I spent 5 years working so hard to achieve my goal of becoming the first person in my family to get their college degree. One year shy of graduating I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I lost my job and had to go down to part time due to health problems, and I no longer have the ability to continue on with my dream. I physically can not do it. My medical bills continue to mount and I now have $75,000 in student loans I have to pay back for something I will never be able to use. MS is an expensive disease to have, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I am devastated and completely lost. I am out of options and money and each day that passes is bringing more stress than the one before. I am doing everything I can but I can't keep up with the collection calls anymore. If you feel it in your heart to help I can promise your kindness will not go unrewarded.

I am a College student with a plee for help among many others. I am doing a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Games Development.
But the modeling and game engine software is insanely expensive. I also require a powerful computer for the creation of these games and the use of the powerful modelling software which i need.
My family can not afford this, so i have to work in College on my coursework. I am not able to work at home as the computer we have is not powerful enough. My Family find it exceeding difficult, especially me as it is showing on my grades because of my lack of work that i can hand in. I can not keep up.

My name is Sadie, I am 25 and I am from the UK. 3 years ago my twin sister went to Australia for 2 months but never came back. She struggled to find work after graduating in England and felt prospects were much better in Australia.

I have always felt like my life is on hold until she returns - but until then I dream of going over there to see her. Maybe even suprise her! She has a new life now but I am desperate to go and see her for a holiday and meet her new friends.

Flights are really expensive - they are at a minimum about £1000. I have been trying to save and have managed to save £125 so far but I am a long way from my goal and would like to see her soon :)

I'm trying to start a small bicycle repair shop and I'm looking for anyone that can give me some start-up money. The money will be used mainly for tools as they are extremely expensive since they're specialty tools. I have just received a notice that my landlord will have me evicted because I am late on my rent. I'm 14 days late. I've been managing to make ends meet but I haven't been able to find a job and my previous employer has went out of business after working there for 5 years. I have filled out so many applications, made phone calls, physically went in to speak with a manager and still no luck. I go to every job, career, or hiring fair I can and still nothing. I paid my April rent and had nothing left but $17 in my pocket. I bought rice and beans and that's all I've eaten for the past month. I only eat 1 meal a day because I can't afford to eat anything more. My light are off because I couldn't pay it. I've sold everything I think is of value...my laptop, my tv, my phone, and any expensive clothing items I owned (which were gifts). I'm 20 years old and my parents can't help, they are bankrupt as of 6 months ago. I try not to let anyone see me down about this, but I'm extremely depressed because of this and I'm trying everything I can to help myself.

My children, ages 9 and 11, would like to play in the town's recreation soccer program.

Registration for each child is $45, and the least expensive pair of cleats is $16. Shin guards are another 5$ each.

I am a 43 year old woman who had a heart attack in February. WHile I'm getting back on my feet, I am also trying to finish my last semester of college. i have experienced a major loss of income and an increased living expense and have fallen behind on my bills so bad that i can not even dream of a future. i know what i need to do, i am determined to do it but i am unable to afford the cuurrent bills and find it difficult to even dream of fulfilling my plans for a secure future for myself and my children. my plan is to catch up on the current bills, get out of the car loan that i currently have and purchase a vehicle that has less expensive payments, repair my credit,my taxes and enroll in courses for real estate and/or bookkeeping. i have 2 children who have suffered and lost out on so much due to the finances, the job requirements and insecurity. i really need help to follow through and i promise to pay it forward when i am able. i will appreciate any help i can get and will keep all donors posted on the progress if they are interested. i have worked hard my whole life and have never caught a lucky break. unfortunately i have chosen a career that requires skills that i either do not have or that i am getting too old for. i have been in this business since i left home at 17 and have worked in every facet of the business but the job i am best at is for younger people and i am quickly approaching the age where i will no longer be able to comprete or will find employment less likely. i am looking for a better life. an easier life and the opportunities that i deserve but i am unable to obtain in my current situation, job and finances. please help me. i need approximatly $15-20000 but anything will help , be very appreciated and well invested. thank you

I am seeking help to pay for my son's college tuition and associated fees. My son has been accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. It is an honor for anyone to be accepted to this esteemed institution, however my son's story is quite exceptional. When he was 10 years old, he nearly lost his right arm due to a post-surgical bleed. He was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder known as von Willebrands. He has been left with a disabled arm and hand. He only has use of his thumb on his right hand. His childhood was comprised of surgeries and infusions. When he was 12 years old, he asked if he could buy a guitar. He was so happy because he had seen Tommy Emmanuel playing guitar with a thumb pick on television. He purchased the guitar and began working on a technique to play. He can only use his thumb to pick the guitar strings and must hold his fingers in a special position so that he does not mute the strings. His goal since age 12 has been to study at Berklee. It is an honor to be accepted to such a fine school. Despite a severe disability he has been able to achieve this remarkable goal. Financing his education is going to be extremely difficult. Berklee is an expensive college and scholarships seem scarce. If you know of any scholarships that would be available for him please let me know. Hello, and thank you for taking time to read my post. I am a 21 year old single mother to a little girl. I am struggling to make ends meet, and I'm having a hard time staying strong for my little girl. My ex husband has been unemployed. Therefore, I do not recieve any financial help from him. If you're a parent, you know that daycare is very expensive. I simply cannot do it all on my own. I need your help. I am a very prideful person, and do not like asking for help, but I do not know what else to do. I owe $400, and have sold things, thought of odd jobs, but have still come up shorthanded. So, please help us. I want to be able to provide for my daughter and keep a roof over her head. She will be 2 in a few months, and I want her to have a "home."

