Help starting a small business
Posted by cb8031t on 2012-04-16 10:58:15
To whom it may concern:
I am a 32 year-old college graduate looking to start my own business. Right now, I am working part-time and swamped with bills and student loan repayments. I've tried to obtain a private loan from many banks but I have bad credit and have been rejected each time. So, I am appealing to you to help me in this endeavor. Your donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated. If I am successful, my business could possibly lead to jobs creation in the near future. Thank you in advance for your generosity and God Bless You!

Need help getting over the hump...

To whom it may concern,
Stated Goal: $2,000.00 (by March 21st, 2012) for tuition, books and some new pants to get my academic career going... Breakdown of $1,288.33 for tuition/fees, approximately $400.00 in textbooks/supplies for the quarter, and the remainder for some pants and necessary travel expenditures for the first month of school.
I know you have many options with where your hard-earned money goes - some may make you feel GREAT about shedding a few pounds in the wallet, and others will leave you feeling downright dirty. I know this, because I was once in your shoes; money in my wallet, left only to my vices as to where to spend it. I never felt right about just handing it over to someone who, in my opinion, would merely go drink it away, drug it away, etc. It's funny how life throws these things all back into your face sometimes, and as such I find myself in need and hoping that the right person(s) will have the faith to invest in me - that's right, I said INVEST.
I don't believe in a handout, but I DO believe that sometimes we fall a bit harder than we are prepared to do and as such are put into situations that we neither expected nor are comfortable with. I opened a business that was going rather well for its first 7 months of operation. Then, through an anonymous post from someone online that "appeared" to be from my company, me and my business partner got black-balled from the industry (VERY political/bureaucratic in that particular industry). When this went under, though, it took me and everything I own with it - my vehicle, my home and much of my personal belongings. Prior to that, I spent 11 years on active duty military status in order to protect and serve this country. Yes, I've earned the G.I. Bill and fully intend to use it for its designed purpose. TheMy defining issue, however, is that the Bill pays for school on a month-to-month basis, at the END of each month of training. For example, my school begins this April 2nd so I cannot claim my benefits until the end of April, which will cause my first G.I. bill payment to get sent out in early May. The school, however, requires payment up-front and as explained above, I currently do not have the capital to get started. Once I've started, the Bill will sustain me, therefore I merely ask for assistance in getting the first quarter of classes paid, including books. I have a great academic history, and this is truly where I excel. My purpose is to some day acquire a PhD in pharmaceutics and do research to find new and improved medications for the benefit of the masses.
As for the pants, I have two pairs remaining and both have holes in the legs and crotch. While these DO technically work for all intents and purposes, it gets a bit breezy on these cold days and nights, and is probably unsightly (at best) to any of my would-be professors who may not appreciate an instructor's-eye-view of these things. As such, I figure I might like to buy a couple of pairs prior to matriculation.
Thank you, in advance, to any and all who assist me on this endeavor.

Bridging a community

Hi I'm Dee and I have dreams of becoming a pharmacist. I have the grades and ambition but unfortunately I am lacking the funds. After servicing in retail pharmacy long enough to become financially stable I would like to invest in my own non-profit clinic for those who cannot afford medical attention. This endeavor will also create opportunities for students not yet admitted into their professional programs as well as teenagers looking for ways to boost resumes by offering volunteering services. I can assure you this is not a scam. I need all the help I can receive and no amount is too small. If you need more information which I'm sure you will please contact me through
Email: black_beeyouteeful@yahoo.com or by responding to this post. If you are not interested please pass along to someone who you think will be interested. Thanks.

