $8,000 USD

Posted by SchMasHD on 2011-12-21 05:58:53

I am 31 years old with a varied and extensive resume as well as a degree in computer application development (not that that degree is particularly relevant...).
I have found 10 acres of rural land in Alaska.
This land costs $8,000.
I would like to buy the land and build a year round cabin on the property, to live in year round.
I am from a rural background (BC = Before College) and have working knowledge of home building and can gather the required materials from the land and surrounding area for the construction of reliable, comfortable, and sustainable housing. I have done an immense amount of research regarding the accomplishment of my goal (to be independent of today's social requirements) and have formulated a bullet-proof plan to live a comfortable yet remote life away from the hustle and bustle of modern entrapment's and closer to the dream of our ancestors. I am willing to elaborate on my plans regarding the dwelling and the steps I will take to accomplish my goal while sustaining the creature comforts of modern day living.
In addition to my rural upbringing I am also a combat military veteran with working knowledge of para-military and survival tactics.
I have saved enough money to move to the property of my choice from my home state and have also provided for the tools, food, clothing and provisions(including shelter) needed to complete this project, the rest of the requirements of the project will be bought or shipped at or near the building location at my personal expense. I have considered every avenue required to secure financing and have been stopped by my credit alone. Really what matters the most to me is that I will have the opportunity to work for a permanent solution to my financial. social, and economic ills. However, due to my poor credit rating (Thank you 17yr old me) I have been unable to secure financing from "the man" and have been forced to beg of the internet. Please o' please grant me my life... That being said, in addition to the months of preparation I have done, I have secured the willing enlistment of free labor (in the form of an old army buddy) for this project. That being said, with my current financial situation I cannot afford to purchase the land for the cash asking price even though it is 10 acres at a fraction of the price normally requested for that expanse of property. What I am asking for is enough money to purchase the land ($8,000 USD). In return I am willing to spend 2 months every year (during any year) devoted to work for my benefactor for up to 4 consecutive years. Call it hired hand, indentured servitude, slavery, or [insert vague derogatory/demeaning name here]. What matters to me is that if I work my ass off I can be sucessesful. Please O please help me reach my goal. I am at your mercy o awesome and wonderful internet.

Leaky roof

Posted by Tethlis on 2011-11-28 13:58:37

I am trying to get my leaky roof fixed. I work part time for minimum wage. I have been trying to get my employer to put me on full time but they will not. I have looked for a full time job or at least another part time with no luck. The amount of money I make barely pays the bills, after food, mortgage, car loan payments, and utilities; I am usually in the red. My roof leaks to the point that some of my ceiling has rotted and fallen (I have multiple buckets to try and keep the water off the floor). There is extensive water damage and mold (I actually found mushrooms growing out of the floor at the corner of a wall inside my bedroom!). There is a spot in the floor outside the bathroom that is sunken and rotted almost through from water damage from the ceiling. My utility bills are increasing because it is getting colder. I need $6,000 to fix my roof, but any donation would be greatly appreciated. If I can get 1,000 people to donate between $1 and $10 I will be able to get my roof fixed and not have to breath mold anymore (I have asthma also). The mold grows and gives me breathing problems every day and night as it rots the wood in my house, please help if you can. Thanks.

PLEASE HELP ASAP!

My husband (a Pastor) and myself have legal guardianship of two children who would be in a childrens orphanage or foster care had we not made the sacrifice to take them into our home and raise them. Our home is old and small (a trailor) but we felt obligated to give these children an opportunity to have a family lifestyle. We were recently victims of Hurricane Irene and although we were more fortunate than others in that we still have a livable structure; we did sustain extensive damages to our home that we are cannot afford to repair. I am unemployed because I have ongoing health issues and my husband receives a small salary based on what our church is financially able to give which varies from Sunday to Sunday...we own a company (concrete finishing) but business has been very slow due to the economy. Yes, we have tried other local resources and FEMA who can only give us $394.00 which will not pay contractor estimates or travel to our rural area. We have ruled out loans because we are not able to pay back so in essence....we decided to try this avenue and pray for the best. We would be grateful to get a used home or foreclosed home because the repair to our current home is probably more than the market value of it. I do not have a PayPal acct. so e-mail me at zylorian7@gmail.com.

