You may know me as Jessica. I have posted here to request donations for graduate school. Not only do I have a great deal of student loan debt from my Graduate education with a Masters of Science in Nursing Education, Acute Care, the amount only continues to grow. This year alone, I must renew my certifications, obtain a new nursing license for multiple states, move and graduate. My education requires another 4-5 flights to Alabama for exams as well as possible hotel reservations/car rents in order to complete my education. I have always been starting from the beginning and optimistic trying to accomplish something in this country (CROATIA), regardless of that this system is pushing me at the bottom literally in all the ways. I have fought bravely and honestly, until I found myself in a situation that I am no longer alone and need to provide life to my daughter. After divorce from a violent husband who left us on the street without a cent I’ve lost everything I had no incentives to pay kindergarten and school, schoolbooks, etc. I came into a situation that I must either pay the bills or school and credit. I enrolled and studied computer science for 4.5 years, but for financial reasons I have never finished it though for the end I have to pass few exams. I was hopeing to get a better job for myself and bigger salary. I have been working 2 jobs for 18 years and but I can’t pay my bills and food . My girl is only 9 years but she’s the one of the best in her class, she’s singing, danceing, acting and have a lot of success in all of that. But she has a problem with her violent father. He took her on 20.08.2011. on a vacation that turned into horror. He drinks, beats her and threatens her not to say that she wants to go home. I don’t have anybody to ask to help me in this. However, we do not have funds nor for lawyers nor for such ventures. I am considering about that the daughter and I move to another city and start life all over again, but unfortunately, for that funds are also needed. Please believe that even the smallest donation would help us begin the fight with a windmill and provided us with a small chance and hope that following years we will be able to live normally. I want to continue working and fighting, and with my own hands keep feeding this little family consisting of my daughter and me. However, I cannot begin without funds and in debts. We in Croatia as single parents, that is legal representatives of a child after divorce, have no financial aids, donations or grants, except the child allowance, which is approximately 26 Euros per month. I do not want to complain or write letters of 10 pages, and believe me I have printed them in hundreds (about that I am writing my first book - "Our million beginnings"). I am writing only out of fear for my child and the fact that I am aware that I must take her away from the father abuser as soon as possible. Honestly, I do not expect anything but I must try on, one way or another, to realize for my child a better life. Thank you in advance.

Most of our credit cards are paid off but the ones that are not have been sent to collections. We have a couple old personal loans that we are still paying on. We have several past due Payday loans outstanding and the fees continue to accrue until they are paid off. We have already borrowed from family members so that is no longer an option.

Strange request, but I am desperately seeking a new laptop as mine has just broken and I need one for school. I cant afford to get a new one and am so worried about failing my exams because of this. All my coursework involves computers. I need about $400 for a standard laptop. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. Even if its just $1, I would be eternally grateful.

I'm in my 30s and in a desperate situation. Although I'm a very proud person, my situation has pushed me to act differently because of my responsibility towards my kids. I'm physically and psychologically unable to work due to my illness, although I'm a smart person. In past 18 years, I have had many surgeries; 12 of them on my spine because of severe scoliosis and 4 on my right hand. I have two lovely daughters, one is 16 who attends secondary school and the other is just a 7 months old baby.
About 4 months ago I found out that my husband suffers from bipolar disorder, after years of putting us through hell. He was hospitalized a few months ago and after he was discharged, in early January he left us with no support and went to another country. I have been struggling with tons of bills for months and now I'm left with everything to deal with as he ran up large amount of debts.
Despite everything that I have to deal with, every single day I'm in constant pain. All the time I feel exhausted from looking after a baby single handed during the day and night. My eldest has fallen behind at school work due to helping me and now her dreams for her future has shattered (she has A-level exams, was hoping to study Psychology at university). In order to function on a daily basis I struggle and need to take heavy painkillers such as morphine which makes me even more tired.I have no family and friends to help me. My mother is in her late 70's and lives in another country with her sister and my father died years ago.
Please help me financially by making any donation to help me clear at least some of my debts. I have no money to eat proper meals and I'm breastfeeding. I'm on a verge of nervous breakdown. In the past if I ever could help anyone I have done. So I'm waiting for karma to work, please help me if you can. I feel under extreme amount of pressure as if I'm taking my last breath.

Hello, I have never done this but I really need help right now. I am a mother of 4 great boys. I have been in school for 5 years now studying mechanical engineering and will graduate on Dec. 17th. I have been blessed to have assistance (Food Stamps, Medicaid, Section 8) while reaching my goal. But just recently my section 8 has rolled over and I missed the dead line. (All my fault I had two exams the day the lady wanted me to come in and I couldn’t make it.) So now I have paid 1/3 ($250)of my November’s rent (working home football games for the university) and December is approaching. I have a Job as an ME and I start January 1st (thank the lord) but I really need help paying my rent to hold us over till then. We have tried to hang on and have struggled to make it through. But now my mother has started getting very sick. She has a liver problem and just recently they told her one of her heart veins isn't working like it should. Because of this she has stopped working and now we don't have money to pay for her medications and exams she needs. We also can't pay the rent at all where we live.