Please, help us survive until the IRS Refund arrives?
Posted by BadTiming on 2011-12-15 02:58:24
I am submitting this request because we are in serious need of help. I know my story is long. I pray you will have the patience to read it through & consider my request.
I am a single mom of 2 sons; 1 grown & doing wonderfully in the world & the other just entering his teen years. I've raised both boys on my own, survived despite chronic poverty & worked very hard for the past 25 years to do so. I am an unusually-talented & tenaceous woman, having changed careers several times in order to assure that my boys were always properly taken care of. Since 1995, I've worked in positions where I was unsupervised & done well ethically in that type of independent environment. As a subcontracted cab driver for the past 5 years, I've worked 60+ hours a week consistently, without vacation or any other benefits. I've missed only 8 workdays in all that time: 3 days for illness & 5 days straight this past August to care for my mother while she died. I'll be happy to provide direct contact with the cab company owner, should you wish to verify this information.
Several things have changed for me in the past few weeks. I came across an opportunity to start my own business. I crave the day when my earnings are no longer confined to poverty levels & the majority of my waking hours dictated by the terms of a subcontracted position. At 49, I'm still young enough to start fresh again, during these last few years before my youngest son flies the coup. I'm already well-practiced at working on my own. It's finally time for me to do that & reap the rewards as well.
In the meantime, my demanding schedule caused me to be lax in filing tax papers for 2008 & 2009. So, the last week of October, I filed the 2008 returns through a local tax preparer. I've just completed the 2009 books & submitted those to the tax preparer 2 days ago. The importance of the tax filings is that I have a refund of $2000 coming to me from 2008. The tax preparer told me it would take 2 to 4 weeks to receive those funds. So I began preparations to become this region's very first fully-trained SmartPhone & Tablet Repair Tech. Being a frugal woman, I formulated a plan to use the tax refund to pay $395 for the 10 days training & startup business tools. My son & I can easily live off of the remaining money while I launch my business. And with the additional refund from 2009 pending in another 6 to 8 weeks, I will be well-set to get my business rolling.
With the business plan & pending refund in mind; & following a serious disagreement on matters of proper customer service; I gave the cab company 30 days written notice & finished my last day on November 6th. I left on good terms with an option to return. But the owner has since filled my position, so even if I returned immediately, the hours would be sparse. Plus, I could no longer be happy there, having to repeatedly apologize to my customers because the company owner habitually re-contracts drivers of poor character. Swearing at, name-calling & being generally rude to customers & co-workers is unacceptable behavior, in my code of ethics.
However, my tax refund has yet to materialize. I called the IRS just today & finally got some information on my refund status. I already phoned them just 2 weeks ago to correct a major error by the tax preparer. The kind young woman I spoke with today informed me of yet another major error by the tax preparer; & because of that error, it will now be another month before they send a refund to me!
So here I am, trying to keep the faith & maintain my patience, but stressing over unpaid bills. The first of the month has passed. I live in HUD subsidized housing, & my rent is only $110, but it was due by the 5th. I have never been late with my rent, but this month I had to practically beg for the apartment managers to be patient in getting the rent paid. There are also utility bills of nearly $200 due, & my prepaid phone was shut off for several days last week until a good friend paid that bill for me. I had faith in my tax preparer & was counting on having my refund by now to pay those bills. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with his service at this point.
I spent 2 weeks trying to get a 'payday' or personal loan. But because I was a subcontractor & now I'm unemployed, no one is willing to make such a loan. I even dedicated a full day last week to 14 fruitless hours straight online, just trying to click enough surveys to pay the $50 phone bill. I receive no child support or welfare benefits. Sadly for my son, Santa will not be arriving until well after Christmas. At this point, my income is 0.
So what I am asking for is just enough money to get us by until the tax refund arrives. I can reasonably make $750 stretch through to mid-January.
I am proud. It is hard for me to ask for this. But it is even harder to grovel to my landlords & the utility companies. And it was never my intent to risk us losing our home. I am deeply concerned that this may happen. The timing is simply bad for us not to have our refund yet. I wish my tax preparer had done a better job for me.
I have been blessed with great health & an optimistic outlook, despite all my life's trials. Others are not nearly so lucky & I am truly grateful for my blessings. I am also grateful to you for your consideration in this matter. Giving to others to help them improve their lives is indeed a noble endeavor. Bless you

the dog ate my money
Posted by kippy5jack1 on 2011-12-14 17:58:38
This is my first endeavor into cyber begging or what ever they call it. As I was looking at the sites and stories I realized my dilemma is quite small compared to others. I am almost embarrassed to write it but here goes. I am currently homeless, staying in a shelter with a bone disease in my right leg. It is not fatal but it sure does present a not being able to support myself situation. The future while it looks better is still bleak on the money front. My bone disease is not going away for ten years they tell me. Thatâs it I can not work, I am horrendous medical shape, I am out of funds, I would really appreciate help. I am a nice person though and do my best to help others in what ever small way I can, must be the catholic in me. Retired altar boys rock! God bless you and have a Merry Christmas. Opps Happy New year also! Oh and the dog did not really eat my money but he could use some food.
finding my son

I am trying to get $500 to start a court process to open my birth son's open adoption records. He is almost 21 years old & I have been searching for years to find him. I had contact with the adoptive family until he was 4 years old. I lost the contact information a year later due to unfortunate circumstances beyond my control. I really want this contact back. I need help to finance this endeavor. PLEASE help?
Need helping hands for Widows & Orphan...