Just got ripped off- they stole my $

Posted by LostMyDeposit on 2011-08-21 18:58:34

I found this ad on ebay for an adorable home near me. I checked out that it really was a house, and for sale. Thinking I had done my due dillagence, I wire transferred the money. Then, I found out that it had to be torn down, as there was apparently extensive interior damage that wasn't listed on the ad. Ebay does NOT cover real estate transactions...so I found out that my 2nd safeguard wasn't real. I found a new house through a realtor, (I'm currently staying with my parents, I have a college degree but it's not helping in this economy)and I need the money I originally wire transferred for the payment. They stole $5,900. If anyone would be so kind as to help, I'd really appreciate it. And either way, BEWARE of real estate on ebay!

Please offer your assistance.

My 18 yr. old daughter graduates this year. We are so very proud of her because she has struggled throughout school and has really fought to get where she is today. One of her wishes throughout the years was to be able to go on a week long cruise for her graduation present. For the past several years we have managed to scrape financially and come up with the money to fulfill her wishes and have saved to make this trip happen. Recently i have had to have extensive medical treatment for a neurological disease and the medical bills have been mounting which has caused my wife and i to take the final payment saved up for the surprise trip for my daughter and use it for medical. This really hurts because we had really hoped to do this for her because of the struggles she has overcome. As long as she has been old enough to hold a job, she has worked and helped us several times with bills in order to just stay afloat and we wish to give back to her.

At this point, we have attempted to borrow the money to make this happen but are unable to do so and cannot take on another monthly payment. Generous donations will help us make this dream come true for her.

We are in need of just $1,300. Thank you

I Am Willing To VOLUNTEER To Work For Free!

Posted by mraasv on 2011-05-02 15:58:13

All I want is a chance to prove myself.I live in Anaheim CA.I have extensive experience doing things like 711,Wal-Mart,Pizza Hut,etc.
Unfortunately I was out of work for 2 years because my ID expired when I moved to a new state. It took me 2 years to get my birth certificate from California. Now I have moved back and been trying nonstop for the first 4 months of the year!
It's May now and though I have been on a few interviews there is still no job in sight.
I have several limitations which make it hard to find work:
1.I don't drive.I CAN but since I have no license or car I can't do any job that requires either.
2.I can't speak Spanish. Many of the service industry jobs I used to do,I won't be considered for because I am no bilingual.
3.I have no ability to travel or commute.I have to work in my immediate area because otherwise I would have no way to get back to where I sleep after work.
I am accepting donations of cash, checks,or preferably gift cards to places like Wal-Mart or Target(for clothing, hygiene items,and/or a cheap dispoable phone so potential employers can reach me).Any donation of any amount can be sent to:
Michael Raasveld
General Delivery
Anaheim CA 92803
However what would be of the most help is a job!Any job!I just need a small part time job that would allow me to go back to school.(I have a full scholarship but until I obtain a local ID and can pay the registration fees I cannot even register!I only have one year to go on my degree!)
Are you a manager at a fast food or convenience store franchise?Would you like to help someone who is a good worker get back on their feet?I have someplace I can stay as soon as I can prove I have a job with income no matter how small! And I am even willing to VOLUNTEER!That's right,I will work for FREE to prove my value as an employee!
Please! This is all I can think of to do!You are my last hope!I have been living like this for years now.I just want a chance.
I do not smoke, drink,or do any drugs!I just want a chance.

Will Somebody help a one Armed Burn Survivor??

Yes I'm the Burnedguy and life is not treating me so well. I appreciate everyday that I'm alive but financially I'm suffering pretty bad. I live on disability as I can no longer work due to my extensive injuries. I know that there are people out there willing to help but I can't seem to find anyone that will HELP ME. I'm buried in debt and ends are far from being met. I hope someone will choose my listing to donate. Anything that you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
