I'm a college student considering dropping out in order to help my family with the rent and bills that have been piling up. I'm supposed to be taking care of my mum, but instead, she's taking care of me, my drop out sister and drunk of an ex boyfriend, neither of which are willing to help her financially. Hello, I have fought a good fight and have recently gotten off of Social Security Disability. They have taxed me to death due to their errors. I have started working, but am drowning in debt due to the government demanding more taxes for their error. I would appreciate any help. I am giving back to society now, instead of depending on Social Security Disability. I was healed by God's grace and do not feel it was right to continue on Disability. I want to share with the world that God heals, but I have to get out of debt first. Since birth my son has had many difficulties and spent nearly half his life in hospital.
Finally in September last year he was diagnosed with an extremely rare metabolic disorder.
The specialists here are doing there best to try and help but have always been honest with us and said they really don't know much about the condition and everything we try is trial and error.
My son has now started to go down hill losing 5kgs in 3 months. He has always been small but now only weighs 11.1kg and 109cm tall.
We really need to take him to colorado USA to see a specialist there that can hopefully treat him so he can live a normal life. At this stage they have said that unless he gets treatment they don't know how long he will live.
I really wish I could afford to take him now but with 5 children to care for finances are very tight.

I am a single mom of 2 sons; 1 grown & doing wonderfully in the world & the other just entering his teen years. I've raised both boys on my own, survived despite chronic poverty & worked very hard for the past 25 years to do so. I am an unusually-talented & tenaceous woman, having changed careers several times in order to assure that my boys were always properly taken care of. Since 1995, I've worked in positions where I was unsupervised & done well ethically in that type of independent environment. As a subcontracted cab driver for the past 5 years, I've worked 60+ hours a week consistently, without vacation or any other benefits. I've missed only 8 workdays in all that time: 3 days for illness & 5 days straight this past August to care for my mother while she died. Several things have changed for me in the past few weeks. I came across an opportunity to start my own business. I crave the day when my earnings are no longer confined to poverty levels & the majority of my waking hours dictated by the terms of a subcontracted position. At 49, I'm still young enough to start fresh again, during these last few years before my youngest son flies the coup. I'm already well-practiced at working on my own. It's finally time for me to do that & reap the rewards as well.

In the meantime, my demanding schedule caused me to be lax in filing tax papers for 2008 & 2009. So, the last week of October, I filed the 2008 returns through a local tax preparer. I've just completed the 2009 books & submitted those to the tax preparer 2 days ago. The importance of the tax filings is that I have a refund of $2000 coming to me from 2008. The tax preparer told me it would take 2 to 4 weeks to receive those funds. So I began preparations to become this region's very first fully-trained SmartPhone & Tablet Repair Tech. Being a frugal woman, I formulated a plan to use the tax refund to pay $395 for the 10 days training & startup business tools. My son & I can easily live off of the remaining money while I launch my business. And with the additional refund from 2009 pending in another 6 to 8 weeks, I will be well-set to get my business rolling.

With the business plan & pending refund in mind; & following a serious disagreement on matters of proper customer service; I gave the cab company 30 days written notice & finished my last day on November 6th. I left on good terms with an option to return. But the owner has since filled my position, so even if I returned immediately, the hours would be sparse. Plus, I could no longer be happy there, having to repeatedly apologize to my customers because the company owner habitually re-contracts drivers of poor character. Swearing at, name-calling & being generally rude to customers & co-workers is unacceptable behavior, in my code of ethics.

However, my tax refund has yet to materialize. I called the IRS just today & finally got some information on my refund status. I already phoned them just 2 weeks ago to correct a major error by the tax preparer. The kind young woman I spoke with today informed me of yet another major error by the tax preparer; & because of that error, it will now be another month before they send a refund to me!

So here I am, trying to keep the faith & maintain my patience, but stressing over unpaid bills. The first of the month has passed. I live in HUD subsidized housing, & my rent is only $110, but it was due by the 5th. I have never been late with my rent, but this month I had to practically beg for the apartment managers to be patient in getting the rent paid. There are also utility bills of nearly $200 due, & my prepaid phone was shut off for several days last week until a good friend paid that bill for me. I had faith in my tax preparer & was counting on having my refund by now to pay those bills. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with his service at this point.

I spent 2 weeks trying to get a 'payday' or personal loan. But because I was a subcontractor & now I'm unemployed, no one is willing to make such a loan. I even dedicated a full day last week to 14 fruitless hours straight online, just trying to click enough surveys to pay the $50 phone bill. I receive no child support or welfare benefits. Sadly for my son, Santa will not be arriving until well after Christmas. At this point, my income is 0.