What do you say when you are entreating an entire world of strangers to come to your aid? How do you sound deserving of their help? How do you express, without writing a novel, why you are in need, how you came to be there, how you came to choose this way of seeking help, and how very afraid you feel.
First, the reason I chose this method. I was feeling frustrated one night after being asked to work another fund raiser. While there is no doubt that the family is very much in need their financial security was markedly better than my own. I was wondering why it seemed that it was always people who already had some means at their disposal who got that kind of sympathy and help. Obviously I was feeling self centered but still the thought remained, what kind of resources were there out there for people like me, people barely above poverty level and struggling to keep from going under. So...I started searching the internet and came across references to "begging" online. I was shocked, I was appalled...I was hopeful. The anonymity of it was a big plus.
Feeling so hopeless, and out of control is very frightening for me. I work with the public. The street people call me Smiley because I try to always stay upbeat while at work and they know that if I can I will always help them with a dollar or two when they need it. There are many people ( even those who are only a few years younger than my 55) who call me Mom and have come to me for assistance both emotionally and financially. I have two adult children of my own and many more that have come through my household and are a part of my family even though they are not related biologically. I send my own Mother money a couple times a month. She lives on a fixed income that doesn't even cover here cost of living. I can no longer afford these things but I don't know how to cut off the aid to others even though I, myself, am in need of aid.
My husband and I come from poor families and were determined to make a better life for our own children. Since we both only had high school educations neither one of us are in well paying jobs but we have always managed to survive and our children never had to worry about whether Mom and Dad were going to be able to feed and clothe them. But things have gotten progressively worse this year.
I tried to start a small business in order to provide my oldest grandchildren and one of my children with a secure job and something meaningful to do. Trying to keep them out of the "system" and teach them to have self respect, and trying to provide a means for them to have financial security. But the business never picked up and we were funneling money into it...my daughter lost her husband and we were also supporting her household. The financial strain has put us in debt that we cannot pay. Our cars have broken down, there are three running vehicles for six drivers to use getting to work and looking for work but no money to repair or replace them. My daughter and her children are living in my home, having lost theirs, and my husband and I are staying with my youngest and her family. Her husband was recently laid off and she is expecting her second child. My husband had to have surgery and that put him off work for six weeks, and now in order to keep his job we have to somehow pay for hearing aids ($3000 for the least expensive ones). Although it is hard we have stuck together and are helping each other as best we can.
The problem is that I see no end in sight. Just the electric bill is $6oo a month thru the winter months. Fuel is outrageous. Food for this many people (5 adults, 3 late teens, and 3 small children) is very expensive in this state. Mortgage payments, gas for cars, and phones...these are things everyone has to pay. I know there are many who are far worse off than I, at least we still have roofs over our heads. But the output is so much higher than the income and each month, each WEEK, sees me feeling a little more desperate. How will I, will we, end up? Will we all be living on the street next year? The interior of Alaska is no climate for the homeless. I don't know what it will take to make this better, to make my family secure but I hope there is help out there for us.

my wife and i constantly fight about money, because there isn't any. She has kids from a previous marriage and her ex doesn't pay child support. I am disabled due to depression and other mental stuff, and was in a bad car accident that causes me to constantly be in pain I am sure I will need back surgery soon. My wife and I tried to have a child together, and he died at birth. Paying for the funeral has been an ongoing thing. We are now expecting another child soon. I need to get a vehicle paid off to free up some money, and my wife wants an addition on the house. With my income, i am never going to be able to make my wife and kids dreams come true. Makes me feel like a loser everyday, and it's getting harder and harder to live with. maybe living has become too expensive for me....

My 2 younger boys have autism. They have problems sitting in their booster seats, and it has become very dangerous. In December, my youngest child fell asleep in his booster, and even though he is and was at the time, the proper height and weight, we stopped short and he fell out from under the seat, catching his head in the belt. He was okay, thank God. But... It scared us very badly. We are a family of 5 on one income and have no money to put aside for new seats. I want to buy them Radians by Sunshine Kids. They are seats where the 5 point harness goes to 85 pounds. My kids torsos are small, so they will fit them perfectly. However, the seats are extremely expensive, and cost are $290 a piece. And we need 2 of them. I am asking for help to but these carseats so my children can be ultra safe in the car and I won't have to be terrified for their safety. Please help. If everyone gave just a bit, we would surely come up with the money to buy them. thank you for looking.

Hi there - I am 51 and my partner is 57. We have worked all our lives but lost everything, all our savings, in a small business venture 8 years ago. We both work full time and have moved to a remote part of Australia where housing is cheaper as the housing market in Australia is one of the most expensive in the world and we would like to own one before it is too late. Time is fast running out for that to ever happen, due to our ages and income levels. I am terrified of winding up in the public housing system in 8 years, living on the Government pension of approx $585 per fortnight for the both of us. We are also in debt for $22,000 and we faithfully make these repayments each month. We just need a break to buy our own, simple & cheap house, we are both hard workers but our situation long term is bleak. I am so tired of struggling and never getting anywhere and time is so quickly passing by. Any help will be greatfully appreciated. No scammers etc please.