I have been actively involved in making a difference to peopleâs lives, in their times of need. I have been involved in various types of social activities which includes (providing relief supplies to people during natural disasters, providing a minimum amount to widows in a form of pension and helping orphan).
It has been my endeavor to bridge the gap between people who need help and people who are willing to help. I am proud to inform you that I have been quite successful in my various attempts.
This has been possible only with the continued support of people like you who have offered me help both in cash and kind. To continue with the good work I am doing, I request you to kindly make a liberal donation because a single dollar of your donation can give food to four hungry person atlest. Need Help Funding My Medical School Fees
Posted by razzy on 2011-04-30 13:58:01
Hi there, my name is Abby, and I'm currently about to enter Medical school. My family isn't well off to begin with, so this endeavor was hard. Luckily, I was able to obtain a scholarship, so my first year of school is free (the first year, anyway). The problem is, Medical school books are very, very expensive. For me to afford all the books, I need a total of $700. I hope you can help me. I want to make my dream of being a doctor come true. I know my problem isn't as grave as the others have here, but I'm doing this for my parents. I don't want them to spend any more money, especially since my dad is currently unemployed.
Need money for medical bills, weight loss program
Posted by Tayo on 2011-04-25 16:58:59
Hello,
Thank you for taking a moment to look at my post. My need is surely much less urgent than the needs of many others on here, but I must ask for help.
I work for a non-profit hospice who recently had to eliminate part of my position to save money. It looks like I might get some hours back, but right now I am having trouble paying bills, particularly for diagnostic tests and doctors visits as we try to identify my autoimmune problems. I know too that losing weight would help me with my pain, energy level, and so much more. I generally eat pretty healthy foods, so I need to kick-start weight loss. I want to do the ideal protein diet but cannot afford it right now. If you are able to help me, I would benefit is so many ways and would endeavor to help others in turn.
Many thanks, and peace be with you.

Tuition to keep couple close
Posted by Dylanj on 2011-04-05 05:58:04
I am trying to move to Australia to study International Business at Bond University where my full tuition for the duration of my degree will be $14,420 per semester. I am going to move there with my girlfriend whom I intend to marry. She is an Australian citizen who's mother took her and four brothers from their close knit family when she was seven years old to move in with an alcoholic man who was to become her stepfather. Within the first week of moving to the states and in with the man they children had never before met, he began sexually abusing her. This would continue to happen multiple times a week for six years. She kept it a secret because he threatened to kill her if she told anyone. When she was eleven years old she told one of her friends whose mother reported this to the authorities. She was then taken to a safe house and after a few weeks and his denial of doing so, her mother told her that she was a liar and that her stepfather did no such thing. As if such a young girl could describe so vividly such horrible acts. After moving back into the house and being told by her mother that she was a liar, he continued to molest her for another two years. He also physically and emotionally abused her and her brothers. She finally moved out of her house her senior year and moved in with my mother who unfortunately grew up in a very similar environment (I found out about both their pasts about a month apart from each other). My girlfriend having been estranged from her Australian family and being forced to live in an abusive household for years, only knowing her mothers word to be the truth, was able to reunite with her Australian family this past December. Her mother had told her that their family over in Australia was corrupt and they all hated each other, and that they were generally bad people. She had also been emailing the family about what how horrible her kids were and that my girlfriend was a loose young girl doing an assortment of drugs, all of which was false as she had been with me the last year and we donât indulge in such acts being that Iâve had relatives O.D. and her stepfather is an alcoholic. When her Australian family came to Disneyland they called her up and she was able to go visit them for their two-day stint in California. She was able to find out just how wrong what she had grown up knowing to be truth was. The family that supposedly hated each other was on an 18 day family vacation involving 13-15 hour flights each way with 12 people ranging from grandparents to grandkids. Obviously they don't hate each other or they wouldn't take such a trip. They were not corrupt, but hard working honest people consisting of two police officers, a brother and brother-in-law who were partnering in an entrepreneurial endeavor and the others working for the family engineering firm. My girlfriend has been seeing a therapist who has helped her in to begin recovering from the psychological damage. She has also been establishing a very healthy and happy relationship with her Australian relatives via the Internet and phone calls. Her uncle has offered to pay for her throughout college if she goes to university there as top schools cost a mere six thousand dollars for citizens. She is weary of going because she does not want to leave me as I have a played a big part in helping her find the strength to leave her abusive family and getting her in touch with my mother who has been the best motherly figure she could possibly have. I want her to go as I know how much having her family means to her. Seeing how happy she has become at the thought of reuniting with her family as well as seeing her father who she has not seen or talked to for 11 years, I know in my heart that she needs to go. As you could imagine I do not want to leave her either and that is why I am trying to get myself over there. We plan to get married as soon as I can get into a career and be able to support her, she wants to sooner, but I wont until I can give her what I feel she deserves. As you can imagine, spending three to four years apart on almost literally opposite sides of the earth would be very emotionally stressful on the both of us and the last thing I want to do is to make her hurt anymore than what she has had to endure.
My plan is to move to Australia and attend Bond University where I will get a bachelors degree in International Business. Bond runs three semesters a year as opposed to the generic two semesters per year of most other colleges. This will allow me to finish my degree in two years. The cost of tuition will be $86,520 total equaling $14,420 per semester, which is the same as it would be at the University of Queensland, which is a public college as opposed to private. The cost of on campus living ranges from $640-$10,040 a month depending on what would be available. I have a road bike that I am going to use for local transportation and I plan to sell my car which KBB value is $13,000 and buy a motorcycle that I can ride for longer trips so I can save on gas. The remainder of the Car money will obviously go towards tuition. I am currently in school in California and trying to get a job while in school. As soon as this semester ends I am going to try for a job on the offshore oil platforms as they can make $1,500-$2,000 a week from what I have read. I plan to work that until September semester would start in Australia. That would give me between $13,500-$24,000 depending on what they pay and whether they use a one week off two week on or one week on one week off schedule. I plan to work while in school full time there. My family cannot afford to assist me as both of my parents are sales people and this economy has greatly reduced their incomes to barely paying the bills.
I appreciate your taking the time to read my post and wish you well.
My family cannot afford to assist me as both of my parents are sales people and this economy has greatly reduced their incomes to barely paying the bills.