So what I am asking for is just enough money to get us by until the tax refund arrives. I can reasonably make $750 stretch through to mid-January.

I am proud. It is hard for me to ask for this. But it is even harder to grovel to my landlords & the utility companies. And it was never my intent to risk us losing our home. I am deeply concerned that this may happen. The timing is simply bad for us not to have our refund yet. I wish my tax preparer had done a better job for me.

I have been blessed with great health & an optimistic outlook, despite all my life's trials. Others are not nearly so lucky & I am truly grateful for my blessings. Hi my name is mariana miller and im a proud single mother of two. I do everything for my girls because they both deserve it. Im slightly ashamed to say im struggling financially and i dont have enough money to make ends meet, let alone provide them with a good christmas. Ive been unemployed since january 2011,due to my position being eliminated at work and my unemployment was exhausted this Oct. Since then ive been cleanin houses and I make tamales everyday to try and sell them but at a dollar per tamale it only takes me so far. My food stamps were cut off due to an error at the public aid office and my girls Mia (5) and Alisa (17) had to suffer a bit but all is well thanks to community food pantrys. Ive always thaught my girls how to survive while struggling and my oldest tells me "dont worry mom everythings going to b ok" but it stills breaks my heart that i cant have enough food this month not even to make tamales. Due to this temp. error i cant pay my rent,bills or nessesities, i really dont know where me and my girls are heading but we are all going to stay strong and just pray for the best. To escape certain death I had to jump out of the burning truck, sustaining injuries in the process. A few minutes later the truck exploded and was incinerated. There was no driver error. Everybody who hears my story tells me that I'm lucky to be alive. However, Ive been out of work ever since. I do have legal representation in a workers comp case pending in Pa. My lawyer informed me that it may take up to a year before I start receiving workers comp benefits because my employer failed to have workers comp coverage while operating his business in Pa. I have absolutely no income. I lost my home and is now staying with a relative, sleeping on his couch. My car was towed due to expired tags. My bill to get my car out of the tow yard is now $2500 and rising daily. If I dont get my car out I will lose it in less than two weeks. I'm in serious pain daily from my injuries but cant get medical treatment because I dont have medical insurance and is forced to wait until I begin receiving workers comp benefits before I can get medical treatment. I applied for and was denied public assistance because I have only joint, and not full, custody of my 6 year old daughter. Even though NC Dept Of Social Services sympathized with what happened to me they told me that nc dss policy dont allow a parent with only joint custody of his child to get public assistance despite the fact that the nature of my occupation (over the road commercial transportation)prohibits me from having full custody of my child. Despite my explanation to DSS, that due to the nature of my occupation(over the road commercial transportation)I cant have full custody of my child, I was still denied public assistance. I cant return to work until my injuries are treated. I dont know what else to do but reach out to people for financial help via Beglist.com. My situation is 100% verifiable. Couple of 5 are struggling extremely from lack of employment and funds. We are both divorced and have 5 kids to raise with constant obstacle to over come from our ex's. We have a total of 5 childern between us from our previous marriages and get very little to no assistance. I am a veteran and served in both operations against terroism
In iraq and afganistan I don't claim to be disabled as I have worked through my p.t.s.d. without the help of drugs from the v.a. I believe in self reliance and have always done whatever it takes to provide for my family but with the recession it has been hard in my area to find work. I go to college at my local college and I am using my g.I.bill to support my family which is not nearly enough to do as my Rm/Gf is unemployed but goes to college for cosmetology so she can better her life as well but has a semester or so left before she can get into a salon. I on the other am trying to get my AA so I can move up the latter to go to law school after my bachelor degree which I have about another 4 years left to do. We are in serious need of help our local community support funds are out. We are currently 4 months behind on rent and 1 month behind on electric and phone also kid expenses. I'm a single mom who recently switched jobs between two different divisions of the same company. My old division screwed up my pay and I lost about 2/3rd of a paycheck. They say my new division is responsible for correcting the error, my new division says there's nothing they can do to correct it because I wasn't on their payroll and they didn't make the error. I'm now behind two car payments and one rent payment, my landlord has been understanding but he will only wait so long. I'm also a month behind on my utilities (I already cancelled my cable service). My fiance works in construction and got laid off a year ago, he has been working odd jobs here & there but he can't find anything permanent. We don't qualify for any kind of assistance, not even temporary, because I "make too much". I need about $2000.00 to get completely caught up and not be past due on anything. It kills me to post here but I've already exhausted my options - I have very few family/friends who arent able to help.