help starting a business

I am 25 years old and I am trying to start my own business, I love making soap and would like to start my own line of natural homemade soaps. I would need about $1500 â $2000 to purchase the items I need to start in this endeavor. I have been trying to save up the money on my own to do this but with bills that need to be paid and my car falling apart around my ears and rent it has become impossible. Please give me the opportunity to follow my dreams.
In Need of Dental Work
Posted by AnnieM on 2010-12-03 15:58:58
I am a married mom of 4 young kids, and have always put my kids' health before my own. Unfortunately, after my youngest child was born, my husband's trucking company hit a rough patch and he unfortunately lost his business altogether. Even with my husband and I both working, he driving a truck for another company and me taking care of children from home, we have been barely scraping by. When it comes to whether my children or I would go to the dentist or doctor, I always put my own dental care on the back burner...and with four kids needing to see a dentist at full cost (we make too much for Medicaid but can't afford insurance) every six months, I haven't seen a dentist in years. My teeth's enamel was badly damaged by nebulizer treatments I received as a child. I fortunately have not suffered any infections from badly rotting and broken teeth, but I fear that very much. The pain is not yet as bad I thought it would be; I see broken teeth when I look in the mirror and think that it looks very painful, but fortunately I am only in pain when I drink/eat something that is hot or cold and occassionally at other times.
I am currently on the waiting list for new patients at the dental clinic of University of Texas at San Antonio. The major problem with the dental clinic, however, is that they require patients to commit to at least two daytime appointments a month, and often require that patients be available on short notice for appointments that are about 40 minutes from my home I cannot keep my job as a childcare provider while taking off twice each month for the extended period this would require, and especially cannot leave at short notice. But, Dr. Ngo, a dentist near me has office hours on Saturdays and in the very early mornings before I am needed as a childcare provider. If anyone is so kind as to offer me some money to put toward dental work with Dr. Ngo, he or she is offering me something quite priceless---the ability to restore my smile without depriving the families I work for of childcare. I would be so grateful for any donation, no matter how small, toward this endeavor. I plan to put small donations in an interest-bearing savings account separate from other household money to ensure that your donations go only to this much needed dental work.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and please have a great day.

I desire a new computer/printer which would be suitable for this endeavor. I use a library which only gives me a limited time each day. Many well meaning friends have given me older computers which have problems costing more than they are worth. I would be grateful for any hep with this need. Thank you.
Money for Others
Posted by Stcharity on 2010-07-16 20:58:58
I am looking for money, or items to assist me in helping others,e.g. office equipment, office space etc.
For a long time, I have desired to help others - to alleviate physical, mental, emotional and financial suffering.
I, myself could use such help, but being hat most of my tm is dedicated to assist others, that is my reward!
I try also to assist in 'educating' people regarding the political, social and economic situation involves ALL OF US!
A place to turn, ...
I ask for your help in this endeavor.
Thank you