I am a motivated, single-mother who earned her Bachelor's degree when my son was a toddler, with the hope that I could provide a stable living for my family. Sadly, I have come to the realization that I would probably be better off not working, financially speaking, and relying on governmental assistance.

It's truly disheartening that I cannot survive on a single income alone, working full-time in advertising/marketing for our local newspaper. I thought I was doing everything right. Where did I go wrong? I left my son's father when he was an infant because he was unfaithful to me several times. It was not a conducive or healthy environment for me or my son. Since then, his father has been absent from his life for over 5 years. Not one phone call. Not one visit. No birthday presents. No cards. No money to help with expenses. Nothing. We can handle his absence because I have several positive male role models who have taken my son under their wings. He is a very well-grounded young man and has strong morals, values, and integrity.

With that said, I am the only financial support for him and I and pay all the bills, insurance, etc. and often have my wages garnished because I have had a difficult time paying for a couple ER visits (my son has asthma and was hospitalized with pneumonia) even with my insurance. I feel as if I can't get a break even though I try to do good.

My son is almost 9-yrs old and has been taking Suzuki violin lessons (paid for by a family friend) for the past year and a half. He is also my budding electrician/engineer...and creates incredible inventions with his circuit boards, wires, LEDs & motors that he digs out of old electronics. He attends the Robot Club at the local high school...and the older kids accept him even though he is their youngest member. =) He has an extremely bright future & I am so proud of him. However, it is a constant struggle everyday for me to put on a smile because we are so far in debt. I owe $2500 to the IRS for a supposed error on my 2009 tax return (disagree...but can't afford an attorney to fight it), $800 hospital bills, $3000 from other creditors from credit cards I had when I was 20 (I'm 35 now). I pay $300/month for daycare, household bills, car payment, etc. I am a good person & have a heart of gold. I want to remain a good role-model for my son so he is proud of me. I do not want to have to resort to relying on governmental assistance. I just wish we could survive on my income. It would be feasable if these bills were paid. Please help us. Any size donation would be an absolute blessing!! We need some financial assistance to get us back on our feet again. We're going through an extremely rough time & any gift would help. Hi, I am writing because I am looking for rental assistance. In March of 2011 I found out that I was not getting my taxes back due to an error of the department of education and the agenicies. Since 2010 I have been paying Allied one of the payment agencies for my school loan only to find out that my account was sold in September (with no notice) to Coastal Professional. Because of this change I was considered a non payer to Coastal Professionals and had my taxes offseted even though I was still paying Allied. I am working right now to get this fixed. I am a mother of three wonderful boys ranging from the ages 10, 9 and 8. Taking my taxes hurt me more then I really imagined. My landlord gave me the oppurtunity to pay him with these funds becasue as a singel mother my car had broken down the previous month and had to get it fixed as I am the provider and transportation of my home. Not getting my taxes back then ended up putting me a month behind. I have been paying my Landlord with the little I get so that I do not continue to build a huge debt with them. I am looking for help to help me get caught up. The amount I need is $1,000.00. This includes rent and all fees. I am trying to stay our of eviction but only have 1 more week to get this together. Please HELP!

Help, I am 18 year old girl and I am trying to get help for my eating disorder. My doctor says if I don't get help I could have a heart attack or go into cardiac arrhythmia. I had to quit school because I am too weak to get out of bed, and even though I've seen the error of my ways, and I've started trying to eat again, I've done so much damage to my body that I can't keep down the food anymore. Please help, I'm so scared! I have such high hopes for the future, I want to be a doctor, and I am smart and hardworking enough to achieve my dreams. The only thing holding me back is the fact that I won't live long enough.

I am in a really tough spot right now, and I just need to get together enough money to cover my rent and bills for a little while. If I can do that I can be back on track and hopefully get my life headed back in the right direction.

I'm not the type of person who asks for help, ever. I've been on my own for years already and have done a pretty good job of taking care of myself I think. However, I've learned, through a series of unfortunate events, that bad things can happen to anyone. Rape, car repairs, surgery... and now I've been shorted on my paycheck and, although I did speak with my boss, they can't fix the error until my next pay period. Unfortunately for me, rent is due before then and if I can't make that I won't have a place to live any longer. I could continue into some sob story, but I think that people read enough of that. I'm just going to say that I am in desperate need of some help.

I've been going though everything that I own finding things to sell to make a few extra dollars, since every little bit counts, but I just don't have a lot of things that my day to day life doesn't require.

Anyway, this is my last idea as I have tried everything else that I can think of. If you're able to help me out in any way, I would appreciate it so much! You would really would be making my day, showing me that there are compassionate people out there. Thank you in advance!
